We had Bev booked for our wedding that had changed dates 3 times. She stuck with us for each date change and even mentioned that she was making 4 other cakes on our final date, but was happy to squeeze us in. Bev was happy to make multiple samples for us. We only told her a couple days before we wanted the samples since we were going to be in the area at the venue. She was happy to whip them up last minute. She included silk flowers when we said we didn't want to pay our florist for that part. She is so sweet and her prices are amazing-the best we could find. Our guests loved our cake and it looked beautiful!

Bev's cakes were the best! Every cake she makes is made that morning and could not be any fresher! Our guests liked it so much we had no leftovers! Thank you for making us such a beautiful and delicious cake, Bev!

Bev is the best! We had our wedding last June and Bev was super easy and fun to work with! Her cake is delicious and she offers a variety of flavors for the wedding day. Bev made our wedding cake this past fall. Bev is sooooo sweet. We were planning our wedding from out-of-state so it was hard to meet her. We were only in town for a day and although she was working on a wedding cake that day, she took 30 minutes of her lunch break to meet with us and to give us her sample cakes (which was a mini cake and a box of cupcakes!!). Bev makes all her cakes on the day of delivery! We ordered a three tier cake and cupcakes for our wedding and it was delicious! We gave her very little directions with how we wanted our cake decorated other than one of her previous cakes and a color scheme. She decorated our cake beautifully using both flowers our florist provided and her silk flowers. Bev is such a sweetheart and so thoughtful about everything. We highly recommend her!

BEST CAKE EVER!! Seriously. Evan and I met Bev for a tasting and we’re blown away by the quality, taste, and freshness of these cakes. We had tasted a few other places before the typical wedding cake shops and nothing compared. Bev makes her cake fresh that same day and you can really tell! She was so sweet and kind and even let us borrow her cake stand. You will not be disappointed. We had a 4 tier cake for our wedding and literally the whole thing got eaten that’s how amazing her cakes are!

The girls were so accommodating and easy to work with. Our cake not only looked amazing but tasted phenomenal!!! Their prices were so reasonable and we still have guests telling us how amazing our cake tasted! Would definitely recommend them to anyone.

Bev is a wonderful person who is extremely passionate about her work. She was able to mold our vision into reality by baking the best cake and cupcakes we and our guests have ever tasted, all while being such a pleasure to work with. Her cakes and cupcakes are delicious! And the buttercream frosting is amazing. She matched the decorations on the cupcakes to our colors and made 3 types of cupcakes for us.. They were all sooo good and I'm glad we had a few leftover to enjoy after the wedding!

7/8/2018 Bev created my beautiful wedding cake for me and I'm so immensely grateful to have worked with her! Bev is the sweetest, upon our first meeting I felt like I was working with family and someone I've known for a long time! She is incredibly kind and fair and gracious in her work and time dedicated to us and our day. Bev has a vast portfolio of cake designs, styles and flavors she's done in the past, but she's also helpful and flexible in making any requested changes, additions or new ideas altogether. Working with her and meeting during planning was very easy, she was very reliable, communicative and easygoing. She also brings cake samples for you so you actually know taste the flavors and can make modifications. All the flavors and fillings are delicious, I tasted quite a few before I settled on a lemon flavor cake with raspberry filling and amaretto. And wow how delicious it was! On the day of our wedding, Bev came early to setup to make sure she had everything she needed from the venue. Our cake table was certainly a centerpiece of its own and commanded so much attention from our guests, every one of our guests commented on how beautiful it looked and how the cake flowers (silk! looked 100% real, no one could tell the difference) matched the decor of the room. I'm incredibly happy with Bev and her delicious cakes. She was great to work with, the cake turned out beautifully and so grandiose, and most of all delicious! Bev has very very fair prices and her cake is actually made of homemade buttercream frosting, which is such a plus! If you're looking for a cake for your wedding or other event, Bev Tanaka is the best in the Bay Area, this happy bride assures you!

