It was a last minute wedding (3 months)and booking a DJ out of the blue 3 was kind of worrisome to say the least. I just Google DJ in South Jersey, really happy he took us on a 4th of July weekend! My husband kept commenting in the days after our wedding how perfect the music selection was! We also got the photobooth package, and it was a huge hit. We loved being able to see and share all the photobooth photos shortly after the wedding. My junior bridesmaid (7 years old) was obsessed with the photo booth and is in almost every picture (including one very sweet one from the end of the night where she insisted on getting a picture with the photobooth operator!) He also had us spell out people’s names phonetically so he would pronounce then correctly, and he confirmed them with the people in the bridal party on the day of the wedding. I was so impressed! I had been to a wedding where the DJ pronounced the grooms name wrong and it just came off terrible and I really wanted everyone’s names to be right. He was the perfect MC and kept us on our timeline so we got all of our activities in. He also played all of the songs we had put on our playlist and if we requested a song - it was the next song he played. The lighting was also fantastic! I had the most amazing time during my reception and Kris was a huge part of that. I didn’t want to leave the dance floor! He also made it so that we were able to get a group shot with every person that was at our wedding and we will have that for the rest of our lives. I cannot recommend By design entertainment more for a wedding DJ!! If I could give him more than 5 stars I would! Thank you so much!!

He was very easy to work with and very down-to-earth unlike a lot of DJs we met with. He took the time to get to know us and added some cool personal touches to our playlist (like a final boarding call announcement for the Disney World monorail before our sendoff song...We LOVE Disney and honeymooned there, so it was a very cute surprise). Very reasonable price for an excellent job!

tial meeting with him at Starbucks shortly after contacting him. He’s got a great personality and sense of humor. From the minute you meet him, you get positive vibes! We didn’t even meet with anyone else; we booked him immediately. During that two year span, we ran into some unexpected financial trouble and needed to cut down on our wedding budget & even change venues. Kris was willing to work with us & let us change a few things/cut out a few services we originally had wanted, which he definitely did not have to do! He’s the only vendor we kept when changing venues because we really wanted to keep him! We even moved to California (military move) in between that time and needed to converse with Kris over the phone until the wedding. There was a 3 hour time difference, but he still made it a point to talk with us even though it may not have been convenient for him. Every time we contacted him, he replied back quickly and was able to answer all of our questions. My husband couldn’t care less what type of music was played at our wedding, but I’m very picky and admittedly dislike most current music. Kris was accommodating to that & even upped our number of allowable “Do Not Play” songs haha! The Vibo app is nice & Kris definitely utilizes it! It’s laid out easily & divides everything up into categories. It even provides recommendations for certain instances that you may have overlooked or can’t think of (cake cutting song, bridal party entrance music, etc.) I recommend making notes on specific songs if you want Kris to make a shout-out or want it played at a very specific time because he does read them! We had a brunch wedding & not a very lively crowd. There was only a few people actually dancing and they were the ones up most of the time. Kris really tried his best to get everyone more motivated to get on the floor & even tried multiple methods. One was ingenious and worked for a while - he got everyone to crowd together on the dance floor for a group picture & then tricked them into doing the YMCA. Unfortunately they were a super tough crowd and most everyone seated themselves after that song. My husband and I truly appreciated all of his attempts, though, and still enjoyed ourselves even though most of our guests were party poopers! It also almost felt like Kris was our maitre’d - he was basically running everything! He was certainly more organized than our actual maitre’d and even checked up on my husband and I multiple times. About two weeks before the wedding, we realized we could afford the motion wall monogram of our names & asked Kris if we could add it in. He made a mock up of it to show us what it would look like & we loved it! It looked even better in person & he even added in some cool effects that we were blown away by! It was completely worth the price 100% We had a slight Disney theme to our wedding & Kris surprised my husband and I by adding the monorail spiel to the end of the very last song played. It was such a magical touch to the end of the reception & we even had multiple guests recognize it and smile! We cannot recommend Kris enough; he’s tremendously skilled & absolutely wonderful at what he does! We have no doubt we made the right choice & we wish we lived locally so we could use him again in the future for any other gatherings!

