At Bryn Du the 52 acre estates surrounding areas are filled with many different types of locations for your event. Our expansive patios, beautiful mansion and spacious Fieldhouse offer a variety of options depending on what you have in mind for your big day. Our Carriage House is used for showers and rehearsal dinners. Brides can get ready in the Mansion bridal suite. Here, you can choose your own caterer and bring your own alcohol products allowing you to tailor your event to your mood and tastes. While we provide this wonderful location, we also work with your caterer and other vendors to make your day as special as possible. Our staff is here to make your day worry free, flexibility and a stress free day is what we strive for. The Estate is yours for the day; no 4 hour windows here!

Enchanting and romantic, I cannot say enough about the Bryn Du Mansion! We had our wedding in a tent on the back lawn in late September and our cocktail hour was in the mansion. The Bryn Du crew took care of us from start to finish and worked with us to find the vendors that would create the wedding of our dreams. This community gem is so beautiful and is a perfect venue for a large wedding! Most of our guests had never been to Ohio before and they could not stop commenting on how magical Bryn Du was and how unique of a space and vibe it is. The Bryn Du team maintained a standard of excellence throughout the entire wedding process and exceeded all our expectations. Their customer service and kindness were unmatched! We are so thankful to the Bryn Du team and would highly recommend this venue!

We just recently had our wedding reception at the Bryn Du Field House on 12/31/2021. We started working with Bruce & Athena in 2019 when planning the first scheduled wedding. Due to Covid, we rescheduled our wedding three times; each of which Bruce & Athena were there to make the transition for us as smooth as possible. To think what their business must have been going through during the past few years, to have them there for us with a smile on their faces and willing to do whatever they needed to satisfy us, is something we will hold close to our hearts forever. Their passion to have each event be exactly what their client wants is something that is so obvious in any interaction. They were beyond accommodating any time we wanted to stop by and see the venue, had any questions or needed our vendors' questions answered. I would work with them and have our reception at Bryn Du a hundred times over. They are organized and have an itinerary for all tasks needed completed; they provide a recommended vendor list and they are there for any assistance during the day of the event. They are such a pleasure to be around and I will miss the constant interaction with them. It is rare to work with people for one event and be left with the feeling of, I hope to know them forever; but that is how they made us feel. If you are deciding between venues for your event, we recommend going with Bryn Du. Not only was our event beautiful with compliments galore, it was such a peaceful process that every person planning an event deserves to have which was made possible by the people of Bryn Du.

Bruce and Athena were amazing! We got married on the Terrace and had the reception in the Fieldhouse. We also rented the carriage house for the bridal party to get ready in and it was a perfect day! They helped me out when I had a million questions or wanted to see the venue for measurements leading up to the day of the wedding. I highly recommend Bryn Du Mansion and Fieldhouse!
We couldn’t have had a better venue for our wedding. Bryn Du is absolutely beautiful. The mansion was the perfect size for our 54-person wedding. Bruce and Athena from Bryn Du were great to work with leading up to our wedding. They both were so helpful and quick to answer my questions via email and you can tell that they really care about you and your wedding day.
This venue is absolutely beautiful. Everything about our wedding day was perfect. Athena and Bruce were so accommodating, professional and helpful especially since we had to postpone a year due to the pandemic. I would highly recommend this venue for anyone looking for a unique venue outside of the city.

Amazing Venue! The staff is very friendly and will help you with whatever you need, the landscape/Mansion proves a breathtaking backdrop for photos, and the location has 2 different venues you ca pick from on the property. We want to have a party there once a year!

We had an incredible wedding day (and planning) experience with Bruce, Athena, and the team at Bryn Du. My wife and opted to go for the Mansion space, and use tents outside if the weather turned out (it did).
The space is beautiful, huge outdoor options with perfect gardens alongside very classic structures in the Mansion. You cannot go wrong.
We appreciate all the consultation, advice, and past experience the team drew on for our big day.
The space is huge, another wedding was going on at the field house on the same day and we did not even notice it.

