My cake is the sexiest cake I've ever seen and I have Atalanta to thank for making our day so, so beautiful.

From wedding arches, to high top and welcome table arrangements to the dining tables to the cake table. She did it ALL!!! We are from the Bay Area and had read many reviews of the best wedding florists in the San Diego area. We were steered in Aty's direction by many and we reached out in early January to begin the planning process. Atalanta was so easy and FUN to work with!!! She immediately navigated us through a virtual program on line to determine what our style was and what we were looking for on our special day. She put together an AMAZING inspiration board for us to have and adapt as necessary. The communication over the year was smooth and timely. And let me tell you, the day of the wedding, she ABSOLUTELY BLEW OUR MINDS!!! The wedding bouquets were out of this world GORGEOUS!! Our wedding was at the Martin Johnson House, an outside and cliff side venue in La Jolla. Our vision was connected farm tables with tons of candles, votives, and bright bursting flowers and greenery down the middle. The end product was more than we can have ever imagined or dreamt of!!! Atalanta elevated our dreams to whole another level and I'm still reeling about how incredibly STUNNING every thing looked. She is soooo good at what she does and I HIGHLY recommend this fabulous woman to assist you in making your wedding day dreams come true!! We will be forever grateful to her for creating this lasting memory on our special day.

She sketched many concept works for us, offered price quotes until we were happy, and worked around us throwing a change of plans when we changed the altar just weeks prior to the wedding. She welcomed me to her shop while she was busy, showed me around variations of flowers, and detailed how she would incorporate my something old into my bouquet. The arch was STUNNING. The bridesmaids almost squealed when they saw the bouquets because they were so beautiful! I would choose Camellia flowers ten times over!

utiful, but her work is phenomenal. I was lost for words when I walked into the chapel to walk down the aisle, and my jaw almost hit the floor when I saw the reception ballroom for the first time. I had met with Atalanta several times to discuss the color theme and centerpieces for my wedding (ivory & greenery with pops of wine/burgundy). She went above and beyond to make sure the stands, decor, vases, and flower arrangements were what I was envisioning, within my budget, and repurposed at both the ceremony and reception. She really cares about her client's needs and the quality of her work is unmatched. Set up a meeting and hire her for your wedding or event! You won't regret it.

She made an inspiration board and even worked with me to do a mock centerpiece to ensure that we were both on the same page. She truly loves what she does and it definitely shows. My arch and petal aisle were breath taking and my centerpieces were perfect. Our bouquets were amazing. All the flowers were fresh and beautifully arranged. Our sweetheart table was repurposed with our arch flowers and looked stunning. She decorated our tablets with lovely teal votives and candles which went perfectly with the flowers. Atalanta also added orchids to my wedding cake. Everyone kept complimenting the flowers and were excited to take the centerpieces home. In fact, at the end of the night, one of the servers at our venue, told me that she works lots of weddings and hands down my flowers were the most beautiful she had ever seen. I can’t thank Atalanta enough for making my flowers such a memorable part of my wedding day.

I also expressed my opinion on the type of vases I wanted for the reception, and while she didn't carry them in her shop, she searched around and rented from other florists and got EXACTLY what I wanted. I basically told her to do her thing on the flowers since I didn't know much, and man she delivered! She showed up the day of the wedding and my jaw dropped... They were the most beautiful flowers I've ever seen!!! Once I get the wedding pictures back I will certainly upload them for you all to see. Also, working with Atalanta was so much fun. Also, she and her assistants delivered flowers to my house, the ceremony site in Balboa Park and the reception site in La Jolla and did all of the tear down and clean up after the ceremony. I was really worried about the flower logistics but everything went without a glitch – they took care of everything! The prices were also very reasonable and Atalanta is incredibly friendly and a pleasure to work with. In terms of the flowers themselves, the bridal bouquets were exactly what I wanted and absolutely stunning and fresh. They did an incredible job with the ceremony site, completely transforming it. The ceremony decorations completely exceded my expectations! I had only two small complaints. First, reception centerpieces weren’t very fresh, such that even at the beginning of the reception they were looking a little sad and wilted. Second, I made it very clear that I wanted “movie star” roses for the centerpieces, but got plain orange ones instead. Easy mistake to make, but all the other flower shops I considered seemed to know the difference (they were also more expensive though, so it's a fair trade off I guess). Overall, we were very happy with Camellia Wedding Flowers and recommend them to couples on a budget who want personal attention and beautiful flowers.
