Felicia did an amazing job with my hair and makeup! She knew that I would have photos inside city hall and at the beach as well so she made sure to get my makeup and hair just right to look good in both types of lighting and withstand any wind. She is very friendly and energetic. I sent photos of myself without makeup before the big day as well as some makeup and hair inspiration so that she would be well prepared. I would highly recommend anyone eloping at SF City Hall to book her. As a bonus, the studio is about a 10 minute walk from city hall which helped a lot!

TLDR: my dear fellow Asian brides, look no further. Felicia is your person. You won’t regret. The nitty gritty: I’ll start by sharing that I grew up in Korea and have a Korean mother (who still lives in Korea) with certain standards in hair & makeup. Finding a professional who can earn my mom’s approval in Korean-style makeup AND capable of making my mom’s short hair into a chignon was high on my wedding prep priority. I even did a trial run with another Korean makeup artist in East Bay, but ended up going with Felicia as I liked Felicia better in all regards - hair/makeup skills and personality. Makeup: I developed rosacea 6 weeks prior to the wedding with reaction to sun, resulting in red bumpy tender spots on my cheeks and eyelids. I was really stressed about it for the whole month leading up to the wedding, but Felicia perfectly covered it with her makeup magic! No one could tell if there were red bumpy spots. My skin was also extremely sensitive yet Felicia found a way to moisturize without irritating it. Also, somehow she made my skin look dewy and glowy without giving that foundation-caked-on-look. Even my mom was extremely happy with the outcome for me and herself. And my bridesmaids looked beautiful. My mom, bridesmaids, myself all cried during the ceremony, yet none of our eye makeup smudged! My makeup started at 830am, finished around noon, stayed fine until 11:30pm without giving that foundation-gone-grey look. Witch magic. Touchup: she made sure to stay until my photographer took a few pictures of me so that she could be sure the makeup looked good both in person and on photo. I did go with the “adorable” package which included touch up. She gave me a little package with dabbed sponges of foundation and lip colors to fix makeup throughout the day which helped. Hair: I requested a high updo during the trial. On the wedding day, Felicia suggested that a slightly lower updo would work better with my facial structure for a youthful look. And she was right! She suggested it in such a gentle and neutral tone without making me feel judged, I really appreciated it. My first dance choreograph had some head tossing, she made sure that my bun was extra secure (and it did stay put for the whole night). My bridesmaids did “romantic” style hair instead of updo (done by Nikki and Shadow), they looked absolutely stunning. Mom’s hair: Nikki did low bun for my mom’s hair. Her hair wasn’t long enough so I ended up getting fake hair buns that Felicia suggested. Her hair turned out great. Personality: Felicia was very flexible and accommodating throughout the whole process. She patiently answered all my questions for months leading up to the wedding. She was just an absolute pleasure to be around and made me feel at ease. I didn’t realize how important that was until the morning of the wedding day when there was added stress for everything - really appreciated how accommodating and calming Felicia and her team were. I think one of the bridesmaids changed her eye makeup twice and lip color three times; Nikki didn’t even bat an eye and worked with her to find the right amount of eyeshadow and right shade of lip color. Location: her studio is in SF but her team came all the way to Sonoma area for the wedding (with travel fee). They arrived right on time. All in all, I cannot recommend Felicia and her team highly enough.

Felicia and her team did a fantastic job -- so glad we chose them for our City Hall ceremony! She's funny and warm and made the hours in the chair enjoyable. The style was exactly what I was looking for -- Felicia totally captured what I was looking for in my inspiration pictures. The day-of makeup was a perfect recreation of the trial look! Scheduling and planning was smooth. The studio is super conveniently located near City Hall, and being able to change there made the morning even easier.

I had an anniversary photo shoot two days ago with Felicia and she did such an amazing job. She is very talented, sweet , friendly, fun to chat with and her energy made me feel welcomed and comfortable. Felicia was very knowledgeable about skin care and the application process. Sadly, I have a few dark spots but with her application she was able rehydrate my blemishes. She was thorough and also educated me about how to care for my skin. After the experience I could instantly see my skin rehydrated, and feeling like a brand new person Felicia is a very experienced and professional makeup artist. I had a great experience working with her. Look forward to working with her again for my next photo shoot adventure in the future.

