We could not have asked for a more beautiful or seamless wedding day than the one we had at Butternut Farm Golf Club. From the moment we first visited the venue, we were blown away by the stunning setting—the covered bridge, peaceful pond, and the picturesque golf course created the perfect backdrop for our ceremony and photos. The Heritage Room is elegant, spacious, and filled with natural light. It flowed perfectly with the cocktail lounge and outdoor terrace, which our guests absolutely loved. The views during sunset were especially magical. What truly set Butternut apart was the staff. Our coordinators Hope and Thalita were incredibly responsive and attentive throughout the planning process. On the day of the wedding, everything ran so smoothly—we didn’t have to worry about a thing. We chose the vendor-inclusive package, which simplified everything and connected us with fantastic vendors (DJ, florist, & cake) who were all familiar with the venue. The food was another highlight—delicious, beautifully presented, and well-accommodated for dietary needs. If you're looking for a venue that offers gorgeous views, a warm and experienced team, and an organized planning experience, we highly recommend Butternut Farm Golf Club. We had our wedding here in June 2025 and everything was great! The food was great and multiple of our guests said this as well. We used the inclusive vendors (DJ, florist, officiant, and cake) and everything was so easy with them. Hope and her team are very professional and are always happy to answer any questions. The venue itself is beautiful and had everything we needed! I would recommend this venue to future couples!

We had a great experience with Butternut for our wedding! The venue is beautiful and the inclusive vendors (DJ, cake, florist) made planning much easier. The day went seamlessly and the staff were all very helpful in making that happen! Our guests had nothing but good things to say about the food which we were very pleased with as well! DJ Paul from C-Zone was excellent- us and our guests had a great time out on the dance floor! We truly had the best wedding day we could have imagined and we are very happy that we chose Butternut!

I can't say enough good things about this incredible venue. My wedding day was absolutely perfect. Butternut Farm made it so incredibly easy with their inclusive vendors. All I had to do was pick my music, colors, flowers, and cake flavors. The food was amazing and everything went so flawlessly, even with a little rain! The package comes with a wedding planner as well. Mine was Toni and she was fantastic!! No detail was left out. She made the day exactly how I had dreamed about and my guests had the time of their lives! I highly recommend using them for your special day. It will save you time, money, and stress!! Don't think twice!!

Butternut made our dream wedding come true. Their vendor inclusive package made planning so easy and all their vendors are top notch and easy to work with. The venue is beautiful and food is excellent, our guests were all talking about how delicious it was. It was very important to us to have a good rain backup plan; it did rain on our wedding day and their covered porch made our dreams come true with an outdoor wedding despite the weather. We cannot recommend Butternut enough.

I had my ceremony and reception at Butternut Farm Golf Club, and it was beautiful! Hope and Toni were great to work with. They were super responsive if I had any questions. The food was delicious! The room that the reception is held in is nice and big with a large dance floor. There is also a large bar and a beautiful room for cocktail hour! The day of, Toni was amazing. She kept me calm and kept things running smoothly! She also took pictures that she sent me after the wedding which was great since we didn’t get the professional photos back for a few weeks. There is a super cute wagon in the front that was decorated for the season. My wedding there was perfect!! I would 100% recommend Butternut as a venue!

This venue was a dream! They made out the planning of our wedding easy and the reception was seamless especially when it poured rain our day! The inclusive package made it easy to find vendors too. Many of our guests raved about the whole experience especially the DJ and cake. Could not recommend a better place to celebrate a wedding rain or shine!

We had an absolutely wonderful wedding at Butternut this past year! We originally chose butternut for a couple of reasons: 1. The all inclusive vendor options. We both knew that despite planning our wedding several years in advance we would have limited time to research and coordinate several different vendors, especially as the date got closer. With Butternut, it's one stop for everything we needed! It was so easy to be able to have everything ready to go! 2. The venue is beautiful! We recently got our photos back from the photographer and everyone keeps commenting on the "gorgeous foliage" and "beautiful" view of the ceremony space. Now that we have had the wedding, I can say we had a great experience for another several reasons: 1. Our day-of coordinator was fantastic! Responsive to all our needs and requests and great attention to detail. She was great to work with and fun to have directing us on the wedding day! 2. The recommended vendors were fantastic! We loved our DJ, the cake was beautiful and the flowers we had were exactly what we hoped for. 3. It was an overall perfect day! Everything we had hoped for and more, we are so happy we chose Butternut!

