I used Flour Power years ago for birthday cakes when I lived in NOLA and remember the white chocolate strawberry being the best cake I had ever eaten. I was so glad to see they still do cakes and I was able to order one for my destination wedding. We had the hazelnut chocolate on our top layer and the strawberry cream cheese for the bottom. They copied a photo I sent from Pinterest and it looked and tasted amazing! Thank you so much for our wonderful cake!

The staff was friendly and responsive. The cake looked exactly like the picture I gave them. Tasted amazing. Everyone raved about the cake. Good recommendation on size needed for my reception. Highly recommend.

My sister-in-law used Flour Power for her wedding and groom's cake, so my husband and I decided we would too. One of our best decisions surrounding this wedding. We are still getting compliments on the cakes! We went in for our cake tasting, and obviously loved every flavor we tried. It worked out in our favor because since we were expecting at least 300 people, we knew we would need a lot of cake! We ended up going with several flavors (wedding cake, fresh fruit, strawberry Bavarian, carrot cake for the groom's cake, strawberry almond, and butter cream). Also, the option is out there to do a "fake cake" which could almost cut the price of your wedding cake in half! Once we looked through her look books and gave her our pictures of what we wanted, she was able to give us a mockup of that the cakes would look like. Although we were happy with the mockup photo, it did the actual cakes NO justice! The groom's cake was shaped like and looked like a king cake. Our wedding cake looked better than even I could have imagined. Mrs. Ronda and her husband Doyle did a fantastic job for our wedding. We were more than thrilled when we arrived to the reception to see our cakes. And the tastes of the cakes? Ha To die for! My husband and I plan to order a small version of our wedding cake for our first year anniversary! Highly recommend Flour Power for any occasion!

I used Flour Power for my groom's cake. Ronda worked with me to create the perfect design to surprise my husband. They quickly dropped off the cake on time, and even added a little bit of light to make the design on it pop! Everyone was really impressed with the design and how cool it was. On top of that, their cakes are DELICIOUS. Tons of compliments on how good this cake tasted, and there was almost none of it left by the end of the night!

Ronda did an amazing job putting our ideas into beautiful cakes! Instead of doing a smaller cake with a sheet cake in the back for guests to enjoy, she came up with the idea to do "satellite cakes" - 4 small cakes of different sizes and heights - to serve the same amount of people. It ended up being close to the same price, so we went with that option. I am so glad we did because we (and all of our guests) were completely blown away!!!! We had beautiful cakes with ruffles in ombre mint going from light mint to dark mint with the most detailed coral sugar flowers and edible pearls all around! It was amazing and way better than anything I could've ever imagined! Ronda is a genius with the vision of the cakes, and her husband is the best baker ever! Not only were our cakes beautiful, but they tasted amazing! Our cakes tasted and looked better than many cakes I've seen all over New Orleans - and we paid significantly less! I'd highly recommend Ronda to anyone wanting an amazing, tasty, unique wedding cake to match your personalities and exceed your vision, because that's exactly what you'll get!

I'm a wedding cake fanatic. There is no cake like wedding cake. period. There is no wedding cake like Flour Power wedding cake. I tasted cake from almost 15 vendors and none compared. We brought them a unique idea and they had no problem putting it together and working with the other vendors to make it all happen. We had 7 different flavors for our guest and every single one of them was fantastic. I'll be getting any specialty occasion cake from them, they are that good!

Very nice when we went in for the consultation, but I think I have a pretty good sense of when things are a little shady and that's exactly what I felt. They were almost too eager to do whatever we wanted and promised that they would not give up our date without checking with us first prior to us paying the deposit. We needed a few weeks to have the money necessary for the deposit and in that time our date was booked without our knowledge. It was only when I contacted them to let them know the check was going in the mail that I was told that the date had been booked. For anyone looking for someone to make your cake, there are way easier bakeries to work and less expensive.

My sister got married in May, and we decided to hand out mini wedding cakes for her favors. Choosing the bakery was a no brainer, because Flour Power was the ONLY one who could do it. Period. The 200 mini cakes were done in 4 different designs in the Bride's colors (yellow) and packaged in clear containers with yellow ribbons. The favors were literally a never-before-seen item by most of our guests and they knocked their socks off!!! If it weren't for Flour Power, this "mini" dream would have never been a delicious reality. I know Flour Power comes with a little longer drive for the tasting and design meeting, but it will be worth the trip when your guest can't stop talking about the cake. Thank you to Ronda and Doyle. This would not have happened without you.