I had an amazing experience with Bun Bun Bridal Lab. Vivi, master stylist did my hair and makeip as well as my sister's for my wedding. Felicia is very organized and communicated well with me and Vivi to make sure everything was perfect for the big day. My sister's and my hair and makeup turned out beautiful, exactly how we wanted. I got the classic plan which included touchups. Vivi was EXTREMELY attentive to detail and make sure I looked picture perfect every second. She was very comforting throughout the day. Highly recommend!

I had Felicia for mine and my grandmother in law's makeup, and had Kate for the two mothers' makeup. I was not super impressed with the trial session but I was very happy about the bridal makeup the day of - it might have to do with the sunlight situation during makeup. I am very glad that I did the trial with Felicia for her to get to know me. She took the time and asked the questions to understand my difficult skin and hair conditions, as well as what I wanted (not everyone remembers to ask you what you want). She knows the theory behind every single technique she uses, and she even provided makeup rescue advice when I reached out to her for help after the wedding day. So far she is the only makeup artist who styled my bangs in a way that I liked. We were behind on schedule the day of but Felicia calmly and confidently took the time to ensure she does it well despite there were lots of traffic and photoshoot going on in the room. She also has a lot of skin care and wifey advice to offer. She regards her clients as individual persons, not just another task to complete. It was very pleasant working with Felicia. I would 100% recommend Felicia, especially for those with difficult skin and hair conditions like me. On the other hand, I am not so impressed with the makeup on my mother and mother-in-law - the makeup made them look older than without makeup. It was partially my fault because I did not request to look at the other makeup artist's portfolio. But Felicia's work is fantastic.

My daughter hired Bun Bun for her recent wedding. Now, I may not be impartial, but the bride was beautiful! Felicia did a great job with her hair and makeup. As MOB, I was treated to hair and makeup by the second artist, Nini. I wear no makeup, so while I wanted a special look for the wedding, I still wanted to look natural. Nini was able to strike that balance for me. She also styled my hair nicely without making me feel totally unlike myself. Other family members and friends got similar treatment from from this skilled makeup and hair stylist and they all looked beautiful. Thanks to both of them for making everyone look, and feel, their best at the wedding!

My hairstylist fell through and I found Felicia about a week before my wedding. It was total luck that a highly rated artist was available last minute, and bonus that she is also a kind person with great energy who really made my wedding day feel low-stress! I was planning to do my own makeup but figured why not do a trial—she is fantastic at makeup too and I ended up booking her for me, my mom, my SIL, and a friend for everything. It was so worth it, because knowing I was in good hands on the morning of the wedding made the day so much more relaxed. Felicia and her second artist, Nini, really know how to work with different hair types, from my fine straight hair to my SIL’s 3b curls. We all look glam and beautiful but with a natural texture in person, no cakeyness or creasing. My hair and makeup stayed put all night, even through a song and dance performance and a reception that lasted until 2am. I’m so happy I found this beauty crew and would definitely hire again!

I really found the right makeup artist for my wedding! I really liked Felicia's style, so I contacted Felicia to set up a time as soon as the wedding date was confirmed. The more I looked at her work, the more I liked it, and the more I was sure that Felicia was the one I was looking for. Felicia was not only very professional, but also very attentive. She took the initiative to contact me a few weeks before the wedding, and discussed with me super patiently to confirm the makeup and hair style I wanted, making me feel very secure. On the day of the wedding, I didn't sleep a wink, and because of Felicia's humor and professionalism, I was soon immersed in the Bun bun bridal lab, plus the studio environment was very comfortable and warm, so I became the happiest and most beautiful bride. Also, it was less than two minutes walk from Bun bun bridal lab to SF city hall, which is really great! I didn't have to rush around like most brides do on their wedding day. I stood in front of my other half with perfect makeup and hair on time, holding her hand, and we got married! I really recommend Felicia! The final makeup n hair effect, so we and my sis are stunning, but also very photogenic, how to take pictures how to look good, no need to retouch ::) Thank you Felicia for making my wedding more beautiful and perfect! Felicia is an amazingly talented makeup & hair artist! I booked her for my wedding at Nestldown in September, and I am so glad that she was the one that helped me through the day! It is extremely rare to have heavy rain in September in North Cal, but of course, it did at my wedding lol. Not only did my makeup hold up, but it also looked flawless the entire wedding despite long hours of rain and humidity! The real challenge is the combination of my pin-straight Asian hair, rain, wind, and humidity, but Felicia touched up my hair multiple times so that it looked great for all the important photos! Aside from her makeup & hair artistry, she is also super friendly and easy to talk to, which made the 4-5 hours of getting ready flying by fast! I highly recommended Felicia for any important event that you have. Not only do you have a great artist helping you out for the day, but also a good friend to lean on for those special moments :)

