Calandra’s wedding cake tasting was easy & fun. They offer a variety of flavors to choose from, giving you a lot of ideas. We went with a vanilla cake with custard and fresh strawberries for our wedding day & it was the cake of our dreams! The cake was delicious, and we received so many compliments on it. Ayla was great to work with and answered all questions in a timely manner. We cannot wait to enjoy our cake on our first anniversary next year, too!

Out cake was so good I could eat it every day. Normally wedding cake is just eh, but EVERY ONE said ours was so good. We ordered vanilla cake with Italian custard, strawberries, and vanilla buttercream. The tasting was awesome because you get to try so many flavors (we didn't finish, we were so full) and there are so many standard cake design options to choose from. Calandra's was better than any other bakery we tried by far - you cannot beat their flavor!

We couldn’t be happier with the cake from Calandra's! From start to finish, the experience was wonderful. They were incredibly responsive, easy to work with, and really helped us bring our vision to life. We wanted a cake that was not only beautiful but also reflected our style and taste, and they absolutely delivered. It was exactly what we dreamed of! Our guests were raving about both how gorgeous the cake was and how delicious it tasted. So many of them said it was the best wedding cake they’ve ever had! Additionally, we had a bit of a mishap on the day of our cake trial—we got lost and ended up arriving 30 minutes late. We felt awful, but they were so kind and gracious about it, and still gave us a warm, welcoming experience. The cake tasting itself was a highlight of the process, and the service was top-notch. We highly recommend Calandra's for anyone looking for not only a stunning cake but also a wonderful experience from start to finish!

I tried a cake tasting with my other bride friend and I couldn't help but use them for my cake tasting. Just like the first it was mesmerizing with the flavors they had to offer! We had our cake tasting at Calandra's which was so much fun! They had so many flavors to choose from. We ultimately just picked the chocolate mouse and vanilla whipped cream to be neutral for our guests but we were very happy with our cake overall. They delivered on time and were very easy to work with.

We loved every part of our cake tasting experience. From the hot coffee to the cake tasting platter, we enjoyed sampling every single offering. Once we were ready to discuss, we sat down with an event coordinator to plan out our cake. We were given helpful ideas and lots of time to decide. Our wedding was at Nanina’s in the Park and the cake sat beautifully on the gold cake platter in the ballroom. It was the perfect addition to our wedding day. Just remember to book your appointment early, there is a reason they book up fast!

Calandra's made the wedding cake process so easy. Their cakes are absolutely delicious and not overly sweet. As a couple who aren't big cake people we wanted something that wouldn't be too sweet and Calandra's cakes were perfect. Our cake was absolutely stunning. I knew exactly what design I wanted going into our meeting and they brought it to life. Not only was the cake beautiful but I have heard from multiple people that it was delicious and it was the first time that they had a wedding cake that wasn't dry. Looking forward to our one year anniversary so we can eat our top tier!

Our cake was included with our venue, but we couldn't have been happier with Calandra's Bakery! From the tasting to the final product, they were incredibly accommodating and professional. We didn't have a solid plan on cake design but they guided us to something we absolutely adored. Our cake ended up coming out so beautiful and delicious!

My wedding cake was delicious and decorated beautifully by them. It was 3 tiers and we chose cannoli flavor. It was fun to come in person to do the cake tasting with my husband as well.

we had two bakeries to choose from that was included with our venue and we’re so happy we went with Calandras! First of all, driving up to their bakery is like a dream! They have their own little plaza because they also have a restaurant side. We booked the Sweet Suite for our tasting (which was not expensive at all!). It’s a private area for you and your partner to enjoy the cake tasting and it also includes champagne, or wine! Ohhh so many cakes to taste and all delicious! We went with chocolate cake and cannoli filling. We didn’t want to go to crazy with the design, and they were so understanding and helped designed the cake how WE wanted it, not the other way around. I would suggest just stopping by there to get pastries because it’s that good!!

Going to our cake tasting we didn't really know what flavor we wanted. There were so many options and they all tasted so good! I'm normally not a caramel fan but the chocolate cake with caramel filling really won me over. My husband and I were in the reception space when the cake got delivered and it looked better than I imagined! While at the cake tasting we sent them pictures of my bouquet and cake inspiration we found online, and they really gave us exactly what we wanted. The cake tasted so fresh and I could not be happier!

Calandra’s Bakery was great with the cake tasting and helping me create the cake I wanted for my wedding. I was so happy with how the cake turned out, it looked beautiful and tasted amazing. Guests were telling me how good the cake was. I am looking forward to having the top tier at our 1 year anniversary!

Calandras bakery did a phenomenal job with our cake! We had a three tier wedding cake with our three favorite flavors from the cake tasting. The cake tasting platter was awesome and they were patient with us while we decided how to design our cake. We gave them two custom figurines of our dogs and they were more than happy to include them on our cake! Delicious wedding cake! The cake tasting was so fun.

