informational call. We had the option of choosing our individual DJ or filling out a survey and being matched with someone when our event got closer. We chose the latter and got paired with Nathan. We then filled out an in-depth survey about our tastes and preferences for each portion of the day and reviewed that with Nathan on a video call a couple of weeks before our wedding day. Nathan did a spectacular job on our wedding day. He was really familiar with our venue and closely followed the plan we came up with for pre-ceremony, ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and reception. I was especially grateful that he trimmed down all of our chosen songs for grand entrances and planned dances (at our request!) so that we didn't have to do that ourselves. We got so many compliments on the song selections from our friends/family. Nathan kept the dance floor going the entire night. We had a relatively smaller group at 65 guests, and given that, I was admittedly a little nervous about the party vibe lasting, but it ended up being the complete opposite! The energy didn't die down for a single second, and we all had so much fun!

Rasheeda told me that her goal was for me to not have to worry about music all day and I not only didn't have to worry about it, I had so much fun!!! She also took some crazy last minute requests from some slightly intoxicated friends and mixed them in. I can't emphasize enough how much fun it was, she was the absolute best. Loved working with her.

entire process. They truly have the process down and make it very easy to understand the order in which everything happens. We paid the extra fee to select our DJ up front and selected DJ Demchuk (Daniel) after listening to some sample audio clips. I cannot say enough how great Daniel made the experience for us. Not only did he attend our final walkthrough in person (also accompanied by another member of the Cage team) but he also made us feel so great about our musical preferences and was just genuinely excited to perform at our wedding which really put us at ease and made SUCH a difference during a pretty stressful planning time. Daniel also held a final call with us in addition to attending the walkthrough. Finally, on wedding night, he absolutely crushed it. We got so many compliments from our guests on our wedding music. I would not hesitate at all to hire Cage and DJ Demchuk for your wedding and other events! If we ever host a party again, we will absolutely hire Cage and DJ Demchuk!

th Nathan Pierson (DJ Ligo). He was PHENOMENAL! He brought passion, heart, and so much energy to our dancefloor for the full 4 hours. We couldn't recommend Cage and Aquarium more. If you get the chance to work with Nathan in Chicago or elsewhere, do not hesistate!

They sent out a very long but detailed survey a few months before the wedding to help match us with the best DJ and it was very helpful for us to go through the process and think about what we really wanted to hear during our wedding. Once we got assigned our DJ (Luis, aka DJ Rawzhel) he met with us the week of the wedding to cover our whole day as we used the DJ service for the pre-ceremony music, the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and the reception. DJ Rawzhel absolutely nailed the music, both timing wise and genres. We got so many compliments on the music and the DJ from our guests and he was so great to work with. All of the songs we asked for were played and he filled in all of the blanks perfectly and kept everyone dancing the whole night. Our photo booth was also a big hit at the wedding and our guests loved that they could send the photos to themselves. The photo booth technician was very helpful and kind and very patient with the guests.

DJ Ligo (Nathan) was so awesome, all the sound was perfect, and he kept the vibes high during our brunch wedding. We couldn’t be happier and our guests raved about our tunes! Our wedding planning experience was fantastic, we started with a personal preference and music selection survey coupled with a 1 hour virtual meeting with our DJ to go over every specific detail from the songs we prefer (and do not prefer), the vibe we sought out, and the pronunciation of our wedding party names. We could not have felt more prepared going into our wedding with our DJ and music selections. On the day our of wedding, we experienced some last minute changes, moving inside from outside due to weather issues and Trevor and the C&A team could not have transitioned any easier and less stressfully. Trevor has the perfect temperament of a wedding DJ, energetic and gets the party going when needed yet also quiet and touching in some of those softer moments of a wedding event. Also, by selecting the turntable upgrade, we were truly able to see Trevor do what he is best at and incorporate his artistic take on the music and play to the vibe of the party. Not to be forgotten is the amazing quality of the uplighting and photobooth (out guests could not get enough of the photobooth - it was a true hit, and the photobooth staff was terrific) If we got to do it all over again, we would do it exactly the same! work with. People were raving about our music and the energy of our dance floor and people are still telling us how much fun they had. Tyler was so amazing, he nailed the exact vibe we wanted and I literally didn’t leave the dance floor all night because of how good the music was. He also nailed the vibe for what we wanted during our cocktail and dinner hour as well and he was just such a delight to work with. Shelley was our photographer and we’ve just received our sneak peak photos back and wow they are gorgeous. Shelley was perfect for our day, she was so professional and knew just what we needed to do when. I could feel her experience in this field and it made me enjoy the day more because I wasn’t worried about our photos turning out. Her second shooter was also so great and brought a lot of energy to the shooting sessions. Our day was so perfect and so much fun and Tyler, Shelley, and their team were a huge huge part of that.

very thoughtful. They recently began offering a ranked choice DJ selection and offered a variety of DJs & their mixes for you to listen to in advance which I greatly appreciated. We chose DJ Ligo (Nathan) and he was FABULOUS. He threw us a great party and hit on a variety of genres + hits that got our guests on the dance floor. Nathan was also very flexible and patient as we wanted to start our dance portion of the night by playing the drinking game Thunderstruck. He did research in advance and gave us specific suggestions about how to do Thunderstruck with such a large group, which helped bring our vision to reality in the most perfect way. If you want to hire a great DJ company, go with Cage and Aquarium. If you want your dance floor to be legendary, pick DJ Ligo.

