We took a little risk hiring The Cakabakery to cater all our wedding desserts without having ever tasted their baked goods (since we’re from out of town), and WOW…our risk definitely paid off!! We ordered way more than what was necessary, but people were leaving our wedding with to-go boxes FULL of desserts because they just couldn’t get enough of ‘em! The only thing I’d note is that their dessert bars are huge, and could easily be cut in half and still be plenty for one person to eat. Overall, so yummy and so easy to work with!

We used Cakabakery for the cakes for our wedding on 9/30/2023. We ordered an 8" cake and 3 dozen cupcakes for our reception after trialing many flavors over the course of a few weeks. The team at Cakabakery was so accommodating, letting me adjust my order up to a month out from our event. Everything was absolutely delicious!

Jason and his staff did an awesome job for our desert table at our daughters wedding 6/10/23. So many guests asked who the baker was and thought the deserts were absolutely delicious! Her cake was gorgeous and her vision was executed spot on, a work of art! Thanks Jason and staff!!

Cakabakery did an amazing job with our wedding cake! We were able to pick up some cupcakes to taste-test and chose lemon, chocolate, and vanilla. The buttercream flowers were beautiful, and several wedding guests told me how much they LOVED the cake. Plus, they were able to avoid dairy and soy allergens.

We got our wedding cake custom made from Jason and wow, it was STUNNING! We talked about doing something different for dessert, but for some reason I had it in my head that I wanted a tiered wedding cake (When else are you going to have a reason to have a four tier cake? Life is short) Beyond being beautiful, every flavor combo was delicious. They did such a great job of every aspect. Looking forward to eating that top tier on our anniversary! Professional and fast communication throughout the process. Out of everything it was honestly one of the easier details to coordinate, such a breeze! 10/10 a great bake. Thank you again!

Cakabakery recently did the desserts for our wedding and we are so pleased they did! Not only are they some of the most delicious cakes and cookies I've ever had, but the design and variety of options went perfectly for our large wedding. It is hard to pick between the carrot cake and lemon berry, so we got both for our cake! The desserts were highly praised throughout our evening, and it was such a delight to hear our out of town guests finally get to experience our favorite bakery!

Cakabakery has always been a favorite, so hiring them for our wedding was an easy decision. Our cutting cake was simple and beautiful (and of course delicious), and all of the cupcakes were amazing as well! They handled delivery, had cake stands available to rent, and allowed for flexible numbers & flavor decisions from signing of contract to finalization before the wedding. Our love for Cakabakery continues!

The Cakabakery did a PHENOMENAL job with all of our wedding desserts! We ordered a small cake to cut in addition to mini cupcakes, cheesecakes & cookies. Everything was so so delicious - we got so many compliments!! I loved that they had vegan options for cupcakes to accommodate some of our guests. Not only was everything so tasty, but the set up they created looked stunning!! We had a great experience with Cakabakery for our wedding! We ordered a small cake for ourselves and cupcakes for our guests. After our to-go tasting we knew that we wanted to go with Cakabakery, their flavors are amazing! They were communicative and delivered our order on-time.

We ordered our wedding cake and cupcakes from the Holland location. At first, I was not sure how this was going to work out. They contacted me three separate times trying to get my deposit even though I had already payed. Then, the day of the wedding they were later than our agreed upon time and my day of coordinator had to call them to get an ETA. However, the cake and cupcakes itself turned out beautiful and delicious. I guess that is what matters.

Jason and Cakabakery are miraculous! The flavors were delicious - we ordered 3 flavors of cake pops and they were all eaten by the end of the night! Our wedding cake we took on our honeymoon with us to enjoy. Super happy with service and wonderful experience working with them!

I ordered my wedding cake from the Holland location of Cakabakery in October, and it was absolutely beautiful! I provided them with general photos of what I was interested in and they knocked it out of the park! I also ordered sheet cake to be served to my guests and that was delicious as well. I would definitely recommend!

Our wedding cake was delicious! We had to quickly find a new bakery after our original closed down and Cakabakery was fantastic to work with! They were helpful and quick to respond. At our cake cutting, my husband’s first words were “my god that’s delicious” 😅 their delivery was right on time and the cake turned out exactly how I pictured it!

The most delicious cake and cupcakes ever! Went with the champagne/strawberry, banana/peanut butter, and chocolate/chocolate combinations, all of which I highly recommend and all were decorated beautifully. They took care of cake stands and displays for us at the venue, and everything worked out so well. We will be back to your bakery storefront soon!

