Each meal, she was told what she could have in the family style meal and then she went, usually with a counselor who also had dietary restrictions, to the kitchen where her separate but comparable food was available. She had allergy friendly pizza and (most importantly) the exact same ice cream we buy at home. Even at the open house they had a bin of allergy friendly ingredients at the s’mores station. If you have a kid with a food allergy, you know how great that is. She ranked the food 10/10. I was easily able to communicate with the camp director beforehand to clarify if I needed to bring anything specific. My older daughter ranked the food 7/10, but she’s my pickier kid… she didn’t like the chicken because it had… bones… but there were other protein options and she appreciated that she could always have a sun butter and jelly sandwich, though she never did. She is my macro conscious athlete and she noted that there were proteins and “plant matter” offered at every meal. Many people have commented about the well water. It’s definitely well water which my kids had never tasted before, but both my children were able to fill their water bottles up as often as they needed at a specific location that had “filtered water” that they said was much better— it was a nonissue for both of them. Neither of them commented on their cabins being particularly buggy. My August camper had a few more mosquito bites than my July camper, but they were diligently reminded to use bug spray and it was not that bad. Get your kids the DEET stuff and not the natural stuff, because some girls did not fare as well it seems. They enjoyed all the camp activities and loved the pool and the all camp games. Cabin size for each of them was great, like 9 kids, and socially it was a great experience, no cliqueyness or exclusionary behavior was noted by either kid. Counselors were very fun and caring and promoted a positive environment for both of my kids. I really struggled being away from my kids that long, but they have a site parents are able to see pictures on which was really reassuring and fun to have a peek into what they are up to. In my opinion, Camp Linden has retained the best elements of the “90s childhood” experience that I wanted for my kids, but has adapted and updated with all the best elements of the current times.

ive in is the best lesson of all. I couldn’t think of a better camp for my children to explore and have fun at. Summer is around the corner so I’ll be recommending camp Linden to all my friends and family. Thank you GSHOM for making this camp such a fantastic place for our girls!!

who is who. Other reviews have mentioned the well water, but it isn’t as strong as they make it out to be. You don’t notice it after the first meal. Will be back very soon!
