Cake Expressions

We were really on the fence about whether to even get a cake for our wedding in April, and then we discovered Cake Expressions. From the get go, it was clear that Cero loves his craft and cares about his customers. Once we tasted his creations, we were hooked–the cakes were the most delicious of any others we’d tried, and more cost effective too. Cero & the team were super communicative as we tried out different design ideas, and delivery on the day of went perfectly. Greatly appreciated the gluten & dairy free cupcakes too, with Cero kindly helping us to put toppers into the cupcakes and arrange them neatly in our display rack. The tiered wedding cake looked gorgeous and was delicious (honey spice with cream cheese filling, bavarian mousse frosting), everyone enjoyed!

We had Cake Expressions do our wedding cake & desserts, and we are SO pleased with how everything looked and tasted!! As expected, cake/dessert tasting was one of the highlights of the wedding planning process — we had a fantastic experience meeting with Cero for the tasting and discussing what we wanted for our wedding reception. The team at Cake Expressions made planning super easy (even with a COVID postponement for a year later); they’re professional, responsive, organized, and friendly. The hardest part was making a decision about which desserts to have, because they are all so delicious!! We ended up choosing a two-tiered cake (and then ah! The flavors are hard to pick from too..! We went with 1 tier of burnt almond and 1 tier of carrot cake), as well as mini-cupcakes, brownies, and lemon bars. The desserts flew off the table, and we received numerous compliments from our guests about how good they were. We’re still drooling over our wedding desserts, and can’t wait for the next opportunity to celebrate with a cake so that we can go back to Cake Expressions for more!!

We absolutely love Cake Expressions! Cake tasting, of course, was our favorite part of wedding planning -- and we were blown away by not only the designs, but also the taste, of their cakes and desserts. They have so much variety, and all of the options are amazing. In addition, Robynne and Cero are such sweet people -- they made it easy to postpone our event, and have consistently been responsive, accommodating, and professional. Cero took the time to really understand our needs and desires, and we have no doubt that our wedding cake will be beautiful and delicious (we'll be back to post a photo next year)! In short, we highly recommend visiting Cake Expressions for any and all of your cake and dessert needs!!

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! Cake expression was on the package that we got at Cinnabar Hills San Jose! We made an appointment and we met Robin who did our cake tasting. She is very nice and helpful in choosing the flavor (although the cakes are all good) and design! It made our decision very EASY!!!

We loved our wedding cake. The cake tasting experience was very easy going and all our questions were answered. The samples they had available were delicious but they have other flavors available. We looked at several designs before we landed on our cake and then they helped us personalize it. Everyone was super helpful. Tip: If you get your cake with them they'll make the top of cake for your one year anniversary in exchange for a picture of your cake.

We went with Cake Expressions for our wedding. They were a preferred vendor of Cinnabar Hills. We were very pleased with their professionalism and friendliness. They delivered everything as expected without a hitch and the whole staff was a delight to work with.

Absolutely the highlight of the wedding! The cake was amazing, delicious and I couldn't have asked for a more professional vendor. He got it right the first time, didn't bog me down with details because he didn't listen...he just did his job! It was a delight to work with him. My cake was unique, elegant and perfect!

They did a great job decorating the cake - the sugar flowers looked real. They do not charge extra for decorations and ave everything in house, which is nice. As the cake tasted very good - chocolate classics!

I love cake expressions! They are absolutely amazing. The cakes flavors are delicious. We went with chocolate decadence with java chip filling. SOOOOOO GOOD! I thought our cake was absolutely gorgeous. I showed them a picture I found online, they made some tweaks and turned it into our own unique cake. It was truly my dream wedding cake.

Our cake was included with our package from the Historic Del Monte Building where our reception was being held at. We met Cero at Trudy's bridal faire, he was so nice and answered the questions we had. I saw a cake there and knew it was the one! We scheduled a cake tasting and chose Red Velvet and the Mango Mousse, both were upgrades . In all the cake we wanted was all upgrades (flavors/fondant/decorations (rhinestone banding, etc) but we decided to splurge on it and we are so glad we did. Everyone raved about the cake! I had some leftover cake 2 days later and it was still amazing!!

