As a bride, I did extensive research when deciding who we wanted to hire as our videographers. From the very first moment my fiancé and I watched their films, we were completely bl...
own away. Their cinematic storytelling is truly one of a kind—the intentional details, unique creative touches, and stunning camera quality immediately set them apart. Every film feels personal, emotional, and beautifully crafted rather than generic or rushed.
The entire process of working with Brooks and Angie was absolutely seamless. They were incredibly communicative, understanding, and genuine from start to finish, which made the planning process feel effortless. We never once had to worry—we always felt supported and confident that everything was in the best hands. On the wedding day, they were calm, easygoing, and so fun to be around, making us feel completely comfortable in front of the camera. Their entire team was phenomenal and blended into the day so naturally that many of our family and friends commented on how kind, professional, and approachable they were. Guests especially raved about the attendant running the video guestbook—how fun, engaging, and comfortable he made everyone feel, encouraging guests with prompts and capturing the most genuine messages.
They also went above and beyond by introducing a content creator into our package, which was such a thoughtful and considerate recommendation. We are so thankful they looked out for us in that way, because now we have even more videos and moments to look back on forever. It’s clear they truly care about giving their couples the fullest experience possible.
We’ve already watched all of our videos multiple times and somehow feel all the emotions every single time. They captured our day more perfectly than we ever could have imagined. The opening moments, drone shots, storytelling, and overall flow were absolutely flawless.
If there is one thing we did right during the wedding planning process, it was finding Brooks and Angie. Not only is their work stunning, cinematic, and incredibly intentional, but they are also genuinely wonderful people to work with. Their professionalism, creativity, and attention to detail made the entire experience feel effortless from beginning to end.
They also helped bring a video guestbook idea to life completely from scratch. From brainstorming the concept to executing it seamlessly on the wedding day, they nailed every detail. The final video guestbook exceeded all expectations—it was emotional, hilarious, and incredibly meaningful. Every single guest message was included (all 48 minutes!), and watching it felt like reliving the night all over again. Receiving it before the holidays meant so much to us, as we were able to share it with our families right away.
They even created a separate video of our vows, which brought both of us to tears. It’s something we will cherish forever. Knowing these videos will be shared with family—and someday with our future kids—makes them even more special.
For anyone considering working with these videographers: they are exceptionally talented, deeply thoughtful, and an absolute joy to collaborate with. They don’t just deliver videos—they create timeless keepsakes. This was, without question, one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. We are forever in debt to Brooks and Angie! Go book By The Gatewoods for your special day!
Both my wife and I have worked in the wedding industry, myself as a videographer, so we know exactly what it looks like behind the scenes. I've been a huge fan of Brooks and Angie ...
for many years, and they felt like the only choice for our wedding film. Though we'd exchanged pleasantries online, I actually hadn't met them until we met up over beers to chat about their services.
Brooks and Angie are some of the warmest people you'll ever meet. Right away, they bring you into their orbit and cheer you on. Video is one of the vendors who will spend the most time around you on your wedding day, and these two are who you want there. Of course their product is incredible (more on that later), but equally as important is the feeling you get when they're around. We couldn't speak more highly about these two.
We were fortunate enough to do a story session with the Gatewoods, all of us taking a quick trip to Richmond in order to perfectly capture the vibes that just didn't exist in Baltimore. We were SO pumped that they were down for the adventure, and fully trusted them with creative decisions. Seeing the reel they made from our time there brought us SO much joy!
Our wedding teaser is more than we could have hoped for. It feels so authentic to us - another reason why it was so important & special to connect with them before the big day! Our friends can't stop talking about how fun it is. The colors are beautiful, the pacing is flawless, and seeing the day from that perspective was so special. Brooks and Angie take such care to understand their couples' relationships and translate them to their films. We felt understood and seen. It feels so special to have folks get a peek into our lives and have them cherish and delight in our love story as much as we do.
If there's one thing I know for sure, it's that you should hire Brooks and Angie.