ger than expected and had open communication all night with my husband and I on any song requests/when we felt was good to play certain songs. He was upbeat, easygoing and made our night an ease. The dance floor was jammed the entire night and he always knew what song to pick if there was even a bit of a lull (which I’m not even sure there was one)! We have had so many compliments on how great he was, he was respectful of all age groups and knew how get all the generations out and partying. Thank you Kris for the best night ever!

Most of the DJs we interviewed were more interested in selling themselves to us, but Kris immediately wanted to know about us, our plans for the wedding, and took most of our initial phone call asking questions about how we wanted our wedding to go. It was really refreshing to talk with someone who cared and wanted to learn about us instead of pricing out his/her services and trying to validate why they should be paid that way. As for the planning portion, it was entirely seamless. He provided us with an app to help select music for various parts of the reception, as well as setting up the cocktail hour playlist. Pairing that with the timeline the venue gave us for all the aspects of our reception made everything flow perfectly! We were also able to pick songs for just about every aspect of the reception (we picked cake cutting music, shoe game music, etc.) and Kris was able to cue up exact portions of several songs for our wedding party introductions. It was executed flawlessly! Also, he picked up on various things throughout the night from the Best Man's & Maid of Honor's speeches and incorporated the Eagles Fight Song and a 80s/90s Boy Band segment to get people going! As for Kris' punctuality and professionalism, he is always on his A Game. He showed up when he said he would, and worked his magic with his uplighting and sound equipment to make our room look and sound amazing. Every bit of the night was right on cue, and we received countless compliments and praise on the DJ we selected and the quality of the music all night--praise that definitely belongs to Kris! In the short time since we've been married we have had a dozen people ask about our DJ, and some of those folks work in radio and at concert venues! Kris was some of the best money we spent for this wedding, and we really hope we get the pleasure of watching him work again soon!

We had also booked the photo booth, which Heidi was running during our wedding night. She is so nice and everyone had a blast doing the photo booth. We absolutely loved our photo booth design; I still cannot get over how awesome/epic they are. Honestly I cannot rave enough how awesome Kris and Heidi are! Kris made my guests laugh and he even got some people I did not expect to dance actually dance. He has great timing when it comes to playing songs and announcing events throughout the night. Kris and Heidi made the night flawless. During my wedding day which was on October 6th 2018 there were other weddings at the same time but that night I felt we were the only ones there. As I mentioned earlier, we have no regrets and you will not either. Please do yourself a favor at set up a meeting. You will not regret it!

His up-lighting truly transforms a room and we still can't believe how amazing our venue looked once his lights were set up. The photo booth was also a huge hit with us and our guests. made our ballroom so much nicer looking! The open air photobooth was a big hit and having the scrapbook is so much better than a regular old guest book, in my opinion. Kris was a great DJ and had everyone young and old dancing all night! He was very accommodating of our specific music requests and helped us pick certain songs that we were stuck on.

r our big day. We were not disappointed to say the least! Kris took the time out of his day twice to meet with us leading up to the Wedding. He listened to everything that we wanted. DJ Kris was truly amazing and kept the party going the entire night. He is not one of those DJ’s that just sit back and let the night go by. Kris got the crowd involved, even coming onto the dance floor to show some people that were struggling with the dance moves. DJ Kris played every song requested. Kris even made our ceremony sound beautiful! We have been to a lot of parties and Wedding’s with a DJ and we both agree, there is no other DJ like Kris. He is unbelievable! The lighting he set up and the monogram with our names on it were perfect. We also got the photo booth which can be a part of the DJ package. Heidi ran the photo booth and was incredible! She was so friendly with every single person that went in the photo booth! We cannot thank Kris and Heidi enough for the amazing work they both did!
