Incredible music and high energy levels! We loved dancing to their music, and were also able to chat comfortably without it being overwhelming. 10/10 reccomend!

Unbelievably good performance at the reception. The songs were well-chosen and well-performed, and the bands’ energy didn’t flag once. Lost track of the amount of compliments people had for them, the music and dancing outshone anything I could’ve expected. Giving them five stars only because I can’t give any more.

Buzz and the Blue Cats were amazing! We had them for our Texas Wedding Reception and they kept people on the dance floor all night with a variety of songs. They even went through the effort of learning our more obscure first dance song - which meant the world to us. Couldn't recommend them more!

Buzz was very organized, on time and professional! Traveled from Austin to Houston. They even had connections for a pianist to play during my ceremony for a great rate. We had a packed dance floor the entire time (even for a Covid wedding). All ages were dancing. Highly recommend!

At the reception the first thing every guest said to me was, “The band is AMAZING!” And they really were! Everyone loved them and had so much and had so much fun dancing!

Buzz and the Blue Cats played for our daughters' school fundraising dinner in March 2019 & were a huge hit!!!! We gave them some pretty broad parameters, and they did a fantastic job selecting music genres/songs that were perfect for our event. They were also perfectly capable of handling all of our emceeing needs throughout the night and did not mind real time suggestions/requests to direct our crowd, etc. as far as dinner time and direction and silent auction instructions. SO many people commented on their talent and what a wonderful job they did for our school throughout the night. We already secured them for our event in 2020!!!!

Buzz & the Blue Cats made our wedding reception the BEST experience ever!!! So many of our friends said “you never enjoy your own wedding day- it’s too stressful” and we could not disagree more! Our wedding was beautiful and our reception just topped the night off in the best way possible! The dance floor was PACKED the entireeeee night! Scott & Carol are extremely professional, accommodating and so easy to work with! Scott called two weeks before our wedding and walked through the entire reception process with us and made every special request possible! My husband and I still think the best part of our wedding budget went to Buzz and the Blue Cats! To this day, whenever someone mentions our wedding day they ALL say- “the band at your reception was amazing!” Having Scott & Carol apart of our day was one of the highlights of our wedding!

Buzz & the Blue Cats played for my daughter's wedding last May that was held at Camp Lucy in Dripping Springs. They were AMAZING on steroids. I have just hired them for our middle daughter's wedding to be held next June. They are professional and amazing to work with. They played a variety of music from the 60's to present day. Buzz and the Blue Cats came to our destination wedding in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico this past weekend. They were the talk of the reception...innumerable people came up to us asking who the band was because they were SO on point. The dance floor was packed (to the point that there was hardly enough room) the entire night. One thing that was particularly notable was that all generations loved the music -- from my (now) husband's 4 year old nephew to my 86 year old grandmother and everyone in between. Scott and Carol were incredibly professional, accommodating, and easy to work with. I'd book them a million times over. Booking with them was hands down one of the best decisions I made in all of my wedding planning. Thank you!!

We attended a wedding in October and Buzz and the Blue Cats played at the reception. They were phenomenal! We danced all night long- folks of all ages were out on the dance floor and every song was a hit. Highly recommend!

Imagine your grandma, your 13 year old cousin, your old college roommates, and your pastor all crushing it on the dance floor...THAT is the vibe Buzz and the Blue Cats will provide at your wedding. They are the most diverse and subsequently inclusive wedding band I have ever seen. They can play it all! Which means everyone has a great time and stays out on the dance floor the whole wedding. I can't tell you how many people came up to us, sweaty from dancing so much, asking where we were able to find such good, live music. No matter the age or musical preferences, everyone enjoyed Buzz and the Blue Cats!!! They are extremely easy to work with and great people, not to mention very affordable! They even created the perfect playlist for our cocktail hour as well as provided great live music entertainment during our dinner. We can't wait to see them live again soon!

I've been in/or attended probably 40+ weddings in the last 6 years and Buzz & the Blue Cats is one of the best wedding/party band I've seen!! The musical range and quality was nothing short of exceptional!! Not only that, but as other reviewers have pointed out working with them was completely stress free. They worked with us to find out what type of feel and music we were looking for and then put together a set list that flowed well and kept the party going! They also played a more subdued set during the dinner as well which was fantastic. I had multiple people come up to me during the party, not to congratulate, but to ask where we found the band! I would hire them again in a heartbeat!

