wedding photographer would be tricky, but worth it in the long run. My dear friend recommended Caitlin, and it was probably the single best vendor hire for our entire wedding. From the start, I could tell I liked Caitlin’s energy and vibe. When I told her I didn’t want to do any posed family photos and wanted a more candid feel, she was immediately game and never tried to convince me otherwise. On the day of, I was a nervous, shaking mess and Caitlin gently guided me from one place to another, taking very low key photos and telling me exactly what to do and where to look. Immediately following our ceremony my husband and I were both out of body with joy, and Caitlin moved us from one place to the next, letting us be present in what we had just experienced, and took photos that we didn’t even notice were happening. Throughout the night, I’d catch glimpses of her in the background, or taking shots from a balcony looking down on the dance floor, and I never felt awkward or posed and was never worried that she was missing a moment, because she was there for them all in the most unobtrusive ways. Then we got the sneak peak, and I will truly never recover. I honestly cannot believe the person in the photos is me. There are so many incredibly special moments she captured, and getting to re-live the best day of our lives again and again in photographs that capture the feelings and moments, rather than ones that are posed and were pulling us away from the party, is something that we’ll be beyond grateful for having forever. I think I’m now one of those people who plasters their home in huge prints of their wedding, and I’m not even mad about it.
