We did white almond cake and it was delicious! Maria is so good to work with, she texts to communicate which makes it super easy. They delivered our cake the day of the wedding and we had no problems!

Delicious almond white cake, beautiful decorations. The tasting was really fun, and the process was straightforward. My husband and I could not wait a year to eat the top part of the cake- we ate it the next day with family! We will definitely come back and buy a new cake for our 1yr :)

We used Cakes by Maria and Joe for our February wedding and they did a beautiful job! Maria worked closely with me and my design to give me the best looking cake for the best price, giving her reccomendations as needed. Delicious too!

We used Cakes by Maria & Joe in conjunction with our venue, the Banquet Center at St. Noel. Maria makes the whole process very easy, from her organized Facebook page with all the flavors of cakes to picking out cake decor that matched our wedding vision. We were able to try six delicious flavors of cake and ended up going with a 4 tiered cake with cassata and white wedding flavors. The design we picked was classic, and Maria delivered. We were so happy with how the cake came out and how it tasted! We cannot believe how effortless the whole process was. We highly recommend this bakery for your wedding or any event!

Choosing a bakery was the easiest decision we made for planning our wedding! We live out of town and Maria was very accommodating with setting up phone calls, in person meetings, and the tasting based on my schedule. There are so many flavors to choose from and all are delicious. We ended up going with four different types of cupcakes and a small cake. We couldn't be happier with how everything turned out and highly recommend Maria and Joe. I also love their chocolate hearts and peanut butter chocolate squares and will continue to stop in for those and of course cupcakes when I visit!

Maria and Joe are the kindest couple and their cakes are DELICIOUS. They are so talented and accommodated our requests. We had a naked cake with flowers and berries to decorate, and it turned out beautifully. Guys, seriously, people RAVED about how good the cake was - and we went simple with just a yellow cake with raspberry filling! If you want someone who is talented, professional, prompt with delivery, and has no fuss attached, go with Maria and Joe. You will not regret it, I promise. Seriously though, it's been about a week since our wedding and I'm still eating cake leftovers because I'm that obsessed.

Maria was so wonderful to work with for our wedding cake. She was able to work within our budget and she created the cake of my dreams! She was able to take a design I love from Pinterest and bring it to life. The delivery was timely and they added final touches on site to make sure it was perfect! All three flavors were a hit with our guests - Lemon Raspberry, Cookies n Cream, White Wedding. So delicious!

Maria is a delight to work with-very responsive and trustworthy! She made the whole process stress-free and a very easy part of the planning! She also makes the process extra special by providing a cake for your one-year anniversary, so not only did we feel taken care of, but the cake was delicious and we know we got a wonderful deal!

Maria is a wonderful person to work with! From the first day she made everything so easy. We loved being able to taste so many different flavors and ultimately decided on the dark chocolate cake with buttercream frosting and it was a HUGE hit! We are still getting compliments on how great the cake was and everyone wanted to know where it was from! She also has a lot of design options to choose from and was open to personalizing our design if that was what we wanted. I would highly recommend them for anyone looking for a great wedding cake!!

Our wedding cake was exactly what we wanted - looks and taste wise! Maria is wonderful to work with - super easy and most of our communications were done by text. We had such a hard time choosing the flavors we wanted, they were all so yummy! We were able to pick up to 4 different flavors and we chose casatta, maple bacon, and cookies & cream. Our guests loved it!

Maria and Joe are true pros! They were recommended by our reception venue and we had one meeting to select our design. They are so experienced and were able to brainstorm with us and create a design we loved. We got samples of the flavors as cupcakes to try at home! The cake arrived seamlessly on our wedding day and was DELICIOUS!

Maria & Joe were wonderful to work with! I had them picked out before our caterer, but fortunately they work with our caterer often, so we got a real good deal. Maria willingly met with us late in the evening after work, & was always so helpful in the process. They allow tasting of cupcakes, which is awesome! There are SO many flavors to choose from, & everything we tasted was delicious. We ended up with a different flavor for each tier - lemon raspberry, funfetti & chocolate raspberry. The cake design turned out beautiful! We received a ton of compliments of how yummy the cake was.