THE ABSOLUTE BEST. Buzz was AMAZING and the band was fantastic. They were so amazing we still had 120+ people on the dance floor even during the last song of the night. Would absolutely recommend anyone to use them that wants to have a good dance party!! BEST BAND EVER.

"BEST IN THE UNIVERSE!" should be the award for Buzz and the Blue Cats! (1)Their Sound is Amazing: When they play any cover, it's as though the real artist were in the room with you! They played an Eva Cassidy version of "People Get Ready" for our Father-Daughter dance and it sounded like Eva Cassidy was in the room with us. (2) Their Range of Repertoire is Phenomenal: As advertised they can play anything from Frank Sinatra to Josh Turner and more--they can probably play anything! These guys are real musicians. (3)FUN!!: Our guests kept telling us (and we totally agree),"This band is amazing!" Everyone had SO much fun--from my 90-year-old grandmother to my two-year-old godson. My brother, who is very vocal about the fact that he does not dance, was even out on the dance floor for a good portion of the reception! Many said, "Best Wedding Ever!!" (4) They are professional and think of every detail: Scott walked us through every nook and cranny of what our wedding reception music would look like, asked us questions that we hadn't thought of, and was an amazing Emcee! (5) They definitely treated us like family--Carol and Scott genuinely care about you and your future together--they are truly kind and generous people! Buzz and the Blue Cats are a MUST! Do it now! AMAZING! That doesn't seem to begin to do it justice. Well, I guess I'm stuck with words (so inadequate) to describe just how phenomenal Buzz & the Blue Cats were at our wedding. The breadth of music that they are able to perform with jaw dropping skill is certainly worth mentioning. Buzz & the Blue Cats were nothing but fabulous on our wedding day in June of 2018. While planning our wedding together, my wife and I knew that music choice was towards the top of our priority list. After hours of researching, we decided on Buzz & the Blue Cats. Buzz, his wife Carol, and all of their band members were so easy to work with, not to mention friendly and flexible. Our wedding guests had the best time dancing the night away -- very few people were left sitting & chatting at the tables. We had a fabulous reception! Would HIGHLY recommend.

I don't like to dance, even after a few drinks, but Buzz & the Blue Cats had me out on the floor the entire night! They absolutely killed it and all of our guests raved about them! Every song was a hit. Can't recommend them highly enough!

Unbelievable. Buzz and the Blue Cats came by high recommendation and they surpassed our expectations. They played at our wedding and we had all kind of things that came up unexpected. After the wedding ceremony, we drove to the reception venue. Buzz & the Blue Cats were just starting to play a few warm-up songs. One of our guests immediately walked over and said "Who is this band? They're great!" We got comments like that all evening. This band is the difference maker and was loved by everyone from 8 to 80 years old. Impressive.

When I thought about my wedding day, the one thing I’d pictured and hoped for was that everyone would be out on the dance floor. I’d wanted our guests to have the best time dancing the night away and Buzz & the Blue Cats over delivered!! There was one point where I looked around and very few (out of nearly 200 guests) were sitting down - everyone was out on the dance floor. Buzz was so easy to work with and made the process flawless and worry-free. We cannot say enough great things about Buzz & the Blue Cats!!

I seriously cannot explain how amazing this band was for our wedding. We hired them without ever hearing them live, so I was slightly worried... but it turned out to be the absolute best decision. The songs they played were appealing to people of all ages, so the dance floor was full the entire night. Even my wedding planner could not stop commenting on how amazing the band was :) Absolute EXCEPTIONAL value. Some of the other bands we were looking at were twice the cost - and I honestly couldn't imagine another band doing a better job than Buzz & the Blue Cats. We were blown away with Buzz & the Blue Cats at our wedding. Our guests (of all ages) danced all night long, and it had everything to do with these guys. We are grateful for the band ability to work with us prior to the wedding on building set lists and music for the breaks, and for learning a new song for our first dance (which was amazing)! My husband and I booked Buzz and The Blue Cats for our November wedding and my goodness, they are amazing! They did a wonderful job learning my husband and I's first dance song, as well as a song that I wanted to surprise my husband with. By the end of the night, I was not ready to leave the dance floor because of the great energy they brought to the reception. They had their timing down perfectly and made sure to take their breaks at all the right times. Their sound tech even didn't mind that my 4 year old nephew watched him work almost the entire night! They're beyond talented and I would book them again in a heartbeat!