My caterer recommended Flour Power and I am so happy I chose them to design our wedding cakes. Ronda is extremely easy to work with and allowed us to create our ideal wedding cakes. When we scheduled our tasting, we were provided with a wide variety of cakes aside from the traditional wedding cake. Everyone raved the strawberry Bavarian cheesecake and there definitely was not enough of my husbands chocolate raspberry mousse grooms cake. We ended up ordering a small 8" cake for ourselves after the wedding because our guests did not leave us any leftovers. Flour Power is very affordable compared to other quotes we received and the taste is by far superior.

Flour Power Confectionary is amazing, we can't say that enough about this vendor. The service, the cake, the quality of everything was simply amazing and we were lucky to have discovered/used them for our cake needs! After doing some costing, looking from bakery to bakery, etc. We decided that with the total cost it was better for us to go with the Faux Cake vs. a more traditional ones. It allowed us a bit more play in the design that we wanted for the cake, and still enough to feed our guest. Meaning, basically, more of what we wanted without breaking the bank and making the wedding more "ours". Flour Power was first on our list for this, simply based on their website of flavors and concepts. After contacting them, we also clarified that we could bring in ideas via pictures, to get a more accurate design on the cake. We also got to pick 3 different flavors for our tasting. We were greeted as soon as we walked through the door, then seated. The owner brought out our samples (mini, maybe 4 - 5 bite, cakes) from the flavors we had selected, as well as some books with different ideas/cakes they had done before. Every sample we had was delicious, and we kept taking multiple bites to compare... although we had a VERY hard time making up our minds! However, we did FINALLY settle on the chocolate strawberry shortcake! Combined with the design books, and our pictures, she provided us an excellent sketch/concept for the final product. From there she would take care of everything, all we had to do was give/mail her a cake stand if we wanted a specific one used (although, very nicely, she offered a generic one with the understanding it would need to be returned after the service). We mailed her our own though. And nothing else was needed. She delivered and set up the completed (beautiful) faux cake, and the main cake (to eat) was stored away ready to be served to guest after the cutting ceremony. We couldn't have been happier. Cake looked and definitely TASTED amazing. Positive reviews not only from us, but all of our guest as well. Could not have asked for more, and HIGHLY recommend Flour Power for anyone's venue!

OMG! If I could give Flour Power 10 stars, I would!! The cakes are gorgeous and taste absolutely amazing! I'm not exaggerating that it is the best cake I've ever had..many of my guests agreed as well. Our cake was gone which is something you don't typically see at weddings. Ronda is wonderful to work with and so patient. She let me meet her the week of my wedding to do my cake tasting. I'm so happy with my choice in going with Flour Power!!

Our cakes were soooo good and fresh! We actually ran out of the wedding cake at the end. We didn't to the traditional fondant (bc it's gross). We went with a buttercream icing covered in white chocolate curls. The grooms cake was a 3D tobacco bottle filled with carrot cake. Both were very good and very beautiful. My only issue was they are a bit hard to get a hold of. The best way is through email, and then you have to sit and wait for her to get back with you.

We LOVED, LOVED, LOVED our wedding cakes! Rhonda was so much fun to work with and was very accommodating to our vision. We opted to have 6 cakes with 6 different flavors because they were all amazing! Our guests raved about how moist and flavorful all of the cakes were! We found their prices to be very reasonable as well! Flour Power is THE BEST bakery in New Orleans!!! We could not have been any happier!! :)

We used Flour Power for our wedding cake and groom's cake and are SO pleased that we did! We went with the strawberry almond cake with buttercream frosting and it was to die for! Our guests are still raving about it, including our wedding photographer, who said it was the best wedding cake she had ever tasted! For the groom's cake, I went with a fishing motif and the chocolate mousse for variety. Both cakes were moist and delectable. The groom's cake was very realistic looking, and Ronda was very flexible with the various design schemes I was toying with during the wedding planning process. Use Ronda and Flour Power for your wedding or other event, you will not be sorry you did!

Worth the drive to Chalmette! Seriously the best cake I have ever tasted. Every sample was delicious; I went with the traditional wedding cake with a fresh fruit (berries) filling. I am still getting comments on how good our wedding cake was! Rhonda was laid-back and easy to work with. I brought in pictures of the cake I liked from Pinterest, and they were able to make an almost identical cake. It was exactly what I had imagined! They also delivered the cake to our reception site the day of. I would recommend Flour Power confectionary to anyone looking for a cake that is not only beautiful, but tastes delicious too!