Felicia is an incredibly talented makeup artist who is very experience and caters to each individual. I found her because she did my friend's makeup for her wedding! My skintype changed from when I first had my trial to when my actual wedding day was, and she was able to change the foundation and still keep an amazing shade match for my big day. Felicia and Vivi were an amazing team who made my mom and my bridesmaid (and myself) look so great for my wedding! And she's so much fun to chat with. I had a tiara for my big day, and despite head banging during my wedding, the tiara STAYED ON. Go with Felicia and your makeup and hair will remain flawless through anything!

I am so happy I found Bun Bun Bridal Lab! I had my wedding on 06/18/2022 and Felicia was understandably booked already with it being the busy summer wedding season. Felicia however remained present throughout the entire process with emails. She even checked in on the day of and after via text to make sure everything went well, which I greatly appreciated! I had the pleasure of having three of her master artists/stylists take care of my bridal party and I. Ashley and Feng did the makeup and hair for my three bridesmaids and mom while Christina did my bridal makeup and hair. Everyone was very happy with the results. I am especially thankful for Christina, who was with me starting at 7am and then for most of the day for touch-ups. I am an emotional person by nature and probably teared up about five times just throughout our morning tea ceremony. My makeup remained intact and still looked flawless by the evening. Christina also truly heard what I was envisioning for my hair and makeup. From the eyeshadow to the shade of lipstick, she created a perfect balance between asking what my preferences were and offering her professional opinion of what would look best. I had a couple of last minute hair accessories that I wanted to incorporate in my look that were not discussed during my trial appointment, but Christina flawlessly worked them in, which I so appreciated. One of the hairpieces had been worn by my mom on her wedding day and the other was a floral crown personally made by my aunt, which made it all the more special that I got to wear them. Felicia herself was already booked for my wedding date but I hired 3 of her crew members, and each one was amazing! Everyone was so professional and fun to talk to on the big day. I didn’t have time for a trial run, but everything came out perfectly for my whole bridal party and my mom and mother in law! They have a great ability to do whatever makeup and hairstyle you want, everyone was so versatile! Highly recommend.

Felicia is amazing!! She has such a happy and uplifting energy about her, I don't think I've ever seen her not smiling. As their Hair and Makeup Artist Felicia is usually the first vendor in contact with our couples on the day, and as a planner I find great comfort in knowing they are starting their morning on such a happy note and energy. I hired Bun Bun Bridal Lab for bridal hair and makeup for our wedding reception in May 2022. Felicia was very responsive, communicative, and flexible during the planning process. As I live in Boston and was flying in for the event I didn't do a trial and had Lydia as my artist for the day-of and she did an amazing job in achieving the look and style that I wanted with limited guidance/photo examples. She was also warm, friendly, and really helped set me at ease during the entire process. It happened to be extremely windy the day of our reception, but my hair had no problem staying in tact. Would absolutely recommend Lydia and Felicia!

Felicia is so much fun to work with and did a fantastic job with my bridal hair and makeup. I did a trial with her a year before my date; she totally understood the style I was going for and spent lots of time trying to get the right products and process to work with my skin and hair. On my wedding day, one year later, she remembered all the details from our trial, and the end result was even more gorgeous than before and we were done much faster than in the trial. My hair and makeup stayed in place perfectly, even though it was a very windy day. Felicia also answers her emails very quickly, so it's very easy to work with her. I hired Bun Bun to do hair and makeup for myself (bride) and my bridesmaids. Everyone absolutely loved the final products. We were able to send photos beforehand and the styles we got looked exactly the same as the photos. Our artists were Joyce and Teresa. They were very friendly and knowledgeable. Felicia was very responsive and made the process easy for me. I highly recommend this team if you want high-quality hair and makeup.