WOW! Cakabakery deserves 6 stars if they'd let us give it to them!! They catered our dessert bar (cupcakes, cookies, and our wedding cake) and were a HIT with our guests. We live 3 hours away and we would drive the 6-hours there and back for one of their cupcakes! Everyone was so friendly to work with and they made our vision come to life! Cannot recommend them enough!!

Super easy to work with! We had our guest list cut in half due to COVID issues and they were very flexible and accommodating! And the cake was AMAZING. We had lemon blueberry for our main tiered cake and a vanilla and a chocolate sheet cake. Everyone was raving about it! I wish I could have had the whole lemon blueberry cake for myself! They also absolutely nailed the simplistic look we were going for. Highly recommend!

We used Cakabakery for our wedding cake and gluten free cupcakes! Their cake tasting was great and they were so friendly and flexible about it (we had to do a from home tasting due to schedule) and their flavor options were more exciting than other shops we tried! We loved how our cake turned out and our gluten free guests couldn't get enough of the cupcakes! Communicating with them wasn't quite the easiest (the only reason this isn't a 5 star review) but I just hope it's something they can work on and it shouldn't deter anyone from using them!

We worked with Cakabakery (Grand Rapids location) for our wedding cake. We sampled 3 total bakeries and Cakabakery was clearly the tastiest cake! We selected an almond cake with buttercream frosting. They were great to work with when we had to postpone our wedding due to COVID-19. Our guests raved about the cake! Thank you Cakabakery!

We worked with Cakabakery West (Holland) and they did a great job on our wedding cake and desserts! Everything looked and tasted amazing! Our guests loved the cake flavors and variety of desserts. Our cake also looked exactly how we wanted it...very beautiful! We will definitely be stopping by to get some cookies, cupcakes or some kind of treat the next time we’re in the area!

We took days deliberating as we didn’t take it lightly to leave a poor review, especially when many small businesses are struggling during the pandemic. But we feel it was necessary that other wedding couples know what our experience was. The wedding cake is one of the center pieces of any wedding & our experience with Cakabakery caused our wedding planner & party an undue amount of stress on the wedding day. Our early interactions with Cakabakery were fine – we found the flavors we liked and settled on dates. Cakabakery has several positive reviews, but they also have a number of negative reviews which we wished we had paid more attention to as they were reflective of our experience. There were numerous things that went wrong on our wedding day: (1) Timing/tardiness – we were told the cake would arrive anytime after 8am; our ceremony was at 4.30pm & the cake arrived at 2pm. While this may be okay, if Cakabakery requires a 6-hour delivery window, they ought to mention it as our wedding planner/party were scrambling to contact Jason & his staff. (2) Ability to be contacted – as time was running short before the ceremony, members of our wedding party/wedding planners were frantically trying to contact Jason or his staff via phone, email and FB messenger. We were not able to get in touch with anyone till mid-afternoon. Several friends went to Meijer and were rush ordering a new wedding cake. We were not told of the debacle and we received an account from several people the next day. When we debriefed with Jason a few days after, as we believe there are two sides to every story, he told us they are not open on Sundays and because it was a holiday weekend, they were not easy to reach. We were surprised this was an excuse. (3) Professionalism – the staff who turned up late to deliver was rude and unapologetic. Jason's reason was the staff was not a “people person”. If that's the case, have someone else deliver the cake. Jason seems nice enough, but he was tone-deaf for a business owner and not surprised at what happened. When one of our family members talked to Jason, he was not apologetic, but rather cavalier about having great reviews from others. (4) Taste/Quality – Jason prides himself on having the best caliber cakes & decorators in Michigan. While the cake tasted ok, the decorations were amateur and missed the ball from photo examples provided. It also looked like 90% of the cake was left undecorated and the sheet cake was nearly frozen in parts. We have lived in cities across the country and around the world and we appreciate high quality craftsmanship, but our cake was not so. We have had cheap, basic cake from stores such as CostCo which have been much higher quality than Cakabakery's. From the service & quality, Cakabakery might be ok for a weekend drive-by for cupcakes or birthday cakes. Unfortunately, they were not up to the task for our wedding cake. It may be conceivable that they had an off-day for our wedding, but their lack of understanding, empathy and professionalism reeks of a mediocre bakery. We're hoping this review will be constructive for Jason and his staff as they work with future couples. Unfortunately for Cakabakery, many who attended our wedding are in the catering & wedding planning business in the GR & Western MI area. There was immense disappointment in the quality & professional attitude of Cakabakery & hence, it will be unlikely that Jason nor Cakabakery will be recommended for future events involving us.

