Kathy was so pleasant to work with - our guests complimented us after the wedding telling us how much they liked her! Kathy made sure to schedule zoom meetings with us (we live out of town) and actually cared about getting to know us as a couple and what we wanted from these photos. Kathy is also experienced with all sorts of wedding things - like how to cut the cake and how to put on a boutonniere - this helped with the overall day so much! I cannot recommend her enough! The pictures have come out great too! She has a great eye and is ready for anything.

At the beginning of our wedding planning, someone told us to make sure that we had a good connection with our photographer, that it wasn't just about the great photos, but also that your personalities clicked. When we met Melissa at a wedding expo, we knew right away that we wanted to work with her, and her boss, Kathy (owner of Bunnell Photography). They are fun, laid back, and easy to work with. Kathy offered so many great perks to her packages that we could not pass up. In addition to providing us with a USB drive of all of our photos, she also printed off each one as a 4X6 and put it into an album for us. It is has been so EASY for us to look through our pictures and to show them with family and friends. Kathy made sure to get a list of all the crazy combinations of family photos ahead of time and captured all of those perfectly! Her experience shined through on the day of the wedding. She had some really great ideas for photos and captured our day in such a special way. We will always be grateful to Kathy and Melissa for their hard work in providing us with photos we will cherish forever. One critique we have is that she is slow to respond, so please be prepared for that. During her busy season, it took her a couple of weeks to respond to us about scheduling our engagement photos. She did apologize and said that she had a new work schedule she was adjusting to, in addition to being busy with her photography business. We appreciated the response and still enjoyed working with them.

Kathy was phenomenal. I ended up running a little late day of, but she was there and ready to go when I got there and was able to do a bunch of venue pictures while I finished getting ready. When it came to formal photos she had a great eye for where to go to get the best backdrop and was wildly efficient getting almost all of them done before the ceremony. She was non-obtrusive through the whole wedding, but got all the shots we wanted!

Kathy’s work is extremely beautiful. Everything was so perfect from the time she arrived until the time she left. Her photos were unbelievable. Everyone said they have never seen more beautiful wedding pictures before and I have not either. The images she captured were all at the perfect angle and the perfect time. Thank you!

My husband and I were so pleased in our decision to work with Kathy at Bunnell Photography for our wedding this past October. From the first meeting with her, I knew that her fun and laid back personality would be the choice for my wedding photographer. She was very easy to work with and has a great eye for photos. Kathy photographed our wedding at the Salem Cross Inn over Labor Day weekend, we were so happy we chose her! Kathy was our photographer for our wedding at the Eric Carle Museum in Amherst and was wonderful! We wanted a photographer who could take gorgeous candids and a quick set of posed photos since we wanted to minimize photograph-taking time, and she honored our wishes and took beautiful inside and outside shots, capturing the beautiful natural background and the fast-paced dancing. She was also incredibly fast in getting back to us with our photos, as we were moving shortly after the wedding. Couldn't be happier!

