Elizabeth did such an amazing job on our wedding cake and cupcakes! My husband (who is not a sweets person) really enjoyed our cake and we had several guests go back to grab seconds. Would highly recommend this place for any dessert needs. Elizabeth was also very friendly, communicative, and helpful throughout the entire planning process! 😊

First off, our cake was absolutely fantastic. This was easily the best cake my husband and I have ever had! The testing box that Butter & Batter Bakery offers, made it extremely easy to cater exactly to our flavor palettes! Second, I have never interacted with a more delightful person than Elizabeth! Her communication skills are flawless and anytime we had a question, she responded quickly and kindly.

- Elizabeth FranklinOwnerHi there! I’m Elizabeth Franklin—Certified Pastry Chef, Certified Culinarian, and proud owner of Butter & Batter Bakery. I discovered my love for the culinary arts early on, inspired by my grandmother’s beautiful wedding cakes that always felt like the heart of every celebration. That inspiration led me to pursue my passion professionally. In 2023, I graduated with honors from Ivy Tech Community College with a dual degree in Baking & Pastry and Culinary Arts. I also earned the titles of Certified Pastry Chef and Certified Culinarian through the American Culinary Federation. In January 2025, I had the incredible opportunity to spend time at a three-Michelin-starred restaurant in California—an experience that deepened my love for the culinary world. While I enjoy all things culinary, my heart truly belongs to the wedding industry. There’s something magical about helping couples bring their dream cake to life, and it’s a privilege to play a small part in such an important day. I’ve been lucky to have amazing support along the way, especially from my dad, my biggest cheerleader, always encouraging me to keep going and give my very best. When I’m not in the kitchen, I love to travel, read, and spend time with my cat, Sasha. And if you’re curious, my favorite cake flavor is pumpkin with cream cheese buttercream!
