Dottie herself is quite silly but man oh man does she make a great cake! Not only was it delicious (my husband just wanted to lick off all the buttercream for himself!) but it was also beautiful! The color of the ribbon fondant was off a little but if that's the worst of it than I'm ok with it. She negotiated on the price to help with our budget and also has discounts hidden on her not so organized website so read carefully!

I LOVED OUR WEDDING CAKE!!! Truly, our wedding cake from Cake Dot's Wedding Cakes was amazing. Our cake cutting was one of my favorite things at the reception, and the pictures of me tasting that first bite of cake say it all--haha! If you want a cake that is just hands down delicious and makes your mouth water, then book with Cake Dot. I knew for my wedding I didn't want another "okay" wedding cake. It's dessert for goodness' sake, it should be tasty! We actually booked with her before we'd even finalized our venue, funnily enough! We fit in cake tastings while we were doing our location search, and once we had our first bites of her cake, we were sold, hook, line, and sinker. In fact, every flavor we tried was exceptional, so the hardest decision was narrowing down which flavors we wanted to use! Her presentation is flawless as well. I'm not a fan of fondant, and Dot's buttercream is amazing. We had an August wedding, and the buttercream held up great! Flawless and gorgeous looking, and absolutely to die for taste. What more can you ask for in a wedding cake? Seriously--the investment was definitely worth it!!!

I had a four layer cake with buttercream frosting and lemon filling. I found Cake Dot's during a last min. search, and she seemed to get good reviews so I thought I would give her a try. I was very pleased. The cakes are delicious and she is very skilled with her delicious butter cream. I gave her a few photos of my dress and asked if she could do part of the cake to coordinate with the dress design, it was spot on. She also puts on this sparklie stuff (very technical term) so the whole cake sparkles and shines. She worked well with our florist to coordinate getting flowers onto the cake and with our reception hall for delivery and set up. She even gave us instructions on how you are supposed to cut a giant cake like that, so me and my husband didn't look a darn fool trying to cut a slice in front of everyone. She also gave instructions for how to freeze the top layer so it comes out well. I caution people that her website is a little unprofessional, but she is good at baking and decorating cakes, not web developing, do not let this turn you off!

Cake Dot's was a great place/family to work with. Dotty was really delightful and made our cake exactly how I wanted it. The only problem I had was the flowers for the cake. I told her we would be bringing our own flowers for the decorations and asked her what flowers would work. She recommended roses, but when I got to the reception site they had almost all fallen off or were just hanging off. I was really disappointed, but the cake was great. I still would highly recommend her.

I met with Cake Dot simply because my mom liked her website. She is a spunky, tongue-in-cheek lady and I liked her style. She made my cake exactly as I requested it and it looked perfect on our wedding day. I particularly love the touch of glitter she adds to all of her creations. To be honest, I don't really remember eating any cake at the wedding, save for the first bite, but according to the family, it was very good.

What can I say about Cake Dots aka Dottie! My wedding cake was beautiful and tasty. My husband was so surprised by his Lakers groom cake that Dottie crafted from my son's shirt that I snuck in at the cake tasting meeting. Her talents go beyond that of just a mere cake designer...Because Dottie cares about people and their wishes; she supersedes any other vendor in my opinion. My wedding was in 2008 and since then, I have ordered every birthday & special occasion cake from Dottie. I've recommended others to her and everyone has had nothing but great compliments for their experience. I’m happy that I came across her name online while searching for local vendors. Cake Dot is truely an artist. She made the cake look exactly how I wanted it to look and even better. She is amazing. If you look at her website you will see why. I normally don't like wedding cake but hers was delicious. We ordered chocolate and snickerdoole with buttercream frosting. We had many compliments on the presentation of the cake and the taste. She also made us chocolate buckeyes for our guests. Her prices were also lower than other people. She's great!

Dot was pleasant, listened to our ideas, produced a beautiful cake that tasted like heaven! I feel her prices were reasonable and the cake was SO gorgeous I didn't want to touch it! We just recently unfroze our top layer for our 1 year anniversary and it tasted just like it did on our wedding day!;We had a slight mix up with a Groom's cake I wanted for the Rehearsal Dinner and a 'Bride's cake' my Mother wanted to get for me at the wedding. I decided not to get the groom's cake and Dot thought that we didn't want the 'bride's cake' since they were both the same theme. My mother was very upset but Dot refunded the money and didn't charge for a missing cake plate. Just make sure you relay your information very clearly, these mistakes can happen.

Very inexpensive - $400 for 300 slices. Did a good job figuring out what we wanted and delivering.

I was pleasantly surprised at the slight glitter on the frosting of the cake and the taste was wonderfull!

Dottie was AMAZING. I got so many compliments on the beautiful and tasty (Almond Cream Cheese Pound Cake!!!!) cake at the reception. She also rose to the challenge of a unique grooms cake a crawdad and it turned out wonderfully! I highly recommend Cake Dot's as they DELIVER what they promise and they are VERY willing to work with you and your budget. No other bakery we went to even compared and believe me we shopped around.

I drew out my cake and she did exactly what I wanted. She also crafted the 'Horseshoe' stadium that was on the top of our cake, and I didnt think that was possible it was great.

The cake was delicious and gorgeous - I would not have changed a thing. She made the cake exactly the way I wanted it, and seemed to have an intuitive understanding of what I was asking for. She was not pretentious and truly loves what she does!;The morning of the wedding, she called to say that there was not enough ribbon for the cake, and my mom had to go get more - ON MY WEDDING DAY! It was rough. So definitely buy more ribbon than she suggests, just in case.