My husband and I cannot say enough wonderful things about Bev and her cakes. She is so wonderful to work with and truly cares about her clients, and not to mention she makes the BEST CAKES EVER. I have eaten many cakes in my life and nothing is as good as a Cake Creation by Bev. She created the most gorgeous, and delicious, wedding cake for us. We chose to not preserve the top tier of our cake to save for our 1st wedding anniversary because it was way too good to wait to eat. We instead chose to eat it the day after our wedding! : Our wedding cake was funfetti (bottom tier) and vanilla with vanilla pudding (top tier). We had sheet cakes of funfetti, marble, and vanilla with vanilla pudding. Many of our guests raved about her cakes and we were told most of them had more than one piece. Bev used the flowers from our florist to arrange on our cake and we were blown away at how beautiful everything turned out. You will be extremely happy if you choose to work with Bev. My husband and I still talk about how good the cake at our wedding was, and we can't wait to work with her again in the future. Thanks, Bev!!

Bev is one of the sweetest human beings I have ever met in my whole life!! She makes you feel like family, she takes such good care of her brides & grooms! This is besides the fact that her cake is delicious! She bakes them fresh for each event, which is true dedication to her craft and her customers. For my wedding I had chocolate marble, red velvet marble, and lemon and we got rave reviews from our guests. I am quite partial to the lemon, as it tastes fresh, not artificial, and has just the right amount of lemon flavor, not overpowering at all. Bev is the best of the best!

BEST VENDOR DURING OUR WEDDING PLANNING PROCESS. Incredibly sweet and accommodating, love her to pieces! She was flexible in adjusting the sweetness level of her cakes to our liking. Delivered everything on time, cake tasted great! I still dream about her almond cake to this date.

We had the most amazing cake. This woman went above and beyond to make our day special! 1. She worked with our budget 2. When the wedding topper was MIA- she spent time arranging flowers to make it look good- AND found me (the bride) AND we found the topper AND she made it work perfectly 3. It was DELICIOUS

So glad we decided to go with Bev for our wedding cupcakes! She is so great to work with. I had a hard time finding a bakery that would be open for my wedding day (right after Christmas) but she told me she could do my wedding and was very flexible in terms of choosing flavors before the wedding (since I'm out of town). It's also a huge bonus that she doesn't charge wedding prices. She is just the sweetest person. Easiest decision we've made during our wedding planning.

We love Bev! She was recommended to us by a co-worker, and barely half way through our initial meeting with her, we knew we wanted her to bake our wedding cake. She brought an iPad with dozens of photos of cakes she's baked with examples of designs, and brought us some sample cakes to take home. With so many delicious flavors, it was hard to choose just a couple! Our wedding cake was beautiful, and she even decorated it with silk flowers in our wedding colors. And she is affordable--much more so than the other bakeries in the area. Most importantly: the cake was delicious! Our guests went back for seconds! I will be going to Bev for all of our cake needs from now on (she does birthday cakes and other special occasions--I already had her make a birthday cake for my husband earlier this year)!

Notables: 1) Bev is one of the sweetest people I have ever met. She bakes from the heart, and it shows in her cakes. 2) Bev's cakes are baked fresh, and the buttercream is made from scratch. SO DELICIOUS! 3) Lots of flavors to choose from - we went with lemon, chocolate+vanilla marble, and red velvet marble I will definitely be coming back to Bev for future cakes for various occasions!

I searched for many cake designers for the wedding day and Bev had my heart at our first interraction. My sister and I met her casually at a Starbucks where she brought us mini sample cakes with different designs to taste and bring home to our family. She was so sweet and charming and was willing to make our cake exactly how we wanted it. Less sweet, more sweet, a variety of fillings etc. Best of all, she was the least expensive of all 10 cake designers that I encountered. At our wedding, our guests absolutely loved the cake and told us how tasty it was! Kudos to Bev! I would recommend her a million times over.

Bev is amazing! I am so glad we chose her to make our wedding cake. Not only is she affordable, her cakes taste wonderful! She brought little mini cakes for our consultation for us to take home and try (no little bites of cake here!) and helped us figure out what we wanted. I ended up sketching a design for her that I wanted on the cake, and she had no problem making it for us. It was so cool to see my design come to life for the wedding. She showed up and set up the cake, arranged the flowers on the cake, and left. It was great not having to check up on her or see where she was or anything. The cake looked beautiful, tasted amazing, and working with Bev was fantastic. There's no better value or vendor for cake!

