We had our ceremony at the Burchfield Penney and everything was perfect. Allie was wonderful to work with and was flexible, kind, patient, and made the whole process easy. Although...
they do not run the ceremony, they do an excellent job setting it up. The space is gorgeous and can fit quite a large amount of people.
They were great for ceremony, great pictures
I had my reception for 158 people at the Burchfield Penney Art Center last month. The contact person at the Art Cetner is hard to get a hold of and not great on returning phone cal...
ls and emails, but luckily, the Oliver's Catering staff is WONDERFUL! (see my catering review for more details)
The center was rented for an entire day and we also paid for the gallery to be open during cocktail hour for guests to view. The second floor dining area is beautiful and provides a blank canvas where your guests are the color and your tables, etc. are the decoration. The room is beautiful by itself but you can do a lot with it if you want (we did not other then table centerpieces). The patio is avaiable to open if weather is nice. Unfortunately, there was rain the morning of our wedding and Oliver's set up cocktail hour downstairs. This actually worked out well since more guests then enjoyed the gallery.
The round room is great for dancing and acoustics!
Overall, this is a beautiful place for a wedding reception.
A month later and our family and friends are still talking about what a classy wedding we had. We had a separate cocktail hour space, the gallery was open during the cocktail hour...
, the dining space overlooked the main gallery and had an attached terrace where we placed the bar. We rented tablerunners and chairs to dress up the venue from the included linens and chairs. The dedicated catering manager from Oliver's Catering (the exclusive caterer to the art gallery) was phenomonal! I planned my wedding from 7 hrs away and Kristin at Oliver's made it a breeze! The food was outstanding, the setup was great, and no detail was overlooked. When dinner was served and my dad was up socializing, they covered his plate so his food wouldn't get cold. My matron of honor lost a charm from the bracelet I gave her...the catering manager somehow found it in that huge space and mailed it to her in California. So impressed and would HIGHLY recommend having your wedding reception here. The venue had a fee on top of the caterer's cost. The caterer was expensive for Buffalo but well worth the price!
The service I received from the staff as well as the beautiful art as decor.;Be advised that this is a facility that displays art so there certain restrictions on what you are...
able to do and serve in the building.