Kathy and Paul at Bunnell Photography were a DREAM to work with. I'm not sure how the day would have gone without Kathy. She acted like a second wedding planner and really helped run the show. She made sure to capture all the pictures we wanted and so many more!!! When things got chaotic, Kathy remained calm and kept everything in order. When the weather forecast was looking like a monsoon, she kept my mind at ease and easily offered other options for our photos. We ended up getting just fog and no rain, but Kathy still encouraged creative pictures with umbrellas, which are hands down my favorite from the entire day. Paul was also an amazing addition to our day! His energy really matched our family's fun "vibe" and his photos were so unique! Kathy and Melissa did a excellent job with our wedding and engagement pictures! The pictures came out perfect and we are so glad that we choose her. She even went out of the way to help bustle and do up the wedding dress. My husband and I hired Kathy to take the pictures for our wedding. The day of the wedding she showed up with Melissa to help her, which was part of our contract. I could not say enough good things about Kathy and Melissa. They were both professional and gave us exactly what we wanted. They even put up a preview of some pictures on Facebook before we left for our honeymoon, two days after the wedding! After seeing those we were excited to see what all of the other pictures would look like. When we got all of the proofs, they came out even better than we expected. We are really excited to show off our pictures and we are so happy that we invested in them. Kathy was the best! From planning out our pictures, to having her there the day of she was awesome! She was also a great help with getting my dress on and correctly laced up! Kathy was a fantastic photographer to work with for our wedding. We have only seen some initial shots, but we could not be more thrilled with how they have come out and with our experience overall. I'll start by saying my husband and I work at the Log Cabin in Holyoke, MA. If you aren't from the area, the Log Cabin is the place to be in western Massachusetts for a wedding. My husband and I have 22yrs of combined experience working in the wedding world. 22yrs of seeing thousands of weddings and hundreds of vendors. That being said, we knew from the start we wanted Kathy Bunnell to be our wedding photographer. Her work is beyond impeccable. Calling her work "pictures" just doesn't seem right to me. They are portraits. The most important memories captured in a snap of perfection. I've seen so much of Kathy's work over the years, and I had no idea how absolutely incredible EVERY picture is. Keep in mind when looking for a photographer, you don't get to see the full extent of their work. Sometimes one or two featured photos and if you go to the vendor's website, you could see a few albums. Truly, ALL of my pictures are beautiful. Kathy does angles better than anyone else I've seen. While we were taking pictures, it didn't feel like we were even being photographed. Nothing felt staged or awkward. I never felt like it was "picture time". Each session just happened naturally with the greatest of ease. She knows exactly where you should stand, how you should stand, which way your body should face, the best light, have perfect hand placement to make your body look like perfection, the right arm placement, and so much more. All of those things need to happen in order to get the results she gives you. With that being said, I didn't feel like there was any kind of checklist that needed to happen. At all. She would say, "put your hand on her hip" and that's it! Then seeing the pictures from that moment, disbelief overwhelmed me. My husband and I aren't photogenic, and I'm still in awe of the portraits we now have. Looking at these photos literally makes me cry with happiness. My heart melts and I feel like I can relive and cherish each moment of that day. I'm also going to mention that I have OCD. My poor husband lol. One of the pew swags at our ceremony was lower than the rest. Someone had moved the chair at the end of aisle. Don't get me wrong, I had no idea and wouldn't have cared anyway if I saw it. That ceremony was magical for me, time froze. I didn't notice until cellphone pictures began to emerge on facebook. Now being out of that moment and seeing the swag lower in pictures, is driving me crazy. When I got Kathy's pictures, she took a picture from the bottom corner of the ceremony aisle. Again, she does angles better than anyone else. You can't even see it. Which to me, who has OCD, is a miracle. The whole room where the ceremony was in the picture looks like perfection. That's ocd though. No one else would care, but I do. Which is why I commend Kathy so much for this. Kathy has a beautiful soul. Her kindness, happiness, and high energy radiates onto everyone around her. It's very uplifting to be in her presence. She has so much pride in her work. She loves what she does and that completely translates into her work. There are not enough thank yous in the world for what I feel I owe her. If you need to cut any corners, do not let it be your photographer. Besides a toasting glass, all of your memories from that day will be in photos. With that being said, your photographer should be Kathy Bunnell.

When it comes to your wedding day, one thing you cannot screw up is who you hire for your photographer. As I tell my friends who are getting married, the day comes and goes so quickly and one of few things that you get to keep for the rest of your life from that day is your wedding photos, in which, hiring Bunnell Photography was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. Kathy and her assistant were super professional and did not miss a beat, literally! They were with us for 10 hours on our wedding day and were able to capture almost 600 beautiful photos. In addition, Kathy doesn't simply give you website to visit to view your wedding photos, she instead invites you back to your home once she is done with them and provides you with a personal flash drive and an album that she has put together from the beginning of your special day to the very end. I remember sitting on her couch looking through TWO albums and trying to rush thinking, 'she doesn't have time for this, I'll look at them when we get into the car.' Well Kathy recognized that I was rushing and told me to slow down because watching the newlyweds look at their photos for the first times was one of her favorite parts of her job. Needless to say, Kathy is wonderful in so many ways and you would be crazy not to hire her for your wedding day.