Because I have a little background in music, I was very picky with the quality of the sound of the band. After listening to many, many bands, I found this awesome band. They far exceeded my expectations on the wedding day playing every song we had picked out. Furthermore, they were so professional throughout the entire process. The band gave us just the experience we hoped for! The music at the wedding was tailored just for us - loud when we wanted loud and soft when it needed to be softer, fun and beautiful music well-done, and according to the list we submitted. Scott was just right as master of ceremonies, timing things well, enhancing the reception in every way. I highly recommend Buzz and the Blue Cats!

If I could give Carol, Buzz and his band more than 5 stars, I would. My husband and I were not planning to have a band until we serendipitously heard them playing one evening as we were checking out a venue. We hadn't even heard them sing, just the ambient music as guests were trickling in, and I knew we had to have them. You could tell they "just got it" with regard to what music is needed at district parts of a wedding. Sure enough, when we looked up the band, read others' reviews and heard some demos online, they were by far *the best* band. Though I hadn't been looking initially, I of course, looked up other bands to compare and nothing/no one did. Carol was wonderful in helping us schedule Buzz and the band at super short notice (they happened to free that weekend, and I mean like <1 months before the wedding). They even worked within the physical space we had and accommodated a request for a smaller band set based upon our needs. Both she and Buzz helped my husband and I decide what kind of music would be best fitting for our vision of our wedding, how things would go and though I could chose songs to hear throughout the night, I really opted to just have Buzz and the band decide what made sense based upon the crowd and how the night was going. To say they "made the night" is nothing short of the truth. Throughout the evening and, now, months after, we hear from guests how wonderful the band was and that they were the best other guests have heard at weddings, too. They got people dancing, singing, and loving all kinds of music to dance to and generally be together with. Having Buzz's expertise and wedding know-how as support really calmed my anxiety--if you think about it, this is his expertise--they do weddings all the time and I, hopefully, will only experience being the bride once. Knowing they were on board helped me relax and enjoy the night, and most of all, their talent and professionalism made ours an incredibly memorable night. We sincerely hope to work with them in the future and wouldn't hesitate to contract with them for future family and/or work events. Wouldn't think to look anywhere else. We'll be forever grateful we found them.

You would be hard pressed to find a better band to play at your event. They played our wedding and kept the celebration going well into the night and got everyone on the dance floor. Carol is amazing to work with and will handle anything you need with kindness and grace. Scott and the band are wonderful, professional and have that 'it' factor to know how to play to the crowd. They treat you like family and they were the easiest vendor to work with. Get B&BC on the booked as soon as your set your date, you won't be disappointed.

Phenomenal band! Scott is an amazing singer and really made our reception a very memorable moment. We have received several compliments from our guest about the band. Carol is very easy to work with and was able to accommodate our budget and the size of the venue. She is very warm and really cares about making our night memorable! Hiring Buzz and the Blue Cats is one of the best decisions we made when planning our wedding. We did some research on pricing and song lists and booked them from out of state without meeting them. They did a wedding at our venue (LBJ Wildflower Center) before our wedding but it was a different set up so it was new for them. Buzz met with us a month before our wedding when we were there for our walkthrough to ask some questions and make sure he was pronouncing our names right, etc. We gave him our must have list and request for house music and he played it all just as we requested! He also offered to play our first dance song (Leon Bridges, Coming Home) which was not on his song list. I was a little nervous but can honestly say he cfrushed it. It sounded so good that I forgot that it wasn’t the track until I caught a glimpse of him singing (ha). The band was energetic the entire event and our guests are still talking about how much fun they were. Buzz was also flexible when at the end of the night our send off car was late and they played a few more songs as our wedding coordinator figured out where the car was. I would highly recommend Buzz and The Blue Cats. They are super easy to work with and are the best value you will find in Austin!

Buzz & The Blue Cats were a hit at our wedding!! Carol & Scott were true professionals that made this process seamless. They walked us through every step of the way and made us feel at ease during the stressful time of planning our wedding. Buzz (Scott) assisted us with quite a bit more than just their performance. Leah ( pianist) played the music during our procession. Buzz did a great job of hosting/MC of the wedding. The also assisted us in our grand exit by performing a second line!! Several of my guests commented that this was one of the best weddings that they've ever attended. The band or the music at a wedding can make or break it. Everybody was on the dance floor regardless of age. Buzz and the Blue Cats have such a wide variety of songs that they can play. We went through the list and highlighted a couple of must have songs! They listened to our taste and played incredible music for four hours! I highly recommend this band if you're looking for music for a wedding or event. I would definitely use them again!!! Maybe our 10 year anniversary?