We chose a two tier wedding cake and the groom's cake from Flour Power. They were both wonderful. The groom's cake was amazing (a replica of the groom's fishing boat). I received many compliments on the beautiful finish of the cakes, as well as, the taste. Everything was better than expected. The cakes arrived on time and looked amazing!

Instead of the traditional wedding cake, I went with 4 of the gourmet cakes this company offers. They did not offer german chocolate on their menu (which was all my husband wanted) and they were able to make it for me with no problems. All 4 cakes were amazing.They decorated them on plates that I gave them and put supports in the cake that had the topper sitting on it. I was able to save a good bit of money by choosing the smaller cakes and having someone in the family pick them up. I could not ask for a better experience. People are still talking about how great they tasted and my husband and I have all intentions of making a trip back to New Orleans for future anniversaries and getting a cake from them again.

We used flour power for our wedding cake, but our choices were a little non traditional. We chose to do 6 different types of cake (each 6 inches)including one wedding cake for us to cut. They were easy to work and very well priced. I dropped off the cake plates the week before and they delivered the cakes on the cakes plates the day of the wedding. The cakes all tasted so good and I know every guests had 6 pieces of cake that night! I received so many complements on the cakes from all of my guests. I will for sure purchase cakes from them again.

Cakes are pricey here, but worth the money! So delicious!

I couldn't have been more happy with how my wedding cake turned out! Rhonda was an absolute pleasure to work with, I knew everything would work just fine after our first meeting. I heard so so many compliments how the cakes tasted throughout the wedding. The groom's cake was just as amazing. I wanted something unique and I was given just that. If you want a vendor you can trust to give you a great product and a great working relationship then defintely choose Flour Power!

I had a 4 tier cake with 3 different flavors. The cake was delicious and it looked gorgeous. Flour Power did a great job!

Our cakes were exactly what we wanted. My husband had an exact Saints' helmet replica, and it looked like an actual helmet. The flavors are so unbelievable, and the staff was beyond helpful.

Ronda was awesome to work with. She is one of those people that it seems you've known your whole life. She was very helpful through the process and easy to get ahold of. The cake was delicious. We didn't want a traditional 'wedding cake' taste so the strawberry white chocolate cake was refreshing and perfect. We used a "fake cake" option to cut down on costs. This worked well. We also found out several months before the wedding that the groom had a flour allergy. Flour Power provided a wonderful little cake for us to cut for the ceremony that was gluten free. Above and beyond expectation.

Flour Power did an excellent job with our wedding cake. I handed Rhonda a picture from a magazine and it was even more beautiful than I expected. It was one of my favorite things from our wedding. They also offered a faux cake option that saved us $200 and NO ONE would even notice. We had the cake already cut up in the back so it helped with expediting the serving process for our seated dinner and helped save a few $$. And it tasted great too! Lemon with butter icing...yum!

When Lee and I went in for a tasting, the cakes were great!! Ronda was very nice and we knew we had found our baker. Our 2nd meeting, she stood us up and no one ever answered the phone. When my cake FINALLY arrived the day of the wedding I was very much let down. We gave them our invite to mimic the scroll work and "H" on the cake and they apparently lost it or threw it away because it wasn't there. The icing on the strawberry almond tasted funny, according to some guests. Overall, our perfect baker in the beginning ended up being one of my biggest disappointments in the end.

I loved my cake! It was so pretty, and tasted so good as well. We had a great experience with Flour Power. We tasted cakes at many places, and theirs was the best. Other places had just as pretty details, but didn't taste very good, or vice versa. We felt Flour Power was the only one that was both gorgeous and tasted amazing! It was a little higher priced than others we looked at, but you definitely get what you pay for!

They have amazing cakes. I fell in love with their bananas foster cake at French Quarter festival. They made my wedding cake and grooms cake. The cake was exactly how I asked and the cakes were delicious.

They made my wedding cake and groom's cake. The wedding cake was exactly what I wanted, and the groom's cake exceeded my expectations (an oyster pirogue, which my now-husband LOVED)! My only complaint is that they were a little unresponsive after I signed the contract, but the cakes were reasonably priced (and they provided the cake stand), tasty and looked beautiful, so it all worked out in the end!!

My guests ate every single bit of cake! Everyone said how delicious our wedding cake was! If I had it to do over I would not have had a fake tier on the bottom because our guests would have eaten more if there had been any left! It was beautiful too!

We used Flour Power for both the wedding cake and the grooms cake (served at the rehearsal dinner). They helped us design the cakes and had great suggestions. And the cakes were absolutely delicious!