We cannot thank By The Gatewoods—the incredibly talented husband-and-wife duo, Angie and Brooks—enough for this incredible piece of art and cinema! From start to finish, they captu...
red our wedding day in the most breathtaking way.
From our very first call, we had an amazing experience. Their deep knowledge of the wedding industry, the video production world, and, most importantly, storytelling was immediately evident. As someone with over 10 years of experience in video production myself, I could instantly tell they knew exactly what they were doing. Their expertise, creativity, and attention to detail made us feel completely confident that our wedding film would be something truly special—and they absolutely delivered.
One of the most unique and wonderful experiences was the adventure session they suggested before the wedding. It was such a special time for us—not only did we get to create beautiful footage, but we also bonded with Angie and Brooks and shared our love story with them. This allowed them to truly understand us as a couple, and it absolutely showed in the way they captured our wedding day and crafted the final film. That extra effort and personal connection made all the difference.
The cinematography, lighting, angles, pacing of the edits, sound design, aerial footage, and graphics were all perfectly chosen and executed. Every shot felt intentional, bringing out the beauty and emotion of each moment.
Kim and I are beyond happy and feel so lucky to have had Angie and Brooks document our special day. We've already watched our film four times, and each time, it brings back all the emotions and excitement as if we were reliving it again. It’s something we will cherish forever. Every penny was worth the investment into a film that we can show our kids and future family for generations to come. The story of my wife and me will live on, shared and cherished by those who come after us.
I can confidently say that By The Gatewoods is the top video production company in the DMV area. Their passion, professionalism, and storytelling ability set them apart, and their work speaks for itself.
We truly wish Angie and Brooks the very best in their journey. With the level of talent, passion, and professionalism they bring to their work, their future is incredibly bright. There is no doubt that they will continue creating stunning and meaningful films for so many more couples.
Thank you both for your artistry, professionalism, and for giving us a wedding film that exceeds all expectations. If you’re looking for a team that truly understands storytelling and emotion, look no further than By The Gatewoods!
I had asked a lot of my friends what one thing was they regret not doing or having at their wedding. Almost all of them said they wished they had hired a videographer. So my search...
began!!!
I researched a lot of videographers and kept going back to BE Videography’s website. Every single one of their films gave me goosebumps and had me teary eyed. I could feel all of the emotions in their videos. They were all so beautifully done and they captured the most amazing moments of such an important day. I knew I needed to have them film my wedding day and I am so glad they did!
Brooks and Angie have been so amazing from the start. They are very responsive, so kind and down to earth. They are the best team to work with! My wedding video is everything my husband and I could have hoped for and I can’t wait to watch it over and over again and relive the best day of our lives!
I am so thankful to have found Brooks and Angie when I did. It was about 4 months before our wedding when I began to question a videographer. So many couples I spoke to voiced that...
their only regret was not booking a videographer to capture the day. I always thought photographs would be enough but I (eventually) realized that although photographs are gorgeous, they simply aren’t enough to truly preserve the days moments. I reached out to two teams and casually left it in God’s hands. I told myself if these teams were booked, then it just simply wasn’t meant to be. With such a crazy year of so many postponements and cancellations I knew many vendors booked up way earlier than normal so I expected both companies to obviously tell my last-minute self that I was crazy. Almost immediately the other company emailed back saying they were in fact available but something told me to hold off. I gave it a few days but I knew I was going to have to decide sooner rather than later. And then, I received an email from Brooks and Angie apologizing for their late response as they were out of the county. And there it was- my sign. I knew I postponed my decision for a reason. I knew I wanted BE Videography as my first choice because every single one of their videos made me cry (but I also understood I couldn’t be disappointed had they been booked). The way they captured every couple made me feel as if I personally knew them. I felt ALLLL the emotions watching every video they created. I really would just sit there and cry and tell my husband: “If I’m crying watching these videos, imagine ours”. They immediately sent over their pricing guide along with all the information I needed. We scheduled a call where they answered all my questions and got to know my husband and I as a couple. Everything with them felt so natural, from the conversations to how they worked as a team. They worked right alongside my photographer to ensure everything was in order. I cannot recommend BE Videography enough. They are professional in every aspect. They are prompt and hands down the most thoughtful, warm, generous, and BEST team. They a true dream to work with and I am so honored to have a piece of their work. The way they captured my husband and I feels so genuine and us. I still frequently watch our video and am still just as thralled with it as I was the first time I watched it. Moments already forgotten will always be forever engrained with us thanks to Brooks and Angie.
