Burge Plantation

After almost giving up hope on finding an all around affordable yet quality venue, my fiancé and I stumbled upon Burge Plantation. We reached out for information and immediately knew we had found THE place. The pricing is what we first noticed about Burge and how it was something that we could afford and still be able to have a honeymoon too. Then we met with Dawn who quickly was able to answer any questions we had as well as being very flexible in being able to meet and discuss your dream wedding. The responses we received even a year out in our planning process made us feel like our event was the only event for the next twelve months. We were always included in each tasting and even went twice because it was that amazing. At the tastings you not only get to gain confidence in the chef but the service you will receive as well. When storms this year knocked down a tree Burge was quick to clean up and the grounds were always well maintained. There are also so many places to take pictures. Dawn made sure to ask every question so I didn’t even have to worry about forgetting anything. In our trips up to the venue in the weeks before every staff member was friendly and willing to help and even let you know that they are looking forward to your big day just like they were a guest. Dawn handeled the rehearsal and managed all of our different family members effortlessly. On the day of she made sure to keep us in the loop, send pictures, and ask questions. She knew what we wanted and made it even better than we could have ever imagined. Dawn and her team are unbelievable. They were all smiling and helpful. The food was the best wedding food all of our guests have ever had. Chef Andrew helped customize a menu that fit us as a couple and everyone is still talking about it. Burge isn’t a their way or no way place. They customize and create the wedding of your dreams and my husband and I can’t thank Dawn, Chef Andrew, and the amazing Burge staff enough.

Burge Plantation was our perfect wedding venue! From the beautiful grounds to the food to our wedding/event coordinator, Dawn, I cannot rave enough about it! The cost and ease of creating a menu through Burge and bringing our own alcohol was ideal. We also did our own centerpieces but the crew made sure everything was in its place! Everything was perfect for both ceremony and reception and if there were any hiccups from other vendors, Dawn was on top of it! Really, she made everything so easy, I didn't have anything to worry about on my wedding day!

Our recent experience hosting a rehearsal dinner at Burge Plantation was everything we had hoped it would be for our guests. Planning the event with Dawn and the whole team at Burge was easy, from the menu to the tables to the tents and stage for the band. The Burge team really delivered both the hospitality and the experience we envisioned for a southern dinner. I can't say enough good things about Burge Plantation--the venue, the food, the director, the staff, etc. This was the perfect venue to enjoy one of the most exciting days of our lives, sharing our daughter's wedding with family and friends. Burge was our dream wedding venue! The entire staff made sure that every detail was flawless and it was a night to remember. Dawn was incredible from start to finish. She was such a pleasure to spend time with, was helpful with every question big or small at all hours of the day and had fun with us as well. Staying at the property helped relieve stress and gave us a ton of comfort. All of our guests could not stop raving about the food, many of our guests are in the restaurant or hospitality industry and said it was the best food they ever ate. Burge was my husband's choice of venue and I am so lucky to have found Burge and to have a wedding that could not be topped!