I could go on for days about how amazing Bruce and Athena are. We had our wedding at Bryn Du this past July and couldn't have imagined picking a better venue. Bruce and Athena are so helpful and always had an answer for my never ending emails full of questions. Someone is on site for the event until it's over in case anything happens or you need anything. It was a nice peace of mind to have and everything went so smooth and so perfectly. We really liked being able to pick our own vendors and bring in our own alcohol, it really helped keep costs low and in budget. We used the garden space for our ceremony and the back yard for our tent reception and back porch for our bar/cocktail hour area. I couldn't have imagined a more beautiful day and am so grateful for Bryn Du and the staff for making our wedding perfect.

We got married at Bryn Du Field House on October 12, 2019, and I would highly recommend it as a wedding venue. Bruce and Athena are helpful and easy to work with. They promptly answered my many emails, and they gave great recommendations for food/table/decoration vendors in the area. We had about 160 guests, and Bryn Du was very reasonable for a large wedding. It’s good to know that Bryn Du doesn’t lock you in to any vendors or extra fees. You just rent the building, and you can fill it with anything you want for your special day.

Bruce and Athena were wonderful to work with, before and after we booked the venue. They made everything very clear and I always knew what was going on. One of them was on site during the wedding day in case something went wrong, but they did not hover. I highly recommend booking Bryn Du Mansion. It is a great price with a lot of flexibility with how you want you wedding to be. There is no required caterer, photographer, or anything. They do give a list of recommended vendors who have worked there before, but you are not required to use them. You can also have your rehearsal and set up the day before your wedding, which other venues do not always have.

We wanted a beautiful and classy yet affordable venue for our March 2019 wedding, and Bryn Du was a perfect fit for us. We had both our ceremony and reception in the clean and sleek Fieldhouse as our party was a bit large for the Mansion, and the entire grounds were at our disposal for photography purposes. Bruce and Athena were so accommodating and helpful with our preparation and in helping to orchestrate the event, and were invaluably helpful in offering lots of suggestions for services from caterers to entertainment to officiant. Great staff to work with, gorgeous venues and grounds, and exceptional memories. Thank you!

Bryn Du Mansion Fieldhouse was absolutely amazing!! The service from Bruce and Athena along with the decor and space completely exceeded my expectations!! We were married on the hottest weekend of the year and the fieldhouse was perfectly pre-cooled. We got married in May at the Mansion. This is a really lovely venue with great perks. You can provide your own alcohol, which cuts costs. Bruce is a really kind director and he helped me often and quickly. The mansion fits small weddings—ours was about 80. We wanted to use the front portico as the dance area so it would be more open, but sadly it rained. We had also booked the beautiful garden for the ceremony but couldn’t use it because of the rain. Sadly, no refund for that. But Bryn Du was really ideal for us and we were quite happy with our choice! It is beautiful!

We got married towards the end of March in the fieldhouse. I visited a few other places before selecting Bryn Du. I knew the moment I walked into the fieldhouse that it would give me the princess wedding I had always dreamed of. Everyone that attended the wedding couldn't stop talking about how amazing the wedding was. If you decide to get married at Bryn Du use Pat to do the light decorating. It costs a little but worth every penny. Bryn Du made my wedding perfect!

Bryn Du is a beautiful facility with unique architecture and scenery. The staff is extremely personable and accomodating. Bruce answered all of our questions and made us feel like his #1 clients all the way until our big day. I would highly recommend Bryn Du to anyone planning their wedding.
My husband and I got married at Bryn du Mansion in early August. We used the Formal Gardens for our ceremony and the back lawn for our dinner and reception. We were down to Bryn du and one other venue in Granville before making our decision and ultimately went with Bryn du after meeting with Bruce Cramer. We just knew he was going to make our lives much easier during the planning process - and we were right. Bruce and Athena were awesome to work with and so responsive when we had any questions. I would absolutely recommend Bryn du to couples considering venues in the Granville area. The property is just gorgeous and makes a great canvas for an outdoor wedding!

The grounds are beautiful and offer several locations for pictures, plus there are multiple options for a ceremony or reception, depending on size and budget. The Bryn Du Mansion was a wonderful venue and really made our wedding the most special day of our lives. The flexibility of the spaces (we used the front porch for the ceremony, the Mansion for a cocktail hour, and the fieldhouse for the reception) really allowed us to decorate in just the perfect way. The fieldhouse was so versatile and looked gorgeous for the big day. We were able to bring our own vendors, which allowed us to work around and find best matches to our tastes. Bruce and Athena have so many connections in the Granville/Columbus area, that finding those perfect vendors were a cinch! They were also so helpful and communicative beforehand, answering any questions and providing recommendations, but also day of, helping to guide our guests to each part of the day's events. The Bryn Du Mansion was amazing and we would recommend it to anyone thinking of getting married in the Columbus area!

