Nightmare experience It was so incredibly sad to have had the experience that I did with Butterfly Cakery. I went in with such high hopes after seeing the rave reviews. But boy oh boy, I had no idea what was in store for me. I had reached out with a picture of a cake and requested a quote for the exact cake. Cool. Got the quote, it was in my budget and I finalized it. I did request a color change and sent an email of my dress’s color swatches. I was told it’d be better if they could get the fabric swatch in person a week before the wedding. I said okay. Unfortunately my family abroad did not send the swatch with my dress. I called them and said I’d like to keep my cake the original color pictured. Yes, all prior communication I had prior to that was via email but it was less than 2 weeks to the wedding and I wanted quick confirmation of everything at this point. Whoever picked up took down my details and said she would handle it. The day before my wedding, my bridesmaids went to pick up my cake. They sent me a picture and I was beyond shocked. The cake they provided looked like a kindergartener had painted it and it was the strangest color scheme! Nothing like my dress swatch OR the original pink color. I was baffled. Not to mention there was no depth in the painting and it looked so amateur and Dr. Seuss inspired. I was on the phone with my bridesmaids there trying to figure out what went wrong. And then… Robin came out swinging. I was absolutely appalled that a business owner would act like this. She came out yelling at her employees and my bridesmaids rudely demanding “where is the cake?” in a rude tone with no greeting or anything to them. When she got on the phone with me she was beyond rude. It’s the day before my wedding and she made me cry. I’m not even sensitive but this lady was so harsh, took zero responsibility, blatantly called me a liar and was so difficult to communicate with. I will never forget it. She accused me of never calling to make the changes to the cake (regardless, anyone with eyes can see that it was nothing like the original swatch anyways and even color scheme aside, the cake I got was far from the artistic level of the cake that I had ordered) despite that I had in my phone records the call to the bakery! She kept going on and on about how I broke my contract (what???), and was needlessly aggressive. At no point did I raise my voice or do anything to instigate such a reaction from this woman. I was forced to pay extra to have my cake fixed. I was given a strict window of time to pick up my cake the next day (as it was a Sunday and they’re typically closed). My bridesmaids showed up right on time and the cake was not ready and they were forced to wait. The final product was acceptable but still not to the level of detail as the original cake I saw on their Instagram page. Over half the flowers were white and left unpainted and the ones that were painted had no depth and dimension like the original cake. Was the cake delicious? Yes. Would I ever recommend this bakery to any bride? No. Please stay far away, if only to not support this sorry excuse of a business owner who thought it okay to make a customer literally cry.

Ordered the White Raspberry buttercream cake for my intimate wedding it was rich in flavor had a melt in mouth texture which I was looking for in rustic, chic cake. Furthermore, it was ideal for piping and decorating with fresh flowers as that was done separately. Still have some till today
