Experience:
Vince was inspired at age 7 to make Christmas centerpieces for his family out of fresh pine branches from his yard... that began his love of floral design. 8 years later he began working in a greenhouse and as a floral assistant, then received a BS Degree in Ornamental Horticulture from Delaware Valley College with a focus on floral design.
1980 was the beginning of Butera The Florist, with a vision of bringing floral artistry to his hometown of York, PA. Now some four decades later, that God given talent and passion still exudes. Vince is a nationally known floral designer and speaker who has been awarded membership in American Academy of Floriculture, American Institute of Floral Designers and Professional Floral Communicators International.
He and Carolyn, his wife of 44 years, fulfilled their dream of living in Downeast Maine and moved their home and business from Pennsylvania to the Blue Hill Peninsula of Maine in 2021.

ceived so many compliments on his work, they seemed to bring the whole wedding together. Vince is also extra special because he brings the bouquet to the bride to see for the first time. When he brought my flowers to my room I couldn’t help but cry as I was stunned in awe at the beauty. It was the first moment of the day that everything hit me and it meant so much. Not only is he extremely talented, his passion for his work is beyond words. I never thought the flowers would mean so much to me but his work was genuinely one of my favorite memories from the day. We honestly can’t thank him enough!!!!

p for your wedding. He starts with a "vision call" where you describe your favorite flowers, style, and vision for your wedding. From there, he proactively communicates every step of the way to deliver the most perfect flowers to match your vision. Without a doubt, I would recommend Vince to any bride / groom looking for beautiful wedding flowers.

our ceremony and reception showed in the AMAZING floral work he did. We were THRILLED with his work!

arvest theme because his favorite color is orange, and his parents have a farm. When we met with Vince, we discussed our theme and we showed him some pictures of arrangements we liked. On our wedding day when we saw all arrangements, we were blown away! The arrangements on the tables, on the alter, and our bouquets were so much more than I envisioned! I wish they would last forever because they were just beautiful! We have gotten so many compliments on how beautiful all the flowers were and how colorful they were. Since we went with a fall/harvest theme, we wanted to have some wheat in some of the arrangements as well. We got some wheat from my husband’s parent’s farm and Vince was able to incorporate the wheat into the table arrangements and alter flowers. Vince truly has a gift! We would recommend him for anyone who is getting married and looking for a florist!

When Vince arrived at our wedding venue, I was so excited. He felt like a family member coming to wish us well on our big day. And the flowers were absolutely stunning. I teared up seeing my vision come to life much better than I could have imagined. Vince and his staff showed everyone how to hold their bouquets and told me how to hang the flowers to dry them when the day was over. From the aisle flowers to the altar arrangement, the car adornment to my bridal bouquet, every item was stunning.
We wanted our wedding to feel like we were in the Scottish highlands. Vince transported us to Scotland with his expertise and artistry. I was able to dry my bouquet and keep it in tact in a shadow box allowing me to enjoy Vince's artistry for many years to come.

ed to find a florist whose focus was on art and creativity and would also appreciate the venue. Mr. Butera was that florist!! The barn looked absolutely beautiful!! He knew how to fill a room that size without it looking over done or under done. I so appreciate the first meeting we had with him. He asked my daughter all kinds of questions to understand her personality, looked at her wedding dress and bridesmaids dresses, and tried to get the feel of what she wanted for her guests that day. Mr. Butera came up with an amazing plan and it was spot-on and beautiful!! Mr. Butera is an artist who knows what he is doing. Thanks, Mr. Butera!!!! S. Shandy

Throughout the planning process, Vince sat down with my mom and I and listened to my vision for my special day. He completely designed my flowers exactly how I wanted. I would highly recommend using Butera The Florist for your wedding day. I would not change one thing about my flowers. They were absolutely breathtaking! Vince was worth every $! I remember walking down the aisle and looking at my beautiful arbor he decorated, and the flower ties on all the chairs... and how it was exactly how I dreamed.
Thank you Vince for everything! My day was magical thanks to your artistic touch.

tc. and he helped me envision the floral aspects. Our style was "eco chic/romantic" and he NAILED it. I received so many compliments on the farm table garland, the bouquets, the cake flowers, the head table garland, and centerpieces for the round tables. My husband and I made white birch tripods and Vince was able to turn them into these amazingggg floral centerpieces. We can't express enough how great it was to work with Vince Butera. Thank you for everything! He's not just a florist, he is TRULY AN ARTIST.

oral pillars. Our guests commented on how truly beautiful each piece was and we are so pleased with how they helped to make our wedding a dream come true. After receiving an initial quote to cover all flowers (including centerpieces) for the wedding, we decided to handle all flowers outside of our ceremony ourselves due to the significant price quote. We are so very pleased with the flowers Butera provided, but they come at a premium. We highly recommend Butera for any special event.

trusted him. In that first meeting he totally understood what theme, and feel I was going for.. even named it "Garden Elegance" and it was perfect. He worked with our budget and made sure the feel was not compromised due to budget restrictions. I left a small bird cage with him with the idea we'd use it on the tables with one large rose in it, due to the budget we cut that out and was pleasantly surprised to see he used that same bird cage as our cake topper which tied everything in together. I will recommend him to anyone who'd listen. He was WONDERFUL!!

rstanding how the flowers would work with the rest of our overall look. The flowers at the church and reception site looked beautiful and Mr. Butera brought the bridal party and mothers their bouquets and corsages before the ceremony to show how to hold them/help pin them correctly. There were only two downfalls to this service. One was that the flowers for our grandparents were placed in the back of the church, but we were not aware of this. As a result, the grandparents did not receive their flowers prior to the ceremony because we could not find them. The other negative, not really Butera's fault, is that he was being filmed for a TV show on the day of our wedding and we found the camera man for the show to be very rude to the bridal party. He was very much in the way of some special moments before the ceremony and was very pushy about getting paperwork signed. He seemed to have no regard for the fact that this was someone's wedding day and we found his mannerisms unprofessional. Again, this does not really reflect on Butera as he was 100% professional from start to finish. We were fortunate to have him as our florist.
I absolutely loved Mr. Butera and the flowers for my wedding! I had an idea in my head of what I wanted but wasn't totally sure and when I had my first consultation with him he was...
so helpful. I told him what I was looking for and he talked it out with me and gave me some suggestions and on paper it looked really good, but was still anxious to see the end result but of course had to wait till the wedding day. Which was very hard. But when I saw my bouquet I was speechless! It was even more beautiful than I could have ever imagined! And my girls loved their flowers as well. He took my ideas and made them so much more beautiful than I could have ever thought possible!
