Your invitation is the first thing your guests will see and that sets the tone for your wedding. We asked Katherine to address our invitations, and it was one of the best decisions we made! I received many texts saying how beautiful they were. My daughter, the bride, actually kept getting phones calls from friends telling her they were the nicest invitations they had ever seen. So obviously, we were delighted with the result. Katherine matched the script from the invitation. She also matched the color green. The whole process took less than a week. She is meticulous and double checked addresses, just to be sure. But, best of all, Katherine is supportive and friendly and reassuring -- all things you need when planning a wedding. Katherine's calligraphy adds the perfect finishing touch to beautiful wedding or event invitations. She takes time to carefully examine the look and feel of the invitation and then she addresses the envelopes to compliment it. For my daughter's spring wedding, she perfectly matched the font and ink color from the invitation. The result was fabulous! Katherine provides a helpful time line so that the addressed invitations get in the mail when the bride desires. Katherine addressed my daughter’s wedding g invitations we had both inner and outer envelopes . She helped me pick a font that was perfect t to complement the style of the invitation . She also had a variety of ink colors . She was so easy to work with, did them so quickly and they were beyond perfect! Each invitation was handled with care and professionalism . I can’t recommend her enough . I am so glad I didn’t do computer generated calligraphy this is the way to go !!

Katherine turns your vision in to reality. There are few in the world who under promise and over delivery but Katherine continues to do just that. I didn't really know exactly what I wanted and she presented multiple options with details that allowed me to feel completely comfortable that all would turn out better than expected. She helped me present my wife with the single most prized piece in our collection and will be our go-to artist until she begs us to leave her alone! She is currently working on an heirloom piece for our first daughter and she is the only one I would trust to add to our family's history in such a way. She is an artist, a professional and now a family friend. I highly encourage you to let Katherine be a part of your family as well.

ATTENTION BRIDES: Katherine’s work speaks for itself (go onto google reviews to see a photo of my mirror topped with greenery - Sarah + Artem 9/3/2021) and how gorgeous and perfect the calligraphy was for my wedding!! More importantly, she uses washable ink – so the mirror and lettering held up for the wedding perfectly (no scratch offs – the lettering was definitely on there) but after the wedding I was able to remove the with acetone (like the kind you use to take off nail polish) – easy peasy. No need to ruin your mirror! Further on a personal note, she is absolutely wonderful. She answers all emails promptly and even in person she is friendly and warm. When I dropped off the mirror and a few additional items, she sat me down and addressed any concerns or questions I had and formed an outline of what I was looking for. From there we went over the process and even while she was working on everything, she sent me pictures on the progress so I was kept in the loop of when the mirror and other items would be completed. I CANNOT STRESS ENOUGH HOW GIFTED THIS WOMAN IS. While I asked her to use traditional script font for our wedding, she is so multi-talented she can write in many fonts and draw on an array of surfaces (mirrors, textured paper, chalkboards, etc!) so she’s able to tailor to all different types of brides. BRIDES IF YOU’RE LOOKING FOR A CALLIGRAPHER, LOOK NO FURTHER. KATHERINE IS THE BEST OF THE BEST.

Katherine did a great job on our wedding menus and escort cards and was very easy to work with! She worked in tandem with Yellow Bird who printed the menus and did everything in an efficient way. Her calligraphy was beautiful and meticulous! I highly recommend you consider working with her for your event!

Katherine was very professional and such a pleasure to work with! She always made sure I was taken care of and answered all questions (and last minute guest list changes) in a prompt manner! I had a really difficult font picked out and she was able to get through it with ease. I was also under a time constraint and she was able to complete over 200 envelopes in less than a week! Katherine is much more than a calligrapher -- she is an artist, with great taste! We needed six hand-lettered invitations for a pre-nuptial dinner in Greenwich Village. We had the basic verbiage, and a concept for the design. Katherine listened to our general direction -- and delivered a beautiful and sophisticated design which was exactly what we had in mind. She was very patient with our ideas and how we wanted the calligraphy to look on the envelope. Katherine was BEYOND, BEYOND, BEYOND, amazing to work with. Katherine did an amazing job on our Rehearsal Dinner invitations! She helped with the design, printing, and addressed the envelopes in her exquisite calligraphy. Katherine just completed calligraphy for my son's wedding, which is in July. She did a beautiful job, got the work done promptly and was a pleasure to work with. She had a large array of fonts to choose from and helped me pick something that worked beautifully with the invitation. She kept me involved through the entire process in terms of how the work was going and when it would be done. Also, when she started she sent photos of the first few invitations done so I could see how it looked. A great experience and I would use her again.

