I'm the mother of the bride and have been working closely with Colby for over a year. He is professional, responsive, and truly strives to make your wedding as special and memorable as possible. I was out of state and really appreciated him and the preferred vendors he provided. We rented 3 houses on property and cannot begin to say enough about how special the family time was and the closeness to the venue when making last minute decisions was. Hurricane Helene caused cancellations, rain and flooding but nothing could have dampened this beautiful wedding and venue. Colby came to my husband and I several times throughout the wedding to make sure we didn't need anything. We highly recommend Caboose Farm!

Colby was amazing to work with leading up to our wedding. He was quick to respond and answered everyone of my questions in detail. Katy was perfect during our wedding weekend. She was fun to work with and ran the whole weekend with great efficiency. My husband and I are glad we went with Caboose Farm for our venue. We also loved all the rental houses on the property.

Caboose Farm was the ideal place for our wedding celebration for several reasons: we love the mountains, the property is gorgeous, and there’s a weekend takeover option. We wanted our guests to have the option to stay onsite, and CF made that extremely simple for our family and friends to navigate. The majority came from outside the state of Maryland, some flying in from Washington State, Rhode Island, Florida, and South Carolina. Several of our guests traveled from other countries to be here for the weekend as well. Colby and Katy are clearly professionals at this, while maintaining personality and relatability. They made sure we were well situated to be able to have the outdoor ceremony and reception I’d dreamed of, even though spotty rain was in the forecast. Wedding planning can be such a stressful process and in the final stretch I really just needed to feel like we were in good hands. I never doubted Colby and Katy - they helped it all come together so well. It was everything we hoped for and more. We’re still riding the high over a month later. We look forward to visiting again soon!

Our wedding at Caboose Farm was everything we could have dreamed of. With friends and family traveling from all over, having the entire property with the charming Airbnbs was such a blessing. It allowed us to be fully present, surrounded by our loved ones throughout the weekend, and created a warm, intimate atmosphere. The venue itself was stunning and so peaceful. Colby and the rest of the Caboose Farm team, know their stuff and don't skip the details. They even made sure the mowing schedule (of the extremely large property) was aligned with our visit. They were attentive, accommodating, and went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly, making us feel truly cared for on such an important day.

We had an amazing weekend Caboose Farm with friends and family. The houses on property perfectly accommodated our out of town guests. The staff was amazing with assisting in our 2-day wedding event. All the stress of the event was relieved by their supportive and helpful staff.

Colby and his team from Caboose Farm are fantastic! From booking the venue to day of, Colby was on top of our questions and make sure that we had everything we needed for our big day. The open lines of communication, stunning wedding venue, and the positive environment of the staff drew us in and we wouldn’t have wanted to pick anywhere else from our wedding. The ability to stay at the venue multiple nights was a big selling point for us as well since it allowed our family from out of town and our entire bridal party to be together. The day of was spectacular and Colby and his team did a wonderful job of communicating with us through the weather and helping the day go off without a hitch! We really couldn’t of picked a better place to hold our wedding and we will be looking to come back for events in the future.

We loved our experience at Caboose! As stressful as weddings can be, Colby and his team ensured we had everything we needed to make our wedding a time filled with fun, laughter, and special moments with our family and friends. We got several messages from our guests after the wedding noting how beautiful the venue is and how professional and kind the venue staff is. I couldn’t agree more.

Colby and Katy are THE BEST to work with; very accommodating, helpful, and best of all - very responsive!!! (Quick replies to emails, and texts in the weeks leading up). We had creative ideas to try and they went with it; truly the day of went off without a hitch (who can say that)? Best part is definitely that everyone can stay on the property - we booked out the entire venue + 7 houses and split the cost by the number of rooms we could occupy which worked out perfectly! 32 rooms we used. It was like adult camp - up in the mountains, but still very easy to access. We did the ceremony at the "top of the hill" which was BEAUTIFUL. We got lucky with the weather (July) but there are backup options in case it's too hot or rainy. We had 111 guests (plus 2 photog, videog, DJ, etc) and did the whole dinner downstairs and it was absolutely fine! We paid extra to buy out for the weekend and had a chilled welcome party on Friday evening with lawn games. Main thing to note is you're responsible for all your own decor - so either plan to pay extra for a florist or a day of coordinator if you have a ton of decor - otherwise check in a day early and put up your own. The venue comes with day of venue coordinator (who communicates with your vendors), but they don't do decorations or cleanup (the caterers clean up). Also, I wouldn't put this much effort into a review if they didn't knock it out of the park, so here we are. One more note - we got married July 20th; if it was a week ahead of time it would have been a heat wave, but our weekend weather was PERFECT, high of 81 low of 67, no rain. I corresponded about once a month with Colby during my time leading up to the wedding. He always provided me with the information I needed in order to plan my own wedding. On the day before the wedding I met Katy who asked all the important questions to make sure the following day would work out flawlessly. In all my own frenzy I probably answered about 70% of her questions, leaving her to step in and work out the remaining details with limited guidance. Her professionalism and quick thinking for each scenario, even with a less-traditionally organized wedding meant that everyone was able to focus on enjoying themselves. My favorite part about Caboose Farm was there was so much flexibility around how we could organize each portion and overall schedule. This was a big breath of fresh air compared to many other venues with early cut-off times and other strict requirements around 3rd party vendors. Finally, the on-site accommodation was perfect given the location and all the out of town guests we had. Just make sure to consider which guests you're putting in the house which is a short drive away (compared to the other ones which are all walking distance).

