Bucks Run Golf Club

Bucks Run is a beautiful wedding venue! If we had to get married again, we would choose this venue without any hesitation. My husband is an avid golfer and I love the water, and this met both of our wants. The lake in the background of the ceremony is so pretty, and this lake can also be seen in the reception space. And it's a golf course so my husband was happy about that. Ha! When we were initially looking for a venue, we reached out to a few other local golf courses, but Amy was prompt in her response and I could tell from our first few initial emails that Bucks Run was going to be the place for us. The food is AMAZING (I only wish we could take leftovers). The staff was AMAZING and super kind to all of our guests. And Amy was AMAZING. She was always quick to respond, even when I wasn't expecting a quick reply. Her answers were always clear, and she made sure that we had everything we wanted for our big day. I cannot recommend this venue enough. You won't regret it!

Bucks Run could not have been a better venue for our June wedding. Amy Saunders was incredible to work with and she made everything seem effortless. The day was very smooth due to her attentiveness and attention to detail. We communicated through email months prior to the wedding, and she always responded right away and was very helpful and accommodating. We had so many compliments on the food and wait staff as well! I would highly recommend Bucks run as a wedding venue. We had the most beautiful day and so many wonderful memories.

Amy Saunders and the Bucks Run Golf Course team were both professional and a joy to work with for the entirety of the wedding planning process. Amy met with us face to face very early in the planning process, and laid out an accurate estimation for pricing and key components of their services. Amy was easy to contact and stay connected to as the big date got closer for simple questions or much larger ones. The fact that Amy played a large role in day of decorations was wonderful, and she did a fantastic job on bringing the space and our greenery to life while our family enjoyed our wedding service. The food was truthfully better than expected, for we did not sample any of the dishes before putting together plated options (Prime Rib and Chicken). Amy was able to coordinate the plating for our deserts from our family's favorite baker without a hitch. The unlimited bar package allowed our family to get the most bang for our buck, and Amy was able to make some alterations to the domestic draft to cater to the tastes of our family. Overall, from the communication, to the facility, to the decorations, to the food and bar package, my wife and I were extremely impressed with the entire process at Bucks Run Golf Course. We would highly recommend this facility and Amy Saunders to coordinate your upcoming wedding.

Bucks Run Golf Club was a amazing wedding venue. Amy the wedding coordinator was very friendly and helpful! She made wedding planning really easy which made it easier for me to enjoy the special moments during wedding planning. She promptly responds to emails and calls. She sends over correspondences as promised. All the food was amazing, and the professional wait staff was friendly and prompt when guest were ordering drinks at the table.

Bucks Run Golf Club was the venue for my daughter’s wedding. It was absolutely wonderful in every way! Amy the wedding coordinator was very friendly and helpful! She answers all your questions thoroughly and promptly. All the food was tasty, well plated and quickly served by a cheerful and professional wait staff. We also found the prices at Bucks Run to be very competitive. We are extremely glad we chose them!

Amy Saunders was the reason we chose Buck's Run. She was extremely thorough and helpful. In the months leading up to our wedding, she answered all my questions, responded to emails promptly, and was very flexible with my schedule. On our wedding weekend, Amy and the other associates helped us set up, take down, perfect the dessert table, organize guests -- everything! The wait staff was attentive and very kind and they made everything run so smooth. We are SO HAPPY with the service we received with the venue and have zero regrets. Absolutely recommend!

