Cake Stand Bakery

I just don’t want to write a bad review, but after talking with Stephanie this afternoon and getting no resolution I feel it’s worth it. No need to name call, just the facts of what happened. I ordered 3 round cakes for a baby shower. All vanilla cakes with vanilla buttercream icing. One was a naked cake. It was supposed to be simple with slight scalloped edges on top. It was a disaster and looked so unprofessional everyone who has seen it couldn’t believe that I paid money for it. We were going to stick the naked cake on top of another round, however all the round cakes came with a ring of buttercream roses on top. I was never told that there would be roses. Apparently this is their standard, but no one mentioned it to me, so how would I know it would be on there? Also when I stacked the cakes, the naked cake icing was a different color than the other two cakes. All the same icing, one super white and the other two were a yellow color. They tasted different and I know what the frosting should taste like since I had a sample of it before ordering. Obviously they messed up the icing on two of the cakes. Stephanie explained that they didn’t know I would be stacking it so it didn’t seem like it would matter. All the cakes were also supposed to be on cardboard that was cut to the size of the bottom of the cakes. Stephanie and I spoke about this on the phone and I emailed her a confirmation that this would be done. Naturally, they weren’t cut so they stood out terribly on our cake base. Plus we had to take the naked cake off of its cardboard base so we could stack it, which was just annoying and unnecessary. Also the cakes were dry. It was just so disappointing all around. I really wanted to like this bakery, but for how many things they got wrong and then to not give me a refund considering the issues were their fault, I’m astounded.

Stephanie at Cake Stand Bakery was so helpful throughout the entire planning process. Honestly, I wasn't even sure I wanted to have a wedding cake (neither my husband nor I are really cake people) but we were working with Cake Stand Bakery through our caterer. I wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone searching for a bakery on their own or are doubting their love of cake! Stephanie was so helpful from the beginning, from the initial consultation to the tasting to the final delivery. Being from out of state, her accommodation with scheduling a tasting was much appreciated. And speaking of the tasting, their cakes are DELICIOUS! I already am wishing for our frozen top tier. They even used multiple combinations in our tiers because we couldn't decide between two different flavors! And although we went with a basic, smooth buttercream finish I have seen their other beautiful abilities in different textures, colors and add-ons. Thank you for providing the most delicious cake I have ever eaten!

Our wedding cake was from Cake Stand and it was delicious! It was beautiful and exactly what we asked for. The guests all loved it as well and we would highly recommend to anyone!

Holly and team at the Cake Stand were amazing to work with and help bring our dessert centerpiece to life at our reception! The cake was delicious and they were so accommodating allowing different flavor combos that our guests raved about (and still do!!). The design of the cake worked beautifully with our cake topper and matched our decor at the reception site perfectly! Thank you Holly and Team!