Kathy absolutely exceeded our expectations! We can't thank her enough for all the help & support we received from her throughout our wedding day. She navigated some minor issues we were having with other vendors, mainly our florist, without flinching and kept the mood happy and relaxed. We definitely credit Kathy with how smoothly our entire day went. It was like having a wedding coordinator/photographer rolled into one! We haven't seen all our photos yet but the sneak peeks we got were beautiful. She even managed to wrangle our strong willed flower girl for some beautiful pics. I am so happy that we chose Kathy Bunnell as our wedding photographer. My goal for my wedding day was to have every little thing planned before the big day so that I wouldn't be bothered to make decisions while trying to enjoy myself. I was married in August 2014 and just received my photos from the wedding. I am blown away!! Kathy and Christine captured moments I didn't even know EXISTED because of the craziness of the day! They not only took fabulous photos, but they were able to capture the character of the day. Anyone who looks at our album will feel how much love and fun we experienced. I am already excited to show my future, non-existent children these photos when they are grown. That is how much my husband and I love them! They were also SO helpful with other details. Just a few examples: Kathy helped my bridesmaids with my very confusing bustle. She also hurried my venue and DJ along when things weren't getting done efficiently. That is amazing when you're a tired and overwhelmed bride!! Christine literally gave me the shoes off of her feet to wear during photos when my arthritic feet couldn't handle the sparkly heels anymore. They both had so many ideas for poses and creative shots, and listened well to fun ideas that my husband and I had. We also had an engagement shoot included in our package, and equally love those photos. So many cute candid shots. You also have the rights to all of the photos and get a USB with everything to upload and print yourself. How fabulous and rare is that? If you live in MA/CT area, check them out!! I chose bunnell photography because it was a preferred vendor from my reception site. It was a perfect fit! When I forts met Kathy, she immediately made me feel comfortable and had lots of great ideas for my wedding. We really got to know her style when she did our engagement pictures. We felt comfortable and relaxed the whole time. She was able to use the engagement pictures to create a one of a kind guest book for a wedding. It turned out beautiful and it is something that we will treasure. We really enjoyed having her as our wedding photographer. Kathy and her assistant really made the day fun and special. She had unique ideas on poses and places to take the perfect shot. She is also great with kids. Our ring bearer was a little shy and she even got him to take a few pictures. We shopped around for a photographer that we liked, would give us the rights to our images, and was in our price range. As soon as we met Kathy, we both really liked her. She was friendly, yet professional. The day of the wedding, her and another photographer that worked for her (who we opted to go with and were very glad we did) showed up at the hotel for some "getting ready shots". They were both very professional and super helpful - Kathy actually helped with the lacing on my dress and bustle after the ceremony. The photos are beautiful. They did a really great job at photographing every guest (some group shots, some couple shots - but everyone got into our album). if you are looking for a photographer who can capture all of the events of your wedding perfectly, you need to have Bunnell. all the pictures came out awesome and truly captured the event of the wedding. She did pre ceremony pictures, ceremony pictures and reception pictures which really came out great. These are great to have to remember how special our wedding day was. She showed up early and stayed late to make sure to capture everything. It was a great experience and highly recommend her to anyone who is looking to have the best wedding pictures. She also did our engagement photos which came out great as well.

i only wish I knew this lady before our wedding. She did anniversary pictures for us with our dogs. She truly has talent and and an amazing eye and very good customer service with dealing with people I would with out a doubt refer to other people and will use her for a renewing of ours vows!!!! My partner and I got married last fall in western Massachusetts. We were in the process of moving here as well as planning a wedding, so we didn't know the area well and were in a time crunch. I happened upon Bunnell Photography while frantically googling wedding photographers and was impressed by the photos she had on her website. I contacted her and was not only surprised that she had our weekend open but also at her reasonable prices. She invited us over to meet her and to look at some of her photographs in person. She was thoughtful enough to show us samples of photographs that she had taken in the venue we had chosen (Mt. Holyoke College) as well as another lesbian wedding. It made us both feel so comfortable. She took the time to discuss family dynamics, who would be most comfortable around who and really got to know us as people. Then came the day of our wedding. Kathy walked right into the incredibly chaotic time of me getting dressed and calmed everything down. She is an absolute pro. She even bustled my gown, all the while snapping shots of me and my bridesmaids getting ready. I had no concerns about how these photos were going to turn out! And they came out absolutely beautifully. We couldn't have had a better experience and I feel so lucky that I chanced upon her! I found out later that she had photographed the wedding of our wedding coordinator, too. Our coordinator couldn't say enough wonderful things about her, either. She made me feel like a beautiful bride and took most of the stress of the day away. I could go on and on....

