Cake my Day LLC

I had actually engaged another cake vendor well before my son's wedding on October 8th, 2022 (Chase Cakes - do NOT use them!) Then, two weeks before the wedding, Catherine Chase called to inform me she would be delivering my cake two days early (and almost certainly baking it THREE days early) because she was going out of town the weekend of the wedding. Whut?!! I told her that wasn't acceptable, and she just said she would refund my money -- no "I'm sorry," "I apologize for the inconvenience," -- nothing. She just acted like I should be perfectly happy to serve three-day-old cake at my son's wedding. I just couldn't believe it. So I had to scramble to find another vendor. I called several places that were already booked before reaching Ellen at Cake my Day. I actually think she was already booked as well, but when she heard my sad tale, she told me she could do it. She was an absolute angel to work with -- super pleasant and good-natured, and she agreed to all of my requests without hesitation. Her prices were fantastic ($150 less than Chase), and she didn't try to throw a bunch of add-on costs for every little thing (I'm talking to you, Chase Cakes - $80 extra for one layer to be a different flavor? Really??) The day of the wedding, she arrived on time and included some lovely votive candles to go around the cake that were all her idea, and they looked great! Everyone loved the cake and there were only a handful of slices left. Overall, I would highly recommend Ellen and Cake my Day for your wedding cake. She also does all kinds of really cool cakes for other events -- birthday, retirement, anniversary, etc. She even made a Nike shoe cake for one boy's birthday lol - like a real shoe and shoebox - not just a flat cake in the shape of a shoe! Oh, - and her icing flowers are incredibly detailed. You really can't tell them from the real thing.