We just had our wedding on 6/22 at Caboose and wouldn't change a single thing! The property is gorgeous, spaceous, and gives guests space to enjoy the views the day of! We had about 65 guests stay on-site at the houses and it was such a blast. All of our guests couldn't stop talking about how unique and enjoyable it was! Colby is absolutely amazing...he is great with communication and often has photos to help you visualize what your dream wedding can look like! We had a pizza food truck for our rehearsal dinner and it went so well. While it was very hot, our day was so magical with the help of all the staff at Caboose. The caboose on site is a great conversation starter too :) The houses on site have towels, linens, a full kitchen and baths, and plenty of bedrooms for your guests to stay in! We ended up having after parties both nights and it was so so fun to have all our guests right on-site to celebrate through the night. We had our ceremony in The Glad and the cocktail hour/reception in the even barn. Plenty of space for food and dancing for our 79 people. Honestly our wedding would not have been as perfect if we chose another venue so do yourself a favor and have your wedding here!! We can't wait to return in the future! My wife and I had our wedding at Caboose Farm this June. We hosted about 70 people on the houses on the property over the weekend and it could not have gone more smoothly. We were in constant communication with Colby over the year or so leading up to the event and he was consistently responsive and thorough. We definitely peppered him with questions often and Colby always responded in a timely manner and anticipated follow-up questions we might have. Working with Colby and his team allowed us to step back from the stress of the wedding weekend and really focus on enjoying the time with friends and family. Our guests loved the accommodations and were impressed with the cleanliness and how close they were to each other and to great hiking. If you're looking for a venue that is flexible, organized, and allows you to be hands off on your wedding day, we absolutely recommend Caboose Farm.

We are so grateful to have hosted our wedding weekend at Caboose Farm. We wanted a full weekend “experience” for our guests and everyone loved being able to stay on the property for the whole weekend. Our guests raved about this venue and everyone said this was different than any wedding they had ever been to, in the best way possible. It felt like we were at a summer camp! This was a casual, laid back venue, with so much natural beauty that we only needed minimal decor. There were so many great options for our ceremony site, and we chose to have a tent for our reception, although not necessary. Colby deserves his own review—he is the GOAT. Whenever there was a potential worry or problem, he had already solved it by the time we thought of it. He was diligent, organized, helpful, supportive, and honestly just a fun guy to be around. He alleviated so many stressors and ensured that our weekend that we planned without a wedding planner, went smoothly. We could not have imagined our wedding weekend going any better. We love Caboose!

Caboose Farms was the perfect fit for our intimate micro wedding. The venue coordinator, Colby, went above and beyond to support my husband and I in our planning. He was always quick to respond to my numerous questions and helped me with everything from our weather contingency plan to our timeline. On the day of, everything went seamlessly and the Caboose Farm team worked so well with my vendors to ensure our guests were comfortable. It was cold and rainy on our Spring wedding day and without question they went ahead and setup a warm coffee bar. It was the little touches like this that really stood out to us and enhanced the experience for everyone. As for our photo experience, the property offers a vast array of photo opportunities as it spans acres of land. It has every scenery you could possibly ask for- woods, meadows, streams, a small lake, and all of the beautiful historic houses on the property. We were able to use the Washington House for our Bridal Suite and it was so cozy and cute. We got married in the indoor space - the Main Event Barn and had our reception in the bar area. It was the perfect size for our 45 guest wedding, though they could easily host upwards of 100s of guests with their outdoor ceremony spots. Overall so happy!

We absolutely loved our wedding at Caboose Farm! We got married in September of 2023. We had our rehearsal dinner there on Friday and wedding ceremony and reception there on Saturday. I stayed at the Washington house with my bridesmaids and it was the perfect location to get ready for my wedding day. We rented the houses on the property for the weekend for the wedding party and family and friends and they loved it. It was so convenient and nice having so many people on the property. We really felt like we had the entire weekend to spend time with them and celebrate. The houses are all clean and beautiful. The property itself is so well kept and stunning, so many options for wedding photos. We also loved the different ceremony option sites and ways to have your reception. We received numerous compliments about how unique the wedding was and how beautiful Caboose Farms is. Also, Colby was amazing throughout the entire process. Truly, he made it a breeze. He was responsive, and so helpful and kind with answering our questions and requests. He manages the property so well, I never had to worry on my wedding day. He handled the vendors and kept the day running smoothly. I highly recommend holding your wedding, or any event at Caboose Farm!

My husband and I are so happy that we decided to have our wedding at Caboose Farm. The reception venue and ceremony options were stunning, scenic, and well maintained. Caboose offers numerous on-site home rentals, which we took full advantage of. Our families and us ended up renting 5 of the homes on the property. Each home was well maintained and beautifully decorated. Staying on the property truly made it feel like a destination wedding. Colby & Katie were so helpful in making sure everything went smoothly and was taken care of. They were so accommodating and responsive with any questions we had. I would recommend Caboose farm to any couples getting married.

