Butternut Farm Golf Club

Butternut farm was a beautiful venue and perfect for my husband and I. It offered a scenic ceremony on the golf course, with the ability to be flexible in the event of rain. They had an amazing space for the reception allowing you to be both indoors and outdoors. The affordable package that had the ability to involve the florist, cake, and DJ for the reception made things so much easier as well. The vendors we utilized through them did not disappoint either. Thalita was assigned to our wedding and she made sure our vision for the day became a reality. Guests were so happy with the whole day and made sure to say repeatedly what an amazing time they had attending. Highly recommend working with this venue.

I loved having my wedding at Butternut! The location is absolutely beautiful! Hope and Thalita made sure my wedding what exactly what I pictured. Hope answered my emails quickly and was helpful through the process. The inclusive vendor package made wedding planning so much easier and I loved the vendors they recommended. Thalita was amazing on the day of and managed the day so perfectly! So many of my guests complemented on how friendly all the staff at Butternut was and they loved the food! I wish I could get married at Butternut all over again!

My husband, Zach, and I got married here at Butternut at the end of October 2023. We couldn’t be happier! The staff were amazing and very helpful at making the wedding planning process easier. We worked with Hope and Toni and they were both professional and easy to work with! The vendors Butternut recommends are top notch and we had a great experience with all of them - we used Mugfords for flowers, CZone for our DJ, and Tara Sullivan for Photography! We had peace of mind knowing that our vendors had experience at the venue. The grounds are beautiful and created a magical and unforgettable wedding day for us! The food was also delicious and everyone was pleased with how accommodating they are for dietary restrictions. We cannot recommend Butternut enough!

The Perfect Day!! Butternut's inclusive package made planning our wedding a breeze. Hope and Gerladina's professionalism and responsiveness also helped us never feel alone. My wife and I married at BFGC back in August 2023 and it was absolutely perfect! To start, everything that comes included with the packages at Butternut are top-notch! We used Mugfords for our flowers which were absolutely beautiful and everything my wife and I pictured. CZone Entertainment (specifically Charles!) absolutely rocked it and had people on the dance floor until the very end. The food was so good as well and the passed hors d'oeuvres were delicious. The included baker Diane Rockwell did an amazing job on the cake and the different layers that you can choose from were so good! Hope and Thalita were also amazing during this whole process. Right from the start of our tour of BFGC, Hope walked us through every amenity and perk with the venue, and from the start we knew that this was the venue we wanted. Thalita was amazing with all of her help and support months, weeks, and days leading up to our wedding. On our wedding day, she had everything set up perfectly and made sure that our special day went according to plan and that we were taken care of the whole night. With all of the things that are included with Butternut Farm, it is a no-brainer to have your wedding there! The venue, the golf course, and all of the picture opportunities at BFGC make it an absolute dream place. There is no other place that we could see us getting married at than Butternut Farm!!

We got married at BFGC on 8/12/23, and it was truly the best day ever! For starters, the all inclusive vendors made our life so much easier (we used C Zone entertainment and Diane Rockwell “The Cake Lady”), and they were excellent. We used Tara Sullivan as our wedding photographer off a recommended list- HIRE HER!!!!! Thalita was our day-of (and weeks leading up to it) coordinator, and she was wonderful! She was so accommodating, professional, and genuinely wanted us to have the best day ever. She was timely in response to questions and made me feel reassured throughout the stresses of wedding planning. She was always available by email. She helped to guide us on the day of, managed our time efficiently, and set up our venue with all of our decor that truly brought our wedding visions to life! The venue is gorgeous, the food was phenomenal, and the environment was picturesque! Such a great value for what you pay for! My husband also received a 4 player pass to golf at their lovely course. We loved our wedding venue & would highly recommend visiting!!

Perfection!! Our wedding day was perfect beyond what we could have imagined. The staff were all so helpful and accommodating. The ceremony area and reception hall were beautiful and spacious. The food was amazing! Cannot recommend Butternut Farm enough. Would not change a single thing about our special day!