This is the cake company of venue works with so we didn’t search through other vendors to find them. The cake the day of was lovely and delicious! We had 3 tiered cake a different filling in each tier. They offer a tasting which I highly recommend to taste all of the flavors. Any add one and custom fillings like berries were a lot more expensive so we went with a plain cake design and got extra flowers from the florist. Delivered on time and in perfect shape, couldn’t have asked for anything better!

Our wedding cake was delicious! They made the process really easy and fun for us. Each layer of our cake was a different flavor and people remarked that the flavors were tasty and the cake itself was really good.

We used Calandra’s to bake our wedding cake and it was delicious! About 4 months out from our wedding date we went to their bakery for a tasting. We tried almost 20 different combinations of cake/icing! Calandra’s partners with our venue and had a book of cake designs for us to choose from. We went with white cake/buttercream for two of the layers and red velvet with cream cheese frosting for the middle layer. The process was seamless and the cake was delicious! Highly recommend!

Oh my gosh! Finally a wedding cake that looks and tastes amazing! We used Calandra’s for our wedding cake which was chocolate with cannoli filling (amazing) and also for a grooms cake at our rehearsal dinner. The grooms cake was outrageous! An amazing Darth Vader cake (red velvet) that looked incredible and tasted even better. My husband was so surprised and loved his special cake. I find it to be rare when a cake looks AND tastes great and they accomplished it! We are looking forward to visiting on our anniversary for some more cake!

Our cake was beautiful and delicious! 3 tier wedding cake with two layers of vanilla cake with vanilla custard and fresh strawberry filling and one layer chocolcate cake with raspberry preserves filling. The cake tasting at their bakery was out of this world. This is top notch. Don't miss out!!

The cake was a huge hit! The tasting was great and everyone at Calandra's was responsive, professional, and friendly. Made the process super easy, and we are happy to recommend them for any event. Our wedding wouldn't have been the same without their cake!!

Honestly I think the tasting was better than the cake the day of. The price was included in my venue cost so that was nice. I did have to pay $75 for fresh strawberries to be added to the bottom layer of my cake. It was just average. I probably should’ve gone with Palermo’s (the other bakery included with my venue).

From the scheduling of our tasting to the day of our event, I was so thrilled to have Calandra’s make our wedding cake!! Aisha and Maria were so easy to work with! Our tasting was so enjoyable, and it was more than we ever expected!! Our selection was loved by all of our guests and it was so fresh and delicious!! The icing on the cake was that Calandra’s included an anniversary cake for our first anniversary!! I would absolutely get another cake from Calandra’s!!!!

We loved our wedding cake from Calandra's! They hosted a wonderful in-person tasting and were so friendly and kind from the moment we walked in the door. The cake was fresh and so delicious! Many of our guests mentioned the cake and how much they enjoyed it. We upgraded to funfetti (amazing decision) and alternated tiers with vanilla & caramel custard. So yummy!

Our venue gave us the choice between Calandra's and Palermo's. We chose Calandra's over Palermo's given the fact that Palermo's has discontinued in-person tastings. We definitely made a solid choice! Aisha and Maria were very welcoming and knowledgeable! From the minute we walked in, they greeted us with unlimited coffee. They had a private table set up for us and gave us all of the time in the world to sample. All of the cakes were so delicious, we had a hard time choosing! In addition, we were not pressured into adding additional items to the cake. We totally recommend Calandra's!

Jeff and I made an appointment for a cake tasting for our wedding and everything tasted amazing! For our cake, we choose a three tiered cake with vanilla frosting and chocolate fudge frosting! It was the best wedding cake I ever tasted and our wedding guests couldn't stop complimenting on how great our cake was! We had our florist add real flowers to the cake too and it was so beautiful! For our wedding favor, we choose big chocolate chip cookies and they were amazing and a huge hit with all our guests! I highly recommend Calandra's as your wedding cake vendor!

We booked Calandra's as part of our wedding package through the venue. The tasting experience was wonderful, we went in person and had time to taste and reflect on all the options. Working with the staff was simple and easy. Our cake was two flavors with two different fillings (price was all inclusive to our wedding package). We chose a simple design and our florist decorated with flowers. The cake tasted fresh and delicious the day of (and day after) our wedding! Definitely recommend!

Calandra's Bakery made our wedding cake experience both delightful and delicious! Our tasting appointment was very fun - my husband and I brought my dad with us, who enjoyed the variety of cake samples (all of which were very generous portions!). Once we were done tasting the different flavors, we talked through layers and design with Aisha, who made the process so seamless and practically mindless (which we appreciated since our heads were in a million other directions with wedding planning). We ended up with three great layers (cannoli, red velvet and strawberries w/ custard) decorated with cascading sugar flowers, and it was a show-stopper!

