Kris was the first vendor we booked after we had our date! We have been to parties with him in the past and we knew we wanted to work with him. He made the planning process so simple with the app and him and Heidi are both the kindest people to work with. Everyone let us know how much fun they had on the dance floor all night and we owe that to Kris. We love that we have the photobooth memories as well to look back on--it was a huge hit!

A wedding DJ makes or breaks the party, and Kris made the party! By Design was incredibly attentive, and his system leading up to the wedding was so helpful and easy! Kris was great at reading the room and playing songs to keep everyone on the dance floor! My maid of honor mentioned my love of the Muppets in her speech, and at the end of her toast, Kris played the Muppet theme song, surprising us both. Such a nice personal touch and a great example of how awesome Kris is. Thank you!

Kris absolutely killed it for our wedding. We got so many compliments on the music and playlist! He got everybody out on the dance floor and worked with our other vendors to make sure that everything ran according to schedule. He even stepped in to help guide the flower girls from the sidelines when they got a bit lost walking down the aisle. We could not recommend enough!

Kris and his PhotoBooth attendant we’re amazing! Kris answered my questions almost immediately. All the planning, timeline and song choices were handled in the Vibo app which was amazing. At the wedding he had a great personality, played a variety of songs and kept people on the dance floor all night. The Photo Booth was great and had a ton of fun props. Everyone loved it. The photos were available online the next day for us to send to our guests. I would definitely recommend Kris to anyone!

Kris was so easy to work with and really helped capture the vibe that my husband and I wanted for our wedding day. He was very communicative and always answered my questions in a timely manner. The app he had us use to plan our music was so easy to use and was one of the most fun things about planning the wedding. My husband kept commenting in the days after our wedding how perfect the music selection was! We also got the photobooth package, and it was a huge hit. We loved being able to see and share all the photobooth photos shortly after the wedding. My junior bridesmaid (7 years old) was obsessed with the photo booth and is in almost every picture (including one very sweet one from the end of the night where she insisted on getting a picture with the photobooth operator!) I got married this past Friday and one of the best decisions I made was booking Kris to Dj our wedding. He was constantly on point with the music and had everyone dancing the entire night! Wow! I am so lucky that my sister and brother in law found Kris for their wedding in 2017. Once I began planning my wedding, I knew I wanted Kris as my DJ for my wedding. Kris is the EXACT person we were looking for in a DJ. From the very first email exchange, I had a feeling this would be our guy! We met Kris in person to make a final decision and it was a no brainer. Kris is funny, personable and very responsive. He made everything so easy for us. He was fully aware and respectful of our time, helping us to pace the events we had planned smoothly. And he was very good at exciting the crowd and keeping spirits high with the choice of music and with his MCing abilities. We could not have dreamed of a better DJ than Kris! I asked for his advice/opinion for multiple things during my wedding planning and he always responded to my emails so fast! He provides a very detailed form for you to fill out for anyone that he will announce. He also had us spell out people’s names phonetically so he would pronounce then correctly, and he confirmed them with the people in the bridal party on the day of the wedding. I was so impressed! I had been to a wedding where the DJ pronounced the grooms name wrong and it just came off terrible and I really wanted everyone’s names to be right. He was the perfect MC and kept us on our timeline so we got all of our activities in. He also played all of the songs we had put on our playlist and if we requested a song - it was the next song he played. The lighting was also fantastic! I had the most amazing time during my reception and Kris was a huge part of that. I didn’t want to leave the dance floor! He also made it so that we were able to get a group shot with every person that was at our wedding and we will have that for the rest of our lives. I cannot recommend By design entertainment more for a wedding DJ!! If I could give him more than 5 stars I would! Thank you so much!!

Kris did a great job with the music at out wedding reception! We were going for an old-school vibe, and he played all the classics that got all ages out on the dance floor. He played our favorites and even agreed to play an encore song after our last dance of the night (my family didn't want the party to stop!). He was very easy to work with and very down-to-earth unlike a lot of DJs we met with. He took the time to get to know us and added some cool personal touches to our playlist (like a final boarding call announcement for the Disney World monorail before our sendoff song...We LOVE Disney and honeymooned there, so it was a very cute surprise). Very reasonable price for an excellent job!