I had the BEST experience with Cake Expressions!!! I truly couldn't be happier with Cero and Robynne from Cake Expressions!!!! I just got married on October 12, 2013 and they created the most BEAUTIFUL cake that my family and friends are still talking about! BRIDES.. if you are reading this just make an appointment with them and I am sure you will fall in love just as I did. My florist was supposed to cascade fresh flowers throughout my cake and for whatever reason it didn't get done. I was so upset until I saw the cake that Cero designed, it literally stopped me in my tracks and couldn't get over how gorgeous it was without the flowers. What I thought was going to be something I was really disappointed about (because of my florist) ended up being one of the highlights of my wedding! The whole process for me was WONDERFUL!!! I had met Cero last year at the Trudys Bridal Fair and what struck me the most was how kind he was and how much he cared about his brides. I was watching as previous brides were coming up and talking to him, each one gushing about what an amazing job he did as their wedding and he seemed to remember each one and was equally as grateful to them. When it came time for my big day I knew I needed to see him so I emailed Robynne who responded to me IMMEDIATELY. I scheduled a tasting after a dress fitting which ended up running late :( I felt so bad and contacted them right away and she was so understanding and just told be to come when I can :) I had this idea of having multiple cakes instead of one large cake which I thought could be pretty but the main reason I was looking at the small cakes was because I didn't think I could afford the large cake of my dreams but leave it to Cero and Robynne to make my dreams a reality! They listened to what I wanted and worked together and came up with a cake that looked larger than life (which is exactly what I wanted)!!!!!! They used spacers to give me the look I was hoping for and the spacers were so gorgeous, the ones I liked the most were these rhinestone covered circles however they were silver and my wedding was all gold but leave it to Cake Expressions to say "No problem! We will just make gold ones!" I was so grateful that they would go out of their way like that for me! They had so many delicious flavors, it was so hard for me to choose, so they helped be through the process and came up with a passionfruit filling for the largest layer to fit my tropical wedding theme, then helped me pick out a spice cake with pumpkin filling for the fall, a chocolate with chocolate gnash for the chocolate lovers and the top tier was mango with mango creme for me because that was my favorite! They really go out of their way to make their clients happy and provide such a high quality product I am just so happy with this team and want everyone to know how FABULOUS they are!!!

I LOVED how my cake looked: Tiffany blue ombre frosting with bands of red hearts going around the bottom of each tier, a figurine of my dog at the top. However there was a little problem. We had asked for a 3-tier decorated cake and 2 sheet cakes that had to be pre-cut. The cake was delicious, however, the pre-cut sheet cakes looked awful. The cake was cut as though it was a child's birthday party- NOT a sophisticated wedding! Think messy tiny square slices of cake with terrible edges- NOT COOL! I was a little bummed as the bride when I saw what the cake slices looked like. Here we had paid so much for this cake at our beautiful vineyard wedding and the cake looked quite unfortunate. I am giving them 4 stars because they were very easy to work with via email and accommodated our allergy requirements (gluten free layers, completely nut free) as well as the ombre buttercream frosting. I think this cutting thing is just something they really have to work on- if you decide to go with them you may want to make it clear that the slices have to look nice.

I love Cero to pieces. The cake was beautiful, I came in with my own design and he made it happen beautifully. If you are excited about your cake, he will be just as excited about your cake and it will show in the end result. I thought I was going to have to break the bank on the cake. I was pleasantly surprised that it cost me much less than $1,000.00 for about 150+ people I know this sounds gross but we had some cake left over and over a week later it was still moist and good...2 weeks later we threw it out

Cake Expressions made the cake for my wedding. We were impressed with them after meeting with other cake vendors and the add a little bit of chocolate to their fondant so it actually tastes pretty good =) On the day of our wedding our cake was absolutely beautiful & yummy... My only complaint is that they can sometimes be hard to get ahold of by phone. A lot of phone tag...

