Rosa is wonderful! She made us feel so relaxed about wedding planning and made sure everything went smoothly with the cake and cupcakes. We are *still* getting compliments about them months later! We would definitely recommend checking out her instagram and ordering a cake from her!

We were so happy to have chosen Rosa to bake our wedding cake! We wanted to find a local, small business, and CakeShine was perfect. Rosa hosted us for a tasting at her Brookland Tastemakers location and we were immediately sold. Her cake was amazing, which is no surprise since she has many years of experience and has trained under some of Europe's top pastry artists and bakers. Moreover, Rosa was incredibly sweet and accommodating! She was totally fine with us altering our cake flavors and adding some macarons to our order. We ended up with a 4 layer tiered cake, all of which had different flavors and all of which our guests raved about. I didn't know I loved red velvet cake until I tried hers :) I would highly recommend her for delicious desserts, affordable prices, and to support a local DC business. Thank you, Rosa!

Good morning, Rosa! Sorry it took me a while to send this to you. I would like to thank you for the AMAZING cake you made for us. It was beautiful but mainly it was DELICIOUS. I have never had a wedding cake so good. Every single one of our guests complimented me for the cake. I even had people posting on facebook that the cake was one of the best parts of the wedding! Hehe We loved it, all our guests loved it.

Rosa was amazing. We went with an assortment of cupcakes with a small anniversary cake on top. Everyone raved about them! Rosa was completely willing to accomodate our taste preferences (but honestly, we made no adjustments from what she made at our tasting). Theycupcakes also were beautifully displayed and Rosa added extra touches to blend them with our color scheme - purple ribbon around the cake, beautiful cupcake holders, and purple and silver sprinkles on top. We loved working with her and I already am anxiously awaiting our one year anniversary so I can keep eating the cake!

Rosa made an incredible cake for our wedding day. She is excited about cake and making your day special. The tasting part was fun and the overall price was incredibly reasonable. Rosa created a gorgeous cake for my wedding day and the price was very reasonable. She arrived promptly on the wedding day and set up my cake and even went out of her way to arrange flowers on it. She is very kind and answered my inquiries very quickly and presented pictures of her work to me on Facebook and Instagram. Cakeshine and Rosa was one of the best vendor finds and decisions of our wedding! She made our 4 tier wedding cake as well as a detailed Washington Capitals Groom’s cake. From the tasting until the end of our wedding she was wonderful. During the tasting Rosa was very sweet and let us sample multiple flavors – which were all excellent. I had a photo of what I wanted for both of our cakes and she made my vision come to life – at a beyond reasonable price. We had a different flavor/filling in each layer of our cake and everybody loved all of it. We 100% highly recommend Rosa and plan on using her again in the future! I really can’t say enough good things - Thank you, Rosa!

We HIGHLY recommend Rosa as a cake baker! After receiving some ridiculously overpriced quotes from other bakers in the DC area, we came across Rosa’s profile on the Knot. When I sent her an inquiry, her response was lightning fast and her communication throughout the process was always on point. After meeting her in person and trying her cakes, we were sold. She is such a sweet, kind, responsive and professional woman and her cakes are insanely delicious at an unbeatable price. We ordered a three-tier caramel cake with vanilla buttercream frosting and it was mouthwateringly amazing. Couldn’t be happier with her work and next time we need a cake, we will definitely be calling Rosa.

The cake itself was delicious, everyone said it was very delicious. Our one issue was the pictures we had sent to be put on the cake did not turn out as we had imagined.

After looking through a slew of flashy wedding cake baker websites with equally flashy price tags, finding Rosa, owner of Cakeshine, came as a warm and welcoming alternative that was as invaluable as it was affordable. Truly, from the start, Rosa urged us to give her a personal call rather than file a form for a quote, and that's all it took to sell her to us. Ever gracious and eager to satisfy, Rosa communicated regularly with emails, set up a lovely and homey tasting array, and collaborated with us on a custom designed Washington DC themed tiered wedding cake. She invited me to be involved in the design to ensure I got what I wanted, checking in with me about design images, colors, and even the cake stand, which she went out and found on our behalf. I was so pleased at her dedicated demeanor and efforts to go above and beyond despite the fact that she was running her own show and newly established that I entreated her to design DC inspired cookies for me as well. True to form, Rosa delivered on this as well, providing reasonably priced cookies with multiple adorable and technically artistic designs. She even honored my request to bake cookies in more than one flavor and bagged them separately as a courtesy. Every touch she put on those cookies was well appreciated, and guests left the cookie platters without a crumb. In all, working with Rosa was a fun and rewarding experience of close and constructive conversations, professional passion, and seamless delivery.

Rosa is AMAZING!!!! When we first met at our counseltation, I immediately felt comfortable with her. She was very clear about what she felt would be our best options were. She had great ideas and so many options that showed off her talent. When that day came, her delivery was flawless and professional. We had over 250 people at our wedding and everyone loved the cake, which was 4 layers, 3 flavors, each flavor better than the next. The details were PERFECT for our theme and made our pictures even move beautiful. I cannot thank her enough for how simple she made this process. I’ll be referring her to EVERYONE.

Rosa was awesome!! She accommodated our schedule for our cake tasting since we were coming from out of town. She provided us with a variety of cake options and everything we tried was really good. She was flexible and we selected a different flavor for every layer of our cake. She also created a beautiful cake based on a drawing my husband made and sent to her for the design. Our guests loved every layer of the cake so there was nothing left at the end of the night! Overall, Rosa was amazing. Our cake was delicious, delivered on time and beautiful. Rosa is definitely RECOMMENDED!

Working with Rosa was a joy! We loved talking with her and getting to know her, as a baker and as a person. All of her sample cakes were amazing, and her caramel cake was the best cake either of us have ever tasted! She made a beautiful cake for our reception, and her flower decorations were beautiful. She made an effort to make the entire experience feel personalized and affordable. I can’t believe we found such a gem in the DC area and we look forward to working with her again in the future! Can not recommend Rosa enough.

I am very particular and a bit of a perfectionist with very high expectations. Rosa exceeded all of my expectations with the creation of a beautiful wedding cake masterpiece. The cake was beautifully decorated with fresh flowers and the taste was moist and simply delicious. All of my guest walked away talking about how much they enjoyed the cake! I will definitely use her services again and highly recommend her if you are looking for a beautiful and tasty cake. I'm not a big fan of eating sweets but I must admit my guest and I ate the entire cake!

We were looking for an affordable cake for our son wedding, we came across Cakeshine and decided to give it a try. The decision was made last minute and only 1 week to the wedding date.