I am so happy that we had our wedding reception at Bucks Run! We love golfing and eating here, and having our wedding here was the best choice we made in planning our wedding! The food is INCREDIBLE and we received so many compliments on it. Additionally, the accommodations ahead of time and the day of were great, and the staff were so professional and did an amazing job! I have to give a special shoutout to Amy who was so amazing and incredible to work with. She was like a built-in wedding planner and went above and beyond for our wedding several times! Amy is *LITERALLY* the BEST. We chose Bucks Run as our venue because it was near home (guests appreciate that), all inclusive (suite to get ready in, wedding and reception site in one with fabulous backgrounds for photos), affordable and beautiful. All of our questions were answered promptly, the staff went above and beyond to accommodate us, the food was excellent and the service was exceptional! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Bucks run was an amazing venue. For as unorganized as I am Amy helped everything come together and look wonderful. Amy also handled any every sticky situation with a calm caring and considerate spirit. The plated dinners were delicious and the efficiency and speed of the staff with food was spot on. My husband and I were married at Bucks Run at the beginning of June 2021, and our day couldn't have been more perfect.  The service and food was excellent. The staff were super friendly and attentive. We received NUMEROUS compliments from our guests about how wonderful everything was! Plus, Amy (the Wedding Coordinator), was a tremendous help through the entire planning process. Whether it was taking responsibilities off our plate, assisting with day-of coordination, or simply responding to our minor questions after hours, she truly gave us peace of mind through the entire planning process. And last but not least, Bucks Run is simply beautiful. Between the large banquet room, the comfortable patio, and the gorgeous lake/golf course views, we couldn't have asked for a better setting. We highly recommend Bucks Run for your special day!

My husband and I renewed our vows this last weekend over our 1st year anniversary--celebrating after eloping at the beginning of the pandemic and we could not have imagined just how much happiness the day would bring us. Amy at Bucks Run was a SAINT during the entire process of planning our vow renewal while out of state, two time zones away. During the day, we, as any wedding/vow renewal does, had a few bumps in the road with being early, guests showing up without notice, or guests not showing up even after saying yes, but Amy handled all of it with poise and reassurance that everything will be handled. We are still in awe of the displays, coordination, and excellence of the staff as well. Friends and family have not stopped talking about the food being the best they have ever had at a wedding! Scott and I can not thank Amy and Bucks Run enough for making our reception even better than had been imagined!

Amy at Buck's Run is the best! She is super friendly and is amazing at communicating regularly throughout the planning process. Our wedding day could not have gone more smoothly. I could not imagine having my wedding anywhere else! You're ceremony and reception are all on one site with a perfect flow from one to the other. You and your guests will never stop talking about the amazing food and the outstanding service provided (no more waiting at the bar, the servers get drinks for you!) But the best part of Bucks Run is Amy, the event coordinator. She takes all of your stress away, from answering questions rapidly, helpful suggestions... I could go on and on about her. She is the reason why my wedding went amazing, it didn't even feel like I was planning a wedding during a pandemic because she had thorough, awesome solutions for anything that came up. Lastly, I have to mention her attention to detail. She makes sure everything is exactly how YOU want it! Highly recommend having your wedding at Bucks Run!!

A BIG Shout out to Amy Saunders, Event Coordinator, for Bucks Run Golf Club in Mt. Pleasant, MI. Amy made my daughter's wedding day so special. Everything was just perfect! So many guest commented on the delicious food. A BIG Shout out to the chef who mad the plated dinners (steak, chicken and pork) so yummy. Amy even helped serve the meals so they would be served hot. Amy worked with the flower vendor, Magical Blooms and I Do's, to have everything set up perfectly for the outside ceremony. She even had the staff help take the outside decorations down so we could return them. She worked with the photographer, Brittany Millan, so she would get some beautiful pictures of the beautiful golf course with a stunning view overlooking Lake Fisher for my daughter to have as wonderful memories of her wedding. The D.J. from Sound Productions Entertainment had everyone up dancing. He even lead the group doing some fun line dances. He was the BEST everyone said.

Such a beautiful place to host your wedding. The staff are amazing, the venue is gorgeous and the views are breath taking. Everyone was so wonderful and working with Amy to plan our wedding was such a breeze!

During these uncertain times, Bucks Run made our wedding so special and we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day! The event coordinator (Amy) was so helpful and easy to work with. The six months leading up to our wedding, she was easy to communicate with and kept us in the loop the entire time. She always responded to calls and emails, even if she was out of the office. If for some reason she wasn’t available, Brien was able to step in and assist. Someone was always available and responding! The entire staff at Bucks Run was so accommodating and made sure the night was one to remember, while still staying safe. We couldn’t have asked for a more amazing, memorable wedding thanks to Bucks Run! We will definitely look into hosting future events at Bucks Run because was how smooth and fantastic everything went!

