Camp Ketcha was a great spot for our wedding! Everyone was nice to work with, and the whole thing was truly lovely. Thank you!
My wife and I got married at Camp Ketcha on May 4th, and the venue exceeded our expectations!
We chose the venue for 3 reasons: it had outdoor, covered outdoor and indoor space; w...
e could provide our own alcohol, and we could self cater.
We wanted the various space option, because though we really wanted to have the ceremony outdoors, we were getting married in May in New England, so the possible weather ranged from beautiful at 70 to a snow storm. Fortunately, the weather cooperated and we were able to get outdoor photos at the venue and have an outdoor ceremony. We then had the pavilion area for our cocktail hour, and indoors for our reception.
The venue permitted us to serve our own alcohol and food (with the appropriate insurance) which allowed us to save a ton of money on catering and bar service, but we also could have had a fully catered wedding if we had wanted.
The great hall was an amazing space for the ceremony, with high ceilings, a massive fireplace and a large side room for the food. There was also a kitchen for food storage and prep.
The venue also provided and set up the tables and chairs for the indoor space and the chairs for the outdoor ceremony (at an additional fee).
The staff there were also amazing to work with and made everything super easy. One of my favorite parts was that the had created a map of the venue with to scale tables so we could print it out and take a picture so they knew exactly where to put everything.
Overall, we have nothing but good things to say about Camp Ketcha! We also really liked that our money was going to support a kids camp rather than just into someones pocket.
We had our wedding ceremony and reception at Camp Ketcha last week. It was the perfect venue for us. Mary Ellen was great to work with. She was always quick to respond to any quest...
ions I emailed her and was very accommodating when we had changes to our timeline or needed to buy additional hours for setting up the night before and the day of. She definitely knows what she's doing when it comes to the logistics of making an event run smoothly there. In regard to the venue itself, there was admittedly more work for a venue like this because we had to rent a lot of the items for the receptions and bring in all our own vendors but it was so worth it. Our outdoor ceremony was beautiful; all the trees and greenery made for great photos. Our reception was inside the Great Room and it was a great space for the reception because it has enough color and character on its own that we didn't need a lot of decorations to make it look good. Also, being able to easily open and close the sliding barn doors made it really easy to transition between cocktail hour to the dinner during the reception and transition to the ice cream sundae bar for dessert without guests seeing everything going on behind the scenes. We especially loved that our guests only had to travel to one location for the wedding and only had to walk a few feet to get from the ceremony to the reception. We're so glad we had our wedding at Camp Ketcha!
We had our ceremony and reception at Camp Ketcha. There are a few spots outside to have a ceremony, which we had planned on. It ended up being a cloudy day so we ended up having th...
e ceremony inside. It was as beautiful inside if not more than outside. The barn, rustic style and high ceilings made for the perfect wedding reception. We had about 90 guests and it was just the right amount of room. I would check our their website to see pictures. The on-site rental contact person is very helpful and willing to answer questions.