Felicia and Teresa were a joy to work with. Felicia took the time to answer all my many questions about the look I wanted prior to the engagement photo shoot and the wedding day itself, was prompt, helpful, and gave me excellent advice as far as preparations. I felt supported and listened to throughout. For the wedding day, Teresa created just the right look that felt very "me," yet was the right amount of both glamorous and natural-looking. Felicia is the BEST! She single-handedly changed my life. I signed up for a makeup lesson with her and it was one of the best investments I could have made for myself. I know a little about makeup but wanted to work with a pro to know what worked best for my face. I worked with a few makeup artists in the past to apply makeup for big events, but I wanted to work with her because her aesthetic was very natural and wanted to learn techniques I could use for the work week. She not only taught me technique (things I didn’t know about priming the face before makeup application, things I could do with brushes and tools I owned, and the proper steps and techniques to apply makeup) but she also went through the existing products and brushes I had and told me what worked and didn’t, and what products she recommended that worked well for my face. (I wish she got commission at Sephora and Nordstrom’s because they will be getting my business very soon!) I also sent her a picture of what I looked like when I tried my best at applying my own makeup and she told me what techniques I could use to make the makeup work better for my face shape. She knows so much about makeup and what works best for one skin type or face shape than another, and I realized that a lot of the makeup techniques for the face, eyes and eyelashes I was using worked well for the western people’s faces I grew up with but not so much for me. 100% recommend. She is a rockstar and compared to the other makeup artists I worked with, she clearly knows this stuff inside and out! I also like how she isn't trying to sell her own makeup products or get commission and recommends the products she's found that works well for herself and her clients.

I found Felicia with Bun Bun Bridal Lab after a long search for a makeup artist for my wedding. We completed two makeup trials and then the main event. Felicia was very responsive via email, flexible with rescheduling out wedding date twice, and did an awesome job on my makeup. My mascara and face makeup did not run despite getting married in 90 degree weather and crying during most of the ceremony. Highly recommend Felicia!

I was supposed to have my prewedding photoshoot & the wedding itself overseas. However, Covid just made me postpone that one until some time next year. I then ended up deciding to go to Napa for the prewedding photoshoot. I actually sent Felicia some of the pictures from the initial makeup artist who would do my face & hair for my overseas wedding. I didn't expect the makeup/hair to be exactly the same way that MUA does, but SHE JUST DELIVEREDDDDD. My husband - so hard to impress him - was even wow-ed :) She made sure that my makeup, hair, and outfit all looked good together. She also made sure I like everything. And MAKEUP WAS SO SMOOOOTHHHH. My face has only minimal blemishes to begin with but her attention to detail to my face and hair really made me smile the whole evening throughout the shoot. Love her and can't recommend her enough. Hence, five stars!!

This is a belated review - my wedding plans changed due to covid and we ended up having a family-only backyard ceremony, but I had a photographer and wanted to still look glammed up. This was September 2020 - super covid times. But Felicia wore a mask the entire time, had everything sanitized, was super clean, and everything felt very covid-cautious-friendly. Felicia is not only talented at what she does, as other reviews have already said. She is also one of the sweetest people you will meet! She genuinely wants to glam you up and is so fun to talk with. I am so glad and thankful that I got to meet her and have her do my hair and makeup. I wanted something more natural and she delivered! Before meeting her for the trial, she was efficient and responsive in our emails. I did not have any trouble booking an appointment with her. I would recommend Felicia to anyone who is looking for a delightful hair/makeup experience for their wedding or event. Her breadth of training, experience, and skill seems like she can beautify anyone. Thank you again!

