t your personalities clicked. When we met Melissa at a wedding expo, we knew right away that we wanted to work with her, and her boss, Kathy (owner of Bunnell Photography). They are fun, laid back, and easy to work with. Kathy offered so many great perks to her packages that we could not pass up. In addition to providing us with a USB drive of all of our photos, she also printed off each one as a 4X6 and put it into an album for us. It is has been so EASY for us to look through our pictures and to show them with family and friends. Kathy made sure to get a list of all the crazy combinations of family photos ahead of time and captured all of those perfectly! Her experience shined through on the day of the wedding. She had some really great ideas for photos and captured our day in such a special way. We will always be grateful to Kathy and Melissa for their hard work in providing us with photos we will cherish forever. One critique we have is that she is slow to respond, so please be prepared for that. During her busy season, it took her a couple of weeks to respond to us about scheduling our engagement photos. She did apologize and said that she had a new work schedule she was adjusting to, in addition to being busy with her photography business. We appreciated the response and still enjoyed working with them.

husband and I have 22yrs of combined experience working in the wedding world. 22yrs of seeing thousands of weddings and hundreds of vendors. That being said, we knew from the start we wanted Kathy Bunnell to be our wedding photographer. Her work is beyond impeccable. Calling her work "pictures" just doesn't seem right to me. They are portraits. The most important memories captured in a snap of perfection. I've seen so much of Kathy's work over the years, and I had no idea how absolutely incredible EVERY picture is. Keep in mind when looking for a photographer, you don't get to see the full extent of their work. Sometimes one or two featured photos and if you go to the vendor's website, you could see a few albums. Truly, ALL of my pictures are beautiful. Kathy does angles better than anyone else I've seen. While we were taking pictures, it didn't feel like we were even being photographed. Nothing felt staged or awkward. I never felt like it was "picture time". Each session just happened naturally with the greatest of ease. She knows exactly where you should stand, how you should stand, which way your body should face, the best light, have perfect hand placement to make your body look like perfection, the right arm placement, and so much more. All of those things need to happen in order to get the results she gives you. With that being said, I didn't feel like there was any kind of checklist that needed to happen. At all. She would say, "put your hand on her hip" and that's it! Then seeing the pictures from that moment, disbelief overwhelmed me. My husband and I aren't photogenic, and I'm still in awe of the portraits we now have. Looking at these photos literally makes me cry with happiness. My heart melts and I feel like I can relive and cherish each moment of that day. I'm also going to mention that I have OCD. My poor husband lol. One of the pew swags at our ceremony was lower than the rest. Someone had moved the chair at the end of aisle. Don't get me wrong, I had no idea and wouldn't have cared anyway if I saw it. That ceremony was magical for me, time froze. I didn't notice until cellphone pictures began to emerge on facebook. Now being out of that moment and seeing the swag lower in pictures, is driving me crazy. When I got Kathy's pictures, she took a picture from the bottom corner of the ceremony aisle. Again, she does angles better than anyone else. You can't even see it. Which to me, who has OCD, is a miracle. The whole room where the ceremony was in the picture looks like perfection. That's ocd though. No one else would care, but I do. Which is why I commend Kathy so much for this. Kathy has a beautiful soul. Her kindness, happiness, and high energy radiates onto everyone around her. It's very uplifting to be in her presence. She has so much pride in her work. She loves what she does and that completely translates into her work. There are not enough thank yous in the world for what I feel I owe her. If you need to cut any corners, do not let it be your photographer. Besides a toasting glass, all of your memories from that day will be in photos. With that being said, your photographer should be Kathy Bunnell.

kly and one of few things that you get to keep for the rest of your life from that day is your wedding photos, in which, hiring Bunnell Photography was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. Kathy and her assistant were super professional and did not miss a beat, literally! They were with us for 10 hours on our wedding day and were able to capture almost 600 beautiful photos. In addition, Kathy doesn't simply give you website to visit to view your wedding photos, she instead invites you back to your home once she is done with them and provides you with a personal flash drive and an album that she has put together from the beginning of your special day to the very end. I remember sitting on her couch looking through TWO albums and trying to rush thinking, 'she doesn't have time for this, I'll look at them when we get into the car.' Well Kathy recognized that I was rushing and told me to slow down because watching the newlyweds look at their photos for the first times was one of her favorite parts of her job. Needless to say, Kathy is wonderful in so many ways and you would be crazy not to hire her for your wedding day.

She was able to use the engagement pictures to create a one of a kind guest book for a wedding. It turned out beautiful and it is something that we will treasure. time crunch. I happened upon Bunnell Photography while frantically googling wedding photographers and was impressed by the photos she had on her website. I contacted her and was not only surprised that she had our weekend open but also at her reasonable prices. She invited us over to meet her and to look at some of her photographs in person. She was thoughtful enough to show us samples of photographs that she had taken in the venue we had chosen (Mt. Holyoke College) as well as another lesbian wedding. It made us both feel so comfortable. She took the time to discuss family dynamics, who would be most comfortable around who and really got to know us as people. Then came the day of our wedding. Kathy walked right into the incredibly chaotic time of me getting dressed and calmed everything down. She is an absolute pro. She even bustled my gown, all the while snapping shots of me and my bridesmaids getting ready. I had no concerns about how these photos were going to turn out! And they came out absolutely beautifully. We couldn't have had a better experience and I feel so lucky that I chanced upon her! I found out later that she had photographed the wedding of our wedding coordinator, too. Our coordinator couldn't say enough wonderful things about her, either. She made me feel like a beautiful bride and took most of the stress of the day away. I could go on and on....