Bucks Run was a phenomenal venue to work with. Their wedding planner, Amy, was highly communicative and able to answer every question we had. She was amazingly supportive throughout the craziness of planning a wedding during COVID-19 and did everything in her power to meet our requests to make us feel comfortable having our reception there. The day of the wedding the service at the venue was top notch. We had a plated dinner and all of our guests, who were spread out through the reception hall and outdoors, were served their food within 10 minutes. The food was delicious! Missy, one of the managers, took us out on the golf course for pictures on a golf cart after dinner and was very knowledgeable about the best spots for pictures. It is a beautiful venue all around and we would recommend it to anyone!!

Buck's Run was a fantastic place to have my daughter's wedding. Amy and her staff were wonderful to work with. They paid attention to every detail. Each staff member was awesome and I will surely book this venue for my next event!

Our wedding was a fairytale! Amy (the wedding planner) is well worth every dime you pay for the venue alone! She helped us so much through the whole transition especially through COVID-19! We held our wedding outside at the arc and got so many compliments on the scenery! We held our reception inside and got our photos taken on the golf course. The food was TO DIE FOR! On our wedding night, we had an awesome server (10/10 recommend asking for him by name! Mark). Our whole bridal party LOVED him. His personality and professionalism was unbeatable! The whole wait staff was absolutely wonderful! We got many compliments on them as well! (Way to go guys!) All in all, I will recommend this venue every time as well as Amy who was our saving grace during our wedding planning!

Our experience with Bucks Run was absolutely amazing, hands down! For months leading up to our wedding, we heard nothing but great things about this venue & it proved true over & over again. Bucks Run Golf Club was the perfect place since we first came in, beautiful views, amazing staff and incredibly good food! We couldn't ask for more. All the staff was super helpful and attentive every second of our wedding. Our special thanks goes to Amy, who was there helping and making sure our day was perfect from beginning to end. She took care of EVERYTHING, she definitely will take the stress off your shoulders during your big day, we LOVED working with her. If you are looking for a venue that has all of the food, drink, and OUTSTANDING service, do not look any further! Our experience with Bucks Run Golf Course for our big day was more than we could have asked for. From our very first tour there we knew there wasn't any other place we could have our wedding. The event coordinator Amy is absolutely amazing, she made sure our day was more than perfect. Amy pays attention to every little detail and is willing to work with you to make you 100% satisfied. She went above and beyond for us and we couldn't have asked for anyone better to help plan our big day. She even helps with setting up and the crew helps with tear down at the end of the night! The views at this golf course are stunning and make for beautiful wedding pictures. All of our guests were blown away with the beauty of this venue. The food and drinks were amazing too, and there are so many options, including vegan-friendly food options, which is great for a variety of guests. TLDR: Easy planning, incredible staff, competitive pricing, amazing food, overall 5 star experience! I cannot express enough how fantastic Amy and her team are! We chose to be married in our home state of Michigan, even though we lived 1000 miles away. All my planning had to be done via email or phone, and Amy was incredibly responsive every step of the way. She worked around us—planning tastings specifically when we'd be home, coordinating with our moms to tour the facility, and continuing to be flexible with our unique situation. Because we are both nature loving, outdoorsy people, we wanted a venue that had both an outdoor and indoor area so our guest weren't cooped up inside the whole time. Bucks Run sits on top of a hill and overlooks the fairways and a beautiful small lake/pond. It has a large wrap-around porch and my guests loved walking around after dinner to take in the views and get pictures. Seriously, your photographer will thank you for choosing such an incredible backdrop! By far the best part of Bucks Run is the food & drinks. We received copious compliments about the taste and the amount of food with each plated meal (we chose the sirloin and the morel chicken). I would HIGHLY suggest doing plated, because their banquet servers were great at getting everyone served in a timely manner. Drinks were strong and ALL my guests made a point to tell me how incredible the venue was. You cannot go wrong with booking Bucks Run!