We got married at Butternut on Saturday 8/3/24 and it was everything we dreamed of! beautiful day with family and friends that was seamless with the help of Toni and Hope. Working with you both was an absolute pleasure and we truly appreciate everything you did for us during our wedding planning process and the big day! We had absolutely no stress, and were able to enjoy. Thank you Toni and Hope! We love Butternut always and my husband will certainly be back to golf on the beautiful course!

Butternut farm was a beautiful venue and perfect for my husband and I. It offered a scenic ceremony on the golf course, with the ability to be flexible in the event of rain. They had an amazing space for the reception allowing you to be both indoors and outdoors. The affordable package that had the ability to involve the florist, cake, and DJ for the reception made things so much easier as well. The vendors we utilized through them did not disappoint either. Thalita was assigned to our wedding and she made sure our vision for the day became a reality. Guests were so happy with the whole day and made sure to say repeatedly what an amazing time they had attending. Highly recommend working with this venue.

I loved having my wedding at Butternut! The location is absolutely beautiful! Hope and Thalita made sure my wedding what exactly what I pictured. Hope answered my emails quickly and was helpful through the process. The inclusive vendor package made wedding planning so much easier and I loved the vendors they recommended. Thalita was amazing on the day of and managed the day so perfectly! So many of my guests complemented on how friendly all the staff at Butternut was and they loved the food! I wish I could get married at Butternut all over again!

My wife and I married at BFGC back in August 2023 and it was absolutely perfect! To start, everything that comes included with the packages at Butternut are top-notch! We used Mugfords for our flowers which were absolutely beautiful and everything my wife and I pictured. CZone Entertainment (specifically Charles!) absolutely rocked it and had people on the dance floor until the very end. The food was so good as well and the passed hors d'oeuvres were delicious. The included baker Diane Rockwell did an amazing job on the cake and the different layers that you can choose from were so good! Hope and Thalita were also amazing during this whole process. Right from the start of our tour of BFGC, Hope walked us through every amenity and perk with the venue, and from the start we knew that this was the venue we wanted. Thalita was amazing with all of her help and support months, weeks, and days leading up to our wedding. On our wedding day, she had everything set up perfectly and made sure that our special day went according to plan and that we were taken care of the whole night. With all of the things that are included with Butternut Farm, it is a no-brainer to have your wedding there! The venue, the golf course, and all of the picture opportunities at BFGC make it an absolute dream place. There is no other place that we could see us getting married at than Butternut Farm!!

Perfection!! Our wedding day was perfect beyond what we could have imagined. The staff were all so helpful and accommodating. The ceremony area and reception hall were beautiful and spacious. The food was amazing! Cannot recommend Butternut Farm enough. Would not change a single thing about our special day!

Butternut Farm GC is an excellent all-in-one venue that will assist to alleviate the stress of planning every little detail for any couple. Hope, Toni, and the entire Butternut staff have their model planned to last detail to ensure your wedding runs smoothly. Our main coordinator, Toni, was phenomenal! The day before and especially the day of the wedding, she was coordinating wedding party, guests, and her team to help make our wedding day as stress free as possible. The Butternut team did a fabulous job of not only handling a last minute reset of all the chairs and arbor due to a rainstorm but also took care of packing up all the deliverables at the end of the night for us. Additionally, the staff was incredibly friendly throughout the whole event. All our guests have told us how amazing the venue and staff were!

Can’t thank Butternut Farms Golf Club for hosting our wedding. Would like to give a special shout out Thalita and Hope who truly made our day special and one we will never forget. From the moment we met Hope, toured the venue, and learned about their all inclusive package we were sold. Having the majority of our vendors made planing for the big day pretty much stress fee. When it finally came to the big day Thalita our wedding day coordinator was amazing, she was on top of everything, and made sure the timing, pace and flow of the day went accordingly. Which allowed us as the bride and groom to take it all in at times and truly enjoy the day. Can’t thank the enough for giving us the wedding of our dreams. Highly recommend using Butternut as your wedding venue.

