alf of the upgrade she immediately gave me that money back plus my deposit. The place was short staff, two of three bathroom stalls were closed, plates were left on the table all night. I had no designated manager. I cut my own cake. Outside parking had no light you could barley see in front of you. Everyone in the office knew how unsatisfied I was through emails plenty of phone calls and they made to many promises to call me back and take care of the problem. I finally caught the owner leaving the facility who acted as through he knew nothing of the situation. After several phones and more emails he agreed to pay me 500$ I received a 1000$ check that I deposited into my account. The manager had put a stop check on and I was charged 15$ by my bank. Omg this has been a nightmare. I spoke to Sam the manger who said the check was wrong and he had to do another he would contact on 8/8/22. 2pm still no call so I called him. He had me hold for 10 mins. Then said he would call be back. He called back to tell me I owe him 500$ so now I feel like I being pranked. I go up there he called the police on and said I was hostile . I called the police as well and said he stole from me. I need a lawyer asap. Sam the manger told me he wouldn’t have gave me 1000$ 6/15 he would have only gave me 500$. I’m still trying to figure out what happened. He’s the owner he sign the checks not to mention what have I been calling 1-2 times a week for? Why did he agree to pay me 500$ for? We even discussed me coming up there to get the check so it wouldn’t get caught in the mail. I’m so confused and I’m need of help to get all my 7100$ at this point.

1) Appetizers were meatballs, humus, and pita bread. No heat under the meatballs chafing dish so they were cold.
2) The poor "bartender" lady was not a bartender. Slow and didn't know her liquors. I asked for a rum and coke. She said she didn't have rum. I said, yes you do, it's the bottle with white label that says Bicardi and pointed to the bottle.
3) There were no salt and pepper shakers put on the table. I went into the kitchen until I found someone who gave me a rack of salt & pepper shakers which I put on the table.
4) No one bussed the tables. We put appetizer plates on the bar ourselves.
5) No one was available to cut the wedding cake. Guests did it. Then there were no forks to be found anywhere.
6) There was no coffee, no coffee cups.
You get the picture yet? AVOID THIS PLACE.
THEY ARE SO UNDERSTAFFED AND INCOMPETENT THAT THEY SHOULD NOT BE OPEN. THE BRIDE AND GROOM'S PARENTS SHOULD GET THEIR MONEY BACK.

, I am the mother of the bride and wasn't given a pitcher of water for my table, we also weren't served appetizers. The florist wasn't allowed in the venue to decorate until after 11 for 18 tables and the hall wasn't decorated when the guests started arriving at 3p.m. The lasagna was cold and dry, the huge slice they gave me could have fed 2 people. They didn't serve her wedding cake and we didn't get it back after the reception.
The young lady we originally met with and setup the reception was replaced by someone who wanted more money and didn't want to honor the original contract. I hope that this review causes people to think seriously about whether they would trust someone who cared so little for the guests, bride and groom, and the vendors, to take their money, which isn't cheap, and give such poor service.
I hope I never have to return to this location for another event.

I went to a wedding reception at Burton Manor on 4/10/21. The reception started at 6:00pm but the bartender would not serve drinks and said "the bar isn't open yet". 6:00pm was whe...
n the bar was supposed to open so I'm not sure why it wasn't open yet. When the bar finally opened there were 2 bartenders, one disappeared half way through my 10 minutes of waiting for a drink and never came back (like not at all for the rest of the night). The drinks we so strong they were un-drinkable. When we asked for a pitcher of water, we couldn't have one because we should have cups and a pitcher already on our table - none of the tables had water already on the table. The "appetizers" were served one single plate at a time to each table. Our table of 4 people got a plate with cheese cubes and nothing else. The plate didn't even have utensils and we didn't get any personal plates to put our cheese on. No utensils meant we had to grab the cheese with our bare hands... in the midst of COVID-19. After 20 minutes we finally got a plate of crackers. We had asked for silverware 3 times and didn't receive any, so a person from our table went to the kitchen and ask for 4 sets of silverware from them. Next we were supposed to receive a vegetable tray (never did, although some of the tables did) and then salads. But instead we got served our main course. Serving one plate to each table at a time. (The serving was individual plate) There were only 2 waitresses for the entire reception. Each waitress would walk from the kitchen to each table with only one plate at a time to serve the whole room. It took FOREVER. Halfway through serving the main course they brought salads out - the groom's parents said it's too late to bring the salads out they were supposed to come out a half hour ago, so they got sent back. We were supposed to get dinner rolls and pasta, pasta was only served to 1/3 of the room and there were no dinner rolls. The waitresses never took any empty plates or glasses from the tables throughout the entire night. We left and plates and glasses were still on the tables with food on them hours later, it was gross. They only served half the room the sliced cake and never announced that the rest of the cake and desserts were available in the corner of the room. The bartender (still working alone) was very slow and very rude. When asked about a tip jar he said "if you wanna tip, just throw it on the counter" in a rude tone like we were disturbing him. The mother of the groom ended up serving several plates of food to the guests because the waitresses were so slow and the food was getting cold. When a glass was dropped and broken on the dance floor no one came out to clean it up, the mother of the groom had to go back and find a manager to get something to clean it up, her and one of the groomsman ended up cleaning it up instead of the manager. The entire venue was a disaster. I am incredibly disappointed as I have been to several events at this venue and never had the TERRIBLE service that we had 2 weeks ago. I would NEVER recommend having your wedding reception at this venue because of the low standards they have for their staff. My friend cried on her wedding night because of how awful this venue was, you should never cry on your wedding night, especially over something like this. This is unacceptable. I will make sure to tell everyone I know not to book at this venue, and I am a photographer, so I know and see a lot of couples planning weddings.

