Maureen did the most amazing job at our wedding-beyond my expectations! She knew exactly what my vision was for my wedding and she made that happen in the most perfect way. The entire year I spent planning, Maureen was always attentive, communicated so many amazing ideas with me and stuck within our budget at all times. The setup of the wedding was absolutely perfect and the groomsman still cannot stop talking about how cool their boutineers were. Maureen is extremely personable, friendly, talented and caring. If you’re not looking to work with just any big florist who treats you like another bride, another wedding, I urge you to reach out to Maureen. I am so glad I had the chance to work with her to make our wedding as beautiful and amazing as it was!

VERY DISAPPOINTED with the service. In summary, we asked for high centerpieces with various flowers (e.g., garden roses, anemones, white scabiosa, and various greens). Instead, she made the arrangements COMPLETELY with hydrangeas, with no variety of the flowers we asked for and no greens. We also paid for a floral arrangement to be used for a wedding sign, and we found out that she did not even bring that. When we shared our experiences with her, she was adamant that the design was what we asked for (despite it clearly being in the contract what we agreed on) and she did not refund us for the arrangements she did not bring to the venue. The overall cost for all of this was close to $4,000, and we were left with something completely different and charged for things we did not get in the end. I would strongly recommend seeking another florist.

Maureen handles everything with care and intent. She was absolutely one of the best vendors we've ever worked with and had the privilege of knowing. Her expertise in her craft is astounding and it is evident she cares about you as client. By the end of our experience with her, she felt more like a friend, and it was such an amazing experience. She went above and beyond on our day – installing pieces for our ceremony we thought we would have to do ourselves. I highly recommend Calyx Flower Design if you're planning a wedding or an event where you're searching for not only a quality product but also a personable and amazing vendor. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Maureen and the STUNNING job she did for my wedding! She is absolutely who you want to hire for your wedding flowers. I contacted her almost a year before my wedding and she was always in contact, checking in and making sure I was happy with the choices we made together. She is personable, really listens to what you want, will help guide you in the right direction if you're unsure, and will work within whatever budget you have. She can also pull off a pretty amazing flower garland! My wedding flowers were gorgeous and got tons of compliments thanks to her. I will recommend Calyx to anyone and everyone that needs flowers for an event in the LI area.

Maureen was amazing. She was able to take our fuzzy descriptions of what we wanted, and show us flowers that matched our descriptions, and then talk knowledgeably about their availability and price. She helped us put together a beautiful set of bouquets, corsages, boutonnieres, centerpieces, and bouquets for the pews, and set it all up seamlessly. Overall, a pleasure to work with, made for a beautiful day, and helped us manage our floral budget at the same time. Recommending to all my friends.

Maureen was an absolute pleasure to work with! She was super accommodating and incredibly knowledgeable. She came up with a plan that was perfect for what we wanted and was within budget. On the day of our wedding, Maureen provided gorgeous bouquets and centerpieces. We also rented an arbor from her which she draped with flowers and greens to make a beautiful backdrop for our ceremony. I can't recommend Calyx Flower Design enough!

Maureen is amazing! She listens so closely and works with you to create you perfect vision. Our flower budget was on the smaller side, but she made our flowers look huge and fabulous. We wanted rustic and a wide variety and she nailed it. SHe's always available and so calming. Goes above and beyond.

Maureen is great! I was referred to her by a close friend of mine who raved about her and also mentioned that her prices were very reasonable. She was able to provide extremely full beautiful flowers for my wedding and remained completely in budget. She's a lovely person to work with, to boot! She was able to "get" my vision for my flowers perfectly. Also, she added some very sweet extras (like some flowers on the cake and around the glass that we broke in the ceremony), that I wasn't expecting. I give her my highest recommendation. You won't go wrong with Maureen!

We really cannot say enough good things about Maureen. She is absolutely the vendor you want for your wedding day - she is incredibly warm, extremely responsive, professional, very open, gives great advice, LOVES what she does, and on top of all that, she is fairly priced! Throughout the process, Maureen sent photos, pins, called a few times to make sure that we were on the same page. She was also very flexible when having to adjust when we changed our venue during the wedding planning process. She even traveled out to look at the new venue to offer advice on arrangements! Our flowers for our April 2017 wedding were EXACTLY what we were looking for. She created adorable centerpieces in small vases, a beautiful archway, boutineers and corsages, and the bridal and maid of honor bouquets were GORGEOUS. The flowers were fantastic and added to the warm and inviting vibe we wanted for our wedding. After our wedding she sent us a lovely handmade card thanking us. We’ve been telling everyone to hire Maureen for their big day - she’s the best!

From our very first contact with her, we both knew right away that we needed Maureen to supply the flowers for our wedding. We were looking for a simple design in a farmhouse style and she immediately rattled off multiple ideas and flowers that would work perfectly. She has a tremendous knowledge of different flower varietals, how they hold up after a long wedding, their smells, and how they can work together. We have suggested Calyx Flower Design to all of our friends and family and after seeing how great or wedding flowers turned out, they are all going with Maureen. She’s the absolute best. Her prices are great, she’s incredibly easy to get in touch with and work with, she’s top notch on professionalism and totally worth every penny. Our wedding was at the Vineyard Caterers in Aquebogue, NY, on Columbus day weekend for about 150 guests. Maureen’s use of sunflowers and a tasteful addition of pumpkins and gourds really brought out the fall theme we were going for.

The arrangements and bouquets Calyx Flower Design created for our daughter's wedding could not have been more lovely! Our daughter was had been uncertain of what she wanted. Maureen gently steered her to choices and an overall feel that was truly beautiful; the bride was thrilled, and numerous guests complimented us on the gorgeous flowers.

Maureen is a creative genius and I couldn't have imagined that my floral arrangements would be as stunning as they were for my special day. Not only did she supply the flowers for my bouquets, boutonnieres, centerpieces and church décor, she also prepared special corsages for my aunts and grandmother, whom we had casually discussed during the initial consultation. She really took the time to listen to what I wanted and incorporated her artistic vision, when necessary. I highly recommend her to any bride who desires a classically beautiful floral display with a creative touch.

I cannot say enough good things about Maureen! From the beginning, just her being available and open to my ideas, she was so bright and positive and had an amazing energy. She did our centerpieces, an arch for our ceremony with caged candles, brides & bridesmaids bouquets, corsages, and boutonnieres, all of it which I came to her with pictures and she matched perfectly as well as adding to them as we came up with ideas! It all came out even better than I imagined and I would definitely recommend her!
