The most incredible wedding venue. Truly had the most beautiful reception here, the staff is so great to work with, and the venue is even more breathtaking in person. However the pricing for this venue is incredibly misleading, everything is a separate cost, and since catering is a separate company, there is separate venue fees. Catering prices they mention are also inaccurate, more like $200-250+ pp. Venue fees + tent, plus lighting + draping, additional hours to get ready + outside vendor fees etc easily put venue costs $15- 20K depending what you want. Also, we had 200 ppl and if we couldn’t use the outside space for cocktail hour, etc it would have been tight inside in my opinion, for a venue that says they can accommodate 225. However, I’ll say even though it’s more expensive than a more “all inclusive” wedding venue it is worth every cent, truly a one of a kind venue.

I do recommend renting the venue out for the full day so you can get ready there because the pictures turned out amazing.

When hosting your momentous occasion at this property, you can benefit from endless indoor and outdoor celebration possibilities. If you're dreaming of a classic, indoor event, you and your beloved can choose between six historic rooms. Your selection includes the great hall, the living room, the library, the music room, the dining room, and the billiard room. Alternatively, happily-ever-after events can also be hosted outdoors. The venue's lawn can be set up with a clear or white-top tent, depending on your preferences, for a memorable open-air occasion. For the convenience of those attending your wedding, complimentary parking will be available.
Cairnwood Estate can comfortably accommodate guest lists of 250 people or fewer. The venue's experienced team has thoughtfully designed a reception package for engaged couples to consider when organizing their special days. With it, you will have access to your chosen event space for five hours. Additional hours, up until midnight, are available upon request. What's more, the estate's team had created a list of recommended caterers to further simplify the planning process.

s unparelleled. The estate grounds feels like you are transported to a European oasis only a short drive from Center City Philadelphia! It is so beautifully unique. Secondly, the Cairnwood/Sage staff were so professional, responsive, and made us feel completely at ease and cared for throughout the entire process. We were surprised with a hurricane the weekend of our wedding and the Cairnwood/Sage team completely handled the inclimate weather conditions and it didn't detract from our experience in the slightest.

utdoor and indoor areas. It takes about 45 minutes to get here from Center City Philadelphia which was great for many of our guests. The women that coordinate the events, Krissy and Nina, were extremely responsive and very helpful throughout the entire year I was planning our wedding. Cairnwood provides an extremely valuable list of recommended vendors which helped us to have the most perfect day with vendors that knew the property well.
Like all venues, there were a couple downsides that one should take into consideration before booking. The biggest by far is that Cairnwood is a reception only venue which means that you'll need to find another nearby venue with your date open and coordinate all the things that go along with having two separate venues. We were unable to get married at the cathedral on property and we were told that the cathedral hosts only a few non-parishioner weddings per year. Another thing to consider, though not a huge deal, is that the venue is in a very residential town so there are no amenities nearby. The closest large hotel is at least 20 minutes away by car. Something else to consider is that Cairnwood requires you to choose from a very short list of their caterers. The food and service were excellent, don't get me wrong, but it should come as no surprise that their partner caterers are about as expensive as wedding food gets so there will be no saving money in this area if you book here.
Overall, our wedding here was incredible and we know that our guests will talk about this storybook venue for years to come. We ended up spending a very significant amount of money on this wedding, which to us was well worth it, but buyer beware that you will be spending well over 50k on your wedding day if your reception is at Cairnwood.

Everyone we worked with at Cairnwood was really nice and friendly, Laird (who gave us our initial tour) and Krissy (who we dealt with throughout the planning process) were great to work with. Krissy was always very responsive to our emails and willing to jump on a call to discuss any planning questions we had. Cairnwood also has 3 preferred caterers from which you can choose from, we can only speak for Sage, as that's who we went with, but they were amazing. The food was great and the staff was very familiar and comfortable with the venue which all led to a very smooth reception. We found Cairnwood estate to be a great location for our wedding reception! It was a little pricey once you piece it all together but felt very worth the cost, as the photos turned out beautiful, the venue coordinators were flexible, and planning went smoothly! We are looking forward to return to Cairnwood for one of their seasonal events. :)

ver seen! They really helped me bring my wedding vision to life. The staff are so nice and super responsive to e-mails and phone calls and can help you with a variety of things like picking other vendors etc!
They helped me organize everything amazingly. They even let me come see the venue a few times so I could get ideas, practice my first dance etc! They let you drop off the week of the wedding for your alcohol, decor etc. The only thing I would say to [plan ahead for is your ceremony, as they don't allow ceremonies at the venue, it's just for receptions. There is a cathedral next door, but sometimes they are booked for other ceremonies on the day you may want to have your reception. I did run into that issue where the day we booked for our reception, the cathedral next door was not available for a ceremony which was a bummer because it's beautiful and right next door. The Cairnwood girls did send me a list of other locations that could perform the ceremony but they were all booked sadly, I think mainly because everyone had moved their wedding due to covid. so I had to have the ceremony at The Arts Ballroom in Philly, which is beautiful but further away than I would have liked but its all that was available. Also be aware, that you are not allowed to get photographs with the cathedral in the background. Overall, I 100% would recommend this venue and wish I could re-live my wedding night again! It's such a unique venue and so beautiful for photos. My guests talked so much about how they felt they were in a castle and somewhere other than the USA! So grateful we picked this venue for our reception!