I could write a novel on why you should choose Caboose Farm as your wedding venue. For starters, it is GORGEOUS. My husband and I got married hereOctober 2023, and it couldn’t have been a more picturesque location. You’re surrounded by the Catoctin mountains, and the fall foliage was such an added bonus on top of the already amazing views. There are several outdoor locations on the property you can choose from (in addition to the indoor event barn) to have your ceremony at. All are so uniquely different and beautiful. There are multiple houses on the property that you have the option to stay at. This was immediately a huge selling point. The houses are immaculate, filled with character, charm, and history-not to mention they are BIG, so you can fit so many of your wedding party, family members, etc in them. It truly gives you the whole “wedding weekend” package. There was something so special about arriving to the venue the Friday before and checking into the houses, knowing they were all yours for the weekend, and all of the festivities that would take place. At the end of the night when the reception ended, the guests that chose to stay in the houses could all come back. It was such a fun “after party” vibe all right there. Nothing was better than changing into comfy clothes, and continuing the celebration with your closest family and friends into the night. Our absolute number one selling point was Colby and his team at Caboose Farm. We toured the venue, and immediately knew we didn’t need to tour any others. Caboose Farm was, without a doubt, the one. Colby’s attention to detail is unmatched. We booked our venue just shy of two years before the wedding date, and in that time period Colby answered any and every question imaginable that I had. He ensured that our day ran seamlessly. From the morning of, and throughout the entire day Colby was on top of everything, communicating with all of our different vendors, making sure everything was coming together harmoniously. We took our wedding photos while our guests enjoyed cocktail hour, and he transported us, our photographer and videographer around the property to the best photo locations, making things extremely efficient, as well as keeping us on schedule. Since we missed our cocktail hour hors devours he even brought a sampler of them and a few drinks out to us and our wedding party during pictures so we wouldn’t miss out. Anything I could think of, Colby and his team were already two steps ahead. Our family and guests raved about how beautiful the venue was, and how overall fun it was that we could all stay on property. It really gave that “destination wedding at home” feel. Colby and his team are so genuine, and we are so happy with our decision to have our wedding here.

Having our wedding at Caboose in October was the best decision! Nestled in the beautiful Catoctin Mountains, it was the perfect setting for a weekend-long celebration. We loved having multiple location options for the ceremony and reception. The site we choose for our ceremony, The Glade, is absolutely breathtaking in the fall. Unfortunately, we had to move our ceremony indoors due to rain, but even the indoor space was beautiful and cozy. The Caboose staff were very flexible in figuring out our last-minute ceremony change. Colby, the venue coordinator, was so responsive and helpful at every step of the way, and was also so patient with my endless questions. He worked so well with all of our vendors, and his wealth of experience in this industry was very evident in all of our interactions. One of the big factors that made us choose this venue is the multiple homes on the property that are available for guests to rent. We knew would have several out-of-town (and even out-of country) family members in attendance, and we wanted to offer them an easy place to stay for the wedding weekend. All of the homes were beautiful, comfortable, well-appointed, and the views were gorgeous! It made it feel like a family reunion. One of the memories I'll treasure from our wedding weekend was the beautiful early morning walk around the backtrails around the property. It was so peaceful and lovely. Would recommend to anyone looking for a wedding where the outdoors are the star of the show!

Upon a sort of last minute request, Colby met with me to provide a tour of the property. We used the Rustic Barn for our 10 year anniversary celebration. He was so personal and accommodating. He made us feel very supported and provided for. The barn was welcoming to us as it had be cleared and set up for our arrival how we requested. There was welcome flowers and a heartfelt card. It was clean and the property is so beautiful. This venue is rated HIGHLY recommended by us!

Looking for a venue that is unique, spacious and gorgeous? With amazing staff that listens to you and is responsive? A place that will WOW your guests with amazing features and stand out views? Then stop looking because you just found it. Caboose Farms is literally amazing. A three story event barn featuring a BEAUTIFUL reception space with spiral (!!) staircase! A gorgeous bar with a movie theater! A third floor game room! And a wrap around porch to check out amazing sunsets in the mountains! Our coordinators, Colby and Nicole, made everything so easy from deciding on a ceremony location (there are 5 to choose from!) to walking us through rain plans to helping us come up with the best way to set up the reception area, they were with us every step of the way! They also gave us solid leads on amazing vendors that are familiar with their gorgeous property to ensure a smooth day! I literally cannot gush about what a great experience we had with them. Be sure to check out their rental houses too! It was so nice to be able to have the whole bridal party stay on site! What a great, great venue! 10/10 recommend! They helped us have the most magical backdrop to the best day ever

This venue exceeeded our expectations! Not only did our wedding turn out completely amazing on a rainy rainy day, but the staff was so accommodating on the day of AND throughout the entire planning process. Colby always made sure to answer any questions I had leading up to the day. All of the day of staff was so kind and helped in any way possible for a great night. I can't speak highly enough of Caboose Farm. From our first visit, we knew that having our wedding there would feel like our friends and family were at home with us, celebrating a wonderful weekend together. We absolutely loved working with the team at Caboose Farm to bring our wedding vision to life. Throughout the entire planning process, we felt cared for, and all of our questions were answered promptly. Colby worked with us through every housing need change, every detail request, and every silly question along the way. We truly could not have asked for more professionalism or service than we received. Every single staff member we interacted with was courteous, friendly, and went out of their way to make sure we were happy. Our wedding day was a beautiful, magical experience, and it would not have run as smoothly as it did without Caboose Farm. I can't imagine having our wedding anywhere else. We had a once in a lifetime experience of getting to stay on the property with all of our closest friends and family for an entire weekend, where we got to enjoy yard games, the fire pit, wonderful moments together in rental houses, and a beautiful wedding. I consider myself fairly hard to please when it comes to events, and I could not recommend a venue I didn't trust 100%. If you choose Caboose Farm, you will not regret it.

Caboose Farm is beautiful with so many great ceremony sites and picture opportunities. Colby is so personable and worked with us to make the weekend be exactly what we envisioned. The staff members were very helpful and everything ran smoothly. I would 10/10 recommend this venue to anyone that loves the outdoors! The on-site houses they rent are also a great way to have your family and friends spend the whole weekend together. It's not just a day here, it's a full experience!

I looked EVERYWHERE for somewhere with gorgeous views and something with accommodations that we needed and I promise, with zero exaggeration, Caboose Farm nailed it. I emailed just to get a little information and Colby instantly emailed me back and stayed in constant communication with me and I had not had that luck with any place thus far. He was extremely patient with my anxiety and questions and went above and beyond for us. We met to look at the venue and I was sold! It’s GORGEOUS! There are beautiful views in every direction and the venue is amazing inside as it is outside. My now husband was sold when he pulled up because the pictures don’t do it justice. And I’m telling you, he was not sold on any venue at all! It’s an amazing venue and I am so happy we found it. Our sons favorite part was the train of course and he will not stop talking about how cool it was.