My husband and I loved our wedding cake! Not only was it beautiful, it tasted amazing as well. We decided to go with Neopolitan for our main flavor, a suggestion made by Maria, and it was a big hit with all of our guests! I also had them make a groom's cake for the rehearsal dinner. They did a fantastic job capturing my husband's interests. Maria is fabulous! We truly loved the cakes that were made for us!

I knew when I walked in to this shop i was going to love our cake. She made us a beautiful wedding cake and it was enjoyed by all! Ill be back to buy cupcakes!!!

We used Cakes by Maria and Joe for our wedding on 8-1-15. Maria was really easy to work with, especially since we did not have a clear idea of what we wanted. We were able to taste many samples and the cake turned out to be beautiful and delicious!

We were so happy with our wedding cake from Cakes by Maria and Joe!! Maria was very upfront about what designs would look best and helped us design out gorgeous cake. The cake itself was delicious!! We received so many compliments on the delicious cake and frosting!!

Let me start by saying that their cake is absolutely delicious. Best cakes I have had. That being said, everything else was mediocre. The cake was crooked and the ribbon was uneven. I'm a perfectionist so this doesn't fly with me. To make a long story short, my cake actually avalanched. You could see the chocolate cake underneath because the frosting actually slipped off and in some places it folded over. My maid of honor called Maria to come fix it before the reception and she hung up on her. Awful customer service. I'm not saying I won't ever use them again, but I would be careful with layered cakes because it wasn't supported correctly. But this was the only issue I had at my wedding so who cares because you cut the cake to eat it and it tasted amazing.

We really enjoyed our cake, it was three layers and each layer was a different flavor! We had a fall wedding so Pumpkin was a must and it was delicious. It was decorated just how I wanted it simple, but elegant. Maria also makes very good cupcakes and I think she has 15 different flavors to choose.

This is seriously some of the best tasting cake in town. You will have trouble choosing your flavors because everything is outstanding. We went with cassata on the bottom layer and marble with chocolate moose on the rest. Yes, you read correctly, they do cassata cake! And it is SO GOOD. Our guests were raving about it. Best part is, they were one of the best values of everywhere we looked. Our cake was gorgeous, and exactly how we wanted it.

Our venue La Vera included our wedding cake, which was made by Cakes by Maria and Joe. After meeting with Maria, we were super comfortable using her bakery. She listened to what we wanted and created a beautiful, delicious cake. Super friendly and professional, we were very happy and would definitely use their services in the future.

Maria was awesome and was able to fit in a meeting at her home to accommodate my crazy schedule. The cake was delicious and looked beautiful. We were so pleased!

Purchased my wedding cake and a groom's cake. Was the most delicious cake I have ever tasted and was beautiful!

La Vera Party Center includes your cake with the cost of your wedding and then puts you in touch with Cakes by Maria and Joe. Maria was so easy to work with and has beautiful designs to choose from. We went with the lemon cake for our summer wedding and got so many compliments on it! We added feather butterflies around our cake and had a Precious Moments figurine for the topper. I will order cakes from Cakes by Maria and Joe in the future for any event!

Maria made the cupcakes and the wedding cake for my reception. They make a delicious product and it looked beautiful too. Not to mention the great pricing. My guests raved about the cupcakes!

The cake was delicous and came out gorgeous! My only compliant is that we had originally talked about our flowers cascading down the one side of the cake and instead she had them circled around each layer. Not a huge deal but I was really looking forward to that little detail. Overall, everything else was perfect!

Taste tasted good. Not very capable at what they can do. Do not provide flowers. Only use icing. Cake was included in reception. Would not buy a cake ourselves.

I got a cake for 200 people. All 4 of our flavors were fantastic! She is great to work with and she even makes cupcakes in her shop so you can go back anytime to relive your wedding cake:) Loved the way the cake tasted and looked. Those are two very important things!

Maria and Joe make the best cakes! I had a cake by Maria and Joe for my bridal shower and wedding reception. My guests at the bridal shower loved the cake so much they were very excited they would have it again and the wedding reception. Maria and Joe have variety in flavors and are reasonable priced. I will continue to use Maria and Joe for future cakes!