My husband and I are both musicians and most of our guests were, as well, so music was super important to us and he nailed it. Nathan even recorded some important moments throughout the night that we didn't have recordings for from anyone else, and having those videos is so precious for us. expect over the course of the next ~year. The directions for filling out our music preferences were easy and actually a fun couple activity. And when it all came down to our DJ assignment (we let them assign at random), we had good vibes from Marcos at the jump. Day of, it took a bit for our dance floor to warm up but once Marcos got our vibe, he really hit it and the floor was aliiiive. His announcements were fire and he was a great addition to our big day. Would recommend.

to our big day and the transitions between our spaces went seamlessly. Our one main request of Trevor was that we wanted everyone dancing the whole night, and he did not disappoint. The dance floor was packed the whole night and he played music throughout that mixed our personal favorites along with crowd classics to keep everyone grooving through the hours. One thing you sometimes get with DJ's are bad transitions between songs, but Trevor clearly knows what he is doing because it felt like one neverending wedding themed song! On top of his amazing DJing and MCing, Trevor was also so kind and great to work with. Working with the rest of the C&A team was also a delight as everyone that we spoke with was extremely kind and professional throughout the whole process. We additionally hired on Aaron from C&A as our primary photographer and he and Tarin were wonderful to work with as well! They were both so kind and easy going with us (which is what we had wanted) and made the photo taking portions of our day fun and stress-free. We have not received all of our photos back yet, but what we have seen so far look beautiful! Overall our experience with C&A was one which we are extremely happy with and highly recommend the whole team to anyone looking for wedding vendors!

We asked for some edits to our first dance song and Daniel made it happen flawlessly. He also sent us a full track list from the wedding within a few days so we can relive the party over and over. DJ Kevin executed every specific detail that we asked of him, even the specific little things like skipping straight to the chorus for our grand entrance song. You can't go wrong with this company!

nd was able to both MC the reception for major events like cake cutting, toasts, introductions but more importantly knew how to throw down a fantastic wedding DJ set. She was able to avoid all our musical distastes including the dreaded corny line dancing, and was able to play a wonderful set filled with some of our favorite songs, a blend of the musical genre spectrum, seamless transitions, precise scratching, and pack the dance floor with all of our guests spanning all ages. We highly recommend working with Cage and Aquarium for your DJing needs and in particular Chelsea, cause for our wedding night they provided such a fun, enjoyable party vibe that all weddings should envy! In terms of cinematography, we had AJ and Vin working with us as a couple for the whole day. AJ and Vin made us very comfortable to be ourselves around them and provided some lovely suggestions and tips for particular video shots they thought would look great for the movie. AJ and Vin were both so kind, so friendly, and so helpful throughout the wedding day. They were such a blast to work with and we enjoyed having them capture our wedding day and look forward to seeing the memories they capture with their work product. I would highly recommend Cage and Aquarium for your cinematography and videography wedding needs!

event and the day of the event went above and beyond. He nailed every important song and our dance floor was PACKED the whole night. With a crowd with mixed ages, he handled it well giving different music that spanned generations as well as honoring our request to cater to our musical tastes later in the evening. We received so many compliments on Kevin's great music selection and his high energy the entire event. He even took a treasured behind the scenes video of us of our family lining up before we walked down the aisle. He captured all of our nervous energy while cheering us all on. Beyond his skills, Kevin is just an incredibly kind, thoughtful and caring human being. He truly understands the power that music can have to create a moment in time at an event and we never once worried about music or audio since we knew Kevin was the utmost professional and had every single detail covered. Cannot thank the Cage + Aquarium team and Kevin (DJ K. Sity) for playing such a BIG part in our BIG day.

ng! Nathan met with us via Zoom before the event and went over all the music selections thoroughly. We weren’t sure what specific artists we wanted, but he was able to pick up on us as a couple and provided recommendations based on what we like/dislike. I am a big Swiftie and my husband loves the National. The first song during cocktail hour was their collab track - when I heard this I knew it was going to be a great night. Nathan played all our must plays and none of our do-not-plays. He even checked in with us during the reception when guests requested songs that didn’t quite fit the room. I’ve gotten so many compliments on the music and people saying “it was banger after banger!” We wanted a millenial dance party and that’s exactly what we got. Nathan even got our guests in their 70s to dance to WAP and Ludacris. Wish I had another wedding to hire him for! He kept the party going and it was so fun!

nd Aquarium was friendly, willing to answer any questions we had, and professional. I emphasized that I wanted two-step/90's country music at our wedding, and they delivered, while still making the atmosphere and dance floor accessible to everyone. I requested not one, but two parent dance songs that were a mash up of two songs, and Luis was kind enough to offer to send me samples of the transitions so I could hear it and approve before the actual reception. Luis kept the party going all night, and there was never a moment when people weren't on the dance floor or a lull was felt. He was extremely professional the entire time, making sure the guests speaking were prepared, and all the equipment worked without issue.

Trevor was extremely detailed oriented in the weeks leading up to the wedding, especially in our initial meeting in walking through the run of show. He honed in on the nitty gritty and offered his professional insight to make for a very collaborative process. He took the time to really listen to what we were going for and was able to recommend music we had not even thought about, no easy feat for a fusion wedding. During the wedding day, he showed up early, left late, and helped ignite a dance floor that was bursting at the seams. His preparation was remarkable and he brought just the right energy to our special day. I have a lot of admiration for the professional he is and how seriously he takes his craft, but also - he's such a great guy. C+A was great to work with, particularly Shelley, who was very responsive and helped make it a smooth process. Bravo, team!

were running smoothly, took time to get to know us and what we envisioned and made it all happen so perfectly! Everyone loved him and all that he did for us. AJ and Vid were our videographers. They worked great alongside our photographer. They were both patient, so respectful and friendly. Everyone loved hanging out with them.