Great band! They were so accommodating and were the perfect touch on the wedding. Don't do a DJ - get this band! If you're looking for a classy, fun band to really "jazz" up the night, here you go! I told them I was from New Orleans and they did a lovely second line for me and my husband. I asked them to add a few touches to our first dance song and they handled it without issue! They ever took request form the guest which was a great touch. Absolutely FANTASTIC band - I Highly recommend!

They were awesome! We are huge music people and they took our wedding to the next level. All we've heard the past few weeks is how great our band was!

Not only were Buzz and Carol probably my most favorite vendors to work with leading up to the wedding (so easygoing, friendly, full of fun ideas and great at making me feel calm and that they had everything under control...), the band truly MADE the night! Everyone had an absolute blast and never left the dancefloor. I wasn't able to see them live before booking them, so was a tad nervous since my husband and I are BIG music people, but we were totally blown away. They were awesome at putting together a perfect mix of songs for us throughout the night, played our "songs" perfectly, and just were an absolute delight to work with. Zero complaints. BOOK THEM. NOW!!! Seriously.

I had the opportunity to hear Buzz and the Blue Cats at a wedding last night and I love them! Wonderful music, great singing and fantastic atmosphere. I was blown away with how great the music was. I knew every song and could sing along. However, I didn't because I was the wedding videographer. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone wanting to have a swinging good time.

Buzz and the Blue Cats MADE our wedding. Scott met with my wife and I prior to our wedding and thoughtfully worked with us to develop ideas for the different musical elements of the evening (first dance, father/daughter dance, etc). His wife Carol was also wonderful to work with throughout the process. Scott also helped us keep on schedule during our reception, a testament to how he goes above and beyond what is expected. The band played the perfect blend of music that makes EVERYONE from the toddles to grandparents want to hop out on the dance floor. They have such a large catalog of music and can put together a large live band with horns, keyboards and multiple vocalists. Buzz and the Blue Cats also had a great working relationships with the folks at Mercury Hall where we had our wedding and so they're arrival and departure were seamless. I wish we could get married again so we could hire them one more time!

We booked Buzz & the Blue Cats for our daughter's wedding in April. They were absolutely the BEST!! Everyone danced, all night long...in fact, the night went by so fast - we couldn't believe it was over! Buzz was awesome! I was very happy with the performance of Buzz and the Blue Cats - they are technically excellent, looked good on stage, and really helped make our wedding a blast. They offer a wide range of music to encourage dancing in a multi-generation crowd, and are very accommodating in letting the bride/groom prioritize songs that they feel are best. I have already recommended to friends who are planning weddings.

We searched so long for a band before we were referred to Buzz & the BlueCats... we cannot say enough about them. They were so wonderful to work with!! Our guests danced the ENTIRE night. We had a mix of older parents and younger nieces & nephews... everyone had a great time. They played a great mix of genres. We would highly recommend them - you will not be disappointed!!

My daughter and her fiancee chose Buzz and the Blue Cats for their June 4 wedding at Ma Maison in Dripping Springs. What an excellent choice! Every number was so beautifully done and after the "first dance" the dance floor was packed. A running comment was that everyone wished the evening had been a little longer because the band was so good! Also, they are professional, accessible and dependable. Buzz and the Blue Cats were the BEST band we could have ever asked for. I would use them again for all of my events. Buzz and his wife were so easy to work with. They met with us ahead of time to coordinate schedule and help us with flow of the reception. They allowed us to attend one of their other events so that we could see their style. They even learned our first dance song in less than a month and performed it perfectly! Overall, we could not have been happier. My guests continue to tell me that they were the hit of the wedding. Everyone, all ages, was on the dance floor ALL night. We even extended our reception because our guests wanted to dance longer. We could not be more grateful to have had such an amazing band that made our night seamless and incredibly fun.