We loved having our wedding at Caboose! Colby was fantastic in helping us shape how the weekend went, and Nicole was an excellent day-of coordinator. Being able to house our family and friends in the accommodations at Caboose meant we got to spend so much more time with them. Highly recommend it!

Caboose Farm is the BEST! From the moment we stepped foot on the property, we knew this venue was the one. It is so stunning (no matter what season), and so well cared for. There are so many ceremony sites to choose from (we went with the Hilltop Vista - it was perfect!), and the Event Barn is the best, most versatile place to celebrate - we hosted our rehearsal dinner, cocktail party, and reception there, and all our guests loved it! We rented out all 7 houses on the property for the weekend, and it was such a beautiful blessing to have all our closest family and friends so near to us the entire time. The houses are spacious, clean, and so cute, and we loved staying in them. We had the pleasure of working with Colby during the planning process, and he was incredibly responsive, kind, and so easy to work with. We had so many questions over the course of the 12+ months we spent planning, and Colby answered each one of them with understanding and generosity. When we arrived for the weekend, he even helped unload our cars! He's a standup guy and we felt so lucky to work with him. We are so happy and grateful to have celebrated our wedding at Caboose, and we could not recommend it any more highly!

I am so so so glad we chose Caboose Farm to be our wedding venue. First off, what a special place- we just loved the way it feels there. The property is so quiet, serene, beautiful, and well maintained. AND it is perfect to be able to have a true "wedding weekend" all in one place. From rehearsal dinner, to welcome party, to ceremony, reception, after party, and Sunday send off brunch -- it was perfectly suited to do it all. AND on top of all that, the majority of our guests were able to stay right there on site which just made for more quality time and more convenience. It's worth noting that we live in San Diego, so we planned this whole wedding from a distance and I think the number one reason that was possible was because we were working with Colby. From the very beginning when we first inquired about the venue, Colby's responsiveness and kindness via e-mail & phone is what helped us seal the deal, blind, from 3000 miles away. And that level of helpfulness continued all the way through the wedding weekend. Colby and his staff experience weddings almost every single weekend all year long- but they still somehow made our big day feel so special and prioritized. Colby was super accommodating and supportive, and was a great help throughout the event and in the hours leading up to it. We had an AMAZING wedding day (really wedding weekend) and I’m CERTAIN having Colby and the rest of the staff is part of what made it so great. Our wedding ended up being 97 total guests. We very comfortably had 11 tables + a sweetheart table and a great sized dance floor.

We got married at Caboose Farm on April 15, 2023 and I have been having trouble finding words to accurately convey how absolutely perfect our day was. We planned our wedding in about 6 months and the entire process with Caboose and Colby was FANTASTIC! Colby was so patient, understanding and accommodating. Seriously, I’m not sure if he said “no” about anything we asked - now maybe we didn’t ask to do anything too crazy, but regardless the sentiment still stands. He was very thorough, providing information throughout the entire process, answering my thousands of Type A, over-preparing questions and assuring me everything was going to work out! The venue was BEAUTIFUL - in addition to the stunning scenery, part of the reason we chose it was because of how peaceful it is and the privacy. You’re easily able to “disconnect” and just enjoy your wedding weekend without a bunch of hustle and bustle around you. Colby wasn’t working on our actual wedding day and as much as we would have loved to have him there, Katie and the entire Caboose staff knocked it out of the park! They were all so friendly, helpful and on top of everything especially with prepping for backup plans in case of rain. Things happened seamlessly behind the scenes and we didn’t have to worry about anything. It made our day so much fun and stress-free. We did have to switch from our outdoor ceremony site to the rustic barn and they let us wait until as late as possible the morning of to make that decision, so I could feel confident knowing it was the right decision. We still ended up with sunshine, and the sky was stunning at sunset making the perfect backdrop for cocktail hour. We also rented all but one of the houses on the property during the weekend and it was wonderful having all of our wedding party, family and out of town guests on the property to spend more time with us and not have to worry about transportation! The houses were beautiful, comfortable, clean and had all the essentials you could need while there. Seriously, I cannot say enough good things about their staff, the venue, the houses… if you’re considering CabooseFarm, put it at the top of your list to tour - you won’t be disappointed.

I cannot stress how absolutely wonderful Caboose Farm and the staff were since we booked the venue to our wedding day. Colby was PHENOMENAL, he was very responsive and worked with us with organizing everything and planning our dream wedding. On the day of he was constantly checking in and making sure I was good, and was so efficient behind the scenes that everything went as planned with no problems at all. I was also extremely impressed with the houses on the property, I loved having the option to stay at the venue and my family and friends could too. My guests had so many compliments on how beautiful the venue was and how scenic the location was. I highly recommend Caboose Farm for your event or wedding!

