CAM is a beautiful, unique venue for wedding weekends. We had a Welcome Party there on the night prior to the wedding and the Reception there following the ceremony at Mt. Lebanon...
Chapel-Airlie Gardens. We were concerned about potential bad weather in Oct. so we were delighted to have a place that had a gorgeous outdoor patio and also a lovely indoor reception room. Brief thunderstorms on Friday night necessitated our being inside, while the wedding reception was held outside the following evening.
Heather Ivady, the event coordinator was absolutely amazing and so easy to work with. Having been a wedding coordinator in her previous life, she was very familiar with organizational details, and she had an excellent working relationship with the vendors.
Both events were stress free, and the guests loved the chance to appreciate the museum.
We did pay a small extra fee in order to have the wings of the museum open on Friday evening and it added another plus to the evening. Holly and her team's exhibits are so well done and perfect for the setting.
CAM does require you to use their bar service, but it was quite reasonable and in line with other venue charges. Because we had a number of non-drinkers, we did a consumption bar, and it worked out well for our situation. Je, the manager of the bar/cafe was delightful and so very helpful in terms of selecting beer and wine varieties and determining the number/types of glasses needed.
Even weeks after the wedding, I still consider that it was everything we had wanted, much more than we paid for and absolutely PERFECT in all regards. Many thanks to the entire CAM staff for all the help.