Cakabakery made my wedding cake and it was beautiful! They made the whole process easy and of course, it was delicious! I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a wedding cake or wedding dessert orders.

We decided to use Cakabakery for our wedding dessert and are thrilled with our decision! Their cake was a huge hit at our wedding. Our guests continued to tell us how much they enjoyed the cake even weeks after the wedding was over! Our semi naked chocolate and vanilla buttercream wedding cake turned out beautiful and delicious. Our guests LOVED the confetti cake. We also received several comments about how delicious and moist the vegan berry cake was! We were pleasantly surprised at the amount of comments we received from our guests about the cake and we’re grateful to Cakabakery for helping to give our guests a good experience at our wedding.

Working with Cakabakery was a breeze! Everyone was super friendly, prompt, professional, and the cake was delicious. We ordered a small cake for just the two of us and it was exactly what we asked for. Our cakes were absolutely stunning. We had a groomsmen cake that looked identical to the picture we provided which my husband loved! Our wedding cake was exactly what I had envisioned from the outside as well. The cake flavors were mixed up however which wasn’t a huge deal as they tasted amazing! The variety of flavors and the quality of the cake is perfection at Cakabakery. I just wished the flavors were matched the correct cakes.

Everyone we worked with was very helpful from determining the right amount to order to offering up design ideas and flavor combinations. The design they made to incorporate our wedding invitations was perfect, and the cake was delicious!

The Cakabakery is absolutely wonderful. Everything we tried was beyond delicious. We had them do our wedding cake for the bridal party and we also had them bake 38 dozen cookies for our desserts. Their cookies are melt in your mouth cookies and were still gooey even after having sat out for the whole reception - even though they didn't last that long at our reception! The owner Jason makes everything with so much love and they really care about making their customers happy and they put their whole hearts into it. Their desserts are delicious and beautiful. They were above and beyond our expectations. Our wedding cake was decorated perfectly and absolutely gorgeous - it was exactly what we wanted and looked like it came out of my Pinterest board. I highly recommend the Cakabakery for everything dessert related - they are phenomenal!

Both my bridal shower and wedding cake were beautiful and delicious! We are still getting compliments months later! They recreated my floral invitation for my shower on a strawberry filled vanilla cake and our wedding cake was vanilla with white frosting that eventsbyicandy added greenery to. I absolutely loved both cakes and highly recommend for any event. It was also very convenient that they offfered cupcakes to take home and taste on our own schedule.

Cakabakery worked with me to make a small 2 tier cake for my wedding reception, and I could not have been happier. They were quick to respond to my request, allowed us to sample a variety of flavors before choosing our two, and the cake was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend!

We worked with the Cakabakery in Holland and they were great! We had three flavors: Guinness Chocolate, Almond Cherry and Salted Caramel. All of them were so good! Our guests raved about them! We tasted a lot of different bakers from Lansing area to Grand Rapids and they had the best flavors and frosting, hands down of the ones we tried. Our cake was gorgeous and decorated exactly how we wanted. I highly recommend if there is a certain flavor you want to have them make you a 6 piece cupcake order to try and also get their tasting box! We ended up stopping and getting cupcakes whenever we were in town (we live in DC) to try different flavors. All of their flavors were so good! I highly recommend them for your cake! They were easy to work with and cake was amazing!

Our wedding cake was beautiful and delicious! The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars was because there was a little miscommunication and loss of information of our order between their Grand Rapids location and their Holland location which is where their cake decorator is. They sent over most of the information, but forgot to include our inspiration photos which wasn't a big deal, I just sent them to their Holland email. They claimed I wasn't charged for my specific cake shape, which I knew I was. We sorted it all out and at the end of the day I got the cake I paid for and it was stunning and delicious! I wouldn't hesitate to order from them again!