Many people say that as long as you marry your spouse on your wedding day, nothing else matters. While that is true to some extent, my husband and I's wedding would not have been as magical as it was without being held at the Caboose Farm. From the early stages of planning to helping make our dream wedding come to life to helping us clean up on Sunday the staff made us feel like we were celeberties. The staff at the Caboose Farm is TOP NOTCH! They are always working to improve the property and the lawns are always mowed to perfection! Katie baked in our clear reception tent all morning Saturday making sure every last detail was perfect as well as tying all 200 napkins (thankfully the cool mountain air cooled it down for our guests)! Colby handled literally everything for us so that we could just relax and enjoy our day. They were calling for rain the entire week and I never stressed over it because I knew Colby had a plan for everything. When it finally started raining just before our reception entrance, he was right there holding the umbrella for us as we walked to the tent. As far as our ceremony went, it was absolutely perfect! We chose "The Glade" as our ceremony location but there are so many to choose from on the property; even some waterfront locations! We had many out of town guests meaning we needed to have housing for them. This was one of the main reasons we went with CF. I'd say that 75% of our guests had the opportunity to stay on the property with us. Which I highly recommend!! It was so fun having a "Wedding Weekend" to enjoy oiur guests instead of on 6 hours. Every house at CF was extremely clean and the beds were so comfortable. Even the pull out sofa sleepers. Having grown up just down the road from the venue, I know how special "the mountain" can feel. The air is simply cleaner and calmer. If your looking for a rustic and romantic wedding venue tucked away in the Blue Ridge Mountains, the Caboose Farm is the place for you. You will not be disapointed!

Absolutely gorgeous property with housing, event barn w/2 levels & beautiful bar, smaller barn and room for tent if required. They have the best staff that are so detailed oriented - I swear they can read your. mind! They provide so much and they kept me (the mom) calm the whole weekend! The houses on the property are beautiful and so clean! I cannot say enough about this venue!

This place is so special. A must see for any event!

I could write a novel about the extremely positive experience we had with Caboose Farm. Our special event* exceeded every hope and dream we had and that was largely in part to the caring team at Caboose and their numerous accommodations and amenities. There are SO many perks to this place!! From multiple AirBnB options on site and a beautiful theater room (what!?) to stunning scenery and top-notch staff, we couldn't have asked for more. Big shoutout to Colby, Katy, Alicia and all the other team members who go above and beyond to make EACH guest feel like their number one priority. I have worked in events for many years and Caboose Farm's responsiveness, attention to detail, true to desire to accommodate and support is unparalleled. If you are looking for a magical venue that covers all the bases and will make sure your specific needs are tended too, CABOOSE IS IT! I highly recommend!!!!  (*While our event was not a wedding, it was a large celebration that utilized the space and numerous vendors very similar to a wedding experience)

Our experience with Caboose Farm and the staff was fantastic. Although our time spent there was not specifically for a wedding, it was perfect for our special event. And would be a beautiful space for a wedding/reception. Having the Washington House next to the beautiful event venue, made for such a convenient and smooth transition during our stay. We are very grateful to Caboose Farm and will cherish our memories there forever!

The Caboose Farm! Such a fantastic venue, and it is so freaking BEAUTIFUL!! We are locals to the area so we have seen the venue before, since we live around here. When my fiancé and I first got together and would mention weddings and what not, I would always say that I would want to get married there, but because it was so beautiful, I always assumed it would be way out of budget. But when we visited and found out the pricing, it was worth every penny. I would recommend this venue if you want a beautiful backdrop tucked into these beautiful mountains. There are so many spots on the property that are picture worthy. It is so hard to make a photo list when you are planning, because there are so many pretty places!! The event building where the reception was, is so pretty. And that makes it so much easier because you don't need to decorate as much since it has it's own beautiful properties. I would 100% work with them!! On top of the wonderful scenery, the people were great to work with! Colby and Kate were fantastic to work with, both super friendly, super nice people. Colby is who I worked with while planning and Kate was our day of coordinator. Colby was so great at answering all of my questions and concerns, and I had a lot of them... He would even answer ones that I asked multiple times, because I would either forget that I had already asked or I just wanted to double triple check on things. Kate, was so easy to work with the day of!! We had a rowdy group, and she rolled with everyone so easily, s friendly with everyone. Fun to work with and just helped make the day feel so much smoother. The Caboose Farm also has houses to stay in on the property, which was great to get ready in, we rented one for our wedding party for the night of the wedding, that way no one had to leave intoxicated. We rented one for the night of the wedding for us as well, and being local in a rural area, it was nice to have somewhere to stay other than our home. I would most definitely use them again!! We only had one small issue and that was with their appointed caterer, but Colby was easy to work with and allowed us to be flexible and hire someone else.

Colby and his team at Caboose Farm made our wedding so easy and simple. We knew as soon as we drove onto the property for our tour that Caboose Farm was perfect for us, but talking with Colby simply confirmed we were making the right choice! We arrived on Friday and were able to set up the entire reception hall and then celebrate with our family and friends the entire weekend. Colby answered all of our questions and was incredible flexible with helping us achieve our vision. I received so many comments from guests, family, and friends that I was one of the most relaxed brides they've ever seen and that had to do with the amazing staff at Caboose Farm. We wanted a venue that allowed us to show up and stay for the entire weekend and we definitely got that with Caboose Farm. I can't recommend it enough for all of your wedding needs.