BE Videography is the best overall decision we made for our wedding. I’ve never understood why so many people go back and forth on paying a little extra to film their wedding. Phot...
os are great, memories are great, but having someone there to capture the full essence of the day is essential and really can only be done by talented videographers. Brooks and Angie are just that. They’re vision is undeniable, just watch a few of their films and you’ll see that. And film is the correct distinction, because it truly feels like your wedding day has been turned into a feature movie with their incredible cameras, shot direction, editing and musical touch. While all of that might sound overwhelming, it truly couldn’t have been an easier process. Brooks and Angie are so good at communicating and will make sure your wedding seamlessly translates into the video you’ve been dreaming of, all while barley being noticed throughout the day.
On top of all of this, these two traveled all the way from Maryland to Texas to be there for our wedding. They even came a few days early to spend time with us and really get a better feel for who we are as a couple. They’re incredibly committed to making these videos the best they can possibly be, in every aspect, and completely individualized for each couple that they work with. We couldn’t recommend BE more or stress strongly enough how “worth the money” their addition to your wedding is. Book em!
Hiring BE Videography was one of the best decisions I made while wedding planning.
Brooks and Angie crafted a video that was uniquely us. They picked up on little details that me...
ant so much to my husband and I - the audio of my sister singing "Here Comes The Bride", the flowers my dad planted in my garden, all of the fun and smiles of the day. I loved how they used the audio from my family priest to set the tone of the video.
Words can't explain how much we loved our video. Check it out! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JrueEvVItzI&t=2s
Day of, Brooks and Angie worked seamlessly with our photographer (Hannah Leigh) and truly made the video shoot fun and exciting. I felt like they were our best friends, they made us so comfortable in front of the camera.
When we weren't doing video shoots, Brooks and Angie really were in the background. You could barely notice that they were there and they still got the best footage!
Our video preview came out so quickly, and I was impressed at the speed of which we got our full video. I loved that the preview and the longer video had two different vibes! One was fun and captured the liveliness of the event, and the other was emotional, heartfelt and just beautiful!
Working with BE Videography is a no brainer- their professionalism, their craft, their storytelling is unparalleled. I highly recommend them to all!
When I tell you Angie and Brooks exceeded all expectations, I’m telling you they blew it out of the water with our wedding video. I literally watch it everyday and notice something...
new and smile and laugh and cry all in 5 minutes! They both are the sweetest most genuine people who have the best smiles to make you feel relaxed on your wedding day! My husband hates all things camera and he even admitted they made the process so easy! I felt like half the time I didn’t even know they were there but they captured every moment! They worked great together with all the other vendors and I am so so thankful I hired them because I feel like I have the best wedding video I’ve ever seen!
Angie and Brooks are hands down THE most amazing videographers and people!!
Honestly, I can't say enough good things about BE Videography. My husband and I got our wedding video b...
ack 3 days ago and we've definitely watched it over 15 times...it's THAT good! The intro is absolutely phenomenal and hyped us up. Then we sobbed throughout the rest of the video! Angie and Brooks captured all the laughs, smiles, and tears, and you can literally feel the love in the room (in all of their videos!)
Before I had even hired Brooks and Angie I was in awe of the raw emotion they seemed to capture. They get the coolest angles and their wedding videos are like mini movies! I definitely recommend spending the extra money to hire a videographer, there's just something about watching the most important day of your life back. Angie and Brooks aren't just any wedding videographers, they’re artists who make your day feel just as magical a month later when you're sobbing watching your wedding video and feeling all the feels.