Nothing but great things to say about Calandra's Bakery! Calandra's made two cakes for us - a "Groom's" cake for the rehearsal dinner, and our wedding day cake. The Groom's cake was perfect! My husband was so excited to see a cake that was designed just for him! He was even more thrilled to see that Calandra's made a mini version of his boat as a cake topper! Our wedding cake was also stunning! It was the perfect representation of our gold, black, and ivory, "Gatsby" wedding. Both cakes were designed beautifully, and most importantly they were delicious and fresh. Our guests could not believe how great the cake tasted. Thank you to the Calandra's team for designing the best cakes! We cannot wait to use you guys for all of our future cake needs!

The cake was absolutely delicious!! They made the cake fresh that morning and since they were a vendor included with my venue I didn't have to take care of anything after we went for the tasting which was really nice. If you go for a tasting, go to dinner at their restaurant afterwards or buy some delicious goodies from their market.

Nothing but good things to say about the cake! It was absolutely delicious and came out beautifully. So many people complimented us on how great the cake tasted. The staff was great working with us as we experimented with different flavors and fillings for each layer of the cake. The only thing we somewhat regret is paying extra for sugar flowers - we feel it was not worth it given how small they were. Our florist ended up adding real flowers to the cake to help it ‘pop’ with more color and larger flowers compared to the sugar flowers. All in all, we loved the cake and can’t wait to go back for more!

Calandra's was a preferred vendor and the cake was included in our venue contract! We went for our tasting and had an absolutely amazing time! The tasting included both chocolate and vanilla cake with every filling option. Planning our cake was extremely easy and the woman we worked with was very passionate about her job!

My husband and I got our wedding cake from Calandra's and we were so happy with our decision. From the moment we arrived for our tasting consultation, we were beyond impressed. We sampled over two dozen combinations of cake and filling, which is more than any other bakery offered us during our consultation. Everything was fresh and delicious. We especially liked that you could taste the flavor and it wasn't overly sweet. The people at Calandra's were very helpful and so easy to work with. We chose a simple piping design, with flowers added on by our florist. We had three tiers, with cookies and cream, red velvet, and vanilla cake with fresh strawberry. It should be noted that my husband is not usually a fan of red velvet, but he loved it from Calandra's and insisted we get that filling for one of our tiers. Our cake looked absolutely beautiful on the day of our wedding and even 4 days later, our leftovers still tasted as fresh as they did on our big day. We met with a few other cake vendors that our venue worked with and some of them wanted to charge additional, ridiculous fees just for some simple piping designs. Calandra's did it all and had the best quality cake. We are so glad Calandra's was a part of our special day and we will definitely go back for our one year anniversary cake!

Calandra's was the bakery of choice of our venue. Cake tasting went amazing because they provided so many options compared to other bakeries. I usually don't care for wedding cakes but the cake was moist and wonderful on our wedding day. We had multiple people asking us where our cake was from. We had two flavors of filling - caramel and cookies and cream. Caramel was a hit! The cookies and cream looked like it was more cream than cookies though, but it was still pretty good! I took off one star because I asked for a pretty simple looking cake and the colors was messed up. I was upset for a second but my fiancé didn't even notice, lol, but I know that can be irritating to other brides.

They were rude to me on the phone, but the cake tasted amazing. Also, I'm pretty sure one of my cake layers was wrong (but I didn't have a chance to verify.)

Aisha was great to work with. I had a vision and pictures of what I wanted my cake to look like and they were able to create my perfect cake! The cake was absolutely delicious- we went with vanilla cake with lemon and chocolate mousse filling! The cake was moist and the fillings were just the right sweetness! The cake tasting was our favorite part, perfectly sized pieces of cake with just the right amount of filling. So delicious!

We wanted cupcakes and a two tier cake. Calandras nailed it! Everything was extremely fresh and moist. We had an entire tier covered in rainbow sprinkles that was perfectly executed. Can’t go wrong with cake from Calandras

My husband and I got married a month ago and we still think about how delicious our wedding cake was! Aisha and her team were able to make the cake of our dreams! From the cake tasting to actually creating the cake, the process was easy! For any desserts you will ever need, go to Calandra's!

Aisha and the Calandra's Bakery Team helped us to create a wonderful evening. Before we even signed with them, the Calandra's team welcomed us with open arms. We weren't too sure what we wanted for our wedding, but with their guidance and creative eye we picked the most beautiful cake - and more importantly it was the best tasting cake. My husband and I often joke that we do not want to wait for our 1 year anniversary to eat that top piece!