We couldn’t have found a better DJ for our wedding than Kris! We booked him two years out from our wedding date and he was awesome to work with every step of the way! We had an initial meeting with him at Starbucks shortly after contacting him. He’s got a great personality and sense of humor. From the minute you meet him, you get positive vibes! We didn’t even meet with anyone else; we booked him immediately. During that two year span, we ran into some unexpected financial trouble and needed to cut down on our wedding budget & even change venues. Kris was willing to work with us & let us change a few things/cut out a few services we originally had wanted, which he definitely did not have to do! He’s the only vendor we kept when changing venues because we really wanted to keep him! We even moved to California (military move) in between that time and needed to converse with Kris over the phone until the wedding. There was a 3 hour time difference, but he still made it a point to talk with us even though it may not have been convenient for him. Every time we contacted him, he replied back quickly and was able to answer all of our questions. My husband couldn’t care less what type of music was played at our wedding, but I’m very picky and admittedly dislike most current music. Kris was accommodating to that & even upped our number of allowable “Do Not Play” songs haha! The Vibo app is nice & Kris definitely utilizes it! It’s laid out easily & divides everything up into categories. It even provides recommendations for certain instances that you may have overlooked or can’t think of (cake cutting song, bridal party entrance music, etc.) I recommend making notes on specific songs if you want Kris to make a shout-out or want it played at a very specific time because he does read them! We had a brunch wedding & not a very lively crowd. There was only a few people actually dancing and they were the ones up most of the time. Kris really tried his best to get everyone more motivated to get on the floor & even tried multiple methods. One was ingenious and worked for a while - he got everyone to crowd together on the dance floor for a group picture & then tricked them into doing the YMCA. Unfortunately they were a super tough crowd and most everyone seated themselves after that song. My husband and I truly appreciated all of his attempts, though, and still enjoyed ourselves even though most of our guests were party poopers! It also almost felt like Kris was our maitre’d - he was basically running everything! He was certainly more organized than our actual maitre’d and even checked up on my husband and I multiple times. About two weeks before the wedding, we realized we could afford the motion wall monogram of our names & asked Kris if we could add it in. He made a mock up of it to show us what it would look like & we loved it! It looked even better in person & he even added in some cool effects that we were blown away by! It was completely worth the price 100% We had a slight Disney theme to our wedding & Kris surprised my husband and I by adding the monorail spiel to the end of the very last song played. It was such a magical touch to the end of the reception & we even had multiple guests recognize it and smile! We cannot recommend Kris enough; he’s tremendously skilled & absolutely wonderful at what he does! We have no doubt we made the right choice & we wish we lived locally so we could use him again in the future for any other gatherings!

Book Kris now! He was so thorough with the planning process and made sure everything between flow, name pronunciations, and mood was perfect. He made adjustments as things went longer than expected and had open communication all night with my husband and I on any song requests/when we felt was good to play certain songs. He was upbeat, easygoing and made our night an ease. The dance floor was jammed the entire night and he always knew what song to pick if there was even a bit of a lull (which I’m not even sure there was one)! We have had so many compliments on how great he was, he was respectful of all age groups and knew how get all the generations out and partying. Thank you Kris for the best night ever!

We made a change at DJ at about 9 months out, and it was one of the best decisions in the planning of our wedding by switching to By Design Entertainment. Kris S. wowed us from the very start! Most of the DJs we interviewed were more interested in selling themselves to us, but Kris immediately wanted to know about us, our plans for the wedding, and took most of our initial phone call asking questions about how we wanted our wedding to go. It was really refreshing to talk with someone who cared and wanted to learn about us instead of pricing out his/her services and trying to validate why they should be paid that way. As for the planning portion, it was entirely seamless. He provided us with an app to help select music for various parts of the reception, as well as setting up the cocktail hour playlist. Pairing that with the timeline the venue gave us for all the aspects of our reception made everything flow perfectly! We were also able to pick songs for just about every aspect of the reception (we picked cake cutting music, shoe game music, etc.) and Kris was able to cue up exact portions of several songs for our wedding party introductions. It was executed flawlessly! Also, he picked up on various things throughout the night from the Best Man's & Maid of Honor's speeches and incorporated the Eagles Fight Song and a 80s/90s Boy Band segment to get people going! As for Kris' punctuality and professionalism, he is always on his A Game. He showed up when he said he would, and worked his magic with his uplighting and sound equipment to make our room look and sound amazing. Every bit of the night was right on cue, and we received countless compliments and praise on the DJ we selected and the quality of the music all night--praise that definitely belongs to Kris! In the short time since we've been married we have had a dozen people ask about our DJ, and some of those folks work in radio and at concert venues! Kris was some of the best money we spent for this wedding, and we really hope we get the pleasure of watching him work again soon!

