Cafe Gabbiano

We had made reservations at Cafe Gabbiano for 8.30 PM after our sunset wedding on Siesta Key Beach and was warmly greeted and shown to our private room in the Wine Room, It was nicely decorated and intimate for our party of 9, waiting staff were great, happily attended to everything we needed, kept our glasses full and served each course promptly. Our meal was lovely, I had broth soup to start, Lemon Sole with Risotto for Dinner and even squeezed in Tiramisu for Dessert along with Rose Wine and a few cocktails all which went down very well :-) My whole party loved everything they ate and can safely say this was a great choice for my after Wedding meal. Prices I thought were reasonable for the food we received a lot better meal than some of the other places we had visited on the key but as they say you get what you pay for and next time I’m in Florida will defiantly be paying a visit back at Café Gabbiano x thanks for helping finishing our day that extra special bit.

Our wedding went so off course from our original plan, it's amazing how smooth it was. A HUGE reason for this was Cafe Gabbiano. We decided to have a destination wedding in Siesta Key during March. Due to location, we had several items that needed to be delivered to Siesta Key prior and Cafe Gabbiano allowed us to use their address and stored our fragile items. (Such a relief!) With our wedding plans, we had an amazing set-up with a beautiful arbor and lots of fresh flowers. But, Mother Nature came blowing in. Not only did it rain on our special day, but the entire week! It came down to a last minute decision to have the wedding in doors and Marc was so gracious to allow us to use the restaurant. Not only did they allow us to set up our arbor, and fresh flowers, but they made the process as painless and stress free for an already anxious bride. There was plenty of assistance from the restaurant to help the photographers, cake delivery, coordinators, and guests. The set-up ending up being beautiful. They even had a music doc that allowed us to have our own playlist playing throughout the ceremony and dinner! Focusing on the more important piece, as well as Cafe Gabbiano's true purpose: the food. It was amazing. Beyond amazing. It was the talk of the entire week. My husband and I picked out the menu, with Marc's help, and chose to go with family style dining. I was so worried there wouldn't be enough food and how good it would be. It was just phenomenal. We had everything from veal, to shellfish, to chicken, and everything in between. It was all fresh and wonderfully prepared and presented. There was something for everyone and plenty to go around as well as take home. I owe such a big thank you to Cafe Gabbiano, Marc, and Peter for making my day so lovely. For a type A bride, veering so far from a year's worth of planning, this could have been catastrophic. It was everything but. My husband, our families, and even I believe our wedding was more beautiful than we could have ever planned.

Marc at Cafe Gabbianos helped us to feel at ease in planning our destination wedding. He ensured that the night would be amazing, and was there to make it happen! The ambiance, service, staff, wine and food were fabulous. Our guests raved about it!