Butternut Farm GC is an excellent all-in-one venue that will assist to alleviate the stress of planning every little detail for any couple. Hope, Toni, and the entire Butternut staff have their model planned to last detail to ensure your wedding runs smoothly. Our main coordinator, Toni, was phenomenal! The day before and especially the day of the wedding, she was coordinating wedding party, guests, and her team to help make our wedding day as stress free as possible. The Butternut team did a fabulous job of not only handling a last minute reset of all the chairs and arbor due to a rainstorm but also took care of packing up all the deliverables at the end of the night for us. Additionally, the staff was incredibly friendly throughout the whole event. All our guests have told us how amazing the venue and staff were!

If you're getting married - get married at BFGC! This was the first place out of about 8 places my now husband and I toured and after each tour, we kept going back to Butternut. The all-inclusive package with the beautiful venue and wonderful team made it an absolute no-brainer. They made the planning process so smooth and even accommodated several adjustments that came up along the way. The day of Geraldina was a rockstar- she made sure everything could run as smoothly as possible and we appreciate her and Hope so much for that.

Can’t thank Butternut Farms Golf Club for hosting our wedding. Would like to give a special shout out Thalita and Hope who truly made our day special and one we will never forget. From the moment we met Hope, toured the venue, and learned about their all inclusive package we were sold. Having the majority of our vendors made planing for the big day pretty much stress fee. When it finally came to the big day Thalita our wedding day coordinator was amazing, she was on top of everything, and made sure the timing, pace and flow of the day went accordingly. Which allowed us as the bride and groom to take it all in at times and truly enjoy the day. Can’t thank the enough for giving us the wedding of our dreams. Highly recommend using Butternut as your wedding venue.

I cannot say enough good things about Hope & Thalita at Butternut Farm. All of the vendors in their inclusive package were fantastic to work with and made the process so easy as a busy student living out of state! They were extremely transparent and easy to work with throughout the process and always answered my (many!) emails in a timely and helpful fashion. The weather ended up being not so great on our special day, but Thalita and her team went absolutely above and beyond to make our day perfect. I would HIGHLY recommend them to other couples and already have to my engaged friends! :)

Our wedding on 11/5/22 at Butternut was nothing short of amazing!! Thalita and Hope were so helpful and they are there every step of the way! They also had great recommendations for vendors, we loved that some were included in our package :) The venue was beautiful especially the outdoor ceremony and the golf course. It really was a night to remember, all our guests are still raving about about the food, drinks and amazing time months later. Hope, Colleen and the entire Butternut staff helped us pull off the most perfect wedding ever. Butternut is beautiful — our fall wedding was picturesque. Colleen helped me stay calm leading up and the day of the wedding. The food was phenomenal as well! Guests are raving about the food. I especially loved the inclusive package options — we went through Butternut for our cake and it was so good. We also found our amazing photographer thanks to Butternut. We absolutely loved Butternut Farms for our wedding and would HIGHLY recommend them, especially if you are planning a wedding from out of state like we were. Their all inclusive package where they had EVERYTHING and all we had to do was hire an outside photographer and hair/makeup made wedding planning enjoyable. We loved their attention to detail, the staff is phenomenal (especially Hope and Thalita), and very reasonably priced/customizable.

We had such an incredible experience working with Butternut Farm Golf Club, from the first time we saw the venue to leaving at the end of our wedding day. Butternut was the first venue we saw when we started looking, and each place that we looked at after did not compare. The inclusive vendor package made the planning process seamless and enjoyable. Not only were the vendors easy to work with through the package, they were all incredible and exceeded all of our expectations. Butternut was incredibly accommodating of our requests and were able to work with us to ensure all of our needs were met, including allowing our dog to come to the venue and be in a couple of pictures with us. After the wedding every guest we spoke to were very impressed with the outstanding service and the food that was served. We could not have picked a better venue or team to work with to celebrate our wedding!