Fantastic venue with stunning outdoor views and beautiful indoor décor. Carfagnas Catering provided us outstanding bar and food service and made tear-down a breeze. Bryn Du staff was very helpful and accessible.

Bryn Du is a beautiful venue & all of our guests raved about the scenery and how perfect it was!
The only thing keeping me from giving Bryn Du a five star rating is their communication. There were times when items weren't communicated clearly with us leading up to our big day. When certain buildings would be unlocked, when we needed to have everything out of the buildings and certain spaces, etc.
Otherwise, the staff is extremely helpful and was always willing to lend a helping hand!
It is a little odd that the venue doesn't have its own tables, chairs, etc. considering how many events they hold and the rental cost of the property. We were responsible for finding all of our own rentals. However, they do have a list of preferred vendors on their website, which made research easier.
The grounds are well-kept, with the exception of a few flower beds that seemed neglected due to the large amount of grass area that I'm sure is the main point of attention.
I would recommend Bryn Du to any couple looking for a venue in central Ohio. I would just suggest really nailing down expectations for communication as you sign your contract.
This is an amazing venue! Performed there with my band (The Martini Affair, wedding band based out of Columbus, Ohio) last November for a wedding and it was absolutely beautiful.

We had both our ceremony and reception at the Bryn Du Mansion and could not have asked for a better location. We got married outside the mansion overlooking the 40+ acres, had our cocktail hour in the mansion itself, then had the reception in the fieldhouse. We loved that everything was at one location and no one had to travel. Bruce and Athena were very responsive with emails and phone calls and always accommodated to our questions or if we wanted to stop by! Another plus is you get to hire your own vendors and bring your own alcohol (definitely saved us a lot of money) and it really was our vision.

Dreams came true! My husband and I were really seeking to find a beautiful "Southern Garden Style" setting to have both our ceremony and reception. Bryn du Mansion was the perfect slate to work with to build on that vision. Bruce and Athena were some of the easiest contacts we worked with throughout the whole planning process, which was so refreshing during a super stressful time (and not true across the board). They were always responsive and attentive to our needs in the months leading up to the wedding and the day of. We had our wedding ceremony in the Formal Gardens, our Reception on the back lawn and our dance floor on the back terrace - it was absolutely beautiful!

We had our wedding reception at the Fieldhouse in November 2017, and it was wonderful! Athena and Bruce are easy to work with and were very professional and courteous with follow-ups to me and our vendors leading up to the day. The fieldhouse is kind of a blank slate, which provided an excellent backdrop for personalizing the decorations and entire theme. We had close to 300 guests and there was plenty of space for table seating, a food buffet, an ample dancefloor and DJ setup along with 2 bars and 4 restrooms, so it didn't feel congested even with such a big crowd. We also rented the adjacent Carriage House for the bridal party to get ready and have a sort of home-base for our things for the day, which was definitely worth it. I'd recommend this venue to future couples, especially for larger weddings.

I can't say enough about how amazing our experience was at Bryn Du. My husband and I were married there on 05/19/2018, and everyone commented on how amazing our venue was. They have options to rent out either the Fieldhouse or the mansion, and we actually ended up doing both. It really opened up a ton of possibilities for our day, and we were able to transition guests smoothly around the grounds, and they were consistently surprised with discovering the new areas. This was actually the only venue we toured! It is so beautiful, it has that old-world charm, but is wonderfully kept up and has all modern amenities. The venue is super affordable, which is a huge plus! Even the drive up to the mansion is breath-taking. You will feel like you have stepped back in time. I cannot speak highly enough of Bruce and Athena. They were so, so accommodating to Jake and I. We truly felt welcomed by them, and knew they were invested in us having a great day. Whenever we came to the mansion we were greeted as old friends. They took my Type-A planning in stride, and help to organize and plan alongside myself and our vendors, which I know helped so much towards the success of the day. Planning and having our wedding at Bryn Du was actually FUN! Schedule a visit! You won't regret it, I promise! (Pro Tip-their list of preferred vendors is awesome, definitely review it!)