Felicia is a delightful person and a fabulous makeup artist. I can't recommend her enough. She did my hair and makeup for my wedding this past week, and it was a wonderful experience. She helps you find the right look for you, and she talks you through her decisions for each step of the process. I was *so* happy with how my makeup turned out, especially in photos! In addition, Felicia is just a warm and happy person. Being with her for those few hours before my wedding put me in the best mood I've been in for weeks. I wish I had another wedding so I could book with her again!!

She was really great about tailoring the makeup to my skin and gave me some helpful tips after the trial for skincare leading up to the wedding. She also left a touchup kit after she was done so I could refresh my lip color throughout the day.

I was introduced to Bun Bun Bridal Lab by my friend who had a great experience with them. Felicia did an amazing job. We had to start at 5am because of the early ceremony time. Felicia was there on time and finished my hair and makeup in 2-2.5 hours. She also had time to do my husband's hair and makeup for free. Bun Bun Bridal Lab (Felicia) made me feel so special on my wedding day. When I first walked in and met Felicia, I felt like I had instant connection with her and we chit chatted like old friends. I found Bun Bun Bridal through a referral from a friend, and what a great find! I coordinated everything with Felicia, and she made the entire experience seamless from start to finish (including emailing me last minute reminders for brides to do before their big day). Feng did my hair and makeup and I was so happy by how she exactly captured my vision of what I wanted! I don't usually wear a lot of makeup, and I let her know I wanted it to feel weightless and natural. She did such a great job and I felt not only beautiful on my big day, but also very comfortable. I am writing on behave of my wife. Felicia was really awesome and professional! Our SF city hall wedding could not be successful without her help! She was very responsive from day 1, and really provided a lot of helps. We felt like we can count on her on anything, such as make-up styles, hair styles, and even bridal bouquets or wedding photographer! I am so happy to have found Bun Bun Bridal Lab and Felicia! She, along with her teammate Christina, did the hair and makeup for me, the moms, and my bridesmaids. All of us don't usually wear makeup, so she was very good at creating natural looks that made us feel beautiful but still like ourselves. I ended up deciding on a trial last minute, and Felicia was kind enough to accommodate. I am very glad I signed up for the trial as it helped me fine-tune both my hair and makeup looks for the actual wedding day. I sent Felicia a photo at the end of my trial day, and she helped recommend changes that helped my makeup and hair hold up better during the big day. Felicia and her stylists were AMAZING to work with on my wedding day! All of my bridesmaids, mom and mother-in-law loved their hair and makeup! The morning ran so smoothly. They were even ahead of schedule. I had a total of 9 girls that needed both hair and makeup done. I have ethnically diverse bridal parties. Felicia and her team are masters with diverse styles. They made me feel so beautiful on the biggest day of my life & I had received so many compliments through the entire day/night! Booking is easy. Felicia is very organized and responsive. Working with Bun Bun Bridal Lab on my wedding day was one of the best decisions I made! I reached out very early on for makeup and hair for myself, my mother + mother-in-law and three bridesmaids. Felicia immediately followed up with my wedding day looks. We worked together to create a timeline the accommodated everyone, allowed for enough time and made it so we weren’t up at the crack of dawn. When I was unsure about extensions and an additional artist being necessary, she quickly set up a call to talk me through everything (without upselling or pressuring) and made me feel completely at ease with my decisions. Incredible customer service! Felicia and her master stylist were absolutely terrific. She was incredibly sweet and listened to all of my concerns. She made me super comfortable and it was easy to discuss looks with her, what I liked, adjustments to make, etc. I was VERY self-conscious about my hair and skin which were much more fussy than they had been in my trials. Felicia made me look and – most importantly – feel amazing. In fact, this was my number one stressor leading up to my wedding. I was completely shocked at the transformation and instantly felt so comfortable. Nothing too dramatic, just an improved version – addressing all of my concerns and problem areas we discussed. They finished my whole party on time (I actually think it was early! ) and everyone looked stunning. Bun Bun Bridal were fabulous and I couldn’t recommend them more highly!

Felicia was absolutely amazing! So much attention to detail to make me look perfect on my wedding day. She arrived early and stayed late to touch us up, and took cute photos of us too! My makeup lasted the entire night and I received numerous compliments! She know makeup and hair in and out so I would definitely recommend!