It took months to find a place as special as Butternut. There are so many great choices for your wedding venue in eastern Massachusetts. We looked as far north as Gloucester and all the way down to Plymouth. Butternut had a lot of strengths over the other venues we visited. In no particular order we rated them highly on the following: 1) Reception and Ceremony are conveniently close for your guest. The Outdoor farmer porch cover and Indoor backup options are genius and beautiful. All handicap accessible with elevator access to reception upstairs. 2) Immaculate grounds for photographs. In Spring/Summer or Fall they have wonderful floral arrangements. 3) Ease of access for guest traveling to wedding. They are conveniently not sharing any parking with other businesses. Guest will have plenty of parking available ,which was a huge plus over places we looked at closer to Boston. We had no issues setting up a shuttle service to our hotel at Embassy Suites. It's a relief when you don't have to worry about guest hitting traffic! 4) Vendor's partner relationships - Over time Butternut has developed a well vetted vendor list and we loved each one. They all work together on delivering a most memorable experience for you and your loved ones. Their kitchen is fully dedicated to your event and not splitting time between a restaurant like so many other venues. Friends and family whom attended weddings at Butternut had mentioned their food was excellent and we wholeheartedly agree! 6) Butternut's staff and their wedding planners (Colleen!) are pros. They are constantly reaching out and will keep you in the loop on all the key decisions during the planning process. One thing that stood out was how thoughtful the staff at Butternut was in 2020 when we ultimately moved our wedding date. They invited us up on our original date and surprised us with a cake and bouquet as a thank you. Thank you Butternut! We loved every moment!

Perfection at Butternut Hope and Thalita were absolutely the best to work with when planning our wedding! Everything went so smoothly. All our wedding guests raved about the food, drinks and the service! We highly recommend Butternut!

We loved Butternut from the time we first walked in for our tour. The venue was absolutely beautiful and had so many options for where to spend your time during the celebration - rain or shine. We loved the octagonal room, the beautiful reception room, and the landscaping for photos. The covered porch is also a wonderful option in case it rains! We really appreciated the payment plan (and affordability!) for the wedding also - it made it possible to anticipate all of the costs in advance of the event, and we were able to pay everything a few days before the actual reception so that we didn't have any additional "surprise" costs. We also loved working with Thalita as a coordinator - she made the planning so easy and was a joy to be around on the day of when we were rushing off from photo op to dance to cake cutting to next photo op, etc. Finally, the food was delicious! We were worried because we didn't get to do a tasting (due to Covid restrictions), but every guest raved about how delicious the food was - which is pretty impressive when you are turning out 80 or so steaks at the same time! Thank you so much to Hope and her team for making our day beautiful, fun, and so easy to plan.

Hope, Erin, and the rest of the Butternut team are truly amazing people to work with. After touring the venue with Hope and hearing about the vendor inclusive package, choosing Butternut for our wedding was an easy decision. They made the whole process so seamless including navigating a postponement, continuous COVID guidelines changing, and a tropical storm on the wedding day! We did have to utilize the covered porch for our ceremony which is an added bonus to Butternut especially with the unpredictability of the weather on our day. It really put our minds at ease knowing we had an outdoor rain option and still had the same beautiful background. We chose the stuffed filet and stuffed chicken for our entrees and received so many wonderful reviews. They selected the most wonderful vendors to be a part of their inclusive package and we could not be happier we went with the package. Our guests had a wonderful time and we had our dream wedding!

We can not thank Hope, Erin and the rest of the Butternut staff enough for making our wedding the best day! When we were first looking for a venue and went to Butternut, we met Hope. She so friendly and made us feel welcome by telling us all about Butternut and answering all of our questions. After meeting her and seeing how beautiful the course was with the pond, the covered bridge and willow tree, we were sold! During the planning process, Erin was always responsive and extremely thoughtful with helping us plan all the details for the wedding day. She truly thought of everything and made up a great timeline for us to follow. On the day of the wedding, Erin's presence and attention to detail were exactly what we needed. She and her team set up all of the details in the room exactly how we imagined. She kept us on schedule and perfectly facilitated everything, starting with the ceremony all the way through the end of the reception. The servers and bartenders were attentive, the food was delicious and all of our guests had a great time! We couldn't be happier with our decision to have our wedding at Butternut and would highly recommend it to any couple looking for a venue!