Because of Covid we had to limit the number of guests at our wedding, so Joe made the invitation artwork. I had heard about Calligraphy by Katherine from my mom and we were so impressed. Katherine listened to all our wants from the start and offered helpful suggestions and improvements. Katherine communicated with us through the whole process and sent us several scripts to choose from. Once we decided on a script she produced the final product quickly. We were blown away by how gorgeous the invitation looked with her calligraphy. Katherine captured our vision and went above and beyond. I found Katherine from searching for a local calligrapher, and I am glad I did! She had nothing but an open mind and worked with me on pricing and collaborating on colors and different styles. She was able to complete envelopes for roughly 80 Save-the-dates in about a week. A quick turn-around in my opinion. They turned out stunning - white writing on dark aubergine. She responds in a timely manner to answer any questions you may have and to update you on the progress. I highly recommend you chose Katherine if you need a calligrapher!

Once again Katherine knocked it out of the box! Katherine was such a pleasure to work with . I had 3 of my children get married in 7 months and we used Katherine for all of the weddings to do our place cards. Katherine does such beautiful work . Katherine was recommended to me by my wedding planner and she was wonderful to work with - very helpful and patient as I was planning my wedding from out of town! Her work speaks for itself: she matched the script for our placards and table numbers perfectly to our invitations (including the perfect indigo shade of ink) - they were a detail we were excited about and the effect was beautiful. I would give Katherine 10 stars if I could. All the raves you see in other reviews are completely accurate. We found her through an online search, and after I'd already corresponded with her, I learned from our stationer that Katherine is at the top of the stationer's list for calligraphers in Chicago. She not only is an artist with the brush, she is incredibly easy to work with. Due to errors in proofs for our invitation (twice!), I had to move dates forward (twice!) for addressing the envelopes, and Katherine was totally accommodating AND gracious about this. She worked diligently to get the envelopes done before my "mail by" date and they were gorgeous. I almost hated to part with them. The subtle deep blue ink matched our invitation perfectly, and her Classic Script is stunning. My sister's daughter is getting married this summer; after seeing the envelopes, she said that she will plan to work with Katherine too. And did I mention she is a delightful person?!? Maybe a 10 star review is insufficient to explain what a pleasure it is to work with her. HIGHLY recommended.

We used Katherine for our wedding invitations and they turned out incredibly well! We used a very complicated and delicate font, where Katherine obtained the pdf output of the font from our invitations to match to! We had burgundy envelopes and absolutely gorgeous gold ink and they turned out fabulous! Amazingly organized, great timing, and so wonderful to work with!

WORKING WITH KATHERINE WAS A DREAM!!! I worked closely with my sister to help plan her wedding and Katherine added every single personal touch we asked for. She has such a wide variety of calligraphy styles she offers and is able to identically match any font you request and even mixes colors to match the exact color you're looking for. Further distinguishing her from other calligraphers is her service of providing samples, actual envelopes, speedily mailed to me (she is local in Chicago but my sister got married in Nashville, TN, and was able to mail all of the products down to us there), the wedding invitation envelopes were as beautiful as we had hoped, and the entire process--the initial engagement and payment, the establishment of a comfortable timeline, prompt delivery of the work--was seamless, reflected her professionalism, and fully met our expectations. Katherine even made signage for the Reception and was able to put anything that we asked together beautifully. She is accommodating and responsive in making corrections, whether her error or ours (there were few on over 300 envelopes), and it was a pleasure to work with her as well as to have our family's wedding celebrations enhanced by her stunning artistry! Katherine Glattard created the most outstanding place cards! She even matched the teal indigo ink that we had used throughout the wedding invitations and signage. She exactly matched our font choice and created the place cards in less than 48 hours of a turn around time! She’s the best!

I have known Katherine for a very long time. Not only is she a beautiful and lovely person, she is extremely talented in her craft. Our daughter was married last fall and Katherine did a remarkable job addressing the invitations and filling out the place cards. Because there were so many changes in the week before the wedding, I kept calling for her to make very last minute changes in the place cards. She could not have been more accommodating.