My husband and I got married in September 2019. Our venue suggested a different bakery for our cake, but we wanted to make sure we were getting the best, so we decided to do a cake tasting at Calandra's as well. While the other bakery served us stale cake with limited options of flavors, Calandra's served us a whole tray of cakes, each topped with a different icing, that tasted as if they were right out of the oven! We met with Aisha, who was very responsive and knowledgeable and impressively helpful. Once we decided to go with Calandra's, we met with Aisha and helped us to design the exact cake we wanted (even though we weren't sure exactly what that was at first). She also offered us a second (complimentary!) cake tasting during the design meeting. On our wedding day, we could have NOT have been more pleased with the final product. Our cake was beautiful AND delicious! I'm not exaggerating when I say that Calandra's made choosing a wedding cake FAR AND AWAY the least stressful part of planning our wedding...it was even PLEASANT, which I can't say for most other parts of the process. We are THRILLED and are already planning to revisit for celebration cakes for years to come!

I wanted to go a less traditional route for our wedding cake by having one small tier and then the rest cupcakes. Aisha was very accommodating with this request. Our small tier looked gorgeous and was delicious!!! We wanted a very simple design, just white buttercream frosting with buttercream roses at the top. Our cupcakes were vanilla and chocolate. The vanilla cupcakes had fresh blueberries on them to give a pop of color and the chocolate had edible silver pearls. Our guests loved the cupcakes! It was something different for them to experience, and some even had one of each flavor!! Thank you so much again!! 😊

When we met with Aishah, we had a feeling this would be the place we ordered our cake from. No other bakery was as fresh as this one. She gave us exactly the design we wanted and didn't try to upsell us on anything. We have the top tier frozen (which we got to choose our own special flavor for), the middle tier was completely gone, and the third tier we got to bring home about 2/3 of it and IT WAS STILL DELICIOUS THREE WEEKS LATER when we got back from our honeymoon.

The cake was exactly what we wanted, both appearance and taste. It was amazing and our guests loved it!

My fiancé and I went for our cake tasting last night. We got there a little early and walked around. Everyone there was so kind and friendly. The owner even gave us cups so we could get a coffee (or in my case tea) on the house. During our tasting they brought us 23 different cakes to try. The sales woman Alisha brought out the cakes and told us to take our time and left us while we were trying them which I really appreciated! I didn’t feel watched and I felt like I could openly discuss my opinions with my fiancé without being listened to. The tricky part was they ALL were so good! The cake base is incredible, and there are so many filling options. Once we were finally ready we discussed designs and they were really helpful in working with our ideas but also giving us design options without being pushy. This was the second vendor we explored for our cake and we could not be happier in making our decision to work with them. I truly felt pampered being there and a day later we are still talking about their wonderful service. I’m excited that we are going to use them for our cake, and look forward to working with them as our wedding day approaches! I’m also super excited to see how our cake turns out!

Our cake was both delicious and gorgeous. They gave us so many options to try. We brought some friends to the tasting and we even struggled to pick what we wanted to include in our cake because everything was so good. I highly recommend it.

My fiancé and I would give Calandra’s 10 stars if we could, but 5 was the highest option. We haven’t had our wedding yet, but we had such an amazing experience with our tasting, we knew from the first bite that we would be choosing Calandra’s as the bakery for our wedding cake. Complimentary coffee was offered to pair with a HUGE tray of delicious cake options. Aisha was helpful and friendly, as she explained everything to us in detail. We never felt pressured to have more than what we wanted for our cake and even though the bakery was busy the day we went in for our tasting, she gave us her full attention and was kind. We went to Palermo’s next to compare but Calandra’s won us over, hands down. Palermo’s cakes tasted defrosted. Calandra’s cakes were FRESH. We went back for dinner at Calandra’s Italian Village on a different night. Born and raised in Brooklyn, the food (and Italian bread) tasted like home. The choice was easy... so we ended up booking our rehearsal dinner with Calandra’s as well! We are so excited for Calandra’s to be such a big part of us becoming husband and wife. Extra bonus? Calandra’s is the official bakery of the Jets, which is my fiancé’s FAVORITE team. He’s been a diehard fan since childhood but he doesn’t get to go to many games. After the stress of the wedding is over, he would love to see the Jets in their new uniforms take on the Patriots on October 21st.. Definitely also going to look into options for a Jet’s groom cake for him as well.. Choose Calandra’s. You won’t be disappointed!!

Our venue provided an option of a couple bakeries and we chose Calandras! Setting up a tasting was easy and a lot of fun! We came with a fairly large group (7 people) and got two full trays of vanilla and chocolate cake with several types of icings to try. We ended up going with vanilla cake and a variety of icings. The cake looked beautiful and also was delicious!! The bakery is really neat and we've come back a couple of times for dinner and we also bought desserts from Calandra's for our rehearsal dinner.