Bruce and Athena were both so easy to work with. I had fallen in love with this venue the first day I drove past it. I loved that they had a bridal suite upstairs for me to get ready in. We used the entire first floor of the Mansion and were even able to come in the day before to set up! Many of my nieces and nephews loved running around the grounds during our reception. We loved their suggestion to put up photos of our families on the giant mantelpieces, it felt very homey. Even though they usually have two weddings at the same time (Mansion and Fieldhouse), no one had problems finding our wedding and I never felt like we were ignored or neglected the day of. This is a great historical treasure of the area and I am glad we were able to support it and the wonderful programs they put on by having our wedding at Bryn Du!

My daughter had her wedding and reception at Bryn Du Mansion 09/09/17. It was the most beautiful place to have a wedding. Bruce and Athena were wonderful to work with. They were always available to answer questions and they are so knowledgeable and helpful about weddings. You are able to choose your own vendors but they also have excellent suggestions if you need them. We used the garden for the ceremony, the mansion for the cocktail hour and the field house for the reception. You can tailor your wedding to make it the wedding of your dreams and they were very accommodating and flexible. Many of my friends said it was the most beautiful wedding they had every been too. I would highly recommend having a wedding there. It is a stunning venue.

We fell in love with the Bryn Du Mansion the moment we drove by. Athena and Bruce are amazingly welcoming and easy to work with. The spaces at Bryn Du are unlike any other place we looked. We were married on the front porch, our guests enjoyed cocktails in the mansion, and we held our reception in the back yard. So many guests commented on the beauty of the space. In addition, Athena and Bruce were willing to answer any and all questions throughout the planning process...even impossible questions like "will it rain?" (it didn't!). We can't recommend the Mansion enough. We only wish we could get married there again!

This was the perfect place to hold our wedding and reception. Every part of the process was so easy because of Bruce and Athena. The most perfect place to have a wedding! The thing we loved most was that it was essentially a blank canvas, you got the space and could fill it with any vendor you wanted to make your wedding your own. We had everything there, rehearsal/rehearsal dinner/ceremony/reception/pictures. You get so much time to set up and tear down. Athena and Bruce are amazing to work with and were so helpful throughout everything and very responsive when I had questions. Athena and Bruce were an absolute pleasure to work with; they were both personable, accommodating, and present. They always responded in a timely manner and answered any questions that we had. We had our ceremony in the garden area, cocktail hour in the mansion, and reception in the field house. All three locations were absolutely beautiful due to the wonderful groundskeeping that Bruce and Athena do. We received many compliments on the pure beauty of the mansion where we had our cocktail hour (it was so gorgeous on it's own that it did not really need much decorating).
The Bryn Du Mansion Property is also very reasonably priced for a wedding venue. It is a steal. We loved having our special day at Bryn Du and would highly recommend it to anyone who is considering having an event there.

Great venue! We had our wedding reception at the mansion in the garden and it was perfect! The setting is beautiful and the team at Bryn Du is incredibly helpful throughout the process.

Most magical place to get married! My husband and I recently had our reception here. We fell in love with the grounds as soon as we saw it! Bruce and Athena were wonderful to work with and helped make all of our dreams come true on our big day! Bryn Du is a perfect place to get married located in a great town and a place your guests will talk about for years to come. We had the best experience and couldn't of picked a better venue!!!
We had our wedding in the field house at the mansion and it was wonderful. It's such a beautiful venue! The ceremony was supposed to be held on the terrace, cocktail hour on the balcony, and reception inside the actual field house. It ended up raining on the day of our wedding so we had to move everything inside but it worked out anyway. We were able to use the stairs inside to walk in for the ceremony and it ended up being a nice touch. The outdoor grounds are beautiful and don't need much decorating, inside the Fieldhouse will need quit a bit of decorating though. But if your like me that's perfect because I wanted to put my own touch on everything! We were able to come in on Friday at any time and get things ready so that was nice.
Bruce and Athena are great to work with and such nice people! They are very accommodating, easy to get ahold of, and just genuine people.
I would definitely recommend any area of the mansions grounds and I am so happy we had our wedding there!

