ith minimal floral/decor because it was just perfect the way it was. Our reception was great! The bar is beautiful and the back patio is great for those guests who don’t like to dance. It was plenty of space for us and the new bridal suite addition made the day very relaxing.

ian helped with set up and acted as our wedding coordinator at times when we needed it. Michaela was great with communication. The reception hall is gorgeous and a perfect blank canvas. The new bridal suite upstairs is perfect. Many places to take photos.

The team at Buckland goes above and beyond to make your day so special and they are so kind— relaxing our nerves before the big day. We got married in October 2022 and lived about an hour away but it was so worth the drive! Thank you all so much!

e only positive thing about it. The owners sold us on being a family business that would not try to nickel and dime us. As we planned our special day, that was not the case at all. There were many empty promises made and multiple accounts of unprofessionalism and lack of communication. Empty promises included telling us at the initial meeting all extra items at the venue would be included, they would have multiple people helping at the reception, they could cut the cake if needed, and many other things. The owners also assured us that there would be yard games for guests, a fire pit going, the junk behind the barn would be removed, and the venue would have new lighting and other new decor. None of this was provided on our wedding day. I inquired about a section of the insurance that was to be purchased on May 20th, 2022 and had to follow up weekly until June 23, 2022 until they answered my question. The owners had no knowledge of what was to be filled out on the insurance but assured us it was very simple. They even told us it would only cost around 125$ but it was 235$ once we filled it all out. The reception chairs were filthy the day we checked out the venue which was 2 days before our rehearsal. Kirk assured us they would have all the chairs wiped off and put at the tables when we came to decorate. When we arrived to decorate, no table clothes were on and the chairs were still filthy and stacked up. Kirk proceeded to tell my husband we don’t unstack chairs, that is your guy's job. Kirk was briefly on site while we decorated, otherwise no one was there for us to ask questions or get things changed. Kirk also told my mom that he would be parking cars during our reception. There was only one person working from the venue the entire night inside the venue and no one to be found parking cars. We were very disappointed with how the owners of the venue sold us on providing exceptional service and this was far from what we experienced. The night before our wedding, I requested to have them cut our cake which we were assured would be okay if we needed it. Kirk emailed me the morning of the wedding letting me know that they don’t provide that service. We even had trouble with them involving our security deposit after the wedding. They did not return the whole thing and Kirk told us he wasn’t sure how many extra table clothes we used so he just made the check out for what he thought was the right thing. While this venue is beautiful, we are not quite sure what the large sum of money we paid even did for us aside from providing a building and 1 worker. If you chose to go with this venue, our best advice would be to get every single aspect of your day in writing from the start and have an event coordinator on the day off to make sure everything goes smoothly as the owners do not go the extra mile for their couples and may not on site for questions or problems.

perty and they allowed us to visit several times beforehand to plan out the big day. They worked hard to ensure the day panned out exactly as we wanted it to. They smoothly made arrangements when rain came through and they actively helped out during the reception. The farm is beautiful and there's nothing else like it in NW Ohio. The barn across the street created beautiful pictures as well. Our guests loved the bar set up and the outdoor areas! Our wedding was in August, so the AC was crucial and it was the perfect temp inside. Plenty of parking. Absolutely no complaints. I would recommend to anyone and be confident that their event would be a blast. Thank you!! -Maddie & Brandon

mooth sailing except with the Bar Manager Sara.. She was very difficult to get ahold of and get information from. I had to ask multiple times for a quote and when I did get it, it was just a price, no itemized summary. I had to hound her inorder to get that. Aside from that everyone else had great communication with us and were all very nice and wanted our day to go as perfect as they could make it! Highly recommend this venue, but know the frustration about getting the bar pricing ahead of time!

Don’t get me wrong, their previous pictures are beautiful, but wait until you see your event in there. When I stepped into the barn and saw my dream come together better than I ever could have imagined, I sighed a breath of relief that we chose Buckland. The owners are an absolute delight and are so patient, pleasant, responsive, and attentive. Their daughter, who I did most of my communication with, is so personable and never failed to respond to every message and kindly answered even my most ridiculous questions, regardless of what time of night it was. Even through a pandemic, they made our dreams a reality. You won’t be disappointed! Our day was a fairytale! BOOK THEM.

tumbled upon this beautiful venue! We were able to have both our ceremony and reception at Buckland! It was perfect. From day one they were all so great to work with. Michaela is very quick to respond to any and all questions that came up and was always willing to reassure any worries I had. She rocks! Kirk and Carol were also fantastic to work with! I loved that they were readily available to help with anything and answer any questions we had. They all contributed to helping our day be perfect and run smoothly. Not only are they all great to work with, but Buckland is absolutely gorgeous! The inside is set up nicely with separate bride and groom rooms to get ready in right on site. There’s also a kitchen and bathrooms. Not to mention a huge cooler to store all the drinks we had! Also, they have so many great places to take pictures on the property! Buckland is definitely the perfect wedding venue and I am so thankful we were able to celebrate our day there!

! The venue was perfect! We were the first couple to get married in their historic barn - ABSOLUTELY STUNNING!! We received so many compliments on how beautiful and unique the venue was; our guests still talk about it months later! If you're looking for the perfect wedding ceremony and reception location look no further!!