I picked Cakabakery for my wedding cake because of a recommendation from a friend and I'm so glad I did! We used Cakabakery for our wedding we had a NYE wedding with mixed metals for colors. They made an absolutely gorgeous silver and gold cake for us which was more beautiful that what I had hoped for! They also did cupcakes for us and were able to accommodate our request of putting them in clear to-go boxes. We received so many compliments on the unique flavors, they were soooo yummy! I had heard about the Cakabakery initially because of their incredible cupcakes, and had to drive to Grand Rapids from Kalamazoo to try them myself. They DID NOT disappoint - I've never had a tastier cupcake in my life! We hired The Cakabakery to make cupcakes and a small cutting cake for our wedding in July in Kalamazoo. During the 6 months leading up to our wedding I drove from Kalamazoo to Grand Rapids more times than I'd like to admit, in an attempt to try as many cupcake flavors as I could! I ultimately decided on 4 cupcake/frosting combinations, and it was totally worth it! Everyone raved about the cupcakes and both my husband and I were very happy with how everything turned out! Working with Jason and Alex was an absolute pleasure, and now that we have moved to Grand Rapids, I love having a new neighborhood bakery to visit! Every time I go, it feels like I am dropping in to visit old friends! I cannot recommend The Cakabakery enough, love you guys!

Although we didn't get to eat much of our dessert, we heard INCREDIBLE reviews. The presentation was gorgeous and our wedding cake was absolutely divine! We liked it so much we couldn't save the topper for a year and shared it with family the next day. Communication leading up to the wedding could have been a bit better, but Jason's son was getting married the same day as ours. The fact that he still knocked it out of the park given the timing was CRAZY impressive. We definitely recommend using Cakabakery!

The Cakabakery was recommended to us by our wedding planners at All Buttoned Up Events. As an out of town bride, I was very glad of this recommendation because we had such a wonderful experience with Cakabakery. They were so accommodating with my very tight weekend schedule ( I only was up in Grand Rapids area once prior to the wedding) to schedule a tasting. Once we arrived for the tasting, we were welcomed warmly and everything was set up and ready for us. The staff walked us through all the decisions and gave great recommendations and feedback. We ended up ordering a gorgeous two-tier fondant cake painted with gold accent. the first layer was coconut cake with coconut creme filling and the second layer was the salted caramel cake (which we tried during our tasting). INCREDIBLE and SOO delicious! Because our cake was so affordable I ended up surprising my husband with a personalized Detroit Lions grooms cake. It was so beautiful and the attention to detail was spot on. We ended up digging into the grooms cake (chocolate and peanut butter amazingness) after we left the reception. Nick was so thrilled and it was a great memory. thank you again, Cakabakery, for all you did to make our wedding cakes so beautiful. We cannot recommend you enough! oops! almost forgot. We had a lot of gluten free (truly gluten free and food allergies) at our wedding and Cakabakery worked with us to make sure we had cupcakes available for our guests to enjoy even still. They were a hit and our guests came up and thanked us for having this option!

This was some of the most delicious cake I have ever tasted. I will say that they need to work a little bit on being better with communication and response time to emails. However, we couldn't have been happier with the end product. We told their decorator our general theme and said to use their own artistic vision and creativity to decorate the cake. The end product was stunning, and guests couldn't stop talking about how delicious it was. They were happy to cater to our need for a gluten free layer as well, which tasted just as good as all the other layers! We would recommend them to anyone.

Thought this would be a good place to start. It was not. Maybe it was the dead stink bug that I first spotted, or that I felt completely ignored upon my appointment time. The cake we did try was very dry and the frosting tasted like sugar and just sugar. The prices were outrageous and it was very very short appointment. Better places are out there ladies... pass on this to save time.

I am giving this vendor only two stars. I had high epectations given thier popularity and ratings. There was some confusion after we had ordered the cake and we were told by the owner that the cake we had ordered and had been quoted a price for would be $50 more. Somehow that was worked out, and then he said the cake would need a "ribbon of frosting" to cover the gaps between the layers. We had no problem with that at all. When we got to the venue that evening the cake had the "ribbon" on it but you could easily see the gaps and some cracking. It was a four tier cake, with plain smooth white frosting and cost $400. for that price, we expected perfection. When I spoke to our wedding coordinator, Katarina, at the City Flats Ballroom, I inquired about the small cake box which we specifically requested from Cakabakery for the bride and groom's two pieces of cake. It was to be put on the seat of their horse and carriage at the end of the evening. She said they left no box and they literally snuck in and out without checking in with her which was very unusual. Our venue boxed up the leftover cake and we had it the next day with family members while the bride and groom opened gifts. In the group of 8 people who had a piece two of them got a bite of something very bitter. The bride was one of them and said it tasted like she bit into an ibuprofen pill. Her mother in law also got a bad piece and she said she thought it was either baking soda or baking powder that was not mixed in properly. I am thoroughly disappointed because I don't know how many guest also got pieces which tasted bad. All of these negative elements add up to a poor experience. I would not recommend cakabakery for a wedding cake.