I cannot say enough good things about Hope & Thalita at Butternut Farm. All of the vendors in their inclusive package were fantastic to work with and made the process so easy as a busy student living out of state! They were extremely transparent and easy to work with throughout the process and always answered my (many!) emails in a timely and helpful fashion. The weather ended up being not so great on our special day, but Thalita and her team went absolutely above and beyond to make our day perfect. I would HIGHLY recommend them to other couples and already have to my engaged friends! :)

Our wedding on 11/5/22 at Butternut was nothing short of amazing!! Thalita and Hope were so helpful and they are there every step of the way! They also had great recommendations for vendors, we loved that some were included in our package :) The venue was beautiful especially the outdoor ceremony and the golf course. It really was a night to remember, all our guests are still raving about about the food, drinks and amazing time months later. Hope, Colleen and the entire Butternut staff helped us pull off the most perfect wedding ever. Butternut is beautiful — our fall wedding was picturesque. Colleen helped me stay calm leading up and the day of the wedding. The food was phenomenal as well! Guests are raving about the food. I especially loved the inclusive package options — we went through Butternut for our cake and it was so good. We also found our amazing photographer thanks to Butternut. We absolutely loved Butternut Farms for our wedding and would HIGHLY recommend them, especially if you are planning a wedding from out of state like we were. Their all inclusive package where they had EVERYTHING and all we had to do was hire an outside photographer and hair/makeup made wedding planning enjoyable. We loved their attention to detail, the staff is phenomenal (especially Hope and Thalita), and very reasonably priced/customizable.

We had such an incredible experience working with Butternut Farm Golf Club, from the first time we saw the venue to leaving at the end of our wedding day. Butternut was the first venue we saw when we started looking, and each place that we looked at after did not compare. The inclusive vendor package made the planning process seamless and enjoyable. Not only were the vendors easy to work with through the package, they were all incredible and exceeded all of our expectations. Butternut was incredibly accommodating of our requests and were able to work with us to ensure all of our needs were met, including allowing our dog to come to the venue and be in a couple of pictures with us. After the wedding every guest we spoke to were very impressed with the outstanding service and the food that was served. We could not have picked a better venue or team to work with to celebrate our wedding!

It took months to find a place as special as Butternut. There are so many great choices for your wedding venue in eastern Massachusetts. We looked as far north as Gloucester and all the way down to Plymouth. Butternut had a lot of strengths over the other venues we visited. In no particular order we rated them highly on the following: 1) Reception and Ceremony are conveniently close for your guest. The Outdoor farmer porch cover and Indoor backup options are genius and beautiful. All handicap accessible with elevator access to reception upstairs. 2) Immaculate grounds for photographs. In Spring/Summer or Fall they have wonderful floral arrangements. 3) Ease of access for guest traveling to wedding. They are conveniently not sharing any parking with other businesses. Guest will have plenty of parking available ,which was a huge plus over places we looked at closer to Boston. We had no issues setting up a shuttle service to our hotel at Embassy Suites. It's a relief when you don't have to worry about guest hitting traffic! 4) Vendor's partner relationships - Over time Butternut has developed a well vetted vendor list and we loved each one. They all work together on delivering a most memorable experience for you and your loved ones. Their kitchen is fully dedicated to your event and not splitting time between a restaurant like so many other venues. Friends and family whom attended weddings at Butternut had mentioned their food was excellent and we wholeheartedly agree! 6) Butternut's staff and their wedding planners (Colleen!) are pros. They are constantly reaching out and will keep you in the loop on all the key decisions during the planning process. One thing that stood out was how thoughtful the staff at Butternut was in 2020 when we ultimately moved our wedding date. They invited us up on our original date and surprised us with a cake and bouquet as a thank you. Thank you Butternut! We loved every moment!

Perfection at Butternut Hope and Thalita were absolutely the best to work with when planning our wedding! Everything went so smoothly. All our wedding guests raved about the food, drinks and the service! We highly recommend Butternut!

We loved Butternut from the time we first walked in for our tour. The venue was absolutely beautiful and had so many options for where to spend your time during the celebration - rain or shine. We loved the octagonal room, the beautiful reception room, and the landscaping for photos. The covered porch is also a wonderful option in case it rains! We really appreciated the payment plan (and affordability!) for the wedding also - it made it possible to anticipate all of the costs in advance of the event, and we were able to pay everything a few days before the actual reception so that we didn't have any additional "surprise" costs. We also loved working with Thalita as a coordinator - she made the planning so easy and was a joy to be around on the day of when we were rushing off from photo op to dance to cake cutting to next photo op, etc. Finally, the food was delicious! We were worried because we didn't get to do a tasting (due to Covid restrictions), but every guest raved about how delicious the food was - which is pretty impressive when you are turning out 80 or so steaks at the same time! Thank you so much to Hope and her team for making our day beautiful, fun, and so easy to plan.

