Lyssi was so sweet and easy to work with! She was quick to respond and thoroughly answered all of our questions. And the cake! We did a tasting of several different flavors and there were so many delicious ones to choose from at a very reasonable price. Everyone at our wedding absolutely LOVED the flavors we ended up choosing (almond with cinnabutter filling and their signature black tie-n-tail), we had almost none leftover! And the decorations on the cake itself were gorgeous and exactly what we had described to Lyssi. When we arrived at our venue the cake had already been delivered and we never had to worry about it once. We even ordered another small cake after our wedding so we could have more. Overall, excellent customer service, great value, and delicious cake! What more could you ask for from your wedding cake baker.

Lyssi was fabulous to work with and her cakes and cupcakes were to die for. I received so many compliments. She was so personable and answered every question I had. The picture I gave her of what I had in mind for my cake looked exactly like what I had shown her. I was so impressed with her as a business owner and baker. Thank you again!

Lyssi's cakes are the BEST!! She made delicious Tiffany box cakes for my bridal shower & the most beautiful/delicious cake with a Tiffany blue bow on it for my wedding cake! We tried the champagne with fudge frosting in the middle - wonderful! She is really great to work with! 5+ stars!

We can't say enough good things about Lyssi's cake and cupcakes for our wedding. I'm sure you've heard it a thousand times "wedding cake isn't as good as you think it's going to be". That's completely false if you used Cakes to You. We got so many compliments on our cake, it looked amazing and tasted even better. I can't recommend Lyssi enough if you need a cake vendor.

The best cake with the smoothest frosting! We used Cakes to You for our wedding shower, recent birthdays, and my mother in laws wedding. Lyssi is so great to work with and extremely helpful when making decisions. Whenever we get a cake from her, everyone raves about how good it is (we love the almond and the white cake).

We could not be happier with our decision to have our wedding cake made by Cakes to You. Lyssi was excellent with communication from our first inquiry to the delivery day of. We wanted a classic tiered cake with our dog represented somehow and she did exactly that! My husband does not usually like sweets, but he said this is the best cake he’s ever had and wiped his plate clean at the wedding. (Such great flavor options!) We got so many comments on the cake from the looks to taste. Our venue recommended Lyssi, and was as equally as excited as we were to have her as our cake vendor.

We found Cakes to You at a tasting hosted by Geneva on the Lake Lodge. This cake was amazing. Working with Lyssi was a pleasure. She arranged for us to get samples so that we could choose our flavor and gave us the option of doing different flavors in the same cake. The cake was absolutely beautiful! It was moist and so good! The best cake I’ve ever had!

She made my abstract/urban sunset theme vision come to life beautifully. The cake tasted incredible. All of our guests had rave reviews. Not to mention, Lyssi was so kind, professional, and flexible every step of the way. We also found her pricing very reasonable, even with getting a different flavor and and filling on each of the 3 tiers. The cake and the service were more than worth it! We use cakes to you for cupcakes at our wedding and they were a hit! The tasting process was easy and free. She was even super helpful and delivered the cupcakes to our hall. I will be using her for all my cake needs in the future!

Lyssi's cakes are FANTASTIC. Not only was she super easy to communicate with, but her provided cake tasting was delicious. We went with her most popular tuxedo cake with white icing. People kept asking us if our cake was fake, it looked so perfect! We also made the mistake of not providing to go boxes and people literally took pieces in their HANDS to take home haha. Lyssi did an amazing job making pastries for our son's first birthday party! She made custom cut out cookies, cupcakes, and an adorable smash cake with a beluga whale on top. We got so many compliments on both the decorating and the flavors. Lyssi was also incredibly responsive with emails, which was very appreciated as I teach during the day and can't always do phone calls. Highly recommend Cakes to You!

‘Cakes to You’ was perfect for our wedding at Cleveland City Hall! They’re a family-owned business in Mentor that does it all, including delivering a five-tiered cake downtown! We worked with Debbi and her daughter Lyssi -- they're professional, experienced, and really care about what you envision. We had different flavors and decoration on each layer…and the cake came out beautiful. We continue to get birthday cakes from them because of the quality taste – try the premium banana flavor! Much respect and appreciation to the ‘Cakes to You’ team!