Where do I even begin?! There are no words that could describe how amazing everything about Burge Plantation is. I have been going to Burge every since I was a little girl, so when my fiance Josh and I started the wedding planning process we immediately knew that we wanted to have our wedding at Burge and it could not have been more perfect. I could go on and on, so I will try and point out some of the highlights (even though everything about the entire weekend was a highlight). The food - absolutely delicious! Chef Andrew is truly talented and our guests were raving about the menu all night. The venue - simply stunning. We had our ceremony on the front lawn of the main house and the reception (dinner and dancing) in and around the Conservatory. What originally had me "sold" on the location for the reception was the floor to ceiling windows, the outdoor patios, and the overall simplicity which allowed for tons of gorgeous natural light. The staff - inviting, incredible service, and easy to work with (you never had to tell them anything twice). The wedding planning process and cite visits - easy and not stressful. Lastly, Dawn - the wedding coordinator - who deserves her own category. Dawn is a true angel and does her job perfectly. From start to end, she made the entire process fun and really enjoyable! Dawn is the type of person, which I know all brides and their family's appreciate, that you never have to tell her anything twice. She is incredibly efficient and very detailed (which I really appreciated). She was by my side every step of the way, and on my wedding day. I honestly do not know what I would have done without her. Dawn made our wedding day - and the entire weekend - absolutely perfect and a true dream come true! Burge Plantation is the perfect place for a wedding! My husband and I were married at the Oakhill Farmhouse at Burge Plantation last week. We could not be more pleased with everything that Burge has to offer. I wanted to plan an elegant luncheon for my Niece's Bridal Party and WOW did Dawn Leonetti ever deliver. I met with Dawn and took her advice as she presented options on the room, table arrangements and food. Dawn incorporated "special details" into the occasion with her personal touch. She handled everything, even providing the flowers from the Burge Plantation. Such a beautiful table.... Kudos to the Chef for a scrumptious meal - the food was excellent. And, many thanks to our attentive servers who were personable and engaging. The entire day was Amazing. Burge was the perfect venue for my daughter's wedding in July of 2017! Dawn is an amazing event coordinator, the entire staff was so accommodating, the food was scrumptiously delicious, and every detail was handled. Burge Plantation is the perfect venue for a magical wedding. My stepdaughter was married there 2 weeks ago and it was everything she had dreamed of. Wow, just Wow. I knew from the moment I stepped foot on the Burge property that this was IT but it exceeded my highest expectations! The setting was stunning, the planner was the bomb.com, and the food was out of this world; everything was amazing! First and foremost, Dawn, she is beyond amazing!!!! She was incredibly helpful, fun to be around and calming from the moment you sit down with her to plan all the little details it takes to make a perfect weekend. Dawn is the complete package and I couldn't have done it without her. She was so wonderful to work with and made our magical day come to life. She was so organized and made everything FLAWLESS!! (Coming from an incredibly OCD Bride!) Next, the FOOD. O.M.G THE FOOD!!!! I only wish I could have more as I am salivating just thinking about it. Actually, we might just go back to the next tasting to enjoy it again! :) But really, Chef Andrew made the weekend. David and I are huge foodies and every meal just blew us (and all of our guests) completely out of the water. Plump Bacon Wrapped Scallops to Organic Free-Range Chicken to a Chicken and Waffles Brunch and to end the weekend with Shrimp and Grits, Veggie Mac and Cheese and the most delicious tenderloin you will ever put in your mouth. This venue is the perfect package. It is a beautiful setting where elegance and the outdoors meet. We were married between two beautiful large trees in the front lawn with a beautiful plantation home in the background. Our guests weren't even off the grassy lawn before being greeted with a glass of champagne on the 15 step walk to the reception site through the Chef Andrew's Herb Garden. The reception area was amazing being able to have both an indoor and outdoor setup. Our guests were able to enjoy games, amazing hors d'oeuvres, fireplaces and firepits in this amazing setting while they waited for our arrival. We couldn't have had more of a perfect weekend, thank you Burge!!!!!!!

What a magical most perfect weekend our wedding was! Thank you for all of your hard work, phone calls, emails, planning meetings, etc. Your talent was seen throughout the weekend. It's evident that you love your job as you run aound with a huge smile on your face making sure all "demands" as met...and there were lots of them. From the elegant outdoor luncheon to the hayride, from delicious brunches to a successful ceremony and even more success party, I can't say thank you enough! It was even better than what I've dreamed of since age 4. It was a perfect weekend from beginning to end. Thank you for ALL you did for us. I wish we could hit replay and do it all over again. We had our daughter's wedding reception at Burge on October 8, 2016. All I can say, is that from our first visit to Burge until the morning after the reception (yes, newlyweds and bride's family stayed the night at the two cabins at the plantation), the venue was perfect for what my daughter had envisioned for her wedding day. Dawn listened to us, told us about their services and delivered! It was the one constant (in about a year in planning.), where more than a few things went went wrong during the planning process.. Thank you Burge, Dawn and your staff. It was such a beautiful memorable day!