Bev Tanaka is the type of person who everyone can instantly fall in love with: having the sweetest personality, motherly nature and professionalism. Her responses are always prompt and thorough. She also has great attention to detail & gave us ideas on how to design the best looking wedding cake...and that she did!! During our consultation we wanted to book her service even prior to tasting the cake. Once you meet her, you will know why. Sweetest lady ever!! It was an added bonus that her cakes tasted so good. She gave us sample cakes to try and take home. She happily provided samples until we made a decision on our cake flavor. She never pressured us at all to book her services and her prices were very reasonable. She also went the extra mile by loaning her cake stand, added flowers to the cake (which many times, this is the florists responsibility) and provided 2 extra small cakes that we wanted to give to our friends as a birthday cake at no extra charge. She truly went the extra mile. Other bakers would have truly charged for this! It is also assuring to know that cake money Bev makes goes towards her children's college fund. We felt like we were also helping her and her family in a way. We love Bev Tanaka and her cakes!!!

Bev is an amazing cake artist! She is so organized and professional. She is also very reasonable for her prices. Her cakes are freshly done day of the event. The marble was my favorite!

Bev is completely awesome!! We were impressed with how she went out of her way to really make sure to understand exactly the cake we were looking for even BEFORE we had agreed to use her services. The cake was beautiful the day of and delicious. My guests were so happy to have a tasty wedding cake!

We did not go through her but she was very nice and easy to talk to. We felt that we needed to go through another vendor because she was a little expensive. If you can afford it, go through her because her cakes are beauutiful.

We hired Beverly to make our cake for our wedding in February. She was on the preferred vendor list for our venue. I am so happy that we met her! She made 4 different kinds of cake for our tasting and showed us some of the different designs she could do with the frosting. We knew we wanted flowers on our cake in which she showed us which flowers she could use from her collection or let us know she could work with our florist. She uses her own buttercream frosting (obviously made from scratch) and tastes so much better than ganache which is so chewy. Her cakes are moist and very tasty. It is hard choosing a food that pleases so many people at a particular event, but we knew we couldn’t go wrong with any of the flavors. We actually had a hard time choosing a flavor because we loved them all. As for Bev, her personality is very infectious. She is polite, professional, and personal. Her prices are the most reasonable we came across and are posted on her website showing all the flavors and fillings she makes. On the day of, our cake came out absolutely gorgeous. We loved the flowers she used and how beautiful it looked on the table. When it was time to cut the cake, I made sure we feed each other more than one bite so we could really enjoy it. We received many compliments on the cake and didn’t have much left over which was perfect. We did not have an extra tier made to freeze, so one our one year anniversary Bev will be making us a personal cake to enjoy. We love Bev and recommend her for anyone that needs a cake for any celebration.

Bev was incredible to work with! While she doesn't have a special studio and doesn't do fondant... we didn't miss it one bit!! We met Bev at the vendor event at the Palm. Bev's cake was the absolute best at the event! The thing we also loved about her is that she had VERY reasonable prices and did buttercream frosting, not the usual fondant that everyone does. For tasting we met her at a local Starbucks where she brought us 4, 6-inch cakes all different flavors and fillings for us to try. They were ALL amazing but we ended up with 3 flavors with each teir being a different flavor, 1. Chocolate Marble Cake with fresh bananna and pudding filling (AMAZING), 2. red velvet with cream cheese filling, 3. Carrot cake with cream cheese filling. All of them were SO GOOD and people were raving about the cake, especially the chocolate marble with banannas. Bev did such a great job and our cake looked so beautiful! :)

The cake was so fres, and so delicious! Bev did an amazing job laying the fresh roses on the cake. I loved it and wouldn't have changed a thing about it. Bev was at the site on time, and the cake was setup before i even knew it :)

Bev was so sweet and her cakes are delicious! She brings you sample cakes of her most popular flavors at the first meeting and you will be hooked after the first bite! That was the only vendor meeting my husband attended and it was all he could talk about until the night of the wedding! Not to mention her prices are the best around!

Beautiful cake that tasted awesome... what else could a bride ask for? Wait- how about 2 small sample cakes to try BEFORE I hired her?!? Or, better yet a price that was less than half of the competition! Bev was easy to work with and her work is beautiful and yummy!

Bev did a great job! She really listened to what I wanted and made many cakes to satisfy my design requests. Her cakes are never frozen and delicious.

The cake was delicious and Bev was easy to work with. We were able to plan out the perfect cake for us, and I let Bev design the flowers to decorate herself, and it was stunning. She starts baking the day before the wedding, so the cake and everything are perfectly fresh.;She only does buttercream frosting, and the cake has to have tiers (they can be small and not noticible at all, but they will be there). She also sets up on site, so you may need a little bit of early time.