We had a wonderful experience at Caboose Farm for our wedding! Colby was super helpful and patient during the planning process, and the rest of the staff (including Katie) were wonderful during our wedding weekend. Where do I begin? If you want a fairy tale wedding to come true, you need to choose Caboose Farm. This venue provides EVERYTHING you and your loved ones could want or need. We fell in love with Caboose Farm when we toured and couldn't picture our wedding weekend anywhere else. The views, the options for the ceremony, and the on-site accommodations are indeed a dream come true. There is no request too small. Colby has curated a very strong list of vendors to work with if you need the help and because of his attention to detail, the vendors LOVE Caboose couples. We didn't meet a single vendor that was not thrilled to be doing a Caboose Farm wedding. You're joining a very special family when you are a Caboose Farm couple. It is a feeling that helps you get through some of the stress of planning :) We planned our wedding in 2019, and then 2020 hit. We dealt with issues out of everyone's control, including the venue. As you can imagine, the process for us could have been a nightmare, but I will never forget how Colby and the venue owner, Peter, took the most excellent, kind, and thoughtful care of us. When a situation arose that may have caused us to cancel our wedding, not only did the owner call us personally, but he went above and beyond to offer us financial support if we chose to change venues. That heartfelt support and generosity are why we decided to move our date instead of moving venues. How can you not want to get married somewhere where the owner would willingly lose money because they feel so heartbroken that they were hurting a couple through NO FAULT of their own?! We were so touched that we came up with a plan and moved forward. A terrible situation was made BETTER by Colby and Peter and we are forever grateful. It was a once-in-a-lifetime situation outside of COVID. My husband and I were so moved and decided to stick with Caboose because of that outpouring of love, and we are thrilled we did. Our elopement AND wedding, that's right, Colby helped us coordinate a COVID elopement on our original wedding date, and then we had our wedding a year later. He was with us every step of the way and provided the highest level of service. He was behind the scenes and made every detail of our wedding weekend special. Our friends and family still talk about how beautiful and magical the weekend was. That was only possible because of the quality of service and Caboose Farm's care for its couples. It's so easy to have regrets looking back at your wedding, but choosing Caboose Farm was beyond the best decision for us. I guarantee we wouldn't still cry happy tears about that fairy tale weekend if we were married elsewhere. Colby is excellent, and he has an incredible team. I can't say enough about how much we loved our experience and how far out of their way they are willing to go to make your dreams come true. I wish we could do it all over again!

Caboose Farm was the absolute perfect choice for our wedding this past October 2021. Colby was amazing and so so attentive to any questions we had during planning and anything we needed on the day of. A beautiful venue with so much to offer - from the multiple ceremony site options to the perfect cocktail area and spacious reception space. This venue is perfect if you are looking to be in nature on your big day. 100/10 would absolutely recommend Caboose Farm!!

We had a perfect wedding weekend at Caboose Farm! We booked the Event Barn and surrounding 6 houses for our September 2021 wedding and couldn’t have been happier with the gorgeous location, wonderfully attentive staff led by Colby, and delicious catering by Monica Kelso. We started looking for venues in January 2021 and knew we were looking for a location with beautiful outdoor space, plus a lot of flexibility in terms of numbers, since we weren’t sure what Covid would dictate for our September wedding. We opted for the full weekend package, so we were able to have our rehearsal dinner on the farm Friday night and a farewell breakfast Sunday morning – it was great to work with just one venue for all the events and so nice to have all the linens, tables, chairs, etc taken care of as part of the base price. We had a lot of family flying in for the event, so we loved that we were able to house several of them right there on the farm. The houses are large, comfortable, and well-equipped with the basics. We worked with Colby to have a tent for dinner and dancing to keep the event outdoors as much as possible – it turned out great! The weather was ridiculously perfect (72 and sunny) and our guests thoroughly enjoyed having so much space to roam around. Colby is an exceptional coordinator to have on your team – he was quick to answer our (many) questions and had fantastic recommendations for other vendors to work with. He and his team were super helpful the weekend of and kept everything moving along smoothly.

Caboose Farms was a great venue for anyone looking for a rustic yet elegant event! The location was great for having friends and family in from out of town as they have onsite housing to accommodate up to 70+ people. The weekend was amazing and everything we hoped it would be! The staff was attentive and great but I have to say the Property Manager's (Colby) personal attention and help was amazing. He was more than accommodating and was there with solutions for all our questions and concerns. Colby did an outstanding job and helped us happily celebrate the best day of our lives (so far) so thank you! I'd highly recommend this venue for anyone looking for a outdoor location that also provides touches of elegance and beauty.

If Caboose Farm has a weekend open for your wedding, book it now. Seriously. We wanted a relaxed wedding that gave us plenty of time to spend with our friends and family. Caboose Farm’s six houses, hiking trails, and gorgeous landscaping gave us a Labor Day weekend of incredible family and friend time! I cannot sing the praises of Colby, Katy, and their team enough. They were always calm, organized, and incredibly kind to work with. I even got an email from my DJ after the wedding saying he was amazed at how kind the staff was. One of the caterers at our rehearsal dinner mentioned she was getting married at Caboose Farm next year, and we both gushed at how much we loved the venue! Caboose Farm offers so much flexibility to make your wedding completely your own from the ceremony location to reception location to which houses you stay at to the timeline of the weekend. All the 5 star reviews are true! This is the best venue!

Caboose Farm was the first venue that I toured with my now-husband. It was secluded, quiet, absolutely stunning, and very close to Frederick and Thurmont. When we walked into the Event Barn and saw the cocktail hour space, we totally fell in love. Colby greeted us and he was so attentive and answered any and all of our questions. We drove the property and it felt like I fell more and more in love with everything I saw! We cancelled all our other venue tours and decided we would sign a contract that same night. Colby answered every email, text message, and phone call that came his way. It always felt like he truly CARED about us and making sure we had the wedding we wanted. There were some minor issues in the beginning that Colby and the property owner handled very professionally and QUICKLY. Rehearsal evening was held on the property and it was a torrential downpour. Colby walked around with an umbrella and helped us carry boxes of décor, etc. into the barn. He even allowed us to use a more spacious and covered space on the property to make sure all our guests were comfortable (and dry). You can tell Colby loves the property and cares about his couples. Katy, my GIRL, was an absolute life saver on our wedding day. We had some very minor hiccups the day of during set up and Katy went above and beyond to correct them. She answered her phone and started making calls before she was “on duty” for the day and made sure we had exactly what we needed. She navigated family members, helped make sure set-up went accordingly, and kept us on schedule. I can’t thank you enough for everything you did to make sure Paul and I had “our day”. Taylor, you were everyone’s favorite person that evening! Thank you for keeping all our guests happy and making sure no one was ever thirsty. Our guests absolutely raved about the venue. We were told it was the perfect size and so convenient. Everyone loved the tractor ride to the ceremony site! We highly recommend staying in the houses on the property and making a weekend out of it. The houses are meticulously kept and it’s so nice walking a few feet to your room when the wedding is over. No worrying about transportation or a hot, long bus ride! Thank you to all the staff at Caboose Farm that made our wedding dreams come true. We love the place and can’t recommend it enough to couples looking for the perfect place to get married.