This is my new go-to baker in town. WOW! Jason was a pleasure to work with in the wedding planning process. We ordered mini cupcakes and caramel corn for desserts for our guests, and they were gorgeous. We also had a small wedding cake for my husband and I to cut. I had sent Jason a photo of what I was thinking beforehand, and the cake turned out even more gorgeous than the photo I had sent. There were so many flavors to chose from! I highly recommend the strawberry champagne... so, so good! Everything was absolutely perfect and so much flavor!

I worked with Cakabakery for my wedding cake and had a very disappointing experience. The first sign of disorganization should have been when Alex no-showed our cake tasting. We had scheduled this well in advance and had traveled from out of town to do it. She was very apologetic and delivered cupcakes for us later that day, but still left us feeling like we missed out on the cake tasting experience. Next, when calling to pay for the cake, the staff on the phone had difficulty locating our correct contract and could only find an old version of our contract. They had to call back several hours later with the correct information. And finally, our cakes for our wedding day were not what we ordered. We had ordered one small cake for cutting and the frosting was the wrong flavor and color. We also ordered two sheet cakes of specified flavors that were completely incorrect upon delivery. This was very disappointing considering we had called the week prior to confirm the order. It was as if the orders we placed were not even reviewed upon making the cakes. When we let Cakabakery know of the error, all Jason had to say was that he was "sorry that we were not happy with our order." There was no admission of fault or a genuine apology. He did offer us an anniversary cake, but being that we live out of town, this is not really a realistic offering. When planning a wedding, there is enough to worry about without feeling like you need to constantly follow up with a vendor in order to confirm appointments and orders, therefore I would not recommend this bakery.

I love this cake, and so did all our guests. They devoured it. You should not consider any other bakery. We had a lemon cake with blueberry buttercream as well as chocolate cake with fudge buttercream. THE BEST.

Our cake and cupcakes were delicious and we got so many compliments about them, especially the carrot cake. Cakabakery was able to provide gluten free, vegan, and dairy free options so all of our guests (including me) could enjoy some wedding cake!

My fiance and I tried to order a small cake from them for us to cut into at our wedding. However, we were refused service because we will be serving Costco cake at our wedding and they didn't want it to "be confused" with their cake because it "isn't up to their standards". This place is a joke. How I spend my money is my business. Can't believe I was refused service because I also choose to spend money elsewhere. Needless to say I will NEVER attempt to do any business with this bakery again and I would urge anyone considering it to be cautious because all they seem to care about is their bottom line.

One of the best parts about keeping our wedding in our hometown of Grand Rapids was being able to use our favorite local bakery - Cakabakery! They provided us with a gorgeous rose gold cake! We gave very little direction on what we wanted, only that we wanted some rose gold sparkle. They used their skill and created us the perfect cake and it was DELICIOUS. So many guests told us it was the best cake they've ever had! They also provided us with a variety of cookies for the bridal party between the ceremony and reception. The cookies were AMAZING and huge! We also used them for a cupcake variety for the bridal shower. Again, with little direction, they came up with beautiful and delicious cupcakes that the guests raved about. Cakabakery is SO easy to work with and their product is truly the best.

Jason & Peter are AWESOME! They designed our cake for us based on the pictures we showed them. Very prompt on responses to any concerns. Cake and cupcakes were delivered flawlessly and they tasted wonderful. Highly recommend them! Thanks guys!

Cakabakery is definitely worth it! They have beautiful cakes and special desserts for weddings. They went above and beyond to deliver our flowers when they're usually closed- we are so great full for that level of professionalism! Our "naked cake" was delicious! Let me start by saying, from now on, the only cake I eat is going to be Cakabakery. I cannot say how amazing the cakes and cupcakes are. It's been 4 days since my wedding & my family and I are STILL enjoying leftover chocolate cake that is perfect. Our cake and cupcakes went SO fast at the wedding and everyone loved the unique flavors and beautiful presentation. Each cupcake was decorated with care and plated perfectly. You won't go wrong with anything from this shop. Jason is great to work with as well. Incredibly kind and funny. If you are trying to contact for the 1st time, I do recommend a direct email, phone call, or even stopping into the shop. Seems to be the occasional technical glitch on the website and you do not want to miss out on having this cake and eating it too.

