My husband booked a chauffeur ride to take me to our wedding. Yuri was our driver. Things started out fine until he asked me how long my partner and I have been together and I said 9 years. He went on a long lecture from there on how men cannot commit, etc. I mostly tried to drown this out as assumptions were being made about my soon-to- be husband that were very presumptuous and not applicable to my situation. I tried to steer the ship on how my partner is the romantic, I’m the one who’s struggled with the marriage concept, etc. , of which he drowned all of that out and continued onward. He apologized at one point that he was asking too many questions. I said it was fine as I wanted to move on and I could not have imagined it would get worse, but I was wrong… when the next thing he proceeded to say was I needed to give my husband a child or “he would resent me” (I am not paraphrasing). This was all on the way to my wedding before I walked down the aisle. The driver was entitled to his sexist viewpoints, but I didn’t need to hear them… they were offensive and unprofessional. I am giving two stars because this would have been a very typical chauffeur service if he knew how to have a normal interaction with the riders (or no interaction at all would also have worked). I wish I took a standard ride share service. It would have been way cheaper and likely not… whatever this was...
I recently had the pleasure of using this transportation for our wedding service, and overall, it was a positive experience. The shuttle was impressively punctual, arriving right on time and sticking to the schedule throughout the journey. The bridal party was running late and the transportation with the groomsmen waited to accommodate the delay in schedule so the bridal party could arrive first at the venue. This reliability is a significant plus, especially for those of us who have tight schedules and need dependable transportation.
The driver was professional and courteous, making the trip smooth and pleasant. The shuttle itself was comfortable and well-maintained for the most part. However, I did notice that the back of the shuttle was a bit dusty. While this didn't affect the overall comfort of the ride, a little extra attention to cleanliness in all areas would certainly enhance the experience.
