Luna delivered exactly our vision for our wedding cake! She was communicative, responsive, and timely in her delivery and all of our guests said how delicious the cake was! We also received a free, prewrapped anniversary cake with our purchase which was the kindest touch :)

Luna did a wonderful job with our wedding cake! We just celebrated our 15 year wedding anniversary and she made our wedding cake dreams come true, the design was exactly what we wanted and it taste even better! We will definitely got to Luna for all future cake needs. Thanks Luna!!!

I absolutely love Luna! She is such an incredible and easy individual to work with. She is professional, timely and detailed. We sent her inspo for our wedding cake and she nailed it. We had also used her services for our bridal shower which was also a hit. Being a vegan with an almond allergy, it was nice that she had options to accommodate all dietary limitations. Non-vegans were raving about how delicious her vegan desserts were.

LUNA IS AMAZING! She provided all of our needs for our wedding and we had so many compliments on our cake and cupcakes. She worked with us to stay in our budget and we will definitely be using her in the future!

Luna made the most DELICIOUS and MOIST carrot cake with spiced rum buttercream for our wedding on June 18, 2022. We asked her to decorate it with lilac ombré draping and it was absolutely beautiful! Luna also made us a separate vegan anniversary cake to freeze and enjoy a year from now! Before deciding on the carrot cake, she gave us several different cake and icing flavor combinations to sample. Luna is a beautiful person to talk with and has a true passion for baking and pleasing her clients.

Amazing! The cake and cupcakes were DELICIOUS and BEAUTIFUL! Exactly what we wanted. Luna was so helpful with quantity suggestions, flavor combinations, and setting up our dessert table. She helped us individually package our cupcakes with made people more comfortable eating them during COVID, but also allowed them to take extras home.

A masterpiece of a cake delivered on time, without any problem whatsoever, decorated to our specifications but far more beautiful and impressive than we had imagined. Great communication throughout, and confirmation 2 days before. We picked the lemon flavor with buttercream, and it tasted amazing, moist and delicious. Many people asked me who made the cake as it was the best tasting wedding cake they'd ever had. We often pass on frosting from the store as we are picky about chemical additives etc... Luna's frosting was made from quality natural ingredients and we enjoyed it to the last bite. She also surprised us with a freebie frozen cake for our first anniversary.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Luna was AMAZING. From my initial contact email to all my questions, and I had A LOT, to giving us samples To try and all the way up until my Wedding day she was reachable and available for anything I needed (I modified my order a bit) We opted to do a 10in Gluten free red velvet cake to cut for myself and my Husband (and a few people who also ate gluten free due to gluten allergy/intolerance) and then got 3 different flavors of cupcakes (non GF) for all our guests. I’ve been gluten free for a Very long time and I’ve never had such a delicious cake. We got so many compliments on the cupcakes and flavors. We had lemon cake with raspberry buttercream icing, pumpkin spice cake with brown sugar butter cream icing and red velvet with Oreo buttercream icing. I already know I want her to make my next birthday cake! Cakes and Bakes is great. You can’t go wrong. I vetted a lot of vendors and her customer service was top notch! The pricing was reasonable and it was hard to find someone to make a small Gluten free cake. I 1,000% recommended!

Luna was such a pleasure to work with! She was so helpful from the beginning. She let my sister-in-law do a cake tasting for my husband and I while we were still living in CT. She also let my husband and I do another cake tasting once we moved to NC. Her cakes taste absolutely amazing! Especially the red velvet with cream cheese icing! She was more than accommodating to my husband and I and was so flexible with everything. Luna is the best and makes the most incredible cakes and cupcakes! I highly recommend her for anyone wedding or special event. The price was great and the taste was even better!

The most delicious cake!! I have a family of non-dessert eaters and the cake was ALL GONE. We had the vanilla with mixed berry compote and lemon for the grooms cake and it was all delicious! We didn’t even save our anniversary cake for the year because we wanted to eat it all up the next morning! Luna is the absolute sweetest and easiest to work with. She made all of my wedding cake dreams come true and it was a pleasure to get to work with her!

Luna made my wedding cake and all I have to say is WOW. Our cake was absolutely delicious AND stunning. I am so happy that we found the best baker in Charlotte for our wedding! We had looked high and low for a baker that could make us a delicious vegan wedding cake and Cakes and Bakes gave us so many options to work with! She went above and beyond and all of our guest were floored with our amazing cake, cake pops, and macaroons! Luna was incredible to work with from the start. When we started working with her it was at the beginning of COVID and she made sure everything would run smoothly no matter what. Her cakes, cupcakes, and cakepops were incredible and the talk of the night. HIGHLY recommend!

Our experience with Luna was amazing. She was on top of her communication all the time, any time I had a question for her her response was very quick! Our cake tasting was awesome, she made us two separate cakes and threw in all the filling and frostings to taste, every single one was delicious which made it hard to choose between them all. They were soooo good! When our wedding day came she was prompt and on time and made sure everything looked perfect. I couldn’t believe how beautiful our cake was when we first saw it. It tasted amazing and absolutely everyone loved it! The lemon cake with raspberry is to die for! I still can’t believe how perfect and gorgeous it was. We cannot thank her enough for doing an awesome job and helping us make our cake dreams come true, as well as making sure she accommodated my husband’s allergies. We had a vegan/egg free cake, nobody even knew the difference! It was truly and amazing experience. We thank you so so so much!