I'm so glad we chose Cakabakery. They were easy to work with and well priced. Our cake and cupcakes were absolutely delicious! Everyone at the reception was raving about them!

Cakabakery has outstanding, delicious, unique-flavored cakes. Jason, the owner delivered the cake himself to our venue in Allegan, MI, far from either of their locations in Grand Rapids and Holland. We had the vanilla almond and dark chocolate merlot flavors--yum! Our guests loved it! They gave me no issues when I needed to adjust my order a month before the wedding. They made the cutting cake look exactly like the inspiration photo I showed them. We went with a two-tier cutting cake and sheet cakes to cut for our guests, but they also offer cupcakes and dessert displays. Couldn't say enough good things about Cakabakery! Highly recommended!

We used the new location in Holland for our cakes & dessert buffet for our wedding. When we went to the tasting it was set up as a "date night" which was so special and even included a toast to us! We are usually not fans of chocolate cake but it was suggested to try it & we liked it so much we ordered it for our guests! the Cakabakery was easy to work with & our desserts tasted amazing! We will use them again for less formal events or just a treat for ourselves! The carrot cake cupcake/cake & molasses cookies are the best!!

We used the Cakabakery for our wedding and they were outstanding. The cakes were delicious (we did a cupcake tasting to choose the flavors) and beautiful!

Sent an email through their site to get a consultation and tell them what I wanted. That was 3 months ago, never received a call or an email back. I called and the girl that answered apologized, but said they were so busy and wouldn't be able to schedule a cake testing at the moment. But we could swing by and they would give us something to taste whenever they were open. Was really disappointed since i'm an out of state bride and only come back once every couple of months.

My mouth is literally watering as I write this review. The Cakabakery is phenomenal!! My husband and I could not settle on just one flavor of cake for our wedding, so we had three (vanilla, banana peanut butter, and strawberry champagne). They were all beautiful, super moist, and extremely flavorful. You will not be disappointed.

If you have any event in the West Michigan area, I cannot recommend The Cakabakery enough! Jason is an absolute gem, and will help you realize all of your confectionary dreams! Our wedding cake was not only beautiful, but tasted extraordinary! We also had 7 dozen cupcakes for only 75 people, and not a single crumb was left! A joy to work with, and beautiful, tasty results, win win win!

We had a great time at our tasting and everything was absolutely delicious. We ordered a small wedding cake and cupcakes to be placed on a cupcake tower. The only problem we had was in communicating with the Cakabakery. We didn't have a lot of luck getting responses to calls and emails. The design ideas I gave the bakery were for a light green cake with green leaves and flowers. The cake we got was white with some brown/bronze leaves on it. But, everything tasted wonderful and the cupcakes looked beautiful and everything was delivered in good shape and on time, so I really can't complain.

Let me start out with, the cake, cupcakes and cake pops tasted amazing. So as far as the baked goods, perfect! The flavors are so good here and there is such a variaty! But the one thing I found rather annoying was the lack of respect I got from the workers here. I went in with my husband (fiance at the time) to do a taste test and get a quote for our cake (and cakepops and cupcakes) and after the meeting we didn't ever recieve a quote. I emailed and called a few times and finally 4 weeks later I got my price. But I can forgive a business for being busy and I had given myself plenty of time so a couple of weeks wasn't going to kill me and I really loved their cakes! After I recieved the quote I told the owner I wanted to put the deposit down and reserve my cake. He told me I needed to send a check, which I did maybe 2 days later. A month before my wedding the owner emailed me and asked if I was still insterested in getting my cake from them, I reponded politely, yes I already sent in the deposit, a check which you guys already cashed. He responded with a 'lol looks like I'm more orginized than I though' I was starting to get a little worried. About a week before my wedding I called to ask when my final payment was due and the women on the phone was rather rude and told me I had one more day before my order would be dropped. I will admit it was probably my fault for not listen in the begining because I'm sure they told me when final payment was due but I'm pretty sure they weren't even planning on calling me to make sure I didn't forget about it before they cancelled my order. But alas, I made it in time and paid the remaining amount via credit card over the phone. Finally the big day was here and everything was going perfect, when the cake arrived I didn't even see the people come and set the cake up. They didn't talk to anyone to say your cake is here or to let anyone know what things needed to be returned, etc (we had started pictures already but I had lots of helpers hanging around). But that didn't really matter, except the only decorations I wanted on my cake were one ribbon around each tier with the top tier having a little flower shaped bow and guess what? They didn't do that it was a plain white cake... Like I said it was a delicious cake and everyone there thought it looked great but I was very dissapointed with how I was treated throughout the whole process of ordering and I gave them the easiest cake in the world to make and they couldn't even do it right. I am a little younger than their average bride (if I had to guess) and I think they didn't really take me seriously. I was pretty dissapointed with them but a good cake is a good cake so if you are willing to deal with some not so perfect customer service and you don't mind if your cake doesn't look like what you asked for you will not be dissapointed in the taste!