Before even getting engaged we both knew we wanted Bucks Run to be our Venue. We’ve attended other weddings here and golf here often. The place is beautiful all around. When we finally booked Bucks we couldn't be more excited. Now that our day is over, those feelings are the same! Everything went amazing and they exceeded my expectations. We used their outdoor ceremony site overlooking Lake Fisher and the patio for cocktail hour. Both were great! Our reception was amazing. Our guests were impressed with the beauty of the hall, the delicious food, and the excellent wait staff. I, myself, couldn’t thank Amy enough for all her work to make our day perfect. She set up the centerpieces for me which was a huge help to the day. Her staff broke them all down at the end of the night and even packed a wedding meal for my husband and I to take home. We enjoyed this together the next day, it meant so much to us. We highly recommend Bucks Run to any future brides looking for a venue. We love our experience and wouldn’t change a thing. I have not been to many weddings and this was my first time being “mother of the bride” so I did not have much experience. Amy, the event planner, was amazing to work with. She walked me through step-by-step of every detail of a perfect reception. She is very experienced and helped me with things that I didn’t even know about! She was very patient in working with my daughter and me with the menu, room set up, and schedule. She reached out ahead of time to all the vendors we selected, the DJ, the wedding cake bakery, the rental center. She did not get the least bit upset when we changed our mind multiple times over things! She went so far above and beyond the call of duty to help us, she made the whole event so stress-free. On the morning of the wedding I arrived to decorate at 7:30, and she was there as promised, to help me put my decorations on the tables. Unfortunately, there was a huge thunderstorm on the day of my daughters wedding and we went back-and-forth all day on whether we would have the event in the tent that I arrange to have set up or we would have it in the banquet room. Because we were optimistic, our family opted for outside. 15 minutes before the wedding ceremony , as we were driving in, Amy made the executive decision to pull the ceremony inside. The skies were black and there was lightning and pouring rain. Amy and the staff were carrying chairs in four at a time as fast as they could and set up a beautiful venue inside. They moved the tables and chairs we had painstakingly set up and created an aisle and an entryway and everything was perfect. About 8 minutes after the ceremony, the whole room was restored to the way it was originally and you would never know that anything unexpected happened. Amy saw to it that every detail was worked out before she left for the evening. She came over to say goodbye to me during dinner and then as I was dancing an hour and a half later I saw her walk out to the parking lot- she probably put in a 12 hour day that day! She turned us over to Tim the assistant event planner and he was very pleasant, thorough and efficient till the very end of the reception. Someone, I’m assuming the kitchen staff, Boxed up the top tier of the wedding cake and also sent home a nice plate of food for the bride and the groom. Everyone was so polite and respectful and eager to help. I am so glad that we chose Bucks Run Golf Club as our venue. It was actually quite affordable and I appreciated having the full bar and restaurant right there in case we needed anything. I had thought about choosing a venue where we would have an offsite caterer but this was just so convenient. Once the storm moved out, the golf course made for a beautiful backdrop for pictures and the sunset outside the patio was spectacular.

