Camp Comfort, a French Cowboys boutique hotel, is a lovingly restored 1860s landmark nestled on the banks of Cypress Creek in the heart of Comfort, TX. Formerly a historic social club and bowling alley, the property has been thoughtfully reimagined to blend its authentic soul with contemporary design and welcoming comforts, creating a one-of-a-kind setting for your wedding celebration. From intimate gatherings to grand celebrations, we have the perfect space for your event. Camp Comfort can host up to 200. Our indoor Social Hall is ideal for seated receptions of up to 80 guests. For larger events, our versatile event courtyard can be tented or left open to the stars. Creekside Ceremony Site: Exchange your vows under a canopy of ancient Cypress trees at our breathtaking waterfront ceremony site, with the gentle sounds of Cypress Creek as your soundtrack. On-Site Amenities: Your guests can enjoy our unique property features, including crackling firepits, an outdoor stage, a relaxing sauna and cold plunge, a ping pong table for friendly competition, and direct access to the river for picturesque moments or lounging in a hammock by the water. We believe your wedding should be a reflection of you, which is why we offer a list of trusted preferred vendors but are happy to welcome outside vendors of your choosing. Our team handles all the necessary wedding setup and teardown, allowing you to relax and fully enjoy your day. As part of the French Cowboys collection, Camp Comfort is more than just a venue; it's an experience. We are dedicated to providing exceptional service in a warm, welcoming, and design-forward space that celebrates the unique character of the Texas Hill Country. Accommodation Extend your celebration by offering guests a stay in our cozy on-site cabins. Our property features 12 unique rooms, comfortably accommodating up to 42 guests. For a truly private and immersive experience, you have the option to reserve the entire property for your wedding weekend, giving you and your guests exclusive access to all the amenities Camp Comfort has to offer.

Owners
We’re Franklin and Dylan, better known as the French Cowboys. We grew up between two cultures, with French roots and American spirit. When we moved to Texas to follow our dreams of becoming entrepreneurs and hoteliers, we quickly fell in love with the Hill Country, the rolling hills, historic towns, and the kind of hospitality that just makes you feel at home. We started French Cowboys to bring something fresh and different to the Hill Country. Properties that are design-forward, welcoming, and grounded in the character of the places they belong to. Every space we create is meant to feel like a true escape: warm, relaxed, and full of little details that make it special. Our goal? To celebrate the charm of the Hill Country and share it with a new generation of travelers.

Having our wedding here was easily the best thing we ever did. We began our wedding planning journey at Camp Comfort in the summer of 2019. Lisa (who is the owner) is nothing short...

of amazing. She was kind, caring, patient, and so unbelievably understanding. We had to make many changes during our 2 years of pandemic wedding planning & I can honestly say Lisa helped make everything a breeze. She truly cared about us and we are so thankful for the kindness she showed time and time again. If I had to plan a wedding all over again I would choose to work with Lisa & have it at Camp Comfort every time. She really is the best!! If you want a beautiful, charming, intimate, whole weekend celebration type of wedding this is the venue for you. Don’t get me wrong it has more than enough room to hold a larger wedding. It is super spacious! But we really loved our small wedding here. We had our rehearsal dinner in the dining hall Friday evening, our wedding outdoors on Saturday, and went in the dining hall for dinner + dancing. Best of all our closest family + bridal party was able to stay the whole weekend with us here. Most of our family was from out of Texas so having a place for everyone we love to stay was the icing on top. Every single cabin is gorgeous, there’s so much love & care put into every detail. Our friends & family haven’t stopped talking about how much they loved their stay here. We hung out by the beautiful river under the amazing trees, we watched the stars at night, had bonfires, and played games.. and so much more. We really had the best weekend and one cool thing is if you get married here, since it is a B&B — you can always come back to the place you got married for a mini vacation or anniversary trip!! We can’t speak highly enough of Camp Comfort.

s such fun to see this wedding evolve from 2019 and roll through the punches of 2020 and into 2021. We loved working with you though the thick and thin and all of those extended dates. When your wedding day finally arrived, it was so much more special seeing it come to fruition for you, your families and friends and knowing this is a real love story that will be able to survive and thrive in the years ahead. Camp Comfort was beyond perfect for our wedding. We were planning from abroad and never got to see the venue before hand, so it felt like a gamble, but they seriously impressed us ...

and communicated wonderfully throughout the planning process. We did a weekend buyout of the venue (so the fee was for the event plus the accommodation for 28 guests), giving our family incredibly comfy rooms and ourselves time to set up and prepare the wedding (as well as enjoy a dip in the creek). The venue itself is stunning so hardly needed decorating, and the place is just full of quiet spaces to enjoy. We held our ceremony by the creek (gorgeous in springtime!) and then did the reception in the courtyard, which was more than enough space for our 60 people to eat, dance, and enjoy the campfire. The social hall was perfect for setting up guest tables, dessert, our bar, etc., and provided a cool space on a warm day. As for the staff, I can't speak more highly of them! Kara, the site manager, just took off so much stress from me as a bride, helping clear up so that the space was pretty much tidy by the morning after. It felt like we were hosted by friends—Camp Comfort might be the friendliest place I've ever been.

No words for how perfect this venue was for our wedding. We housed our entire bridal parties (two brides :) and family here for the weekend (approx 28 people). We had our rehearsal...

dinner catered in the Social Hall (35ppl) our wedding creekside (120ppl) and our reception in the courtyard. Every detail at this place is thoughtful and deliberate and the hospitality of Camp Comforts owners/designers was unmatched. If you like history, style, and camping, it’s the perfect venue.