I asked Cakabakery to make cupcake favors for my wedding (the strawberry champagne--wow! It kills me that I cannot have one more often.) and they did a beautiful job. They made everything so easy and lovely--we were thrilled. Then--10 days before my wedding--my original cake plans fell apart. I booked someone else, there were personal issues that arose--no one's fault, but I had no one to make my cake a week out. Cakabakery swooped in magically and made me the wedding cake of my dreams. This cake was beautiful and delicious. It looked exactly the way I always hoped my wedding cake would & it was so good--the best wedding cake I've ever eaten! Did I mention it was vegan? This place is great. I'd highly advise going to try lots of cupcakes--even if you didn't book them for some reason (do it, they're the best in town) you would get to eat lots of yummy cake.

Jason is awesome! He took my ideas and made them a reality. My cake was fabulous and the cupcakes were divine. He uses fresh ingredients and the resulting flavors are mouth watering. He delivered my cake and cupcakes over 40 minutes away and everything arrived in perfect condition.

Jason was very easy to work with. We LOVE the Cakabakery & haven't tried a cupcake we didn't like yet :) choosing flavors was the most difficult part The cake was exactly as I'd imagined and tasted delicious. It was delivered promptly and part of my deposit was refunded when I returned the cake stand. I would definitely recommend.

My mother-in-law introduced us to the Cakabakery and their desserts are seriously to die for! We loved our small wedding cake and our dessert table had cupcakes, cake pops, and caramel corn. Jason came in and set everything up for us and it was beyond perfect!! He did an awesome job displaying our desserts and they tasted as good as they looked-we had very many compliments from guests about the desserts!! Would definitely recommend the Cakabakery to any bride!

The Cakabakery did an amazing job with our wedding cake-pops! From the moment we did our initial tasting in his local bakery, I knew we were in good hands. We chose the classic flavors... chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry champagne and they were all soooo good. They displayed one pop at each plate setting (with very simple but elegant wrapping) and created a great display on our candy bar! It was very easy to work with Jason (and his team) and I would definitely recommend them for any event!

I knew that I wanted a naked cake for our wedding (a cake without frosting). This kind of cake is just becomming popular so some bakeries hadn't even heard of it yet. Another bakery tried to talk me out of it saying it would dry out too much (this bakery was also very pricey and arrogant...wouldn't even think about working with them!). When I talked to Jason at Cakabakery he said he had done naked cakes and assured me that if it is made correctly that it wouldn't dry out. Our cake turned out wonderful and was delicious! My only disappointment was that one of the sheet cakes we ordered (we had a small tiered cake and 2 sheet cakes) had the wrong frosting on it. Other than that, I was very happy. Jason is extremely personable and great to work with. They also have really good cookies!

The Cakabakery is outstanding! Jason and team offer wonderful service and make the best cakes and cupcakes in town! I highly recommend them for your wedding. They are worth every penny. Jason caught my vision for the wedding, customized the cupcakes to meet our needs and even made a birthday cake for my special day. He rocks!

Jason does a great job! We had cupcakes at our wedding and they were a hit! Guests loved them, and many took home extras at the end of the night. The Cakabakery is still fairly new, but they have been incredibly busy... because of this, it was initially a little tough to get in touch with Jason to look into availability. My advice is to go in person to the Cakabakery and try to talk to Jason in person about setting up a cake tasting time since he could be slow to respond via phone/email (b/c he's been bombarded with so many requests)... Plus since you're there in person, you can buy a few of his cupcakes and try out a few flavors outside of the tasting! Overall, great local business... Jason really cares about putting out a great product! Highly recommended!

Jason is a doll to work with. His flavors are amazing, and his quality of work is like none other. I still crave his cake daily.