I was a COVID bride... this was actually the third date that we had picked. During that whole process Colby was nothing short of incredible. He worked with us to reschedule a few times. We were FINALLY able to get married and the wedding was amazing. They went above and beyond... everything seemed to go pretty smoothly and they made it less stressful on me.

My daughter got Married here on June 19, 2021. Colby Stouffer and his entire staff were awesome. They met all of our needs for our very large wedding of 250 guests. The caterer , Monica Kelso and her staff were also top notch! I would not have changed a thing looking back on the day! Highly recommend this venue!!!!

Caboose Farm was the perfect venue for what we were looking for and Colby was an absolute pleasure to work with. There were so many options available to us regarding the ceremony site, reception site, rehearsal dinner set up, etc. We chose to have our ceremony off site but it was a relief knowing we had the farm as a backup with various locations. Our rehearsal dinner was held in the event barn and our reception was spread out utilizing the event barn and tent outside. You can practically make any vision come to life at Caboose because of all the different locations and Colby will help all along the way. In October the fall foliage is perfect on the farm. The colors were so vibrant and were the perfect back drop for our photos. Everyone was in awe of the scenery and how beautiful the venue was. And, you can't forget the Caboose. The Caboose made for some of our most memorable photographs. When you choose Caboose, you also get an amazing caterer. Monica Kelso really can make any dish you love. From cocktail hour to desserts, everything was amazing. Monica has so many ideas and will make sure your dishes are a true reflection of what foods you love. She catered both the rehearsal dinner and the reception. The bbq (brisket, pulled chicken, and sides) on Friday was absolutely amazing but she definitely out did herself for the reception (Beef tenderloin was perfection!). Even Nana complimented the gnocchi! Additionally with the venue, there are 6 houses on the farm. Our entire bridal party and both immediate families stayed on the farm for the weekend. It was the perfect setup to see our family and friends as much as possible. Everyone hung out at all the houses together both Friday and Saturday night. When you pick Caboose you don't just get an amazing venue. You have the beauty of a country/mountain scenery, you're able to surround yourself with family, and you become part of a new family that helps the planning process that less stressful. Colby and Caboose family were amazing and helpful every step of the way!

Caboose Farm was the perfect venue for both our wedding ceremony and reception! We chose the venue for its choice of beautiful ceremony locations and because of how versatile the reception hall is for all kinds of events. The reception hall is its own building located directly on the property that includes an upstairs cocktail area that opens up to an outdoor entertainment deck, movie theater, operational bar, game room, and lower reception hall that has beautiful stone walls that give the hall a unique feel. Colby, the property manager, and all of the staff was very receptive and professional with all of my questions and concerns, especially related to COVID regulations and changes. Although you have to use Monica Kelso catering when having a reception at Caboose, her food is to die for and she worked with us via multiple phone calls and a tasting to make sure our menu is exactly what we wanted and within our price range. An added bonus is that Caboose has multiple houses for rent on the property, so we were able to rent a house for us and the wedding party to stay at after the reception so we could continue our celebration. We highly recommend this venue for any couple looking to get married!

My husband and I had been planning for over a year to have a large wedding in New Orleans, LA, where I am from. However, our wedding planned for the Spring of 2020 has been indefinitely postponed. We still wanted to get married and have a small, socially distanced ceremony with our close friends and family near our current home in Baltimore Maryland. I found Caboose Farms and reached out to Colby to see if we could rent the Jefferson House and conduct a small ceremony on the property. Colby replied immediately and we spoke on the phone the same day. He welcomed us to the venue the next week so he could show us the various ceremony sites. There were so many picturesque sites to choose from! The day before our wedding, Colby and his team set up chairs at the ceremony site and dropped off tables, chairs, and linens to the Jefferson house for our reception. As Caboose Farms has many properties, we were able to safely house our friends and families while keeping everyone social distanced! This was really important to me, as I wanted to protect the health of all my guests especially our parents. The day of the event, the event manager stopped by our property to see if we needed anything and offered to transport our guests to the site via golf cart. There were also grounds keepers on site who were available if we needed anything! Colby recommended a local caterer, Celebrations Catering, who delivered individually packaged meals for all of our guests. Abloom flowers created beautiful greenery to decorate the wooden arch that is on the property and Nicholas Sullivan photography captured our special day! Caboose Farms and our other vendors created such a special day for us that exceeded all expectations. We were able to work with everyone to plan the wedding within one month and the wedding was affordable. We are looking forward to our "I Do Redo" when the pandemic is resolved, but are so thankful for the opportunity to have a ceremony closer to our original date.

Covid Wedding Success! The Adams House and The Eisenhower Houses are much larger inside than they appear from the outside. We had 16 folks from 7 familes. Plenty of beds and bathrooms. So clean and peacful. Colby was super attentive - highly suggest this over a hotel!

