Burdoc Farms is the 700 acre Shepherd family farm located in the rolling hills of Western Kentucky. With over 2 wedding venues to chose from, whether you like a rustic barn venue or a modern industrial venue, you dream wedding will be realized at Burdoc Farms.
The wedding business was started in 2012 with the conversion of the equipment barn, now known as The Chapel Barn. Then the rehabilitation of the The Tobacco Barn followed. The Shepherd family painstakingly rehabbed and recycled all materials in both barns to enhance and preserve the authenticity of the buildings.
Keith Glen, the newest venue, was built in 2016. This venue has a glass wall, stone fireplace and wood features that add to its uniqueness. Keith Glen is a year round facility that sits in the woods, facing a pond.

The Keith Glen venue itself was absolutely stunning. We wanted to find a venue that felt like we were outdoors and in nature, but would still be able to accommodate weather issues. Every corner of the venue- from the ceremony space outside, to the large windows overlooking the pond- to the intimate walk in the tree and string lights offered a gorgeous setting. The swans, having the ability to choose all of our vendors, early setup access, the essentials being provided (tables, chairs, lights, arches), our dog being allowed to be there, the functional layout of the building itself, and so much more all added up to a stress free day for our perfect fall wedding! lives. The property itself is absolutely stunning. Every corner feels intentional, elegant, and full of character. We received so many compliments from our guests about how beautiful the venue was and how seamlessly everything flowed throughout the day.
The owner was truly a dream to work with. She went above and beyond in every possible way to make our experience stress-free and memorable. She answered every question I had (even late at night) with kindness and patience. She even blocked off the Airbnb on the property for us so that we could stay close, which made everything so much more convenient since we live over an hour away. On top of that, she graciously gave us a later checkout, which was such a thoughtful gesture.
In the months leading up to the wedding, she let us come out multiple times to walk the property, take pictures, move tables, and brainstorm layout ideas. That level of flexibility and support made such a difference.. it felt like she genuinely cared about helping us create our dream day, not just another event on her calendar.
The day of the wedding went flawlessly. The staff was incredible. They were so professional, friendly, and so attentive. The bartenders especially deserve recognition; they were personable, quick, and made amazing drinks that our guests are still raving about. Every detail came together beautifully, and we never once felt rushed or stressed.
It’s hard to put into words how grateful we are for this experience. This venue didn’t just give us a space.. it gave us memories we’ll cherish for a lifetime. I would recommend it a thousand times over to any couple looking for a venue that’s not only gorgeous, but run by people who truly care about making your day as special as possible.

There are two venues on the farm. I picked the Tobacco Barn, but the Keith Glen is breathtaking taking. I just didn’t think it would be big enough. Also, with my wedding in April, the ceremony barn was the better option so I had a roof in case of rain.
The farm books weddings at both venues for the same day. Sara allows you to take pictures wherever you want on the property. Luckily, there was no other wedding happening the same day, so I didn’t have to worry about photography conflicts.
I gave 4 stars only because you have to pay to stay the night in the bridal suite on the property. The cabin (bridal suite) is and air bnb. However, Sara blocks off the weekend, so no one can book it the whole weekend of your wedding. It says it is $200 a night, but after fees, taxes, and damage protection, just one night to stay in the suite the night before my wedding was nearly $400. If I did not live an hour from the venue I wouldn’t have done it, but I definitely would have forgot something if I had to pack up and transport everything the day of my wedding.

Our venue rep, Sara Shepherd, did not fail to match the venue's brilliance either. Finalizing our date was a breeze, requesting tours was not a problem at all (yes, we had more than one repeat visit leading up to the big day), and Sara was always responsive to our texts, no matter what time of day it was or what she may have had going on. My wife and I felt seen and heard and taken care of throughout the whole process.
We had an Indian pre-wedding ceremony the day before the big day, which turned out perfectly in the outdoor part of the venue while the actual wedding was held indoors. Sara was also generous enough to let us use the Tobacco Barn's stunning overlook for bride+groom photos since it wasn't reserved for anything on the day.
On top of all that, the price was reasonable and the process of paying Sara was also a breeze. Highly recommend Burdoc Farms for your special day, whether you're looking to get married in a rustic barn or a more classically modern structure!

We had the difficult situation of postponement due to the pandemic. Ms Sara immediately offered options and made it possible to reschedule. The wedding planner was responsive to our questions and guided us step by step through the process. The Keith Glenn was the perfect venue accommodating the rehearsal dinner, bridal and groomsmen dressing room needs, guests and overall functional facility layout. We elected the all inclusive, which helped minimize the task of selecting experienced and reliable vendors. The camper for pictures was enjoyed by the guests. I highly recommend Burdoc Farms for any event and have absolutely no regrets or complaint. have been equally perfect. Sarah met with us and we explained our vision and she took care of the rest. When I say, she took care of the rest, I literally mean everything. I didn’t have to worry about a thing. Everything was setup and included in the package. The micro wedding comes with everything; venue, bridal suite, DJ, flowers, catering, every aspect of what you see in lavish weddings but you don’t have to spend hours meeting and planning and organizing because you tell Sarah what you want and it magically happens. Our night was seamless. Our 30 guests were blown away at the experience and my husband and I were able to focus just on us and our guests. It was truly the wedding of our dreams.

When I started looking at venues I knew Burdoc was the one before even leaving and because of the owner and the barns my wedding day was perfect! Everyone should definitely go look at her venue, I promise you won’t regret it! If you don’t like barns she has another place there that is just as perfect! I promise it’s worth it all!