Kathy Bunnell is an absolutely incredible photographer who played about ten different roles in helping to plan, execute, and capture forever the most joyous day of my life. Kathy truly added so much more to my wedding than simply the most beautiful pictures I've ever seen. Beyond her official and compensated role of photographer, Kathy also served as a sure-handed wardrobe assistant and even quick-thinking ring-rescuer on the big day, not to mention all the helpful tips she gave us on everything wedding-related leading up to the big day. And she did it all with such sincere joy and generous spirit. Picking the right guy was the most important factor in making my wedding a dream come true but, in all honesty, choosing Kathy as our photographer was not far behind. :) I was not your typical bride and Kathy is so much more than your typical photographer. My first conversation with Kathy took place over the phone when I contacted her and bluntly said, “I’m 31, chubby, and have never taken a good picture in my life, and I’m looking for a photographer who understands light and angles.” Kathy responded with such genuine understanding, complete honestly, and reassuring humor that I instantly knew I was in good hands. And she infused every experience we shared with that same kindness and poise, serving as the most amazing antidote to my high-anxiety personality. Kathy kept us laughing throughout our entire experience, from the meetings beforehand to the actual big day, and she conveyed such happiness and appreciation that we had trusted her with this momentous milestone in our lives. And our trust was so well-placed. The day of the wedding, Kathy got there early and stayed late. She happily and masterfully helped cinch me into my wedding gown. She worked around a complicated schedule, and got every picture we had wanted plus so many more. She professionally and respectfully juggled complicated family relationships and dynamics. She even told us jokes to help keep our smiles natural and our poses relaxed. And Kathy walked us through every step of the process so that we had no worries and instead just felt profoundly present in the moment – truly, fully, and joyously focused on each other. She was simply phenomenal. And then there were the pictures themselves. I am absolutely blown away by our wedding album. Kathy took the most beautiful, the most precious pictures imaginable. I never in a million years could have imagined that I would feel such joy in looking at pictures of myself. She is a truly gifted artist and an absolute magician. In the ten years my husband and I were together before our marriage we accumulated fewer than five pictures of us because I hate the way I photograph. Well, I should say that I used to hate the way I photographed - before I met Kathy. Now, I can’t get enough of our wedding pictures and the amazing memories they evoke each and every time I look at them. I, a girl who spent her entire chipmunk-cheek-afflicted life hiding from cameras and pictures, am actually looking forward to my next major event that can be photographed; and Kathy Bunnell gave me that confidence. Kathy treated us with unparalleled attention, respect, joy, professionalism, and generosity. I cannot recommend her highly enough. I feel so very blessed to have had her play a part – and such a huge part at that – in one of the most important days of my life. Choosing her was one of the best decisions I ever made!

Kathy Bunnell was such a pleasure to work with and the photos are simply beautiful! She is very down to earth and easy to talk to; from our first meeting, I knew she would be the right photographer for us. She was very understanding of our post-wedding time constraints and was able to give us our pictures just about a month later, for which we are very grateful; I am so glad we found Bunnell Photography!

Kathy and her assistant, Melissa, did an outstanding job of photographing our day. We couldn’t be more pleased with our pictures. Our friends and family continue to rave not only about the quality of the work but also about Kathy’s personable nature on the day of our wedding. Kathy was very flexible and helpful during the planning stages of our wedding. She suggested that we consider doing a “first look,” and we are so happy that we did. Those are some of our favorite pictures of the day. Kathy did a great job of making us feel comfortable while capturing all the special moments of our day, even the ones we didn’t see. She was prepared for our day, and that allowed us to just relax and enjoy ourselves. In addition to taking amazing pictures, Kathy was almost like a personal assistant that day, even helping our flower girl with her dress. She made sure nothing got in the way of our day being special. Photographs are often the only memories you have of your wedding day, so having a talented and professional photographer like Kathy is very important. I would recommend Kathy to anyone. She is worth every penny!