absolutely amazing experience. Bruce and Athena always make themselves available to you. the space was clean, magical, historic.... everything we could've asked for.
We used the Fieldhouse patio for our ceremony, the terrace for our cocktail hour, and the fieldhouse for the reception. Everything flowed seamlessly. The grounds are beautiful and Bruce and Athena were beyond friendly and accommodating. We planned from out of state and they were so helpful between calls and emails we got everything done. There was another wedding at the mansion the same day as ours but we did not even notice, they are far enough away from each other. Upstairs in the fieldhouse has a bar and bathrooms and downstairs is huge with bathrooms a small kitchen and plenty of event space. We had about 160 people and plenty of dance floor space but I believe it can fit almost double that. The big thing for us was being able to bring in our own alcohol, we more than made up for the cost of the venue with the amount we saved on alcohol. Overall we had a perfect day!
So far we have only toured this venue, but we had a fantastic experience when we were there. The venue is quiet, clean and beautiful with a TON of different combinations of options for ceremony and reception venues.
I still remember looking up the Bryn Du on the knot and visiting their website thinking, "this is very interesting and may be perfect". I liked the character of the mansion, so we scheduled for an appointment to see it. It was nice that the website is up front with all their fees and amenities.. it's definitely a blank slate, but that's what made it perfect for us.
The Bryn du was our first pick with all the sites unseen, even though it was further away than we would have liked. But when we drove past the gates, up to the parking lot... everything looked beautiful. My family is Chinese, and as a family business we did Chinese antiques and crafts, so the details in the mansion, how well it is kept, the large columns and swings on the front portico; everything was perfect. When we drove home my then fiance asked, "do we even need to see other places?" I replied with full confidence, "no honey, I think we've found it."
Bruce and Athena were both very helpful, and have great advice and suggestions... Sure, throughout the process of planning and trying to coordinate everything from Columbus, it proved to be tricky and patience testing.. but everything worked out beautifully in the end.
I wouldn't do anything different. It was picture perfect; with the big Chinese lanterns, many other Chinese wedding festivities details... loved every bit of it. Thank you Bruce and Athena for such a great, magical place that will forever hold an important place in our hearts.
My husband and I just recently got married at Bryn Du in the Mansion with just shy of 100 guests. We got so many compliments on the venue, which is set in Granville, OH on a beautiful and HUGE lot with tons of mature trees and other historical buildings. The mansion captured that classy yet approachable vibe that we were looking for.
Working with Bruce and Athena (and Quincy!) was wonderful. They are so flexible, unlike many other venues in the area. We got married on a Saturday and we were able to get into the mansion to start setting up on Friday morning, hold our rehearsal there Friday evening, and then we had the mansion all day on Saturday. The flexibility in when we could be in the venue was a major stress relief.
We ended up working with a caterer and rental company that were listed as preferred vendors for Bryn Du (which I highly recommend since they were SO knowledgeable about the venue and working with Bruce that I ended up having very little to figure out!), but they are very flexible to letting you pick your vendors.
As far as price, Bryn Du is very affordable and they offer a lot of great amenities. They provide chairs and tables (though you can work with a 3rd party vendor, like I did, to order additional tables and different chairs), they have a kitchen on site, are handicap accessible, have a HUGE parking lot, and are very easy to get to.
From the beautiful mansion, the expansive land, the great cost, and extreme ease of planning, it was perfect.
My daughters wedding this past weekend was at the Bryn Du Mansion. It was a gorgeous setting. I rented the entire facility and could not be happier. Gave us many options for the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. Athena and Bruce were on hand all weekend and very helpful. If you are looking for a unique special location this is it!! We had our guests stay at Cherry Valley Lodge, which worked out beautifully.

This venue was perfect for our June wedding!!! Bruce and Athena were so great and easy to work with! We were able to choose any cater, dj, ect for this venue which let us personalize everything and work in our budget!! Great opts for pictures!!! Would highly recommend Bryn Du Mansion as we thoroughly enjoyed our Big Day!!!

