About this vendor
Buss Farms is a working cattle farm and wedding venue situated in Pataskala, OH, just seven miles east of New Albany. This 50-acre farm features a historic barn from the late 1800s, a renovated farmhouse built in 1902, rolling meadows, wildflowers, and a picturesque pond. With a range of scenic sites for both indoor and outdoor events, it's the perfect setting for weddings of all kinds.
Buss Farms is owned and operated by the Buss family. Founded on faith and family, the operation was begun with the intention of caring for the land and providing healthy food. For this reason, their cattle are raised on a pure grass diet, free from harmful chemicals. The family began hosting weddings on the farm because they wanted to share their beautiful land with couples, giving them a tranquil and scenic setting for their milestone celebrations.
Surrounded by nothing but cornfields, Buss Farms offers you peace and privacy for your special day. However, it's still located close enough to the city that several hotels are just a few miles away, giving you the best of both worlds. Exchange vows in a romantic outdoor ceremony in one of the farm's many idyllic locations, surrounded by pine trees and native Ohio wildflowers. Afterward, enjoy a rustic-themed reception in the welcoming ambiance of the historic barn. With its exposed wooden beams and warm lighting, it's the perfect setting for an authentic countryside celebration. The venue can provide event essentials such as tables and chairs, and will assist with setup. There's also ample parking onsite for guests. Buss Farms encourages interested couples to get in touch to find out more.

I can’t say enough great things about Buss Farms and the family that runs it! The scenery is stunning and the farmhouse was perfect for getting ready.
One of the best parts about...
the venue was the owners, Stephanie and Matt. They were extremely communicative, willing to make anything work for us, and they were just as excited about the wedding as we were.
And did I mention the cows?? They were adorable and eager to be a part of our day!
I would highly recommend this venue to everyone!!
We couldn’t have been more blessed with our venue and owners. There were many kind words said to us, prayers, reminders that God would always make a way. Their family was such a hu...

you are royalty on your wedding day! It is a pricey venue, but I am telling you, it is so worth it! Most of the communication is through Stephanie, and on the day of the wedding, Matt is there the whole time to help with anything needed. I cannot thank these wonderful people enough for making my wedding day the best day of my life!
If I could give Buss Farms one million stars, I would. When I started my wedding planning journey, I toured roughly a dozen venues and all of them felt cookie cutter to me. Until I...
found Buss Farms. My now sister in law stepped onto the property and just KNEW. Stephanie and Matt went above and beyond to make our day, and the two years leading up to it, incredible! I cannot imagine a more perfect day, and it had SO much to do with the venue and the owners. Just schedule a tour!!! You will be so glad you did.

hly recommend using her day of services as a well. Our wedding was magical, our guests loved the venue, the decor and of course the cattle!! I can’t say enough good things about our experience.

eady. The bride and groom were thrilled in every respect. Our guests say it was a gloriously fun wedding!
Matt and Stephanie are amazing! From the moment we stepped onto the farm, we knew it would be the one we wanted for our wedding. It is absolutely stunning! We didn't even need many...
decorations for the wedding, we let the venue speak for itself. They both kept in constant contact with us, even allowing us to show our parents the venue before the wedding. We hired Stephanie as our Day-Of coordinator, and we couldn't have made it throughout the day without her! She goes above and beyond for the couples. She made sure it was perfect and that we kept on time with the detailed timeline we came up with for the big day. She even went through what the ceremony would be like if it were to rain and didn't let us worry about a thing the day of. She even kept watch on a disabled family member to be sure they were taken care of for us. They worked with us on a payment schedule. We were planning our wedding in 5 months, and they were super flexible on payments as to not overwhelm us. They even drove us around on their gator to spots we wanted for our photos, and let us feed the cows! They also sent us pictures they had taken of the moment after the ceremony when it was just the 2 of us, and we love that they captured that moment! I would highly recommend Buss Farms to anyone who's looking for a beautiful outdoor/indoor venue with amazing owners and a wonderful couple to work with!
Really pretty venue but rude owners. The gentleman was very particular about parking. He wanted you to park in the grass but only in the grass he said was okay. He also yelled at g...
uests for not moving their cars fast enough out of the gravel at the end of the night and said “Can you just got already? For God’s sake.” When we were trying to get the bride loaded into our car. It was nice that you could bring your own beer but the owners need to work on their hospitality skills.
When I proposed to my wife I wanted her to have her dream wedding. We looked at multiple venues, and the moment we saw Buss Farms we knew it was the perfect place. After walking t...
he farm with Matt and Stephanie it only added to our excitement. Planning went smoothly, communication was easy, nothing seemed to give us any trouble. On the day of our wedding, Matt escorted our guests that were not able to walk very well to their seats with the gator. The guest house provided ample room to get the bridal party ready while the gents hung out shooting pool. Lastly but most importantly, the barn turned into what seemed to be a wonderland of floral arrangements and drapery that shimmered with the perfect lighting. Coupled with the cocktail bar and fire pit there was nothing left to do but have fun. Of course it’s a great venue, but with the care and time that Matt and Stephanie take you’re assured nothing short of a perfect day! You may even gain a pair of friends, because after our time with them, that’s what they have become!
Words can’t even begin to describe how wonderful this venue and the owners are. Matt and Stephanie are simply just the most beautiful people and are doing what they are called to d...
o. Every step of this process working with them has been a dream. They are the kindest and most helpful humans and made our wedding an absolute dream. The barn itself is spectacular. I could not recommend this venue enough and highly encourage for the hospitality alone, the views are just an added bonus!
We knew when we booked with Buss Farms that our wedding would be amazing but words can't even describe what a perfect day it turned out to be. Stephanie and Matt, the owners, are s...
eriously some of the best people you'll ever meet. They want your day to be everything you want - they don't have any crazy rules like most venues we reached out to, & on top of that, they do anything they can to help your day run smoothly. I couldn't have imagined having my wedding anywhere else. Book with them, I promise you won't be disappointed!!
My wife and I are wedding photographers and had the pleasure of photographing at Buss Farms. What a wonderful venue just right outside of Columbus, Ohio. The service you receive fr...