Our wedding was literally everything I had hoped it would be!  The flowers were beautiful, the cake was delicious, the music was loud and perfect, and Hope and Erin are absolute life savers throughout the evening and throughthe planning process.  It was the BEST day of our lives!! My mom and uncle even said it was (unbiasedly) the best wedding they had ever been to.  How can you ask for anything other than that?! The staff at Butternut are the best!

Giving Butternut 5 stars was easy… they hosted our wedding this last weekend, and we had the time of our lives. I received phone calls and comments that the food was the best wedding food they’ve ever had, and the most smoothest run wedding they’ve been to. Just perfect! It’s been a long journey… COVID cancelled plans the first time around. We waited right up to the wire before changing the date and BNF was great to work with, super helpful, took suggestions, was always willing to listen, help, and do what it takes to make it happen. They stuck it out and was 100% fully committed. Colleen and Hope were great to work with, and we were so lucky to also get Erin on our wedding day to help out!

I had the absolute time of my LIFE!!! Everything went so smoothly. Everyone was so helpful all through the night. I could not have dreamt of a better experience! Gorgeous venue, amazing people. We could not be happier with our choice.

This venue was so perfect - everything set up perfectly, the food was AMAZING, the coordinators and staff were so kind and helpful, and the entire venue was just so beautiful and we could not have been happier with Butternut as our choice! We couldn't have done it without you, thank you Butternut!

Butternut Farm was the perfect venue partner for our wedding. Hope and her team continuously supported us through the entire process, especially as we adapted to the changing COVID guidelines. They helped us select our vendor team, plan for the event, and executed it flawlessly on that day. Due to the pandemic, we changed our original wedding plan to a fourteen person microwedding and Butternut Farm made it extremely special for us and our families. We are especially thankful to Butternut Farm for pairing us with our talented and committed event coordinator Chrissie Sue. She and Hope made our day perfect in every way! Our outdoor ceremony was magical as the backdrop of the golf course makes it the picture perfect location. The hors d’oeuvres and dinner were delicious and the service was fantastic from start to finish. We highly recommend Hope and Butternut Farm to anybody looking for a wedding venue!

This venue was everything we expected and more! We actually ended up getting married a year earlier than we had planned to because of their all inclusive package. This package included so many things: cake, flowers, DJ, food, beverages and more! I instantly felt less stressed after meeting with Hope and learning about this package. Hope, Erin and Linn were all awesome to work with and were very responsive. The venue itself is gorgeous! We knew we wanted to get married on a golf course, BFGC was our third and final venue tour. Our day was perfect, I would recommend Butternut time and time again!

The thought of planning a wedding was overwhelming to us and this package was something different that we hadn’t seen at any other venues and created a lot less work for us as we planned our wedding. My husband and I chose Butternut after a lot of online research of sites and after seeing a couple other places. We could tell it was our venue after touring the site with Hope. She and the beautiful site sold us, and we could not have made a better choice! Hope and Erin truly make the wedding process a breeze. They are pros who have done this for years and work so well together. They are so on top of all the details, big and small. The site is gorgeous, food is great and prices are so reasonable for what you get! I must have asked Erin 1,000 questions in the last few months and she was always so sweet and willing to help and never made me feel like I was asking too many questions. They truly take care of you and know what they are doing at Butternut. Highly highly recommend!

There is not enough to say!! WOWWWWW!!! All of my family and friends agree just Wowww!! The most amazing venue and staff I want to cry just writing this!! From the first meeting Hope made us feel like family! She was understanding and helpful in the planning process. She gave her opinion where necessary... and she didn’t steer us wrong. The day of the event Erin and Linn were awesome! I know there were some hiccups... people showed up that didn’t RSVP.... but they never said a word. They just handled it. My wedding was magical and they played a huge part in it. I can’t thank them enough!