We had our ceremony and reception at the Bryn Du Mansion in September. We had the ceremony on the front patio and the reception in a tent out back. The Bryn Du is basically a blank slate, you can bring in any vendors and pretty much have free reign over how to use the space. It was a lot of work to plan but I wanted to be able to be creative and make the decisions and it all turned our beautifully. Bruce and Athena are very laid back and we were able to set up on Friday because there was no one using the house that day which helped a lot. We also used the little bridal room upstairs which was a nice place to wait and finish getting ready before the ceremony. I think it is an extra $100 and we paid $1800 for use of the house (with a local Granville discount because my husband's mom lives there). They let you bring in your own alcohol which is a big bonus as well. We had another wedding ceremony outdoor at the Field House location (they have up to two weddings a day) running at the exact same time but you couldn't hear anything from the other event and the staff made sure guests went to the right spot. It was the perfect place for us because we wanted something a bit non traditional and outdoor so if you are willing to put in a little extra work and would like something unique and romantic I would highly recommend the Bryn Du!
Bryn du Mansion was an excellent choice for a vender. My ceremony was downtown Columbus, so it was a drive for my guest. It was a tough choice, but I am so glad I choose this location for my reception! It was so beautiful. Bruce was excellent to work with and my guests were so impressed by the mansion and the grounds.
Upon visiting Bryn Du, we instantly fell in love with the charming atmosphere and the lush outdoor space. We got married on the patio and held our reception inside the field house. Bryn Du is a venue that allowed us to be creative, bring in our own vendors, and also required a true DIY mindset to bring our vision to life. Bruce was amazing - extremely helpful and kind throughout the entire process from our initial booking to clean-up the next day. It was a magical day, set at a magical space.

This place is amazing! My wedding here was everything I wanted & more. This place rents you the facility under a few circumstances, this allows you to bring in your own alcohol & hire your own caterer. This saved us a lot of money in the long run. It is more hands on since you are required to set up & clean up, but it saved us money.
Bruce is very helpful and the mansion was beautiful. Kinda pricy because the price does not include insurance but overall, a great place for a reception.
I really loved having my wedding at the Bryn Du Mansion. Everyone else loved it too! The only thing I'd see differently would be the fact that they didn't set up their own tables.
The venue is beautiful, comfortable, and great for DIY Brides. We were able to come on Friday and set up tables and centerpieces, which made Saturday easier. I was able to enjoy the time with my sisters instead of worrying about the reception. I was also able to come on Sunday to make sure the caterers had done a good job cleaning up. I got many compliments on my choice of venue. Bruce was friendly and very easy to work with.
We had an amazing experience working with Bryn Du. We loved that we were able to bring our own outside vendors and did not have a set list that we had to use. Bruce Cramer, who runs the mansion, is so helpful. We also loved that when you rent the property, you have it Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. It made our Saturday wedding a lot less stressful!
The only negative thing I have to say is that they do double book the property most weekends in the spring/summer. The other wedding on our day was at the mansion, with an outdoor ceremony and reception. Their reception was taking place outside near our ceremony, at the same time as a ceremony. Bruce made sure that they were quiet though, and he even made sure to block off parking spots for our guests so they weren't all taken by the earlier wedding.
Loved Bryn Du!
The Bryn Du Mansion Estate in Granville, Ohio is more then beautiful but, don’t forget to check out their Field House. The Field House has a beautiful stone out door patio and terrace. The weather didn’t allow us to have the ceremony outdoors as we had planned but the Field House had more then enough room for us to move the ceremony indoors with reception seating as our back up plan.
Bruce was more then flexible to work with… he even allowed us to have our rehearsal dinner at the field house the night before the wedding. Please take into consideration that you will need to rent tables, chairs, linens, china, find a caterer, etc when using this location…. But, think of it as a blank canvas that you get to paint. You are not locked into a caterer that you may not like and if you are resourceful you can plan a beautiful wedding within any budget!
The place is absolutely beautiful! Very expensive though, and for what you pay you only get the space...no tables chairs linens or cleanup!!
Like the other review noted you are only renting the building and surronding area, but it so beautiful. I was married last July and the view from the top area looking down on the grounds was so surreal. We had cocktail hour on the terrace. The atmosphere was just perfect. You can truly do alot with this building.
The man in charge was so easy to get ahold of worked with us on everything we needed.
The historoic mansion and surrounding area is simply breathtaking - it was like a trip back in time!;All you are renting is the building and surrounding area. All other services (food tables chairs decorations etc) must be seperately ordered.
