The best wedding cake in the state of Michigan, we still talk about it 2 months later. Great price point! We also ordered Lions cookies for our rehearsal dinner and cannot wait to reorder next fall. Looking forward to ordering more cakes for other celebrations.

Wow! We did a combination of cake and pastry table choices. Our dessert table and cake (served buffet style) opened at 8pm and I had never seen people run so fast! Our display was wonderful and our guests certainly enjoyed every single piece! Working with this vendor was lovely and honestly pretty affordable compared to other inquires I made.

Our cake was not only beautiful but tasted absolutely amazing. The guests raved about it. We went with four flavors - red velvet with cream cheese filling, lemon with raspberry, white with strawberry and Oreo. I’ve known from the start of the wedding planning process that they would be our cake designer and they didn’t disappoint. They definitely live up to their reputation and I would highly suggest them for your wedding or any event actually. We had the cutest cake testing samples and the process was seamless from start to finish. Thank you!

Cakes By Stephanie was the perfect addition to our wedding. Their cakes are delicious with a variety of flavors and fillings for everyone. We showed them a couple of pinterest photos of what we wanted for our wedding cake, and they executed it perfectly. They respond to emails quickly and efficiently. Cakes by Stephanie did a phenomenal job with our wedding cake! It looked beautiful and was exactly as we had envisioned, it tasted amazing and all of our guests loved it! From our initial tasting with them, we were drawn in by their family-orientated business and the quality and flavor of their cakes. We had the Oreo Cake w/ Oreo Filling, the Chocolate Cake w/ Chocolate Filling, and the White Cake with Raspberry Filling and we loved them all. They were reasonably priced and we love that they provide a complimentary anniversary cake too.

This is undoubtedly the best cake I have ever had!!! I knew as soon as we attended the cake tasting that we would be booking Cakes by Stephanie. The flavor combinations are endless and perfect for any season. We were able to have four different flavors at our wedding no problem, and we had ZERO cake leftover! The staff was professional and helpful. We never had any reason to worry about anything because we knew they had it under control. The prices are steep, but I still recommend it due to the outstanding quality.

Our cake turned out so beautiful! We are ecstatic that we went with Cakes by Stephanie for our wedding day. They were very accommodating as I’m completely dairy free so a smaller cake was made for just me and my husband. I’m not a huge cake person and this was hands down the best cake I’ve ever tasted! I sent them a picture of how I wanted the cake to look and they made it exactly as pictured. Extremely affordable and professional!

During our tasting, we discussed a literary wedding cake with Cakes by Stephanie and we were just blown away by the quality. In fact, several guests told us that they thought we only had one small cake sitting atop two books when in fact the books WERE cake! Not to mention the cake was just delicious! The Oreo cake with Oreo cream in particular was a hit.

This bakery is AMAZING! We used them to create the wedding cake of our dreams on September 9th. I used to work at a bakery near home when I was younger so I knew where I wanted my wedding cake to be from for years. Unfortunately the owner retired and the bakery took new ownership and started to change recipes. I was crushed. At our wedding tasting however, we tried Cake's By Stephanie. They brought multiple samples to try that day and we feel in love. The pricing is so reasonable and the cake is delicious. We booked our appointment to discuss design, flavors and placed our deposit right away. They were able to take a custom design and match it perfectly for our wedding day. We picked a four tier and got four different flavors. They offer a free year anniversary cake so we did not have to freeze our top tier which I think is awesome. I dropped off my cake topper, silk flowers and little dog figurines to be placed on our cake. They carved out tiny pieces to make it look like our dogs took a bite out of the cake, it was adorable! Our guests still continue to compliment how amazing the cake looked and tasted. We will continue to support this incredible bakery!

So many good things to say about Cakes by Stephanie! They were wonderful with helping design the cake to fit our ideas (not too much frosting, gold foil, etc) and all the cake flavors we tried were DELICIOUS! we ended up with a small cake for my husband and I(lemon with one layer strawberry mousse second raspberry mousse) and then two sheet cakes (one cookies and cream, one white with cherry mousse). All were delicious! We also added cookies, and they were a HIT! We ordered 96 for 110 wedding and there were <dozen at the end of the night. I'm very sad I didn't get to try any that night! We also used their bite sized pastries for my bridal shower and they also Went! You can't go wrong with anything they make!

We just got married 7/15/23 and Cakes by Stephanie was amazing! We received so many compliments on how good our cake flavors were, and they nailed the cake design we wanted! It was super easy to work with them and come in to try their different flavors - we also rented a cake stand which we were able to return after our honeymoon (and bought some cupcakes of course)! We would absolutely recommend them and will use them for other events in the future!

We chose Cakes by Stephanie as a recommendation from a friend and we are so glad we did. The cake was absolutely excellent and our only regret was not being able to eat more of the cake since we were so busy that evening! They communicated with us during the whole process and our cake looked exactly as we envisioned. The cake tasting appointment went very smooth as well and the whole experience was just wonderful. Highly recommend Cakes by Stephanie, and we can’t wait for to come back for our anniversary cake!

We hired Cakes by Stephanie to design our cake for our wedding on April 29th, 2023. To say they did a fantastic job would be an understatement! They are incredible; so easy to work with, friendly, professional, kind, etc. The cake was absolutely gorgeous and turned out even better than I could've imagined. It also tasted delicious! We had several guests tell us how much they loved the cake. Very reasonably priced as well. Highly recommend!