Hope, Erin, and the rest of the Butternut team are truly amazing people to work with. After touring the venue with Hope and hearing about the vendor inclusive package, choosing Butternut for our wedding was an easy decision. They made the whole process so seamless including navigating a postponement, continuous COVID guidelines changing, and a tropical storm on the wedding day! We did have to utilize the covered porch for our ceremony which is an added bonus to Butternut especially with the unpredictability of the weather on our day. It really put our minds at ease knowing we had an outdoor rain option and still had the same beautiful background. We chose the stuffed filet and stuffed chicken for our entrees and received so many wonderful reviews. They selected the most wonderful vendors to be a part of their inclusive package and we could not be happier we went with the package. Our guests had a wonderful time and we had our dream wedding!

We can not thank Hope, Erin and the rest of the Butternut staff enough for making our wedding the best day! When we were first looking for a venue and went to Butternut, we met Hope. She so friendly and made us feel welcome by telling us all about Butternut and answering all of our questions. After meeting her and seeing how beautiful the course was with the pond, the covered bridge and willow tree, we were sold! During the planning process, Erin was always responsive and extremely thoughtful with helping us plan all the details for the wedding day. She truly thought of everything and made up a great timeline for us to follow. On the day of the wedding, Erin's presence and attention to detail were exactly what we needed. She and her team set up all of the details in the room exactly how we imagined. She kept us on schedule and perfectly facilitated everything, starting with the ceremony all the way through the end of the reception. The servers and bartenders were attentive, the food was delicious and all of our guests had a great time! We couldn't be happier with our decision to have our wedding at Butternut and would highly recommend it to any couple looking for a venue!

Our wedding was literally everything I had hoped it would be!  The flowers were beautiful, the cake was delicious, the music was loud and perfect, and Hope and Erin are absolute life savers throughout the evening and throughthe planning process.  It was the BEST day of our lives!! My mom and uncle even said it was (unbiasedly) the best wedding they had ever been to.  How can you ask for anything other than that?! The staff at Butternut are the best!

Giving Butternut 5 stars was easy… they hosted our wedding this last weekend, and we had the time of our lives. I received phone calls and comments that the food was the best wedding food they’ve ever had, and the most smoothest run wedding they’ve been to. Just perfect! It’s been a long journey… COVID cancelled plans the first time around. We waited right up to the wire before changing the date and BNF was great to work with, super helpful, took suggestions, was always willing to listen, help, and do what it takes to make it happen. They stuck it out and was 100% fully committed. Colleen and Hope were great to work with, and we were so lucky to also get Erin on our wedding day to help out!

I had the absolute time of my LIFE!!! Everything went so smoothly. Everyone was so helpful all through the night. I could not have dreamt of a better experience! Gorgeous venue, amazing people. We could not be happier with our choice.

This venue was so perfect - everything set up perfectly, the food was AMAZING, the coordinators and staff were so kind and helpful, and the entire venue was just so beautiful and we could not have been happier with Butternut as our choice! We couldn't have done it without you, thank you Butternut!

Butternut Farm was the perfect venue partner for our wedding. Hope and her team continuously supported us through the entire process, especially as we adapted to the changing COVID guidelines. They helped us select our vendor team, plan for the event, and executed it flawlessly on that day. Due to the pandemic, we changed our original wedding plan to a fourteen person microwedding and Butternut Farm made it extremely special for us and our families. We are especially thankful to Butternut Farm for pairing us with our talented and committed event coordinator Chrissie Sue. She and Hope made our day perfect in every way! Our outdoor ceremony was magical as the backdrop of the golf course makes it the picture perfect location. The hors d’oeuvres and dinner were delicious and the service was fantastic from start to finish. We highly recommend Hope and Butternut Farm to anybody looking for a wedding venue!

This venue was everything we expected and more! We actually ended up getting married a year earlier than we had planned to because of their all inclusive package. This package included so many things: cake, flowers, DJ, food, beverages and more! I instantly felt less stressed after meeting with Hope and learning about this package. Hope, Erin and Linn were all awesome to work with and were very responsive. The venue itself is gorgeous! We knew we wanted to get married on a golf course, BFGC was our third and final venue tour. Our day was perfect, I would recommend Butternut time and time again!

We got married at Butternut Farm Golf Club in the fall of 2019 and we could not have picked a better venue. Hope, Erin, and all of the staff were very professional, responsive, and so well organized which made the wedding planning process so much easier than we ever could have imagined. The thought of planning a wedding was overwhelming to us and this package was something different that we hadn’t seen at any other venues and created a lot less work for us as we planned our wedding. Erin, Hope and the rest of the staff handled everything for us on our wedding day, allowing us to truly enjoy ourselves.