Kathy does a fabulous job with her photography. She is on the pricy side, but her quality of work is worth it. I purchased the package with the flush mount albums, canvas and print orders. This also came with 4x6 prints, about 450. The day after our wedding, Kathy posted sneak peaks of our wedding, which was a perfect summary of our day. About 2 months after the wedding, we received the 4x6 prints in an album and then a memory stick with all of the photos on it. I then got my instructions to design my flush mount album (this was my choice). I designed the album within 2 weeks and then notified Kathy. Once I gave her the word I waited on her approval of my design. And I waited some more. My patience was tested. I have lost count as to how many times I have contacted her with phone calls and emails. I truly felt ignored during this time. Finally after 2 months, she said that it looked great and only had to edit one photo that I chose. So essentially it took 2 months to edit one photo. Great. Now comes the fun part. It has now been 5 months after my wedding and it still took over another month to send the album proof out. Granted my in-laws delayed their payment by 2 weeks, but still, what was she waiting for after receiving it? I was told that the album, canvas and prints would be in December. I call mid- December to check the status and she then tells me that it would be January at the latest. I asked her to please call me when they come in. I call February 1st and she says that she has them. It took all of me to not be rude and ask her why did she not call to notify me. Later that week we meet for me to pick up my items. Everything came out beautiful. However one photo that I requested as an 11x14 apparently would not come out correctly unless she cropped out part of my wedding gown. Instead of calling me to discuss this or choose another photo, she upgraded it to an 12x18. The photo is basically a small poster and I have no use for it. I would have loved to of chosen another picture if she had only asked. I'm sure the larger photo cost her money as well. If you want Kathy as your photographer I hope that you have patience and don't want to enjoy your photos too soon. It took 9 months to complete my order. I could have conceived a child by now and have my bags packed for the delivery. The flush mount album is not what it's cracked up to be- or maybe it is. I am honestly too sour from the whole experience to even want to look at it. Just hire her for your day of photographer, get your 4x6 album and call it a day.

Kathy is an amazing photographer...our pictures are to die for. She is everything we wanted and more! We loved her creativity and also the mix of traditional photos. She clearly knows what she is doing, very professional, kind, fun and would recommend her to any bride looking for stunning photos with a romantic modern flair!

Kathy Bunnell photographed my cousins wedding in 2012 and i liked her style and easy going nature so much that i booked her for my wedding in 2013! She is really easy to work with - no need to come up with a list of a million photos you want - she knows what she's doing. And on your wedding day the minute she gets there she is snapping photos right away. After the ceremony she was ready to go with all the set family shots - there was no wasted time - we even got to join the end of our cocktail hour! She goes above and beyond the basic photos and uses different lenses and gets some great candids. After our cake cutting she brought us outside and had these great light up umbrellas where she got some really cool shots of us in the dark holding the umbrellas. One last thing is that all the pictures she takes are yours - she puts together a great photo album for you to keep and gives you a flash drive of the pictures too. There are different packages and she is not pushy about going for a larger package. Would definitely recommend Kathy!

I would just like to say that Kathy and Melissa photographed my wedding and they were such great ladies to work with. They disappeared into the background and we didnt even realize they were there to take pictures until it came time to do the formals. I love the creativeness that these ladies bring to the table. Our pictures came out wonderful. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone that asks.

Kathy recently photographed our wedding on September 14th and I cannot be more pleased with the service and the photographs that I have seen so far. She was extremely nice and comfortable to work with. Kathy took into consideration all the poses/pictures we asked for in the preliminary meeting and made sure we got everything we had asked for. The pictures we have received so far are absolutely perfect and flawless. I have gotten so many compliments and I cannot wait to display them in our home. I would highly recommend her!!!!!