Luna Bailey is the best! Dry professional cake tasting held offsite at our convenience the options were plentiful and the pricing was excellent. The cake was so delicious although it was for 60 people we only had 18 and the cake was more than half gone! I had the cake of my dreams!

Luna was amazing to work with! All of the samples we tried were so good it was hard to narrow down flavors! We ended up doing a small cutting cake, cake pops, and macaroons. So many of our guests commented on how great all of the desserts were. Luna was so nice and helpful, she asked for a swatch of our wedding colors and matched it to icing and the macaroons! Which was such a great personal touch. I would highly recommend her for you wedding or any event!! I am looking forward to working with her again for future gatherings!

Luna is a super sweet person with amazing tasting cake! She went out of her way to do a wedding cake tasting with my future in-laws, because my fiance and I live in a different state. Her email communication with me was prompt and informative. She helped me discuss flavors and budget that would suit my vision without ever saying no to my big ideas. After the tasting, the in-laws couldn't stop raving about the freshness of every single thing they tried! Ultimately, we chose a different baker because of a substantial discount through a tie-up with our venue. If that hadn't been a factor, we would have opted for Luna without a second thought! I am sure my in-laws will be going back to her for more sweet treats in the future. If you want an outstanding baker who is also an immaculate professional and kind person, book Luna!

I was absolutely blown away by what Luna was able to deliver for us! I have celiacs disease and wanted a gluten free cake for my husband and I to cut. Most gluten free bakery’s I came across could only do one or maybe two flavors, but we were able to taste whatever we wanted, gluten free!! The cakes were amazing also, one of the best cakes I have ever tasted. Even my non-gluten free guests loved the cake! Luna did a perfect job capturing the vision I had for the cake, and my husband and I had two of our cake flavors to take home for our anniversary. Our whole experience with Cakes and Bakes was perfect from start to finish, and I absolutely will be returning for any other special event cakes I need!!

Mrs. Bailey made the most amazing wedding cake and cupcakes for my wedding December. Our guest loved it as all of it was gone. There were so many flavors to choose from. The wedding cake definitely was the best cake I have ever had. We will definitely be ordering more.

Luna with Cakes and Bakes made the wedding cake and cupcakes for my daughter and son in law. The cake was absolutely the best cake we had ever eaten. We chose a variety of flavors that included red velvet, chocolate with chocolate gonash, and vanilla with strawberry compote. Cream cheese icing for the cake and buttercream and chocolate icing for the cupcakes. It was the perfect variety to suit everyone's different tastes. All the guests raved about the cake and cupcakes. Luna and her husband were very professional and were sure to make the cake look perfect before they left the venue. We would highly recommend Cakes and Bakes for any occasion and we look forward to doing more business with Luna in the future.

I ordered a groomsman's cake for my son and his fiance's rehearsal dinner with an Appalachian State University theme and when it arrived on Friday, 9/27/19, it was exactly what I envisioned. My son and his new bride, met and fell in love at ASU and he has got to be one of their biggest football fans, so he was thrilled when he saw the cake. Not only did it look great, it was absolutely delicious and I am still getting rave reviews on the cake. In fact, I went to get another piece of the cake and it was gone. Ms. Luna was an absolute joy to work with and she was able to create the perfect cake.

Luna made the most amazing cake for my wedding. Not only is it exactly what I envisioned, it was the most delicious cake I've ever eaten (though I only got one piece - there were NO leftovers - my guests must have eaten 2 or 3 pieces each!). Absolutely phenomenal vendor, awesome to work with from start to finish. We scheduled a tasting which was not only delicious but fun as well. Luna is so sweet and accomodating. And she gives you leftovers to take home! Prices were more than reasonable and payments were very smooth. For reference we had a 85 person cake, 3 tiers and 2 flavors for about $425. The cake looked fabulous and we didn't have to worry about saving first tier, she makes a seperate one to save for 1 year anniversary. I had guests come up to me raving about cake at the reception. Our flavors were chocolate cake with chocolate ganache and rasperry coulis. We also went with a 2nd flavor: creme brulee which was a lovely contrast. Absolutely amazing. I never imagined my now husband or I going for a chocolate & fruit cake but it was *that* good. Luna was responsive and punctual and professional and required no micromanaging at all. She even sent us a pic of the cake with our cake topper before she left our venue on the wedding day. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend her for any event!

I booked with Cake and Bakes only a month or so before my wedding date. Luna, the owner, made the stressful process of picking a bakery to handle my wedding cake a very easy choice! I picked C&B based on a recommendation from a friend and their reasonable prices. The cake was soooo moist and delicious. All of our guests raved about how good that cake was! My husband and I can't wait until our 1 year anniversary so that we can eat the complimentary "topper" she made for us to freeze. My wedding cake was truly a delicious work of art!

I met Luna at a Bridal show and tried a sample of her cakes. It was then that I decided I had to have her make my wedding cake. Her cakes were so moist and delicious and tasted better than any cake I had ever eaten. The butter cream wasn't overly sweet either. At the consultation I gave her a picture of what I wanted my cake to look like. It was perfect! It looked even better than I imagined it would. You definitely want a cake made by Luna!
