Based out of Weymouth, MA, Cake Monstah is a bakery that specializes in sculpted and bespoke wedding cakes. Owner Michelle Scurio is available to work with couples throughout the Boston area and along the South Shore, sharing her artistically designed sweet treats. Michelle opened Cake Monstah in 2010, following on from her lifetime passion for baking. Throughout her time in the kitchen, she's earned numerous awards and accolades for her creative cakes. This includes taking first place in various cake competitions throughout the South Shore and New England. Her delicious creations have also been featured in magazines like The Knot, American Cake Decorating, and Cake & Sugarcraft. Fondant is one of her favorite materials to work with, thanks to the room it gives her to flex her artistic muscles. You'll get to work closely with Michelle at Cake Monstah to design a bespoke wedding cake for your big day. You'll have the opportunity to sample some of the flavors on offer at a tasting, making sure every bite on the day is as mouthwatering as you've imagined. This bakery can also provide cookies, cupcakes, hand pies, whoopee pies, and macarons. On the day of your wedding, you can rest assured that Michelle will manage the delivery and setup of your cake, expertly showing off your chosen design.

We ordered 4 different flavored cupcakes (chocolate peanut butter, cookies and cream, confetti with strawberry frosting and red velvet with buttercream frosting) for our wedding and a 6 inch cake (chocolate peanut butter) and they were DELICIOUS! Michelle made cookies and a cake for my engagement party and bridal shower - and it was a no brainer to also enlist her for the biggest day of them all. I sent her inspiration photos for our wedding cake and cookies, and she was on it. She was fairly priced, very responsive, and the pick up process was very easy.
Our guests were blown away by the cake, and even more so by the cookies. I sent her photos of our cats and my husbands motorcycle, and she KILLED IT. The cat cookies made me cry - they were so perfect, and my husband was blown away by the level of detail Michelle was able to achieve when replicating a motorcycle onto a cookie. It’s truly insane.
We are so pleased with Michelle’s work, and working with her is a breeze. We can’t thank you enough for bringing our vision to life. Thank you thank you!!

We couldn't have went with a better company the cake and cupcakes were delicious and they all went by the end of the wedding. We even had family come to our home the next day to just eat the top tier of the cake. Luckily we were able to save a small piece to freeze. You can taste the freshness of the ingredients.
We would definitely use Cake Monstah again and communicating with Michelle was easy.

I’m sure Michelle made these the morning of the appointment - my fiancé was so happy and ate everything she provided. The questions we had she took time to answer and explain instead of just rushing. She will really help you with the design you are looking for or try to understand what’s envisioned in your mind and try to recreate it. We were completely blown away by how delicious our wedding cake from Cake Monstah turned out. I was going to originally have a colleague from work make our cake, but he told me a few weeks before the wedding he would be unable to deliver it to...
our venue, so I had to scramble to find someone new! I am so happy I found Michelle! She was so easy to work with, answering emails and texts and giving advice on what she thought worked best. She also got everything coordinated for a cake tasting, but due a last minute schedule change, my husband and I weren’t able to make the tasting. She was so calm about it, and gave us advice about what flavors she thought would be best for our naked cake with berries. When the big day came, I walked into the venue and our naked cake was stunning!! I was a banquet manager at one time in my life, so I’ve tried many a wedding cake, and I was anticipating it to taste like they all do, but as soon as my husband fed me a slice there is a hilarious video of my reaction because it tasted sooooo phenomenal! Multiple guests commented on how amazing it was, and there was only a small sliver left to take home because people were eating multiple slices!! I would definitely recommend Cake Monstah to anyone in the Boston area, because it is truly exceptional!

Thirdly, it's a good thing the venue saved our top tier because the cake ran out. Not because it was too small either, I had someone tell me they were on their third piece because it was so good. We chose a lemon cake with raspberry filling and traditional buttercream frosting. Although it was slightly different than I imagined, it was beautiful, delicious, arrived as promised, and fairly priced. There was not one negative part of the process.

ve so Michelle took my basic ideas and created the most beautiful presentation of cake and cupcakes. I cannot say enough great things about the results!! We had a cupcake tower with 150 cupcakes, chocolate and vanilla with buttercream frosting and red velvet with cream chees frosting. Michelle added with fondant snowflakes, red rose and chocolate chip accents. I have a gluten sensitivity so Michelle went the extra mile to make us a small gluten free vanilla cake with buttercream frosting and fondant red roses which was placed at the top of our cake tower. The cake was so moist and Cake Monstah's buttercream frosting is absolute heaven. All of our guests are still raving about the "delicious" cupcakes!
Michelle and her team are professional, creative and honestly care about their clients. You will not be disappointed! I cannot wait to work with Michelle in the future for birthday parties and anniversaries!

After the wedding and even to this day, my guests are STILL saying how delicious and how gorgeous the cake was. Michelle had also made our own custom topping and that was a huge hit!!! ting strawberry compote, topped with the absolute greatest tasting cream cheese frosting hands down. I literally dream about this frosting! We had a small cake with 70 cupcakes and every single one was perfect. Down to every cupcake wrapper the details were incredible and all of our guests were extremely please. Raving about them for days! Michelle is professional and passionate, seems to be able to create almost anything and is reasonably priced. The cakes were fresh, moist, and delicious. The buttercream was like nothing we've tasted. You could actually taste the butter! Our cake came out perfect.
They worked with us to get us exactly what we wanted. Honestly, who remembers the cake they ate at a wedding? Well, three months later, our guests are still raving about it. Hands down, the best cake either of us has ever had.
Aside from the cake itself, the women here are such a pleasure to work with. So friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. With all the other stress of planning a wedding, it was refreshing not to have to worry about the cake. It was delivered right on time and was exactly what we ordered. We will certainly be using them for future events, as will our wedding guests, I'm sure!

I hate when it's too sweet or dry or has too much frosting. Michelle she made us an AMAZING almond cake with creamy textured vanilla buttercream frosting - it was gorgeous! This cake was so moist and was perfectly balanced when it came to sweetness. Everyone at our wedding loved it and Jesse and I definitely had more than one slice! Her work is absolutely gorgeous and equally delicious. We had vanilla and strawberry for the wedding cake and chocolate for the grooms cake. Michelle Scurio, a Johnson & Wales alumna, has always had a love and passion for baking. It wasn’t until the first time she decorated a cake that she realized this would be her favorite art medium! Her favorite tool in the kitchen is a pastry air brush and she loves working with fondant and creating custom pieces of edible art!
