ing they brought us 23 different cakes to try. The sales woman Alisha brought out the cakes and told us to take our time and left us while we were trying them which I really appreciated! I didn’t feel watched and I felt like I could openly discuss my opinions with my fiancé without being listened to. The tricky part was they ALL were so good! The cake base is incredible, and there are so many filling options. Once we were finally ready we discussed designs and they were really helpful in working with our ideas but also giving us design options without being pushy. This was the second vendor we explored for our cake and we could not be happier in making our decision to work with them. I truly felt pampered being there and a day later we are still talking about their wonderful service. I’m excited that we are going to use them for our cake, and look forward to working with them as our wedding day approaches! I’m also super excited to see how our cake turns out!

s the bakery for our wedding cake. Complimentary coffee was offered to pair with a HUGE tray of delicious cake options. Aisha was helpful and friendly, as she explained everything to us in detail. We never felt pressured to have more than what we wanted for our cake and even though the bakery was busy the day we went in for our tasting, she gave us her full attention and was kind. We went to Palermo’s next to compare but Calandra’s won us over, hands down. Palermo’s cakes tasted defrosted. Calandra’s cakes were FRESH. We went back for dinner at Calandra’s Italian Village on a different night. Born and raised in Brooklyn, the food (and Italian bread) tasted like home. The choice was easy... so we ended up booking our rehearsal dinner with Calandra’s as well! We are so excited for Calandra’s to be such a big part of us becoming husband and wife. Extra bonus? Calandra’s is the official bakery of the Jets, which is my fiancé’s FAVORITE team. He’s been a diehard fan since childhood but he doesn’t get to go to many games. After the stress of the wedding is over, he would love to see the Jets in their new uniforms take on the Patriots on October 21st.. Definitely also going to look into options for a Jet’s groom cake for him as well.. Choose Calandra’s. You won’t be disappointed!!

as soon as possible. The tasting experience was like night and day compared to Palermo. We chose a naked cake and it turned out great. Our guests commented on how fresh it tasted compared to most wedding cakes they have eaten. Not surprising as it was made that morning. Freshness counts! We opted for fresh flowers and we brought them in the day before our event on 6/22/18 and @ no extra charge (Palermo was charging $50) they arranged the flowers on the cake beautifully. We now have a new go to bakery. Thank you Aeisha and Calandra's for helping us create a special night.

ooking wedding cake, it was more important for us to have a cake that tasted good! And that's exactly what we got. The cake tasting was incredible, so many different combos to choose from. We went with 2 different combos for our tiers: vanilla cake with canolli cream filling, and chocolate cake with raspberry jam filling. Both were INSANE! We got so many compliments on how awesome the cake tasted. It also came out beautifully! They decorated the cake exactly how we asked. They were very good at responding to e-mails up until the day. Already looking forward to having a slice of our frozen wedding cake for our anniversary! If you want a beautiful cake that tastes insanely delicious, go with Calandra's.

Aisha helped us and really made sure we got what we wanted.

It was just like the picture and they used small white spherical sprinkles for the stars, so awesome. It tasted delicious and everyone is still talking about that cake. We already ate the top tier (and shared it with family) because we decided we'll just go back and order a fresh cake from Calandra's on our 1-year anniversary so we can relive it. :)