I don’t know what to say or how to say it but “WOW”. You two pulled off the most meticulous, enjoyable, fun, delicious, and memorable wedding of the century! Over my 70+ years I have been to a lot of events, weddings etc., but none that went off without a hitch or complaint. This wedding had neither! Our guests from Michigan, Chicago, New York and Miami were so amazed from the start of the evening on Friday night until after breakfast on Sunday morning and continued to praise the food, the accommodations and the whole place. Dawn, I have never seen anyone so organized, do so many things at one time and always smiling! Andrew, there were so many complements on the food and your interaction with the guests, that I cannot even begin to count them! I don’t know how you do it. I was a guest at my friend's daughter's wedding recently and want to thank you for a wonderful weekend! We had a really nice time and the property is absolutely gorgeous! Love the cabin....it's furnishing and everything about it! I just wish my husband had been able to come with us...he would have never left the Burge! I cannot stop thinking about how perfect everything was at our wedding! I would not have changed a single thing. The ENTIRE Burge staff was incredible and happy the whole time. It's nice to be surrounded by people who joyfully do what they do. The attitude of the people that work places definitely changes the vibe of the place, and Burge is no different. You all did an amazing job of making sure everyone felt at ease. You made a day that could have been over the top stressful and took care of all of the hard parts for us. I don't know if people are just saying it, but everyone I have talked to has said that it was the best wedding that they have ever been to. From the beauty of Burge, to the pastor, the ease and flow of the reception, the great lawn games and room for the kids to run around, amazing food, to the best wedding band that I have ever heard! Even if they are just saying it, for me, it was by far the best wedding that I have event been to! My husband and I want to thank Dawn for all she did to make our rehearsal dinner so lovely. It was a pure delight working with her and she enabled us to feel like guests at our own function. We so appreciated the attention to us throughout the evening and everything seemed to flow so smoothly. The food was outstanding and the staff also was very pleasant. Many of our guests commented on what a great venue it was and all were relaxed and enjoyed the gracious southern hospitality. Not only is Burge beautiful, their staff is awesome and so easy to work with! Our early Spring wedding was perfect and everything went smoothly thanks to their wonderful wedding director, Dawn. The food is delicious and the catering staff is great. We couldn't have dreamed of a better wedding and we are so glad we chose Burge Plantation as our venue!

We had DriveTime, a Covington-based group, as our wedding band and they were fantastic. The grounds at Burge Plantation are breathtaking and we really could not have asked for a better wedding experience. Thank you to Dawn and her marvelous staff for organizing the most delicious and festive Low Country Boil for our 50 guests. The décor was completely organic from the Plantation's various gardens and the presentation of the meal was amazing. Our guests were from out of state and most had never experienced a Low Country Boil, so they were delighted. The dessert was pecan pie and the chef's own homemade ice cream. Our Daughters wedding was absolutely beautiful at the Burge. From the very beginning of the planning until the very end of the reception, the Burge was so accommodating. The setting is like a fairy tale. The big house in itself is a work of art, it made for a very elegant wedding. Much history is surrounding the Burge. Being able to use the big house for the girls to sleep in after the rehearsal dinner and after the wedding reception was so calming for me. They enjoyed it immensely. For us, the parents, having the cabin to stay in before and after the wedding was soothing for our nerves. We were all able to stay and enjoy the setting, mornings and nights. Wedding planning was new to us, and there is so much to do. A planner is a tremendous asset to have. Being able to exchange ideas with someone that has enormous experience is a lifesaver. Yes, that is Dawn, the wedding planner for the Burge. Dawn is absolutely Amazing, calm, cool, and collected, when we might not have been! She can handle all, and anything. She has it down to a science. The vendors, the food, the music, all of it! Big thanks to her! Awesome! This girl knows how to organize! The staff you cannot do without. Charming and so helpful, always making sure we had what we needed. They are dedicated to please. Always there at the right moment. Like when I tried to sneak through the kitchen after the reception was over and the front door was locked. Just don't mess with the kitchen! LOL Very accommodating though! To see my daughter walk out of the big house with her daddy by her side, walking down the lane to the isle between the big trees was gorgeous! The big cross at the trees made it perfect. I'm tearing up just thinking back at it, and how she got to marry the love of her life in that setting, with family and friends all there. My main compliments at the reception were the beautiful wedding and the great food! Chef Andrew, a five star chef, is very talented. From the appetizers to the prime rib, shrimp and grits, to the oysters, everything was delicious. Hats off to the chef! We loved every minute of our daughter's special day! From the rehearsal dinner, enjoying the cabins, breakfast and lunch, getting ready with the girls to the wedding and reception. All, right at the Burge! From the very beginning, the Burge Plantation was a dream come true. Dawn, the on-site wedding coordinator, is extremely talented. She kept me on top of everything and provided all of the best suggestions from vendors down to the wedding timeline. I searched and searched for a wedding venu that would be classy, professional, easy to work with, and had amazing food. I found it all at Buge. It was absolutely perfect. From the beginning stages of planning until the very last guest left, the staff at burge made planning simple and stress FREE! Dawn Leonetti and the burge staff planned way beyond my expectation. Chef Andrew prepared two exceptional means for our rehearsal dinner and the reception. I have had soooooo many people tell me the food was the best they have ever had at a wedding. I know that it's the best I've had hands down. I would use burge over and over again. I have no regrets and everything was executed without a hitch. It was a dream come true.