On top of their amazing videography skills, Angie and Brooks are two of the most down-to-earth people you’ll meet. They’re so nice and welcoming, and they managed to be everywhere at once filming alllll the angles. They were super responsive when emailing and just made the process so smooth and easy. Thanks for everything, you two!
We used Brooks and Angie for our engagement shoot and the experience and resulting photos BLEW US AWAY. They coordinated a meet up on the beach just before sunrise and directed us ...
through a bunch of different shots. They were highly professional, but also made us super comfortable to be at ease and enjoy the experience. Because of that, our photos turned out completely natural and we are THRILLED at the result. The experience was one I'll never forget and we plan to frame and save some of the photos forever. 10/10 highly recommend these two!
We got married on February 29, 2020 -- right before the pandemic meant that gatherings had to end and we wouldn't be seeing friends and family for a long time. Our wedding day was ...
perfect from start to finish, but there were so many wonderful moments that my wife and I had forgotten about until we saw them captured on film. Brooks and Angie did an incredible job showcasing not just our love, but the vibrancy of our friends and community. We've been watching the video many times a day since we received it, and everyone who sees it says it's the best wedding video they've ever seen. If you're unsure about hiring a videography as we were at first, trust us -- it was one of the best wedding decisions we made.

ng us be ourselves. We never felt “directed” (in a good way), yet he still managed to capture really creative shots. The video is better than we could have ever imagined. We were blown away by the quality of the video and thought his song choice was absolutely perfect (we’ve added it to our playlists and still listen to it all the time!). Brooks totally exceeded our expectations and I highly, highly recommend BE Videography!!

worked simultaneously with our photographers making it as efficient as possible for all of us. Not only did we enjoy having him at our wedding our family and friends have had nothing but positive things to say regarding his professionalism. We have absolutely loved the videos we have received! We could not be happier with everything. Our videos will be something we have forever. I cannot recommend BE Videography enough! Really an amazing company!!

e day in a perfect video. From the start, Brooks made us feel comfortable, answering all of our questions, and taking the time to go over the day beforehand so he knew the important moments that we wanted captured. And on the day of the wedding, he showed up super early to take drone shots of the venue which were stunning. He really worked his magic, and some people didn't even realize we had a videographer because he was able to blend in while also getting amazing shots, some of which I was even surprised to see. Our wedding video still makes me cry to this day, the quality of the video is incredible and he really memorialized the day. The wedding video Brooks created was so beyond words, that we included the link in every thank you card we sent to our guests, and we received an outpouring of incredible comments. Everyone was so impressed. You will truly miss out if you do not hire Brooks for your wedding video. I am also grateful for hiring BE Videography because we were disappointed in the pictures we received from our photographer - something that caught us off guard. If we didn't have this wedding video that Brooks created, we would have been devastated. But we have an incredible video that we will be able to hopefully share with our children someday, and they will truly get a feel for the day, all thanks to BE Videography. Brooks, I can't thank you enough for all that you did on our special day. We will certainly never forget all of the hard work you put into our wedding video, and the memory that we will have forever. Thank you!!

video highlight!! Clearly my husband and I love it as it captures our Best Day ever but even after sharing it on FB I have had many people (some that attended the wedding and a lot that did not) come up to me and tell me that it is one of the best wedding videos they have seen... and that credit goes to Brooks! He is a true artist in capturing so many moments and then putting the flow of the video together with the right music, speeches and special moments all at the right time! Brooks is such a pleasure to work with and delivers high quality work!! I would highly suggest him for your wedding videographer! His video will help us relive the most special moments of our best day ever for years to come!! Thank you Brooks!

way to make sure that he got the littlest details in the video and he really captured our entire day in a 6.5 minute highlight video. The fact that he met with us before our big day to go over everything and then him and the second shooter were both there from beginning of the day til end- worth every penny! Should we ever need anything captured in video again, Brooks is our guy!
