Buchanan House Winery is a one-of-a-kind Eastern Iowa wedding destination featuring our beautifully restored 1883 historic mansion, Colonial Revival gardens, vineyard views and our new Event Barn. The property offers a unique combination of historic charm, natural beauty and comfortable indoor space, creating a memorable setting for your wedding day.
The Buchanan Mansion has a remarkable story of its own. In 2009, the Weaver family saved the historic home from demolition, moving it seven miles to its new home among the rolling hills of what is now Buchanan House Winery. Today, this treasured piece of Iowa history welcomes couples and their families to celebrate life's most meaningful moments.
Our Colonial Revival gardens provide a beautiful setting for wedding ceremonies, photographs and cocktail hours, with the vineyards and countryside creating a picturesque backdrop. When it's time to celebrate, our new Event Barn provides a welcoming indoor reception space where you and your guests can gather, dine, dance and celebrate comfortably throughout the year.

With 17 years of experience coordinating weddings and special events, Mallory Weaver is passionate about helping couples turn their wedding vision into a beautiful and memorable celebration at Buchanan House Winery.
As the General Operations Manager and Lead Event Coordinator, Mallory knows Buchanan House from the inside out—from the historic 1883 mansion and Colonial Revival gardens to the vineyards and our new Event Barn. She works closely with couples throughout the planning process, helping coordinate the details, communicate with vendors and create a wedding day that feels organized, comfortable and uniquely theirs.
Mallory's love for Buchanan House goes beyond weddings. She has a passion for the property's history, antiques, gardens and vineyards, as well as the wine and the many special events that bring guests to the property throughout the year.
For Mallory, one of the most rewarding parts of her role is getting to know each couple and helping make their day special—not only for the bride and groom, but for the family and friends who come together to celebrate with them.
