Calligraphy by Kay

My sister worked with Kay on different calligraphy pieces for her wedding and I knew once I became engaged that I HAD to reach out to her. Kay helped design a beautiful mirrored seating chart for our wedding day, the table numbers, a sign for our guest book and a beautiful welcome sign. She was easy to communicate with and very flexible. We could not have been more happy with what she created for us and we will treasure the seating chart and welcome sign forever.

Kay did our envelopes for our invitations, and they were BEYOND remarkable! We couldn’t believe how gorgeous her calligraphy was, that it took us longer to stuff all of our envelopes because we just wanted to keep admiring her work!! She gave us beautiful sample options to pick from it was almost impossible to choose which one we loved. She has a true gift as an artist! Not only did we love her work, but she has been quick with responses, unbelievably accommodating, and sincerely sweet. We thought that with her living in Indiana, and us in the suburbs of Chicago, there might be some problems with her being farther away, but she has made everything so easy and is willing to accommodate and help. We love working with her so much that we are having her do all of our signs for our wedding!

BEAUTIFUL WORK. Kay is amazingly easy to work with, super responsive, and perfected every little detail to top off our big day. From the perfectly matched style of our invitations to the envelope addressing, to name and table cards, and a big welcome sign. We were so happy with every little thing that came together. Kay is a great person and an extremely talented artist. She customized our guest addresses and place cards to match the invitations and it really tied all the details together. She even worked with me on creating large welcome signs which were placed at the venue's entrances. Kay communicated with me very well, and with me being local, was always willing to meet up when passing along materials and returning completed work. Her designs are classic, although she adapts to the ever-changing wedding trends. I recommend her to ANYBODY and EVERYBODY!!! Kay did my wedding, but I will go to her for any other calligraphy needs in the future. Kay is the best!!

Kay's work is amazing! I found her at the last minute for a project I was planning on doing myself. I was considering dropping the project since I was two weeks away from my wedding and didn't have time to DIY it, but I'm so glad I found her instead. She did a much better job than I could have ever hoped to do, and her quote came in so much lower than I was expecting. I emailed her late on a Friday night, met with her Saturday morning, gave a very vague description of what I wanted, and about a week later I picked up 31 perfectly beautiful books. She was even able to accommodate one more last second request when I emailed her the day before I picked up the books asking her to add one more. If you're looking for beautiful, worry free calligraphy, I absolutely recommend Kay.

I can't begin to say how satisfied and impressed I was with CalligraphyByKay! She is the consummate professional...her techniques, experience and advice really set her apart from other vendors. There were so many great comments from our guests...and Kay is available to do the little "extras" that you might want included at your event. She's on top of the latest trends that are fresh and memorable. Book your event early though...she's also busy doing baby events, showers, birthdays, and bat mitzvah's too!
