lly considering the traditional wedding cake options. After receiving a quote for over $530 on cake with buttercream icing for 65 people, we decided that ordering a variety of cakes via online store was probably our best option...if not to just grab boxes of Betty Crocker & DIY. So, we ordered one test cake, the 1.5-lb lemon pound cake, for about $25 and had it shipped to our house. It was a crazy sweet cake, especially with my favorite mass-produced buttercream icing on the side. Ultimately, we decided the Cakes by Jane was our best option, especially because we choose to get a few different flavors. We ordered four 3-lb cakes (i.e., chocolate, raspberry, key lime, and lemon) and had them delivered a few days before our wedding. Our total cost was about $180 (including delivery). We loved being able to pick our delivery date and that they were delivered on-time without any mistakes. Our caterer made berries in a sugar-lemon syrup to top them off instead of icing. At our wedding, the cakes were just plated out and looked homemade - with their slightly irregular tops and a few cracks. Regardless, our guests DEVOURED these cakes! I had about 1/2 a slice of the raspberry, and I was thrilled. When the reception ended, we had about 1/2 a lemon cake and a sliver of key lime left. Chocolate and raspberry were a hit and completely gone! I plan to order a raspberry for our 2-month anniversary and choose a different flavors to celebrate each of our years to come.

ox that had huge slices of cake and different tubes of icing that allowed us to taste the 12 different kinds of pound cake with three different kinds of icing. We loved them all. When I was finally able to come up she met with us on a Saturday morning. I had drawn out what I wanted it to look like and she said ok that was great. When we got to look at it... it was exactly what i had drawn. It was more than amazing. It had it all. And the taste was so good that people wanted another piece.

went very well. We tasted tons of cake and they were all amazing! Then later, Melissa was harder to get a hold of. I made a special trip from Charlotte to Asheville to meet with her and when I got there her assistant told me she was meeting with me instead. I was a little pissed that I wasted my whole Saturday to meet with her assistant, but in the end everything turned out great.