The Burge Plantation was the absolute perfect venue for our wedding!! From the moment we walked onto the grounds and saw all of the beautiful trees, reception hall, and cottages we knew this was the place we wanted to get married. My husband is an arborist and we got married in front of the main house under two Post Oak trees. The Burge Plantation even let him climb the trees the morning of our wedding to hang lanterns for our ceremony. The wedding planner Dawn is amazing! She is absolutely on top of everything 100%. We currently live in Ohio but are both from Georgia so we had to plan our wedding from out of state. I sent many emails back and forth to Dawn and she always responded quickly and was very thorough. We were able to taste most of our food before hand at the food tasting in January and there we met our photographer, florist, and minister. All of whom are excellent!!! From the flowers to music and food everything was just the way we wanted. The Burge also provides two cottages during the day for the bridal party to hang out and get ready. This was perfect for us because we had several relatives from out of state who we able to come early and spend time with us during the day. The girls cottage also becomes the honeymoon suite at night, so my husband and I didn't have to drive anywhere and we woke up to the gorgeous scenery of the Burge Plantation. Our wedding day was the best day so far and we are so unbelievably happy to have chosen the Burge Planation as our venue. We hope to return through out the years and continue to have wonderful memories there. Thank you to the entire staff at the Burge and Dawn for making our wedding day magical!!

Beautiful setting, accommodations were excellent, staff set up and cleaned after reception was over. Dawn , the event planner, was always there to guide and make the day beautiful. Guest had easy access to parking and the grounds. Food was delicious and so tasty. We were told by all our guest BEST WEDDING EVER .

My husband and I got married at Burge on October 10, and had been planning our wedding there for over a year and a half. While the property itself is worth every penny, Dawn, the wedding coordinator, was by far the best part of our decision to have our wedding at Burge. She ensures that everything is exactly how you want it and is sure to let you know of all of your options along the wedding planning process. Even with it raining twenty minutes before my outdoor ceremony, Dawn never appeared flustered, which helped me stay calm; she knew I wanted an outdoor wedding, and despite the rain, when the time came, she was able to give me a beautiful outdoor wedding that went flawlessly. With Dawn, along with the renowned food, florist, and staff, a wedding at Burge could be nothing less than perfection.

We searched for quite some time for the venue that would fit my dream of a beautiful outdoor setting. We visited several locations, searched online, listened to friend's recommendations. Then we found Burge's website. We went out there that same day and looked no further! Dawn, their wedding coordinator, answered all of our questions (and our list was long!!) and by the time we left we just knew we could make this day all that we had hoped for. Our families are all from the Midwest and seeing their faces when they arrived at an actual Southern plantation was priceless! 2 weeks after our wedding the compliments are still coming in on the menu. Definitely not your usual 'wedding' food. We were also highly complimented on how smoothly everything flowed, from the seating of the guests to our 'sparkler' send-off. Dawn was everywhere. She made sure that every little detail of our planning was accomplished. We know that with each anniversary we celebrate we can look back on our wedding day, the fun we had, the caring of the Burge staff, seeing our friends and family truly enjoying themselves. It was the perfect start to our life together.