Christian and I can't thank you, Hope, and the staff enough for everything. When we first saw Butternut, Hope was so warm and welcoming, and answered all of our questions. Looking at the photos beforehand, I fell in love with Butternut, but after walking around and talking with Hope we knew very quickly that this is where we wanted to get married. You both have made everything so easy for us, with emails and meetings that we have had, I was sure everything was going to be perfect with the help of you two- and it was! Since we first met you Erin, you have been on top of everything. You made our wedding day so perfect, everything was exactly how we wanted it! We were able to be worry free and enjoy the day and have so much fun. We keep hearing from our guests that it is the best wedding they have been to :) Everyone loved the venue and the food, and the staff was great!!! From our first meeting with Hope, we knew that Butternut Farms Golf Course was the venue for us. The packages that they offered were exactly what we needed and enabled us to pull off the wedding of our dreams without going over budget. The vendors included with the packages were of the highest quality, and the peace of mind that comes from having settled the vendor question so early in the process was very comforting. However, it was the people at Butternut that really sold us on this venue. Hope made us feel right at home from our first interaction. She was incredibly responsive with questions, keeping on top of small details, and made the whole process enjoyable. Lynn was a wonderful coordinator, and I don’t think we could have been so successful with our reception if not for her help and support. She and Erin made sure that the ceremony was on-time, worked with our photographer to get all the pictures we wanted (including the covered bridge shot we really wanted), and orchestrated the reception so well that we even had time to eat our full meals! Both Lynn and Erin were always present, but they were never obtrusive. I don’t know how we would have made our special day without their help. If you are getting married, there is no better place than Butternut Farms. I cannot recommend them enough and will continue to tell any friends or relatives currently engaged or planning on doing so in the future that they cannot go wrong with Butternut. They make everything connected to the venue simple, easy, and affordable, so you can enjoy your big day!

Choosing Butternut Farm as our wedding venue was easily one of the best decisions we ever made. From the very beginning, Hope and Erin made us feel at ease and confident that our day would be all that we imagined. Upon our initial meeting, unlike other potential wedding venues, they never put pressure on us or made us feel like an afterthought. You could immediately tell they were a close knit family-run business that would treat us as one of their own. Their caring, genuine demeanors and passion for both their work and the brides and grooms they work with was a huge reason our day turned out so successfully. From the beginning, Hope was extremely helpful and quick to respond to our many questions during the planning process. Erin ran the entire wedding day and night professionally and worked so well with all of our vendors. We never once had to worry about any detail whatsoever, and if there were any issues at all we gladly did not know about them. We were instantly sold on the venue's ideal location and gorgeous scenery and decor. It had a very intimate feel, while still providing ample room for our guests to mingle, eat, and dance the night away. Our guests could not stop raving about the beauty, decor, and cozy feel of the property, as well as the outstanding food and highly attentive wait staff. We were so well taken care of and we truly felt special due to the many months of dedication and hard work of Hope, Erin, and the entire Butternut Farm staff. We would recommend Butternut in a heartbeat, and are so fortunate that they left such a lasting imprint on our lives.

We could not have asked for a better wedding venue! Hope and Erin were so wonderful and easy to work with, they were able to make our dream wedding possible! The day of the wedding we moved the chairs from the grass area to under the deck and it worked out well..a good alternative to still having an outdoor ceremony if the weather is bad. This was one of the first places that got me to stop scrolling and actually look into their options. The grounds are perfect. There's a wooded and secluded feel to it. There's a pond and a covered bridge. So many amazing and diverse picture opportunities! Hope and Erin are so awesome to work with, they are quick to email/call back with answers to any question you can think of. They are true professionals! If anything went wrong on my wedding day, I didn't know about it and I definitely didn't notice! They took a lot of the stress away and helped make this the best day of our lives. Upon first visiting the venue, my husband and I fell in love! It is beautiful and we were blessed to have such amazing weather on our special day. Hope and Erin were amazing and a pleasure to work with!