By Design Entertainment was the one and only DJ service my now husband and I looked at. We booked them pretty much right away. We have absolutely no regrets! Since our first meeting with Kris, he made us feel extremely comfortable and answered all our questions. I even asked questions that was not related to music but general wedding stuff and he was a great help with that to! We had also booked the photo booth, which Heidi was running during our wedding night. She is so nice and everyone had a blast doing the photo booth. We absolutely loved our photo booth design; I still cannot get over how awesome/epic they are. Honestly I cannot rave enough how awesome Kris and Heidi are! Kris made my guests laugh and he even got some people I did not expect to dance actually dance. He has great timing when it comes to playing songs and announcing events throughout the night. Kris and Heidi made the night flawless. During my wedding day which was on October 6th 2018 there were other weddings at the same time but that night I felt we were the only ones there. As I mentioned earlier, we have no regrets and you will not either. Please do yourself a favor at set up a meeting. You will not regret it!

From the first phone call with Kris, we knew we had to have him at our wedding. Kris is such a fun, outgoing and kind guy that really helped make our reception so much fun. He helped us with our introduction to make it fun and lively and his attention to detail and desire to make sure everyone is having fun is unlike any other. His up-lighting truly transforms a room and we still can't believe how amazing our venue looked once his lights were set up. The photo booth was also a huge hit with us and our guests. We booked Kris & his team for music, photobooth, & lighting and everything looked and sounded amazing. We had a beautiful light monogram and uplighting that really transformed and made our ballroom so much nicer looking! The open air photobooth was a big hit and having the scrapbook is so much better than a regular old guest book, in my opinion. Kris was a great DJ and had everyone young and old dancing all night! He was very accommodating of our specific music requests and helped us pick certain songs that we were stuck on.

Looking for that perfect DJ for our Wedding was a big deal for us. After doing a lot of research DJ Kris, owner of By Design Entertainment, looked like he could be the right guy for our big day. We were not disappointed to say the least! Kris took the time out of his day twice to meet with us leading up to the Wedding. He listened to everything that we wanted. DJ Kris was truly amazing and kept the party going the entire night. He is not one of those DJ’s that just sit back and let the night go by. BOOK KRIS NOW! :) He was FANTASTIC and you can’t let an opportunity for him to DJ for you pass you by. Our first meeting with Kris was great. We discussed our vision for the wedding with him, and he played music along the way that demonstrated his style and how it would work with ours. For our wedding, we asked Kris play music from our giant list of requests, but the best part was that he incorporated them so well! My father requested “Thinking Out Loud” by Ed Sheeran, but didn’t tell me why. It turned out to be part of his father of the bride speech, and as soon as it was over, Kris invited the couples to the dance floor and played the song! I had no idea why my dad wanted that song, and Kris didn’t know either. Kris found the perfect opportunity to play that song and I’ll forever remember that. Another great touch by Kris was when he played the Eagles song after my sister’s speech. Both the best man and MOH speeches were sports-oriented and Kris got the feeling it would be a good time to play the song. It wasn’t planned, but it was fun watching as my husband went around the room cheering on the Eagles, with our guests getting just as excited. Kris even changed the uplighting to green for the song! All very nice touches! Kris also did a fun game to give away our centerpieces. His humor was great! We were making our rounds to our guests at that time, and watching them enjoy the game so much was a highlight. Kris was SUPERB and I cannot say enough great things about him. He was a delight from the first meeting, he went above and beyond with such small touches, and he really made our wedding day special. Thanks, Kris!

I'll be honest - while my fiance and I did a lot of work picking songs for our wedding, we spent a heck of a lot more time finding our photographer, videographer, venue, etc. DJ was almost an afterthought. I say this not to downplay how amazing Kris is, but to say that by the time I got to the point in my planning that we had to arrange either a band or DJ, I was tired of calling a bunch of places and going through hoops to get pricing. We had been stood up by another DJ company and I was honestly over it all. Enter Kris. After reading all of the great reviews, watching several videos of other weddings he's worked, AND (best of all!) being able to LOOK AT PRICING on his website, I was sold. We went for the DJ service plus the photo booth, and Kris took care of everything. Our ceremony went off flawlessly (we had several songs for each part of the processional/recessional), our reception was a BLAST, and so many people enjoyed taking photos in the booth. I never had a worry or care in the world. Kris was professional, incredibly friendly, and best of all (in a DJ) NOT CORNY. He kept the "DJ hype" chatter to a minimum and did a wonderful job mixing the long list of songs we requested in with his own selections. The dance floor was never empty, and we have HUNDREDS of photo booth pictures of all our guests enjoying themselves. Do yourself a favor and trust all his wonderful reviews. Kris is a gem!