She also did a great job orchestrating our family and friends during the rehearsal and ceremony. We added several personalized details to our wedding and Dawn ensured that everything went smoothly with those as well. My sister in law had her wedding at the Farmhouse at Oakhill which is part of Burge. It was absolutely beautiful despite the drizzly weather. Dawn took care of everything even though we had to change the wedding around due to the weather. Dawn was great the Bride or mother had to worry about anything. Dawn took care of everything through the whole process. She is awesome. The food was delicious. the wedding was beautiful and I could recommend them to anyone who is looking for a beautiful venue to have their wedding at. The rehearsal dinner was awesome as well.

All events at the Burge Plantation were well planned, organized and prepared for unexpected weather circumstances. The grounds were immaculate! Wedding guests commented on the beauty of the plantation. Cabin accommodations were wonderful. The room amenities were absolutely outstanding. Quiet and very restful surroundings provided for a restful haven. Set up for the rehearsal dinner was outstanding. The food preparations of Chef Andrew were delicious. Well prepared and presentation was superb. Service providers were very polite and professional. Wedding Event planner, Dawn Leonetti, provided flawless procedures beyond expectations. This is a beautiful setting for either an indoor or outdoor wedding. The coordinator we worked with is Dawn. She is organized, professional, available, helpful, and calm. She was able to keep everything moving smoothly without being pushy. The chef provided excellent, tasty food. There was both a bride's and groom's cottage available for the wedding party to use. By all means, consider this venue. I highly recommend it.

My daughter was married last weekend at Burge Plantation. Even though mother nature chose not to cooperate the wedding could not have been more beautiful. Dawn was absolutely amazing. Every detail was taken care of to perfection. I could not have asked for someone more delightful to work with. I would definitely recommend this venue and Dawn to all.

I cannot recommend Burge highly enough. When I first met with Dawn Leonetti at Burge, she asked me what I wanted for my wedding day (a variation on the "what is your VISION for your wedding day?" question that almost every single vendor we spoke with asked). I told her I wanted to show up, get married, have a fun party with great food, and to not have to worry about ANY of the details. Dawn and the Burge staff provided all that, and more. In the three weeks leading up to the wedding, when our plans were changing almost by the hour due to last minute RSVPs, wedding party indecisiveness, and various wedding-related freak outs, Dawn calmly incorporated the changes without batting an eye. On the day of our wedding, despite bad weather, an unprepared DJ, a bride who was running late, a florist who was out of contact, and other such challenges, Dawn and her staff had everything under control. I didn't have to worry about anything other than walking down the aisle (which was beautiful and made for gorgeous pictures). When we got to the reception, Dawn had already snagged a plate of appetizers just for us, as our guests were devouring the appetizers (which were AMAZING) at an awe-inspiring rate. She made sure my husband and I had a plate of Chef Andrew's delicious food before the buffet line was open (and again, before the guests descended on the delectable food like a chocoholic at the Ghiradelli factory), and even had plates of food and wedding cupcakes waiting for us in our cabin after the reception ended. We were able to focus on the excitement of getting married, dancing, and spending time with friends and family and NOT worrying about details! Burge is a beautiful location with fabulous food (seriously, the shrimp and grits are to die for), but there are lots of beautiful locations. What set it apart from all the other venues was Dawn and her staff-they made our wedding day as easy and stress-free as possible.

We absolutely love Dawn and love Burge. Our wedding was beautiful and we were both so calm - Dawn is amazing. She is 80% of the reason we chose Burge. The venue is beautiful, the grounds were immaculate for our big day, the food was so delicious! We pretty much want to live there :) there is no other place that could've made our wedding better!