Buzz and the Blue Cats is the best at what they do. Buzz (Scott- the lead vocalist and front man) does an amazing job of keeping the floor moving and is a true professional. He worked with me to hand pick each and every song during his 4 hour set and pre mixed some really great selections that were played during their breaks. Our experience with Buzz and the Blue Cats was perfect form start to finish. From our first contact with Carol to our final farewell handshake with Scott, and all points between, we could not have asked for any thing more. Carol is efficient, caring and very professional when working with the bride and groom on scheduling and the "business" side of working with a band. Scott took great care in working with the bride and groom and their music selection to make sure that the music reflected the couple's vision for their reception. Great care was taken to make sure that the time line followed the bride's wishes for the timing of the reception. And the best part is that this band is awesome!! The sound is great and the energy helped get all of our guests participating in the fun. We have had numerous people compliment us on our reception being The Most fun they have ever had at a wedding and we contribute much of that to Buzz and The Blue Cats. Scott is an excellent MC for the reception, making sure to read the crowd and changing pace as the evening progressed. This is the perfect example of how all wedding vendors should conduct their business. We wholeheartedly recommend this band as the perfect compliment for your reception. They Rock!!!

I cannot say enough great things about Buzz and the Blue Cats- they were awesome to work with from Start to Finish. They came recommended from another friend who hired them for her wedding and then all the other reviews on The Knot confirmed that I was making the right decision. I really wanted live music throughout our wedding since we were getting married in the Austin area (i.e. Live Music Capital of the World). Buzz was very accommodating in learning new songs when needed (even different versions of songs we preferred). Both Buzz and Carol helped us secure our ceremony/cocktail hour musician as well as put together last minute personalized CDs that we played in the shuttles from Downtown Austin to our wedding venue at Ma Maison. I would highly recommend Buzz and the Blue Cats to any couple getting married that wants to offer their guests a memorable music experience.

Buzz & the Blue Cats were just simply outstanding! My wife and I can not recommend them enough! It's been 3 weeks since the wedding, and every one still talks about how they were one of the best - if not the best - band they've ever heard at a wedding. We had a 400 person reception with guests of a wide age-range. I was initially worried that their "sound" may not appeal to many of our guests who traditionally may have preferred more of a "bollywood" sound (my wife and I are both Indian). We ended up hiring them for a few reasons: 1) Scott (the lead singer) and Carol (the manager) are just the NICEST people in the whole world. We felt so well taken care of throughout the whole process. We're so happy that they were a part of such a special day in our lives. 2) They were within our budget (seriously, they have one of the best deals, particularly for the world class quality that you are getting). 3) Last, but not least, they just sound amazing. Despite our worries about perhaps not catering to a "bollywood" crowd, we just knew that their blend of classic and modern songs would appeal to most people. And the wedding reception proved us right! Our guests were dancing all night long. They read the crowd perfectly and we all left the evening wanting even more (despite the encore)! As a band, they dress sharp and added a wonderful level of elegance to the whole event. I must also mention that Scott MC'd the whole evening perfectly. He took the time to speak to me for over 90 mins a few days before our wedding to get the timing of all the events (and the pronunciations of all the names) just right. They learned all the songs that we wanted for the wedding and played them perfectly. We simply can not say enough good things about this band. Would highly suggest hiring them (we would do it again in a heartbeat). You will not regret it!

My husband and I LOVED Buzz & the Blue Cats at our wedding!!! They kept everyone on the dance floor all night and helped us pick songs that were fun to dance to and kept all generations entertained. We have gotten so many compliments on our band from our wedding guests and those planning their wedding have asked for them by name. We would choose them again in a heartbeat! It is a quality, professional, entertaining band that really made our wedding reception go perfectly!

I absolutely could not be happier with Buzz and the Blue Cats!!! They were wonderful to work with start to finish, but most importantly -- they delivered the day of. We had about 275 guests at our wedding, of all ages. And people from EVERY age group were telling me constantly how amazing the band was. I gave them very little direction on what to play - I knew they'd read the crowd and know what to do, and they did. I'm a musician myself, so I had high standards for the musical capabilities of the performers - and they were spot on. The dance floor was packed all night, right until the finish. We were all sad to leave, the dance floor was so much fun. They were true professionals. So courteous, and even volunteered to play later than expected because our wedding started later than expected. Even weeks after my wedding, I'm still getting comments about how great they were. If I could do it all again, I wouldn't even look at any other band. This is the one!