First off, I just want to say how amazing Debbi was to work with for our wedding. She was flexible and accommodating to all my requests and changes. We ordered a 4 tier cake for our wedding and I just sent her a picture of how I wanted the cake to look. It looked SO amazing!! I loved how it turned out so much- absolutely perfect. When our florist added the flowers to the cake, it was the cherry on top. I didn't get to take a picture of the personalized cookies we ordered for the wedding, but those looked incredible too!! Best of all, both cake and cookies tasted delicious. Thank you so much for dealing with me and being so kind to all my requests. Everything was beautiful. I would definitely order from Cakes To You again if we have any other future events!

We booked Cakes to You for our July 11th wedding and I can’t recommend them enough. We had many people compliment how beautiful our cake looked and even more how great it tasted! Our planning was very simple, we went for a tasting in January and picked out the style we were looking for. It was a simple process and Debbi and her crew were wonderful to work with!

My husband and I had the opportunity to sample cake from Cakes to You several times at vendor events and so it was a no brainer when we decided to reach our and set up a formal tasting to select our cake and flavors. Debbie was so nice to work with and she made the process very easy. The cake was one of the easiest decisions we made throughout the wedding planning process! Our wedding cake turned out absolutely beautiful and was so delicious!

My two stars are for the cake itself. It was delicious and we got many compliments on it. Because I think the cake quality it what’s most important, I decided that Cakes to You deserved some stars. If you are looking for good customer service, then this should not be your first choice. The owner of Cakes to You was incredibly rude to me. If I had another choice of bakery, I would have walked away from this place. When I requested a 1 tier cake plus two sheet cakes for my wedding, the owner felt it necessary to tell me that I would “regret” having a “sad” 1 tier cake for my wedding day. She went on and on about how bad it would look if we only had a single tier. She said it would be disappointing and that I would look back on my wedding day with regret. All of this over a single tier wedding cake. To add to the concerning behavior of the people working here, when we arrived to pick up our cakes and put them in coolers, one of the employees snapped at me. She said they wouldn’t be liable if something happened to the cake when it was put in our coolers. Which I understand, but the attitude was unnecessary- ESPECIALLY on my wedding day. So all in all, if you have more than one option for bakeries, don’t pick this one.

It was an absolute joy to work with Debbie from Cakes to You! From our first meeting, to cake tasting, and ordering she made it a wonderful experience. We could not wait to see the final result on our wedding day...and it was AMAZING! The cake tasted fresh & delicious! Our guests loved that they got to choose their own flavor. It was a huge HIT. I arrived at my reception to find that they had decorated the cake in a similar but still different style than I had selected. However, the cake was absolutely delicious, and all the guests complimented how tasty it was. In the end, only a handful of people knew it was wrong, and it was still beautiful. If you are the type of bride who wants everything spot on, I would suggest someplace else.

Our wedding cake came out beautifully. The design was elegant and the different flavored layers were delicious. Can’t wait to enjoy the top layer on our 1 year anniversary. Also if you have a cake topper, you are able to drop it off to them the day before the wedding so that is one less thing for the bride and groom to worry about! Our cake was delicious and very pretty! Definitely recommend trying the peanut butter filling with chocolate cake, so good!

My husband and I ordered a 5 tier cake from Cakes to You. All of the flavors tasted delicious! Which is why it's so disappointing to give them a 2 star rating. My first disappointment was when my husband and I (fiancé at the time) went to a cake tasting back in October and the woman was so rude. She made a racist comment asking me what my nationality was and then said "you're going to have the most beautiful babies" only because I'm not white. Such a racist comment. So unprofessional. It made me want to find another cake maker but it was too late because we already paid her. The second disappointment was that the design itself was very plain. The samples she showed us in the book were beautiful but the cake was not like any of them. She NEVER once drew me a proof of what our design would look like. Also very unprofessional. I would NEVER recommend this vendor to a bride.

We got our wedding cake and groom's cake. They capture the image for the groom's cake perfectly and our wedding cake was simple and elegant which is exactly what I wanted. It was delicious too!!