We had our April 2019 wedding and reception at Bucks Run Golf Club and we were totally blown away by the level of service and care we received. From our first meeting with Amy, we knew it was the place we wanted to hold our wedding. Despite the fact that they have many events going on throughout the year, Amy made us feel like we were her only priority each time we reached out to her--even for the smallest of questions. She was very prompt at responding to emails, able to accommodate all of our requests, and on top of that, the nicest person to work with. During our tasting event, we met the chef, Ben, and were treated to a smorgasbord of options that all tasted amazing. You can't go wrong with any of the dinner selections and they were more than willing to work with all dietary needs and our budget. The planning process was easy and was less stressful in large part to Amy's organization and how proactive she is. When it came to the wedding day itself, Amy and the rest of the staff at Bucks Run made us feel like royalty and treated our guests like family. We received compliments from our guests on how impressed they were with the venue, food, and staff. They were able to accommodate a last minute ceremony venue change due to weather and had everything set up for our ceremony and reception exactly how we imagined it. The waitstaff and bar staff went out of their way to make sure every guest had everything they needed throughout the night and were aware of the bar hours and when food was being taken down. My husband and I didn't have to worry about anything other than ourselves all night and that was the best gift we received. In terms of value, Bucks Run cannot be beat. We must have researched hundreds of venues across the state trying to find one that did not nickel and dime us for everything or make you take out your own trash at the end of the night. It's shocking how many places are just not up front about what they offer, but Amy was entirely transparent and honest about everything that would be included. She even gave us tips for what to ask about when we looked at other venues (which we didn't end up doing because we knew after meeting her and seeing the space that we would get married there). On top of the care and attention, the venue is absolutely gorgeous! The golf course is meticulously maintained, even in the early part of the season, and the inside is very well cared for and has beautiful spots for indoor pictures if needed. We could not have had a more perfect wedding and it was made so easy and special for us by Amy and the rest of the team at Bucks Run. We highly recommend them to anyone looking for a wedding/reception venue or any other event venue. You will not be disappointed!

I cannot say enough good things about Amy and the rest of the staff at Buck's Run. We had both the ceremony and reception at Bucks Run. They were accommodating (the weather did not cooperate) and so helpful. The venue looked beautiful and elegant, everyone raved about the food and the scenery for the outdoor pictures was the best. Amy is the nicest and most helpful person you will ever meet. I highly recommend using Bucks Run for weddings.

Bucks Run not only was beautiful, the staff was amazing. They took the worry off the families by taking care of all the decorating, setup, clean up, food, alcohol. The food was amazing, and they were always in contact with us from the time we reserved the venue and completely through the event. We could not have had a better venue and services anywhere. We got every pennies worth and more. We received so many complements from the guest on the services provided, the food, and just the entire setup. I could not give Bucks Run enough positive reviews, they receive a 10, even though the scale is 1-5. I would recommend this venue to anyone that is looking to hold a wedding or any other event.

We chose Bucks Run Golf Club as our prime wedding venue, actually we had no other venues in mind but this one luckily had an opening around the time we expected to get married and we took it, fast. We had such an amazing experience from the beginning to the end of our wedding ventures and we couldn't have been happier with our decision. Furthermore, we were paired with their amazing wedding coordinator Amy Saunders. She went the extra mile any chance she could, any time of the day we needed her she answered in less than 20 minutes or less. She was our saving grace when it came to coordinating and assisting with decision making for things we weren't sure about, she is knowledgeable, and approachable and no question is a silly question. Amy coordinated our ceremony and reception so perfectly we wouldn't have had such a great turn out without her. If you don't care for the venue and all it's entirety at least consider it because of what you get from Amy. Words can't express how fortunate we were to get such an amazing place with such a wonderful crew. There are so many wonderful things I could say but it would be a story book long, the only thing I have to say is thank you Bucks Run for providing us with our fairy tale wedding and thank you Amy for doing everything we didn't know we needed.

Not only is this a beautiful spot for wooded areas and waterside areas, but the staff is amazing. Amy Saunders worked with us every step of the way from initial venue touring until the big day. She answered every question quickly and always kept in contact. On the big day her staff was professional and kind, always asking my maid of honor and myself if we needed anything. It's hard to put into words how amazing our w h o l e day was at Buck's Run. To say it was amazing is such an understatement. First, I need to thank Amy Saunders who is Buck's Run Event Coordinator. In other words, she is the backbone of the whole day going perfectly. She was the front-runner with every need I had. She absolutely loves her job and it couldn't be any more obvious from her actions, words and most of all, her kindness. She had the best ideas and brought our wedding day to life. I will never forget her kindness, compassion, and patience. Second, Buck's Run has the best staff through and through. All of our guests complimented how great the staff was on our day. I truly do not have one bad thing to say about our venue. The pickiest eaters from our family and friends said that this was the best food they had ever had a wedding. My husband and I enjoyed not only our wedding food but every dining with food we had leading up to that day as well. Third, the kitchen staff and the head chef do a phenomenal job. My girls and I used the beautiful VIP Room to get ready. Edward, a great team member, and Amy were so helpful with us needy women! Our ceremony was on location on the grass with the beautiful pergola. We truly could go on and on about how great Buck's Run is. If you are considering this venue as your wedding venue, do yourself a favor and just book it! You will not bet let down and will have the BEST DAY EVER!