Where do I even begin with this review? Butternut Farm will always have a special place in our hearts. We toured about four different venues for our wedding. When we stepped into Butternut we knew it was our venue. Hope is so friendly and does an amazing job helping you to imagine what your wedding will look like on their beautiful grounds. She was easy to talk to and always quick to respond to my emails. When my mom got really sick about a year before our wedding, Hope took time to take us on another tour so my mom would get a chance to see our venue. Butternut was set up for a wedding the day we toured and it was absolutely gorgeous. The ballroom is spacious and has PLENTY of room for dancing. The octagonal room is so unique and the perfect spot for cocktail hour (It was also the spot that our photographer was able to take one of our favorite pictures-- with every single person that was a part of our wedding). There is also a porch that overlooks the beautiful grounds. We knew we wanted an outdoor ceremony and Butternut delivers with a gorgeous backdrop. Weather is one of the things you can't control in your wedding planning process. BUT don't fear. Butternut's backup plans work just as well. In fact-- it was one of the biggest reasons we picked it. When the wedding planning process gets really real, Hope passes you off to Erin -- who is equally amazing. Together you plan your detailing meeting and you see your vision coming to life. Fast forward to the day of. Erin is right there helping everything to go off with out a hitch. I did not have ANY worries. Our guests raved about the food, it is some of the BEST wedding food you will ever have. We made sure we took our time to enjoy it as well. Our family and friends continue to tell us it was one of the best weddings they have been to, and we have the entire STAFF at Butternut Farm to thank for that.

Working with Hope and Erin was one of the best experiences we have ever had; they are both attentive, warm, welcoming, and so easy to work with. We knew from the moment we stepped into the venue that it was the place for us. From start to finish, it was a flawless process and the staff truly made our wedding even better than we could've imagined. We will forever be grateful!

Butternut was going to be our venue from the moment we initially saw it back in January. It was everything we envisioned; from having a water view, to having a covered bridge for pictures. The venue and staff were top notch! Erin and Hope were amazing at answering any questions that came up during the months leading up to our wedding. My only criticism is that while I can appreciate the timeline, Erin was a little forceful with my grandmother and my husbands father, who both suffer from Alzheimers. They were getting confused with all of the hustle and bustle and I think it would have better received to have taken a few more moments of gentle guidance to make them feel at ease with everything going on around them. Otherwise, I have nothing else negative to say. If I had choose again, I would still choose Butternut Farm as my venue.

Hope and Erin were absolutely the best! Hope and Erin, thank you both so much for making our wedding day stress free and run so smoothly - it was absolutely magical. All of our guests were raving about the food, service, and the venue. Despite the nor’easter we had, no one noticed what was going on, as it was a totally different atmosphere inside. Everything was incredible and we highly recommend Butternut Farm Golf Club to others! We truly appreciate you and your staff for being so helpful and accommodating to my mothers needs, as she does have extreme anxiety and it was a HUGE step for her being there for as long as she was. From making sure she had chairs in places along the way, water, and was comfortable made her and I so happy and we appreciate that so much. All the best & thank you again!

Butternut did an amazing job on our wedding! Everything was perfect. Food was delicious and everyone had such a great time. Everything looked so beautiful. The grounds are so nice for photos and an outside ceremony there is perfect!

Hope and Erin are a wonderful team and made it so easy to plan our wedding. Hope gives you a wonderful introduction to Butternut Farms which is truly a beautiful site! We loved that our guests could watch our bridal photos being taken as they had hors’ deurves in the octagon room. We especially loved that the place had lots of natural light! So many venues seemed to lack that when we were looking around. After touring with Hope once, we knew this was the place for our reception. Our event would be the only one of the day (so important to us!) and the venue itself is nestled in the woods with a beautiful pond and just felt so peaceful! The day of our wedding, Erin helped us so much in organizing our large wedding party of 18. And she did so much behind the scenes to work with our photographer, DJ, and several friends who helped organize our decor and flowers. She provided us with a helpful timeline and really helped us get through tricky tasks like seating arrangements. They are truly a wonderful team that I would recommend to all!