We had a three tier cake with red velvet, marble and banana flavors. The cake was beautiful and the red velvet was delicious. The banana was not that great though.

Cake Expressions was recommended to us by the restaurant where we had our reception. They had so many flavors and fillings to choose from. And they were surprisingly affordable! We designed a cake (from 3,000 miles away) and emailed a picture we drew. The cake looked exactly like we wanted. It was delicious and everyone had seconds. I cannot wait til my 1 year anniversary so we can eat the top layer!!! :)

Cero was great to work with. He let us bring champagne to our tasting, and sat with us when we explained what we wanted to him. The cake showed up right on schedule, tasted great that night, and the next week as we had a little left over!

Cero was great, he made us a lovely cake for our wedding! The flavor options were yummy (my favorite:lemon/lemon curd). I already have plans to return for future events!!!

I found a picture of a cake from cake expressions in a magazine that I fell in love with! I saved it for my wedding and they created the same Beautiful cake that I fell in love with for my wedding!!!

I have no regrets for my wedding ...except one... ordering my cake with Cake Expressions. The customer service is very good. Cero is very nice, so was the other lady who did our consultation. My gripe is about my wedding cake. I brought a picture with the exact color of what I wanted my cake to be. We paid extra to get our design as we were suppose to get the cake paid for by the Cypress Hotel, where our wedding was. They told us our design was doable and not a problem. One week before the wedding, I even came in and spoke with Cero, he pointed to the color picture and said you want that exact color right? It was fuscia color for the flowers on our cake to match everything else at our wedding... I said yes, you can get that color correct? He said with confidence that he could get that color. On our wedding day, we walked into our ballroom and as we passed the cake, I saw it was pale pink/purple... nothing at all close to fuscia... It made no sense as everything matched our wedding colors...even the flower petals we had on the cake table were fuscia and didn't look anything like the flowers on the cake... so it was disappointing... More embarrassing everyone I've spoken to has said that everything tasted great, everything was perfect, but the cake wasn't that good. So to add more injury to the fact that the cake had nothing to do with our wedding colors, but the cake didn't taste good either... very disappointed with Cake Expressions... It didn't ruin my wedding, but I feel obligated to write a review and warn others ...

This venue was included in a package with my wedding reception site. My husband and I chose a square cake with tiffany blue ribbon on it with a variety of designs. The cake was absolutely beautiful and tasted AMAZING! Everyone at the wedding loved it! Highly recommended! I am not a fan of fondant, but they make the most amazing tasting cakes with a vanilla flavored soft fondant, it doesn't harden like other fondants! He also put edible diamonds on it! Absolutely amazing!

Everyone loved the cake and it was beautifully designed as well as taste good!! Highly recommended!!

OMG, Cero who made our cake was great!!! the cake was BEAUTIFUL!!!! it was a three tier cake that was the color of my girls dresses (orangish) it was beautiful, it had 4 rows of rhineston ribbon with flowers in between the tiers. It was great working with him, the consultation was great, the cake was moist and delicious, there were so many raves about the cake as well as who made the cake, I will be using them definitely in the future.

We have to thank Cero and his wonderful team for starting off with a great consultation and an eye for our vision. He made a beautiful work of art, but something that was extraordinarily tasty also. We hada 3 tiered cake with varying flavors and they were all awesome!

Cero at the bakery is very helpful and was able to duplicate what I asked for perfectly. All of my guests thought the cake was amazing and the bonus is they are very reasonably priced too.

Cero is amazing. The cupcake cake that he designed for us was exactly what we wanted. The service was absoultely amazing. He did a great job. We can't wait to get out 1 year anniversary cake from him. The flavors were amazing and the design was spectacular.

THe cake was exactly what we wanted. All we did was sat down with them and told them what we would like and gave them a color swatch and everything was perfect.

THe final product was amazing! We chose the cake that was previously made for one of the bakery worker's daughters.