For my wedding, I did assigned seating but was told that they don’t have table numbers and they would not set out my table numbers even though they were ones to make my seating number arrangement. During my wedding, serving trays were left out the entire night so now they are a part of my wedding pictures and video. The food was horrible outside of their chicken. We were promised by the owner that he would be available that day to make sure things went smoothly; he wasn’t.

Don’t let them get beaten up while you continue to do nothing on the sidelines. I didn’t even see employees make a 911 call; it seemed like everyone EXCEPT the workers took action.

One of the tricky things about Burton is that you usually can't set things up until the day of...but I called that morning and they let us bring our things their and just drop them off so we could get right to work later. They were very accommodating with letting us see the room whenever we asked to. During the reception, they were very attentive to all of our needs. They periodically come and check with the bride and I on how we were doing/ if we wanted anything from the bar/ to introduce themselves/ they were just extremely helpful. They also gracefully took care of some wedding crashers that we had. I would definitely recommend Burton Manor to anyone hosting a wedding reception.

I noticed all the chairs were ugly burgundy they did not put chair covers on like I asked. I asked for chair covers and our contact person there Alex we had met with us several times and even asked what color sash we wanted but forgot to charge us so they didn’t put them on and wouldn’t take it out of our deposit. My wedding planner got to the venue and the manager of the day was absolutely rude and unprofessional about it claiming it was never ordered and she was never told. My wedding planner said this was the most unprofessional venue she has ever worked with. When it was time for the meal, salads came out the literally no joke 20-30 minutes later the main dish came out, but only certain tables got their food don’t let me forget all the food was cold. We had a duet plate of steak and chicken and the chicken was so cold and gross people thought it was fish – ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? My dads table got their food, but my husband’s family did not have food 10 mins after my dad was served and their tables were right next to each other???? It took forever for food to come out my photographer and videographer felt bad for me because everything got pushed back an hour because of the terrible service. Not everyone was served cake, my family didn't even get to have my cake. I guess the servers were lazy and didn’t want to serve our over 200 guest. They were under staffed tried to hold too many weddings at one time and failed. None of the tables were cleared off through out the night there were still salad plates when cake was being served and some of my guest made glass towers because none of their glasses from the bar was removed. They turned the lights on during my first dance and someone had to yell at them to turn it off. Someone dropped salad on the floor and people had to walk over it and it was never cleaned up. The also had other people from different weddings coming in our wedding to use our bathrooms because the other ones were crowded??????????????? There was also servers bringing dirty dishes from other weddings into our hall to get through the kitchen because not all the rooms have an entry way to the back. I would advise future brides you get what you pay for and just because the venue looks nice and the prices are cheap doesn't necessarily mean that it would be nice. There are other places you can look. And Alex is fake he pretends like he cares but he doesn’t. Please go anywhere but here – now when me and my husband look at pictures from our wedding and see the ugly chairs it makes us want to cry.

I finally just went up there in person and the two coordinators were arguing over something. The down payment was only $500 and the price was unbeatable most likely due to having a wedding during the off-season. Once at the reception, the servers came right up to us and introduced themselves and seemed great! But all the vegetarian and kids meals were not delivered to the guests until after all the main course meals were delivered so people at a table finished their course while the others at the same table haven't even gotten their course since it was vegetarian. This even happened to my bridesmaid sitting at our head table! The bathrooms were good even had tampons and pads laying out for anyone and the food was excellent! If you don't mind getting delayed emails and waiting until the last minute to finalize everything then this should be fine for you too!

Sue at Burton Manor with a deal we couldn't beat. Never having been to see the hall I booked an appointment to view and was very impressed with the upgrades and lack of the "hall" feel. I loved that the bathrooms are private and in your room, not shared with everyone else and down the hall, my guests did too. The server who was setting up my room looked horrified and apologized profusely about this mistake and said she would have it changed. Guests started arriving and it still was not changed, so we had to request it again. It was then "changed" by having someone scribble over the printed sign by the entrance with a sharpie marker. I'm not really one to complain, but this looked incredibly tacky, especially since there were nice printed signs for the other rooms being used that day. We told several servers about this change, who all looked appalled by this and told us that the "acting manager" did this and that they would have it changed. It took several more attempts of asking this to be changed but it finally was after about half our guests were there. Everything else went smoothly and the servers and food were great, but I thought the acting manager of the day was incredibly unprofessional and was bothered that she did not see the sign as a problem at all (even when it said baby shower).

We thought ok lets do it but they failed to tell us that it was being wrapped in napkins and not something that would be easier for my guest to take with them. That was kind of embarassing!