Feng was my makeup artist and also did my hair. She is outstanding. Very open to discuss and give suggestions. The results were better than anything I could have imagined. I looked very natural (not too heavy or cakey on the makeup). The coverage was perfect. I didn't even need to touch it up. I would highly recommend her!

My name is Becca Novak, Felicia did my bridal makeup and bridal hair and it was absolutely incredible. She did did such an amazing job I looked like a new woman, like an angel! She made my skin look so smooth and perfect and my eyes were huge! My makeup also lasted the entire day and was perfect for the event. My hair was also done flawlessly! She was so professional and kind the entire time. She was super fun and easy to talk to and I would recommend her for any special event!

I was recommended Bun Bun bridal by local friends and actually other vendors when I was searching for a vendor that could do our hair and makeup at a specific location instead of in a studio. I am so glad we went with them since they had an excellent response time and it was very easy to coordinate with them via email or text. Felicia responded to my email inquiries within a day and we scheduled a trial session during the weekday since they’re usually booked on weekends for actual events. She was very professional and personable in doing my trial makeup and hair and working with what I had in mind. It helps to bring a picture or build a Pinterest board of what you want so she can help decide what is possible with your type of hair and face. I’ve honestly never looked better after she was done with my trial which took about 3 hours. On the actual day of the event, Felicia and Christina showed up early to setup, I was so glad that we could start a bit earlier and they did an excellent job for all the ladies. I’ve never seen everyone look so good yet natural looking! They managed to finish everyone on time too according to the timeline they provided. My wedding was on a boat too and we had a lot of wind to deal with, but everything held in place and the photos looked amazing. My hair and makeup held up for the whole event in sun, wind, and sea spray so I was extremely pleased. Thank you again Bun Bun Bridal for being with us on our special day, it was a pleasure working with Felicia and Christina and would recommend you to any future brides!

Felicia and her team were simply amazing! She made the extra mile to communicate and guide me through the whole procedure from day 1 despite having to deal with different time zones. I had my makeup and hair done by Lydia, one of the master stylists. Lydia was detailed and took time to make sure everything was done by properly, not just by naked eye but also via actual photos in different light settings. After service care includes having a video on how to remove the heavy makeup and Felicia checking in to make sure everything went smoothly. I will highly recommend Felicia and her team!

We are very thankful to have Felicia to be my wedding makeup artist! She did an awesome job to make me to be a beautiful bridal on my wedding day! We did the trial before the wedding because I did a lot of web research for a good makeup artist. Basic on the research, her package is a little bit higher than the other Asian markup artist. But the overcome was great and we felt we picked the right person and our spending is very worth for her service! She was very friendly and professionally giving great consultations to my skin care, foundation, eyelash,and even lipstick colors. She was very considerate about how to match my hair accessories and wedding dresses colors with my makeups. She also were very patient and respectful listening to our opinions. I wanted to have a natural style makeup with braid hair styles. Felicia followed my wills and made my makeup exactly what I wanted. Also, she provided a small traveling makeup package for emergency use. She was an amazing makeup artist.

Amazing team! Outstanding service from the very initial communication. Complete follow up on every appointment and on all the details of my wedding. I had myself as the bride and my two moms and all three of us had an excellent and outstanding experience. I am still getting compliments on how beautiful my hair and make up looks. I enjoyed the trial experience as well and it was well worth the money that I spent. Felicia and her staff went out of their way to make my special wedding amazing. Felicia did an amazing job for my civil ceremony makeup and hair. She's super sweet and friendly, and understands your preference and expectations immediately and correctly. I scheduled a trial session (3 hours) with her a week before my big day, and was more than satisfied the moment I saw my makeup and hair braiding - and she did an EVEN BETTER JOB for my ceremony. She was very specific about what I needed to be careful with before my big day (suggested me to dye my hair into a lighter color, explained some potential problems of my eye lashes extension, sent me a super long and detailed text message the night before, etc.) and was very patient about my questions and all sorts of requests. We are totally amazed by her great work and nice attitude, and would strong recommend her especially to all the Asian couples - Felicia should definitely be your go-to makeup artist and hair stylist!!! She really helps you make your dream come true.