We loved working with Buzz and the Blue Cats, they were very professional! Our wedding was in the Houston area and they did not charge for a travel fee! I did quite a bit of research prior to choosing a band, and I am very thankful we chose Buzz! We chatted prior to the wedding to discuss genres we liked best, and small details for during the reception such as reception timeline, dances, etc. They worked directly with our reception venue coordinator for questions such as band space, set up, etc. This was a huge help and allowed me to have one less thing to worry about closer to the wedding day. The band set up was great, I was really impressed! Buzz is the MC for the entire reception as well, which keeps the party moving smoothly. They also have a great selection of songs that they play during their few short breaks. I do not think you can find a better band for such an affordable price! By choosing Buzz, we did not have worry about any music selection from start to finish at our reception, they took care of everything! I highly recommend, it was a great dance party!

It was nice working with Carol and Buzz. They were really friendly. We love this band! Buzz can play a wide variety of music. We asked him to play few of our songs that were not on their list and Buzz did an incredible job. Everyone loved them and still talk about them. They worked really hard and played till the end. We absolutely recommend this band!

This band was fantastic for my daughter's wedding! Great selection of songs, terrific energy, vocals were terrific. The crowd was energized, and on the dance floor all night. I could not have asked for a better band! Love these guys!!!!

Buzz and the Blue Cats was nothing short of superb. From the get-go, Carol (the manager) was a pleasure to work with. Very responsive in a timely fashion. We met Buzz (Scott) a few months before our wedding and he asked the most thoughtful questions to really get a sense of what we wanted. The band's performance far exceeded our expectations- they learned a song especially for my grandmother and introduced it this way which was so touching. Their rendition of every song was perfect- the dance party was amazing. Numerous guests complimented us on the band. Apart from the music, Buzz is such a classy MC. I would recommend this band to ANY bride. Expect to be blown away!

The band provide extraordinary music for my daughter's wedding. We had a very mixed crowd: young/old, asian/caucasian, and they lit up the room with their music. They provided great value and brought joy to our event. Hire them and you will not be disappointed.

Buzz and his band are fantastic to work with. He met with us beforehand and helped us pick songs, plan our first dance and more. True professionals and they sounded great. Everyone danced!

Buzz and the band were fantastic. We were looking for a band with the range to play during dinner and fill the dance floor afterward, and they did just that. They made everything from Sinatra to Motown to Zac Brown Band (hey, we did get married in Texas) sound amazing. They’re great musicians and performers, and I still, 8 months later, hear an occasional comment from family or a friend about how great the music was at our reception. Buzz and his wife were also a pleasure to work with leading up to the party. We gave them a couple must-plays and some genre preferences, and they took care of the rest. Pro Tip: Go for the 7 piece. The horns make all the difference for dance-ability.

My fiance and I together picked Buzz & The Blue Cats to play at our wedding reception initially because we appreciated their style and felt it would be appealing to all ages. As we went through the planning process we were so happy to be working with such a helpful and exciting band. "Buzz" personally took the time to work through our set list and make our wedding exactly what we wanted. But turns out, that the best part of the experience was the packed dance floor! We didn't expect it to be so full! Some of our older guests who had originally planned to leave early ended up dancing all night long and staying until the very end. Thank you Buzz & Carol!!!

This band was great. I hadn't heard of them before my daughter booked them. They played everything, and even did a special song they had to practice ahead of the event. Highly recommended!

I cannot say enough about how happy we are about booking Buzz & the Blue Cats for our wedding. They were amazing. Our guests had a blast and our dance floor was full during every single song. The band was very accommodating with our requests, learned songs for us, and put on an amazing show. Scott & Carol really made this process so personal for us in the planning stages and we appreciated their attention to detail to really help us detail our evening of events. Scott is a wonderful emcee for the reception and kept everything running smoothly working with the wedding coordinator and played all the music we discussed. I LOVE that they had their playlists online to view and pick out songs. They were the highlight of the night and kept the party going by being able to read the crowd. My only regret is not booking them longer to enjoy them more!

As the groom in a delightful wedding that was nevertheless quite stressful to pull off in the three months (!!) between engagement and tying the knot, I have to say that the smoothest and most flawless aspect of the whole event--ceremony and reception--was Buzz & the Blue Cats. From Carol’s initial enthusiasm and help walking us through our decision to use the band, to our meeting with Scott and Carol to plan, we experienced warmth and professionalism that could only come from years of experience combined with genuinely good character and a love for what marriage signifies. In our initial meeting, Scott helped us imagine what the reception would look like, choosing songs we would love and that would work well in the context of various different moments of the proceedings, and getting our input on exactly what we would like in terms of the MCing of the event. When we didn’t know what to say about a decision—which was often!—he gave good advice from his oodles of experience, sharing what had worked in the past, esp. in terms of getting the audience’s attention for things like cutting the cake, and for the general pacing of the event. As for the actual reception, everything flowed amazingly well, and it was SO MUCH FUN! We couldn’t have asked for a better blend of fun and romantic oldies, classic pop and rock and soul tunes that everyone was singing along to. Scott did what he said he was going to do, playing the songs from his repertoire that we had discussed and working in some special requests that were meaningful to us. We got so many compliments on the band, and we heard some people (including the manager of the venue!) saying they would like to book them for other kinds of events. The technical expertise of each musician and the quality of the setup and sound were unquestionable, but the way Scott led them and subtly and winsomely helped the evening move along—was truly outstanding. I can’t think of any aspect of their performance that could have been better.