mansion lends itself to a unique wedding day with an intimate but elegant feel. The set-up of the bride and groom dressing rooms made for a memorable and comfortable morning. Our guests enjoyed cocktail hour, mingling out in the garden and wandering through the different rooms of the house. Dinner on the back patio was lovely, with romantic views of the cathedral and mansion. We ended the night with dancing in the great hall. Truly spectacular-- we felt whisked away to a different time!
In addition to the beautiful details of the estate, Cairnwood's approach to the wedding day allows for customization based on your preferences and budget. It's more of a "build-it-yourself" wedding venue, in that you bring in your own vendors. This means more planning but also more personalization. The staff were very helpful in offering suggestions and guidance throughout the wedding planning process. We felt they were truly invested in helping us achieve our specific vision.
We loved Cairnwood so much that we now attend other events throughout the year (Christmas Tea, Valentine's Day) to reminisce on our special day. We feel so lucky to have been a Cairnwood couple! Thank you, Cairnwood!!

ed. We honestly looked at this venue first did a tour and the next day knew we wanted to get married at cairnwood. We did a November wedding and it was amazing! One of the things we liked originally was that we were planning on having 50 people which Cairnwood has no minimum required number of guests so it would have been fine. We ended up have 80 people and it didn’t feel empty at all! Everything was set up perfectly! They pay attention to detail and we had someone with us the entire day to ensure it ran smoothly! I would do the wedding all over again at Cairnwood!

t up outside the mansion -- looks gorgeous in pictures and as guests arrive at Cairnwood! We loved the tent, well lit with the 3 chandeliers, while providing a nice dinner atmosphere. The grand staircase allows for awesome entrance for the bride & groom. The great lobby is an amazing spot for your first dance. The entire venue provides beautiful backdrops for your photos - at any time of year! Clean restrooms (very important). Plenty of restrooms for guests to use between upstairs and downstairs (170 guests). Beautiful bridal suite. Guests loved walking/looking around all of the different rooms and upstairs. We made use of most of the rooms of the estate which was great! Karen Spire Catering provided delicious food - guests loved the meal and apps! The service at both Cairnwood Estate & Karen Spire Catering is wonderful, very courteous and easy to work with! They made the venue booking process easy and were able to accommodate & answer all of our questions throughout the process! I would absolutely recommend Cairnwood Estate to anyone, at any time of year!

They were so helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them to do. We used the recommended vendors and so glad we did because they knew the house and just blended in with the house staff.

y throughout the process. The house manager Laird was equally helpful and made the entire day run smoothly. He checked in periodically to make sure everything was running smoothly, and it always was! We absolutely loved that we are the only wedding or event at Cairnwood that day and that we have the run of the venue. Our guests have been raving about reception and how they were not "stuck" in one ballroom for the entire night. Our wedding truly felt like a fancy party or gala. Our guests were all over the house having a wonderful time chatting, dancing, eating and having a merry time. No one left early because everyone was comfortable! Cairnwood allowed us to create little nook and niches for people to chat and party. As bride and groom it was even easy for us to be able to visit with our guests while partying at the same time! I love how Cairnwood let us bring in our own decorations - we put pictures of us all over the house including on mantles, bookshelves, tables etc. It allowed a personal intimate feeling to the space. I cannot recommend Cairnwood enough! We also LOVED our caterer Karen Spire whom Cairnwood recommended. More glowing reviews on her on her own page!! Thank you to Cairnwood for a perfect, magical, romantic and FUN evening!

I loved that. It was so unique and beautiful. The staff were helpful and followed up often to make sure all details were planned ahead and on schedule. I would highly recommend this for the perfect fairytale wedding scenery! We ended up with a snowstorm on our wedding, the pictures were beautiful.

f, was seamless, professional and so well coordinated. Their staff is absolutely amazing. The estate and the grounds are kept pristine and beautiful despite the snowy mess a few days before. It was a magical night for us and one that all our guests were raving about. The staff that helped assist our caterer were the nicest and most accommodating people. This place is a step above in all aspects and would highly recommend this to anyone near and far.

ready, photos, accommodating guests, and very hospitable. The staff was amazing as well; met us early in the morning at 6am and provided everything that we needed, was always responsive to our emails, and flexible on our time and needs. The building was always open for us to visit/drop things off, extremely convenient as we were coming from out of town. We used Karen Spire Catering (one of the preferred vendors), and she was amazing to work with. The food was delicious, guests said it was the best they had ever had at a wedding. They were accommodating to our preferences for menu, dessert choices, and last-minute table changes. Took care of escort/table cards, coordinated day of very smoothly.

tholic church then traveled to Cairnwood for our reception. For that many guests we went with the tented terrace for dinner and were so glad we did. It was absolutely gorgeous. Guests were able to eat dinner under the stars with the clear tent. Cairnwood is such a unique venue- it's reminded us so much of Downtown Abbey with its multiple rooms. Guests could not stop raving about it! We have nothing but good things to say about the venue- it really is worth every penny for an amazing wedding experience.