We got married in May at Butternut Farm and everything from start to finish was just fantastic. The whole planning process was great and stress free Hope and Erin were so on top of it, it made me so much more relaxed knowing that everything regarding the venue and coordination with vendors was taken care of. We had our ceremony offsite so when our guests arrived earlier than the cocktail our they were taken to the bar area where they could get some drinks. Erin was waiting for us and kept track of the time so we would stay on our very detailed timeline. Everything went great, everyone loved the food and drinks it was fantastic. Everyone raved about how beautiful the venue was and well taken care of. We are so glad we found Butternut farm and so greatful to Erin and Hope for putting together the perfect day, we did not want it to end! I would definitely recommend this venue to everyone. Also our pictures came out fantastic and it was raining that day!

Butternut Farm Golf Club made our day absolutely INCREDIBLE (and stress free!) We had a beautiful sun filled ceremony on the first hole at the end of June and then a blast of a reception indoors directly after. We never left the dance-floor! It was truly more than we could have asked for. Erin and Hope at Butternut are unbelievably organized and have everything down to a science so we could relax and go with the flow from booking to planning to the actual day itself. Erin is the most hardworking person in the wedding industry I've ever witnessed in my life; and the sweetest! She knows this business inside and out. Her attention to detail and the timing of each item she schedules for you is nothing like I've seen before. If you're looking to dodge the stress of renting tables, chairs, tents, caterers, and all things that cause the stress of planning a wedding (that we personally did NOT want to deal with) then Butternut is the place for your big day! We just had to choose a photographer, a florist, a bakery for our cake, and a DJ, the rest was all Butternut. Their food and drinks were delicious, from cocktail hour to dinner everyone was satisfied and full. The staff was SO nice and had impeccable presence every step of the way as well. For such an important milestone, Butternut's venue and staff blew us away on our big day, one we will never forget.

From the minute we sat down with Hope at Butternut we had nothing but an amazing experience and loved everything about Butternut. Together Hope and Erin make an incredible team. They are extremely nice as well as professional- I feel I always received answers to my emails on the same day which was a dream come true. You get more for your money at Butternut and you will not be disappointed at all. They go above and beyond to make sure you have the wedding of your dreams. All of our guests loved the food at our wedding and thought every staff member was polite and helpful as well. I am so happy with how everything turned out on our wedding and wouldn't change a thing at all due to how amazing Butternut was.

The perfect venue! We had such a positive experience from start to finish with each member of the Butternut Farm staff. From our initial visit we were so impressed with the beautiful grounds and views as well as the professionalism and warmth of the staff. Hope was so wonderful to work with on the business and planning end, and made planning a wedding from out of state a "piece of cake." We definitely felt like everyone was willing to do whatever they could to make our special day everything we imagined. The actual day of the wedding, Erin, the wedding coordinator, was just a wave away for whatever we or our families needed. Our friends and family loved the food and commented on how attentive the servers were. Overall we felt like this venue had awesome value and would definitely recommend it to any couple.

This family run business does everything they can to make your dream wedding come true. In addition to the staff, they also offer an amazing wedding and reception venue. Out of the top six venues that I visited Butternut had the most to offer with their space. Butternut Farm has so many areas for people to enjoy eachothers company and still be involved with the festivities. You really need to see this venue in person to understand how much it can add to helping you create the perfect wedding. Besides the staff and physically venue being extraordinary, the food was incredible!!! We had the stuffed chicken and roasted sirloin as our two entrees and everyone loved these choices. I have never been so happy with wedding food! Lastly, all of our family and friends are still telling us how they have never been to a better wedding than ours. Hope and Erin were amazing! The venue itself is beautiful and everything we wanted for our wedding. They were helpful throughout the entire process and were always quick to answer all emails. The food was delicious and the wait staff were so nice. I would have my wedding here all of again and highly recommend!