Buzz & the Blue Cats will get EVERYONE on the dance floor. I had my baby cousins out there along with Michael's college buddies and my 87-year-old grandpa. Only the best bands can do that. They are responsive, flexible and amazingly friendly. They can contract a band anywhere in the country, so I am recommending them to friends nation-wide! Fly them wherever you are getting married, because it is WORTH it.

Buzz and the Blue Cats played our hometown reception and even almost a month later, folks are STILL talking about what a fantastic show they put on! Buzz and his team MADE our reception. Carol, the manager, was super easy to work with, very accommodating and she and Buzz made sure all of our requests, even down to letting my dad and I sing with them, were honored. Their out-of-town rate is very reasonable and as someone who has been to millions of weddings, I can tell you that Buzz and the Blue Cats will make your event one that everyone remembers and they are worth every single penny! Buzz is one of the most talented musicians I've ever heard and his entire band is comprised of consummate professionals. I'd get married all over again (to the same amazing man, of course!) just to have Buzz and the Blue Cats play at my reception!

Buzz and the Blue Cats is truly a top notch band. From the beginning, Carol and Scott (Buzz) were amazing to work with. Carol quickly responded to my initial questions and provided excellent advice in helping us select the number of musicians for our wedding band based on our song preferences. We were so pleased with the quality of service provided and feel like we got an excellent deal compared to what some of our friends have paid for bands in the Austin area. The music was phenomenal, and we got so many compliments from our guests. I was planning my wedding remotely, but Carol and Scott were so easy to work with, and I had complete confidence going into the wedding. They even invited us over to dinner several months out so that we could meet them personally before the wedding and could work through the various details of the song selections. We couldn't be happier with our decision to use Buzz and the Blue Cats for our wedding, and we highly recommend them for weddings or any special event!

My daughter and her fiance chose Buzz and the Blue Cats to be the band at their wedding. They had attended a wedding earlier in the year where they performed and loved them and knew they would be the perfect fit for their wedding. Scott and Carol were wonderful to work with during the planning process and the end result was nothing short of amazing! All of our guests enjoyed the music completely, it was wonderful! I don't think the dance floor was ever not packed and smiles on all the guests faces! I didn't get to meet Scott and Carol personally, unfortunately, and thank them for a job very well done! They were an important part of the success of our reception and I would do it exactly the same way if I had it to do over. Absolutely amazing and so much fun!

Buzz & the Blue Cats played at our wedding reception. Our venue was a smaller and more intimate setting. I was appreciative of Buzz’s sensitivity to the differing atmospheres that we were striving for through the course of the evening. Our reception started with a cocktail party atmosphere, where the music was there as more of a background to conversations. As the evening progressed Buzz and the Blue Cats became more prominent in the atmosphere as they encouraged and invite many of our guest to begin to dance, though always having a respect for the space with regards to the volume and awareness that there were many who were continuing conversations outside of the dancing. As the groom, I came from an area that has it own regional genre of music that is not as familiar in the area of which Buzz is from and where we got married. Buzz was extremely professional as I expressed a desire to have “Beach Music” (I am from North Carolina) be a part of reception. While Buzz was not initially familiar with this genre, he did some research and did a nice job of incorporating that genre of music into the the reception. I know that it made many of our guest who came from North Carolina feel right at home. Buzz was also helpful in picking the right music for specific dances. While we brought some ideas to the table, Buzz offered his years of experience to help us shape our ideas so that they flowed seamlessly and made the impact that we desired. I would highly encourage prospective brides and grooms to go with Buzz and the Blue Cats. They are highly professional and will provide you with atmosphere and music genres that you are looking for and you and your guest will go away having had a blast and many special memories!
