Since my wife and I obviously were going through the ceremony, I didn't think about what Cody was doing and hardly noticed her, but based on the pictures, she captured our moment very beautifully. She took pictures of everyone in their respective preparations and dressing up. She gathered us for group pictures afterword and that went very smoothly. I am very delighted with the results, the pictures look great, and we plan to schedule again the next time we need professional photography done.

This was the very first photo shoot I had ever done with almost zero knowledge of them. I always felt I am the least photogenic person in the world. Not anymore. She was very natural with the process, knowing the angles, the lighting, and giving us ways to pose. Our pictures turned out amazing and we have already been told how amazing they look and have been telling my friends and family. She is very friendly to work with and we are extraordinarily happy. We definitely recommend Cody.

I have run into her through work and friend connections as well, and have seen how passionate she is about making sure her brides'/ customers' vision comes to life. I know someone who she borrowed a classic car from just to get the perfect 1940s bridal photo-shoot for her client...to me, that's commitment. She is reasonably priced relative to her talent and value of photos, and upfront and honest about rates, as well as booking/ contract terms- all of which are the same as other professional photographers. I'd highly recommend choosing her as your photographer, and contacting her as soon as you know your date because she books up quick from what I know.

At that point, she has already left a bad impression on me so I rather spend more money on another photographer. I understand that she's not obligated to do anything without a signed contract, but I can't say it didn't leave a bad impression when she was super eager to work with me and the next minute retracts on her offer as soon as she has the upper hand. Here's the thing, she can tell me this is standard practice regarding contracts and retainers and I didn't EXPECT her save my date without one, but it doesn't change the human expectation that when someone offers you something, you expect them to keep their word. Seriously, if she had from the very beginning told me that this is a limited time offer and can change anytime if she have another person interested, I wouldn't be so shock to see the email where she retract the offer. Or if she had honored the deal if I committed to the contract and retainer within x days, then I wouldn't be upset either. These are just suggestions for doing business with future clients. I understand it's just business and she just happens to value the money more than her reputation. What are you if your word means nothing? Although it was not an ideal situation to be in, it led me to find a photographer that I love more and I'm very willing to pay more for it. I'm happy with where I've landed and I guess if this didn't happen, I wouldn't have found the photographer I love. What makes Cody more unprofessional was that in response to this post, she went on Facebook, denied this ever happened, and ask others write her a review on the Knot. She said that I'm just mad that she didn't choose me over the other girl. For the record, she offered to service me if I paid the new $ amount. Because of her post, her friend used a low-blow tactic to attack my character without being involved in the situation to discredit my review. Why all of a sudden did she gets all these great reviews right after I spoke up about my experience? Wedding planning is supposed to be a good experience and she just left a nasty aftertaste in my mouth.