From the moment we first viewed Butternut, we knew it was the place we wanted to get married at. The venue is gorgeous, food was delicious and the staff was awesome! Erin was so attentive and always 5 steps ahead of everyone else, making sure we all knew exactly what to do and when. I cannot thank her enough! We were so happy choosing Butternut farm for our Oct 28th wedding reception. Butternut farm was everything we could have imagined and more! From the start of planning, Erin and Hope were responsive, detail-oriented, and thoughtful. We had a perfect fall wedding with beautiful grounds and porches decorated with seasonal flowers and arrangements. The reception hall was gorgeous with the fireplace going throughout the evening. We have continuously heard from family and friends how impressed they were with the food and service. We cannot thank Butternut enough for being the absolute best wedding venue!

I'll start by saying I could not imagine enjoying our wedding half as much as we did if it had been anywhere else, and that besides choosing each other, choosing Butternut Farm was the best choice my husband and I made in wedding planning! My now-husband and I looked at probably 2 dozen venues before we decided where to have our wedding in the fall of 2017, but from the minute we walked into Butternut Farm Golf Club we both agreed it was perfect for us. From the first day we toured the venue, Hope made both us and our families feel welcomed, comfortable, and as though our wedding was as important in her mind as it was in ours! She was kind enough to show us around not once but twice, on two separate occasions, both to make sure both of our parents got to see our choice and to be sure we got to see the ceremony space and Heritage room set up for groups of different sizes and with different layouts. The space in the Heritage Room is gorgeous set up for both big and small groups, and allowed plenty of room for mingling, plus the grounds at Butternut are incredible from the pond to the green where they host ceremonies – I loved that the porches and outdoor spaces are decorated seasonally, which was one less detail I had to worry about! Butternut Farm is a family run venue, and through the whole process of planning your event they treat you like a part of their family. Closer to our wedding, Erin took over the detailing and coordination of our big day, and I can’t say enough good things about how patient and organized she is, or about how she went above and beyond to address every detail of our event. She even went so far as to arrange for the Food & Beverage manager to bring in my dad’s favorite beer, which isn’t normally on their menu. She patiently fielded dozens of questions from me, my husband and my mother, and as a completely Type-A bride I had to admire how organized she is. From the menu to the décor to the timeline of the day, she seemed to anticipate everything I wanted, and helped me fill in the gaps of some details I hadn’t even considered. By the time our day arrived, I knew beyond a doubt that every detail was taken care of and that the event was in excellent hands. I expected to be stressed with last minute issues but she handled everything like an expert before I was even aware what was happening. She even personally made sure my husband and I had fresh drinks in our hand and plates of appetizers while we mingled, and kept our dinner plates warm until we were done greeting guests. Our friends and family have been raving about our wedding for the last five months, from how amazing the food was to how professional and friendly the bartenders and wait staff were. Everyone felt taken care of, and there was nothing more we could have wanted for our guests on our big day!

From the day we first toured Butternut to our wedding day, Hope and Erin were fantastic. They were extremely responsive, professional, detail-oriented, and above all, passionate about what they do. They made us feel like we were their only clients. Our wedding day was the best day of our lives thanks in part to Hope and Erin’s dedication and diligence. The day and evening could not have been more magical. Hope and Erin are also very easy to work with and have a wealth of knowledge on wedding planning and logistics, which is such a wonderful resource to have. We can’t thank Hope and Erin enough for their time, attention, and dedication to our special day.

My husband and I are so happy we had our reception at Butternut Farm golf club!! Hope & Erin were so kind, thorough, thoughtful and helpful during our several meetings and the countless emails we sent to them. Our reception was gorgeous in the heritage room! We were able to have a jazz band for our cocktail hour which our guests loved, a photo booth tucked behind the fireplace which added so much fun for us and our guests and ample space after dinner in the octagonal room for the platters of Greek desserts as well as three flavors of delicious cake we had. Erin made sure that everything went off without a hitch, kept everything organized and on time and made sure my husband and I wanted for nothing all evening. We are so thankful and appreciative for our wedding experience at Butternut and we have gorgeous photos we took on the grounds that we will treasure forever to remind us of the wonderful start of our life together.

Butternut Farm Golf Club, exceeded any expectation both myself and my husband could have imagined. From the help both Hope and Erin provided us from the beginning, and the day of our wedding, everything was perfect. The staff was fantastic and very attentive, and the venue was gorgeous.
