Calypso Wedding Films

We had the pleasure of working with Calypso Wedding Films for our special day and both my now husband and I are so happy we chose them. We decided to move forward with Calypso Films in part as a recommendation from the photographer we selected. What sold us completely was when I connected with Mary to discuss their list of services and cost. From the beginning Mary was so patient and wonderful to speak with. I had so many questions and Mary patiently and warmly answered each question. In comparison with other videographers, Calypso’s fees were extremely reasonable for the different services and packages offered. Once we selected the package, the contract signing and ease of payment was seamless. I did book their services many months in advance and Mary made sure we connected throughout this time for my piece of mind. We connected more regularly as the wedding approached. We connected one week before the wedding so that Mary could understand what elements of the day/night we wanted them to focus on and what specifically we wanted to see on our wedding video, in essence she wanted to ensure our vision for the video footage came to fruition. Mary spent a good amount of time discussing a timeline; what to expect from their team as well as discussing all other pertinent details. At this time Mary advised me that Gabe and Dee would be our videographers for the event. Upon arrival, both, Gabe and Dee went to work. They immediately started capturing our get-ready’s ensuring no detail was left out. At times, they would have us do something twice on camera to ensure they captured the right footage with the right lens. They captured all the special moments of the get ready, including the little things like capturing a special picture I had wrapped around my bouquet. It rained on the day of my wedding and Gabe and Dee did not let this bring them down; they continued to capture video and direct us with delight and ease. They also worked wonderfully with the photographers and in complete cohesiveness and in unison – the photographers even mentioned how great it was partnering with Gabe and Dee; although they had worked with Calypso before, it was their first time, working with Gabe and Dee. Gabe and Dee were an absolute pleasure to work with and made us feel comfortable throughout the day/night. After the wedding, Mary reached out asking how our big day went and seeking feedback on Gabe and Dee. She also provided realistic expectations as to what would follow next including the timing of editing and finalization of video. Not long after, Calypso provided a highlight video as a teaser of the actual video. The highlight video was beautifully executed and brought tears to those family and friends who saw it – it was like reliving the day. Shortly after that, they provided the actual video, which was also beautifully put together. The video showcased what Mary, and I had discussed months before; our vision was truly captured. In addition to capturing those specified moments, Mary and team included special moments I hadn’t thought, which, made the video that more special. Lastly, Calypso delivered sooner than expected; although Mary did set a clear and realistic delivery timeframe, they delivered way beforehand. Finally, I highly recommend Calypso Wedding Films, not only do they listen to what you want, they go above and beyond ensuring your special day is captured to the fullest. Their services and fees are also very reasonable compared to other videographers. To us the customer service, attention to detail, promptness in answering our calls and emails, (both Mary and Jamie are equally awesome) to executing the video sooner than expected were second to none and made us extremely satisfied.
