Although a beautiful venue, I’d skip this for any shower or party type event. My friend booked her shower here months and months ago. Upon agreement, the manager (at the time, because they seemed to have gone through quite a few in just a short time!) reassured her that if she wanted to order custom sugar cookies to serve to her guests, as long as they were in a sealed wrapper, they’d be allowed.
Well, we get to the shower day, and the new manager (because of course the manager she spoke to originally no longer works there) said she’d be charged if anybody opened the cookies because they make cookies there. So, hundreds of dollars spent on cookies for her shower only to have to tell the guests they cannot eat them while in attendance. The manager made sure to pop in several times during the shower to make sure too.
Overall, it’s not worth the hassle because the manager you make your agreement with likely won’t be there by the time your event comes. You’re much better off elsewhere.
We had 65 total peope for my wedding shower. The food was amazing. The ceaser salad was awesome. The servers were very friendly. We had the room upstairs to ourselves and were seperate from the restaurant which was perfect but anymore then 70 would seperate you to much I think.
Fo our rehearsal dinner we rented the upper room and it was so great. We are able to relax an spread out and the staff was wonderful. We had almost 40 people and the food was good but had previously gone to a bridal shower of about 100 and the food was not good. I suggest more intimate groups in this setting.
This was my first time at Camp Ticonderoga and we had our rehearsal dinner there. They were able to schedule us last minute in the Hunts Room. The servers were very attentive and the food was AMAZING! They played with the kids in attendance and made sure everyone had drinks and anything else they needed all for a fairly decent price. Gratuity was a bit higher than necessary, but hey, there's flaws everywhere and this was worth it! Will definitely go again!
I recently attended a shower for my friend Amy who is getting married and it was my first time at Camp Ticonderoga. They had us upstairs in the loft area and it was really cozy and I loved the atmosphere. Our food was really good and the servers were attentive but not annoying. I would definitely recommend it for a baby or bridal shower.