When we were wedding cake shopping, I wanted to make sure we decided on a place that could provide both a beautiful cake but one that tasted good- as that is sometimes hard to find. My husband’s family lives in Mentor, and had previously had pleasant experiences with Cakes to You. So we decided to try it out, even though our wedding reception was in downtown Cleveland. The distance turned out not to be an issue at all, as they offered delivery services all the way to downtown. After our delicious cake tasting, we couldn’t decide which flavor we enjoyed most, so we decided to go with several layers as follows: Champagne, Black Tie-n-Tails, Red Velvet with Cream Cheese Filling. The day of the wedding, I was taken-back by how beautiful our wedding cake turned out. Cakes to You brought my Pinterest wedding cake vision to life!! We wanted something simple yet elegant, and that’s exactly what we got. However, I’m not sure what was better, how beautiful it turned out- or how much everyone enjoyed the taste of it. The cake was a huge hit at the wedding; multiple people asked me if they could have a second serving. Thank you Debbie, we were so pleased!! Definitely ordering from you again for our next event :)

SIMPLE AND ELEGANT We chose Cakes to You after attending a Bridal Fair and cake testing. The cake was delicious! Moist, flavorful and pretty. The perfect ending to a lovely meal.

Our wedding cake was the most beautiful cake I have ever seen! Debbie was great to work with, the cake was perfect. We did 4 flavors and everyone loved our choices..so much so we hardly had any cake left! She did cupcakes and cookies for our shower also, along with cookies for welcome bags for our guests staying at a hotel. We received so many compliments!

My husband and I met with Debbie from Cakes To You at a wedding showcase in Mentor mall where she had several samples of the different flavors of cake and pictures of the cakes she makes, and we were sold when we tasted the different varieties she had as well as the unique or traditional types of cakes. There were so many to choose from, it took us awhile to decide!! When the big day came the cake arrived on time and in perfect condition and looked beyond our expectations. We received so many compliments on how pretty and how good the cake tasted we were really happy. She even worked with our florist to add the flower cake topper we chose.

I worked with the owner, Deb, and she was fantastic. Extremely helpful and gave my husband and I advice that helped us save a little money. She worked with me about my vision of what I wanted our wedding cake to look like and it turned out perfect. She does not work with fondant because of the awful taste. Her cakes not only looked great, but but they taste amazing as well. Our cake was incredibly moist and the frosting was the perfect accent of sweet. I have since used her for two birthday cakes and a grooms cake and they have all turned out awesome. Would definitely come back.

I showed the bakery a photo of a cake design I had wanted and when it showed up on the day of the wedding, it looked exactly like the picture! The cake was beautiful and tasted delicious!

My mother really wanted a cake with frosting rosettes for my wedding. I had been to several bakeries in one day and ended up at Cakes to You. They had the very cake we wanted on display! I was able to make my order on the spot and buy some delicious cupcakes to take home. They delivered the cake the day of the wedding and even used cut flowers we had to decorate it. The cake looked great--three tiers of white rosettes! And it was delicious. Many guests said so. The cake fed nearly 100 people.

First off, no fondant was needed for the beautiful design of my cake, which is perfect for me because I hate fondant! Best buttercream frosting, both in looks and taste! The cake was so delicious and moist, which you seldom get with wedding cakes. So many flavor and filling options, too! The pricing was very fair, especially for such a great cake. Debbi also put together some dessert trays for us at an incredibly reasonable price. The desserts were so good, that I never even got any because our families scarfed them all down. 100% recommended!

We picked from a book of samples, which were all sort of amazing! We had a square / round combination with 4 different flavors and it was transformed from sample cake to our own perfect vision of what we wanted! We wanted to accent a little Disney into our wedding and these guys did so great!!!!! The cake was absolutely delicious , all three flavors we got to try at the wedding and I can't wait to try our top!!! Which is packed into a cute little box ready to go for us next year! :) p.s -- champagne flavor is AMAZING

We got to try all different kinds of cake and were able to pick different fun flavors for each layer. I was also able to design the outside of the cake. It was beautiful!

When I first spoke with Debbi, I told her I wanted this one particular cake that I had seen of hers in the Mall. She was more than accommodating. I unfortunately didn't have any cake at our wedding, except for the cake cutting. Everyone however raved about how the cake was amazingly good. When I did finally have a piece or 3(don't judge me...lol) was simply delish!!

We chose the baroque style wedding cake and it was beautiful and delicious (champagne flavor). Debbi was great with communication via email, which I greatly appreciated. I provided her with some color ideas and she suggested some of her own, which I ultimately went with - I was glad she spoke up and gave her opinion! She was a vendor I felt like I trusted to do the job, and she definitely came through.