I couldn't be more pleased with Kris and Steve from By Design Entertainment!! They did an amazing job at our wedding 2 weeks ago at Masso's Catering, in Glassboro NJ. Originally, Kris was supposed to be our DJ, so we met up with him at a Starbucks near our house about a month before the wedding to go over the music. We immediately clicked with him because he was so personable and sweet. He really made it a point to play music that my husband and I like, whether it was traditional "wedding music", or not. He made sure to write down names of bands we like, and really tried to get a feel for what music we would like to be played at the wedding. He was super nice, and great to work with. On the day of the wedding, Kris got in touch with me to inform me that he was unable to be our DJ that night because of a family emergency (totally understandable), and that he had an awesome replacement for us, Steve. I was obviously a little nervous because I haven't met Steve before, but I didn't let it stress me out too much because I trusted Kris. Well let me tell you, Steve was phenomenal!!!! He had my guests dancing all night, and played all the music that Kris and I talked about (and more) at our initial meeting. At the end of the night, when most the older crowd left, he played some songs from "A Day to Remember" and "Blink 182" that had our friends moshing. It was the most awesome thing ever. I've never seen that at a wedding before, and our friends had the time of their life. Steve was so great all night and was always making sure we were having a good time. Even my photographer was complimenting him, saying that he was playing awesome music. I'm so thankful for Kris and Steve for making my wedding a blast!! I wish I could relive that night again! I would recommend them to anyone. Steve and Kris are such talented and knowledgable Dj's, and they really know how to keep a crowd of all ages on their feet all night. I love you guys!!! By Design Entertainment was one of the best vendor choices of the many that we made for our wedding on 6/3/17. Kris and his team were beyond professional and knew how to get everyone of all ages up and dancing. Kris had great emcee skills on the microphone. He kept the party going for the duration of the reception. Everyone was loving the photo booth. His up-lighting was fantastic and set the mood and we were very happy that we went with that last minute decision. After researching a lot of other DJ services in the area, no one could beat By Design's price while having the type of reviews they had on the Knot. The price point was perfect for the amount of value they provided. They certainly lived up to their Knot reviews and we are very pleased with their services. We wish we could repeat that wonderful day. Strongly recommend Kris and By Design Entertainment for any event!

Kris and Steve were amazing for our wedding. Very reasonably priced and communication was quick and easy. They were able to accommodate a last minute change to our originally scheduled booking and they made everything stress-free and professional. I was recommended to By Design from my bridesmaid who used them at her wedding and I already recommended them to one of my other bridesmaids! Everyone was dancing and having a great time with their music which is what every bride wants!

My fiance and I met Kris at a friend's wedding a few months before our own wedding. We remembered how personable Kris was and his music selection was fantastic. We saved his information and reached out to him for our wedding. Kris and Heidi were incredible. We used his lighting and also the photobooth. Both of which were next level. I loved how they were both partiers, but very professional. Kris was perfect. He was very adaptable as to what songs would be appropriate and when. He couldn't have done a more awesome job. Not only was every single one of our 20-something year old friends on the dance floor the whole night, but so was our 85 year old grandmother. It's now two months later and our families still rave about the music and the way Kris transformed the entire tent with just a few lights. Kris and Heidi also offer an amazing value. I couldn't name something they could do better. These 2 made our wedding day beyond perfect. I would recommend them to anyone.

My husband and I could not have had a better DJ and Photo Booth team than Kris and Heidi. His music choices were perfect! He was always there with immediate responses whenever I emailed him. He even had some fun with our flower girl who was very interested in chasing the moving lights on the dance floor. Heidi was amazing running the photo booth. Our guests loved deciding which props to use and she was very patient with everyone and made the open air DJ booth a really fun experience. Everyone got in there at one point or another. I definitely recommend them for your wedding you really would not be disappointed!

Kris was very reasonable for our wedding reception and did a great job! He listened to what type of music I wanted and the way I wanted the wedding reception to flow.

Best DJ EVER! So many of our guests said how great of a DJ Kris was-they want to use him for their upcoming events now! He was so nice to work with and was always available to answer any questions I had. The music was awesome and he really got the crowd involved. Andrew was our photobooth attendant and could not have been sweeter! He made me laugh every time I was in there!