Let me just start by saying I am not usually a cake person so I brought my soon-to-be husband in with me to do the taste test. I ended up LOVING almost all the flavors during the tasting. It made it so hard to pick certain flavors. We ended up going with red velvet, cherry chip, and the cookies and cream flavors. Sydnei was our “cake guide” and walked us through the tasting and the process of ordering our cake. She is so sweet and helpful! She gave us so many design options to make sure our cake design matched our wedding design. All our guests loved our cake and a lot of them wanted a second piece! We loved our wedding cake so much that we drove from Livonia, Mi to Monroe, Mi to pick up a few more slices to eat at home! I can’t wait until the next special occasion to buy another cake/cupcake. I’m not usually a cake person but I am for the cakes Stephanie makes!

We ordered a small cake and lots of cupcakes for our 225 person wedding. The cake was beautiful and delicious! The staff was very friendly and helpful during our cake tasting and they delivered our cakes on time to the venue. We even asked to add more cupcakes the week of the wedding and they were very accommodating. The feedback I have for them was that they did not send a box to take the top tier of our cake home in (or they never communicated where it was to our coordinator) and they had an odd way of doing their deposit that we didn't love. They require a $100 deposit, but unlike most other vendors the deposit does not go towards your final bill, rather you get it back when you return a part of the cake stand a few days after the wedding. Knowing the bridal industry, it felt like they should know the days after your wedding are chaotic and couples are usually off honeymooning, so the last thing you're thinking about is returning those cake parts. Not to mention, the venue probably threw them out anyway. The baker at Cakes by Stephanie even said the parts are only worth a few bucks, so it kind of felt like the deposit was a sneaky way to charge more. Just be careful of the deposit if you want your money back. I would recommend them to friends and family and would use them in the future!

I provided a reference photo of what I wanted and Cakes by Stephanie absolutely delivered! It was my dream cake. Not to mention, it tasted absolutely delicious. Our guests raved about it and went back for seconds. There are countless flavors to pick from but we went with lemon for one tier and chocolate with cookies and cream filling for the other tier of our 2-tier cake. I have had Cakes by Stephanie at other weddings I have been to, and even at my high school prom. There was absolutely no other bakery in mind when picking one for my wedding. Cakes by Stephanie has delicious and beautiful cakes, cookies, and pastries. I ordered a cake for a friend's wedding shower 10 years ago and immediately had to see if they could accommodate my wedding. My best friend (MOH) enjoyed the cake testing since we got to try a variety of flavors (and left with some goodies we purchased). For the wedding, my husband and I chose a three-tier cake with a different flavor on each layer. We did carrot cake and cream with cheese frosting, chocolate cake with Oreo mousse, and white cake with Raspberry. We got SO MANY compliments on the cake. We also ordered dairy/gluten-sensitive cupcakes for our guests with food sensitivities. The cake decoration was also simple but beautiful and went beautifully with our décor and cake topper. I highly recommend them for all your baking needs!

They delivered to our venue as well which was so nice to not have to worry about transporting it ourselves. Very affordable especially for all that you get!

We received so many compliments on our cake and I completely understand why. The cake was absolutely amazing!!!! It tasted so good and looked amazing! We went with Chocolate and White cake for our various tiers and added in the chocolate mousse and the fresh strawberry mousse. Highly recommend both flavors here! Cakes by Stephanie was super easy to work with and would definitely work with them again! I wish they were closer to my house so I could purchase cakes/desserts more frequently from them! 10/10 would recommend!

Cakes by Stephanie exceeded our expectations. Excellent customer service. The cake tasting was fun. Our wedding cake was designed perfectly and my vision was realized. CBS quoted us for cookie favors a year in advance, and even when the price of their cookies had gone up, they had HONORED their original quote. This is a true attestation to their commitment to their community and customers. I am a Monroe local and have always supported CBS. I would highly recommend them to family and friends.

We had a fabulous experience with Cakes by Stephanie! The first time we stopped by the bakery to check it out for our wedding they gave us a large container of cake flavor options for free! I was also hoping to taste a different one and they handed us a large slice of carrot cake out of the back also for no charge! We ordered a small cake and a table of various cupcakes; the table looked beautiful and all of the guests loved them! We definitely plan to use them again for other events in the future.

One for our wedding cake and then the others for the sheet cakes for the guests. They also worked with out florist to make sure flowers were added to the cake and it turned out exactly how I wanted.

Cakes by Stephanie was an amazing vendor for wedding cakes as well as baked goods. We had done our cake testing during the pandemic and they were so kind to have a large box full of all kinds of cakes and filling for myself, fiancé and family to try to help us make our decision. We had chosen three flavors ( lemon with lemon filling, white cake with raspberry filling and Oreo cake with Oreo filling). All cake flavors were amazing. We had soooooo many compliments during our wedding on how great the cake was. It was also so beautiful! They had coordinated with our floral designer Jen House Design and the flower decor on the cake as well as the design on the cake itself was amazing. They also did our sugar cookies that we had in our guest bags for our hotel guests. We received so many compliments on these- that they did not want to eat them because they were so beautiful! but they are also so delicious :) We would recommend this bakery to anyone!

Cakes by Stephanie is amazing! We had a 4-tier cake each with a different flavor, and I got so many comments on how good it tasted. I have guests who are still talking about it! The decorating was beautiful as well - they did intricate buttercream flowers on the bottom layer of the cake, and coordinated with our florist to incorporate fresh flower clusters on each tier. We will definitely be a customer again, we have more flavors we want to try! :)