I cannot recommend Caboose Farm enough! We were one of the lucky couples that had to replan our wedding for June 6 due to all of the COVID chaos. Originally we planned for our wedding to be held at an upscale hotel in DC, but we quickly had to change course about 8 weeks before our wedding. I happened to find Caboose Farm through Airbnb - we were looking for a small 'venue' to celebrate our wedding with just our immediate families that also had accommodations available. Colby, the property manager, was so wonderfully responsive to my initial (and many subsequent) inquiry/ies, assuring me that we could still pull off a wonderful wedding in the beautiful setting of the Caboose Farm. We couldn't have chosen a better venue!!! - we rented the Washington and Jefferson houses for the weekend and held our wedding outdoors on the pond, with the reception outside of the Jefferson house. We chose the best vendors and the best venue = our wedding was even more perfect than we could have imagined. Everyone (including us) loved the houses that were perfectly equipped with everything you could possibly need and it was just a picturesque location. The pictures on their website just don't do it justice! If you're looking for a location for an intimate family wedding weekend or even a larger one (they have a few more houses plus an event barn that we didn't even use), don't hesitate to reserve your date at the Caboose Farm!!! <3

Caboose Farm is a delightful location for a wedding and for photos. We kept it small and safe but were treated royally by Colby and all the staff. Monica is a great caterer and it was really nice to have clean spacious accommodations. The Zoom dance party with guests on the big screen was a crowd favorite. So many special memories were made - it’s like a destination wedding without the travel or expense.

My now husband and I learned about Caboose Farms on a facebook page for couples whose wedding was impacted by the coronavirus pandemic. Feeling lost and down about our previously cancelled 120 person April 2020 wedding and feeling unsure about what the future held, we stumbled Caboose Farms' generous "small intimate wedding ceremony" package offered to COVID-couples. Colby acted as a compass in guiding us towards our dream "mini-mony." He took us on a tour of the property and ceremony locations with our families and offered us reassurance throughout the process that we would have a beautiful wedding despite the circumstances being different than we imagined. In addition to a variety of beautiful locations for your ceremony, the property also has a number of private houses for rent - meaning that we were able to get ready onsite and have a small reception with our guests the day of. My grandma (who means the world to me) was even able to be a part of our day because the property and house we selected allowed for social distancing. In touring their property, we were able to see just how stunning it would be for a larger event, too! It's easy to picture your wedding at Caboose Farms - with a ceremony in the glade or by the water and with a reception hall that has everything you could want (including a game room, mini movie theatre, a cosy bar for your cocktail hour, a versatile reception hall for you to party all night, and places for your guests to stay). Caboose Farms allowed us the chance to celebrate our wedding our way (which in a pandemic means more than you can imagine). Thank you!

We found Caboose Farm during our struggle to find a new wedding venue since COVID cancelled our original plans. I am 100% serious when I say that Colby at Caboose Farm is an angel on Earth. The compassion he showed us while we navigated this difficult time can not be described with words. He went as far as setting everything up and running the music during our ceremony. The property is beautiful and there are so many options for ceremony location and photos. Even though our wedding day wasn't where we planned or with whom we planned, I really could not have asked for a better wedding day. It was absolutely perfect.

We are so happy we had our wedding at Caboose Farm! Colby and the whole staff were incredibly nice and helpful. Colby answered all my questions over the months of planning and was very flexible about what we wanted, providing helpful suggestions too. Despite not having rented the reception barn for Friday, we were able to set up our décor the night before, which took a lot of stress out of the day-of events, and the finishing touches the staff (led by Katy) completed were spot-on. The setting is beautiful and the ability to have family and the wedding party stay on the property make it such a great venue. It was so convenient to have a place to stay and get ready all right there. We loved the unique features of the caboose, the hay ride, and the seclusion... and our guests did too. You are required to use their caterer. Now, the food is amazing so that’s not a bad thing, but they only do a couple seasonal tastings. We didn’t realize that until after we’d booked the venue. We ended up having to set our menu without ever having tasted any of Monica’s food. She is also quite busy and can be hard to get in touch with, so the catering was a little more stressful than it needed to be, but it did work out in the end and it was worth it to have amazing wedding food. Several guests commented that it was the best wedding food they’d ever had. It’s also unique that you get to plan a menu from scratch, which turned out to be a great way to make the wedding more personal, featuring foods that we love and represent us. A couple areas where we felt they could improve: We had planned to use the game room for the guys to get ready, but it seemed like it hadn’t been cleaned and it was very hot/stuffy, despite the staff telling us it would be cleaned up for the guys to use. We got the impression no one had been up there in a while. Some of the furniture was also in poor condition. The guys didn’t end up using it. We also let them know well in advance that we planned to have a keg of our favorite beer. However, the day of the wedding, the kegerator wasn’t working and they didn’t have a back-up hand pump. Had we not brought one as our own back-up, we wouldn’t have been able to serve our keg. Overall the positives far outweigh the negatives and we are very glad we chose Caboose!

We held our wedding at Caboose Farm initially due to the beautiful landscape and convenience of the on-property homes available to rent. Upon our first communication with Colby, we knew we were in great hands. As we continued to work together, Colby made us feel like his #1 goal was to make sure our wedding day would be more than we could have dreamt. And, undoubtedly, he makes all of his guests feel the same way. Colby clearly gets great enjoyment from his job and truly cares about the farm and its guests. Through our planning, we had many questions and Colby was always immediate with response and was always a great sounding board for ideas. Colby introduced us to Monica and the on-site catering team and they knocked our socks off! Monica also took the time to chat on the phone with us on many occasions, was in frequent email and text communication and was always available for discussions. Additionally, the food was incredible! When you have your wedding, or any event, at Caboose Farm, it feels like you are with friends and at home. The homes are beautiful and decorated with impeccable taste. It was an incredible experience and we look forward to returning to the farm for reunions, anniversaries and hopefully one of our guest’s weddings! We have been to many weddings and bias aside as it was our own, Caboose Farm (Colby, Monica and their team, including security) made it the best one we have been to! Have your wedding or any event at Caboose Farm and you will be beyond happy!