Bucks Run was incredible for our wedding! The coordinator went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. I received multiple comments from family members about how quick and wait staff was and how friendly they were. Staff helped set up and take down at the end of the night. It was perfect! If I had to do it all again, I would chose bucks run over and over again.

Great service and great food. We had a large wedding, we ran out of beer but they had other options for guests. It was a winter wedding, and everything was beautiful on site. They were very helpful with anything that came up.

Bucks Run was an excellent place for our reception. Alanna is amazing and really helps you out. She is not about to sell you anything unnecessary which is awesome because you can then spend your money on other aspects for your wedding. The staff during the reception was wonderful. We hosted our wedding ceremony and reception at Buck's Run Golf Club. We could not be happier!!! Our wedding got rained out, so our ceremony was moved underneath their covered patio, and it was still perfect! You could still see the lake in the background all while keeping our guests (and us) dry! The reception was perfect...Buck's Run staff was great...even though we had a buffet dinner, the staff still served cocktails to guests, refilled water, cleaned tables, etc. They also helped set up decorations, fold napkins...you name it! But best of all, Buck's Run's event coordinator, Alanna, was AMAZING. And I mean amazing. She was beyond flexible, so kind and understanding, patient, and helpful. She played a vital role in ensuring that we had the most amazing wedding! She worked closely with our wedding planner and a couple local vendors. Alanna genuinely makes a bride's life so easy as far as a wedding and reception venue. They take care of alcohol, food, clean up, everything! I cannot recommend Buck's Run Golf Club (and Alanna) enough!

I loved everything about having my wedding at Buck's Run. My girlfriends and I had the VIP room upstairs all day to hangout and get ready. We were able to order food and drinks from the Quarry Grill right up to the room. There was so much space for doing hair and makeup. It was great. The staff was amazing all day. They had set up all my chairs for the ceremony, decorated them for me, and even decorated the reception hall as well, making it so much less stressful for me. During the reception, I was so impressed by the number of staff as well as the level of professionalism. And as usual, the food at Buck's Run was amazing. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because I really had a hard time communicating with the staff. My initial emails or phone calls went unanswered at times which was very frustrating in times of trying to stay organized. But my questions and concerns were always eventually addressed. Overall, I am very happy with choosing Buck's Run!

The staff at Buck's Run did an incredible job of helping everything run smoothly, both before and during the wedding. They had many options for food/drink that make them in any bride's price range. The food was served in generous portions with a reasonable price and was absolutely delicious. The golf course is beautiful to look over, especially at night. The staff was organized, efficient, and very polite. We had so many compliments on our venue, and the bridal party had a wonderful time as well! I would recommend this venue to anyone considering doing a wedding in Mt. Pleasant.

I had a wonderful experience with Buck's Run and Alanna. She helped me every step of the way to make sure everything was exactly how I wanted it. She was extremely accessible; and if I ever had a question or concern, she was easy to reach by phone. I highly recommend working with Alanna and having a reception at Buck's Run. They helped make our day special and exactly what we wanted.

The food was outstanding, the service was excellent.

I really like Bucks Run. They made my wedding look gorgeous and all of the employees were right on top of things. There were a few hiccups- but what wedding doesn't. I was very pleased with the food and the facilities in general. Great location for a wedding!

Everyone was so helpful and catered to me and my husband completely. If anything went wrong, we didn't know about it.
